My daughter and I were needing a place to eat on Christmas Day and were excited that Brio was open. We made a reservation through OpenTable. The restaurant is quite large; there's seating outside, at the bar or booths and tables. Many of the tables are covered with paper and crayons are available to draw your masterpiece. We were greeted and seated shortly after arriving. Our servers was friendly and efficient. We were pleased that he communicated to split our pasta dishes. The bruschetta sampler we had with some of the best I've had. The pasta was good too; I would've liked a little more sauce, but we did split it so... The bread brought out before the meal is good, but it's quite crunchy. I would like to see some oil in balsamic vinegar served with that instead of the cold hard butter.

Pretty nice place! We came after our matinee so it was right before the lunch rush, but there were a few patrons already dining in (always a good sign) Food was incredible! We got the pasta à la vodka, the sauce was perfect and it was served over cheese tortellini and topped with crispy bacon! The salads were also both really good and the tiramisu is an absolute must. Our first server was really great, young lady; we discussed our love over books and upcoming film adaptations, she was leaving for the day but did not make us feel at all rushed. The second server was ready for us to get out of there. We placed 1 drink order with him and he immediately brought us the bill afterwards so we weren't too pleased with that & honestly have heard about that type of service from other friends. We'll prob go back again but keep a look out on him for next time-- it was like 2P, you're not closing shop, sir!

Great Happy Hour Spot with Tasty Food & Drinks I love the happy hour here--it's daily from 3 to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and available in the bar area and on the patio. They offer a great selection of food and beverages for just $8. The service is consistently excellent, which makes the experience even better. I've tried the chicken strawberry salad, the flatbread, and the eggplant with shrimp--all were delicious. The sauce on the eggplant and shrimp dish is absolutely to die for! Drinks are strong, flavorful, and well-crafted. While the regular menu is on the pricier side, the portions are generous and the quality is worth it. Highly recommend this spot, especially during happy hour!

Friendly, cheerful, and a Ray of sunshine in the mysterious and dim lights, reminiscent of a speakeasy. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it came with Skinny Fries. Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.

The restaurant is large with a nice bar area and the service was very friendly and efficient! Apps: Chili Momos (Veg) and Gobi Manchurian - the momos were super crispy and the sauce was very spicy in a good way! The Manchurian was so saucy and packed with flavor. Recommend both! Mains: Himalayan Thukpa, Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta - the Thukpa was the highlight! The broth was perfectly salty with a great umami taste. The Malai Kofta was rich and I enjoyed the cheesy koftas. The butter tikka momos were creamy and rich, while the choila momos with the chef's sauce brought a spicy spark that stayed with me. The drinks matched the season perfectly. The Gurkhas Old Fashioned was smooth with a twist, and the hot rum punch felt like warmth in a glass just right for winter. The place itself was cozy, with a vibe that made me want to linger. Even during busy hours the staff stayed friendly, though the food took a little longer to arrive. Still, the service felt welcoming. Most of the starers are mouthwatering, even the unexpected Ruben Eggrolls are a delight. Less daring items like the coconut shrimp are equally good. Without a doubt my go to entree is the Beef Wellington. I remember La Madeleine had an affordable one on their menu in the late nineties, this is reminiscent. I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also took a bottle of GH Mumm Grand Cordon, which also did not taste as anticipated. I think the most plausible explanation might be heat damage, as both wines are usually well regarded but came up short.
