I recently visited Lazy Turtle RiverFront Grill & Tiki Bar for the first time while attending a celebration with my community organization, and we had a group of about 12 people. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Our server, Audrey, truly made the night. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and friendly--especially impressive given the size of our group. She kept everything organized, checked in on us consistently, and made sure everyone felt taken care of without ever rushing us. Her positive attitude and professionalism really stood out and added to the celebratory atmosphere. I ordered the island rigatoni with jerk grilled chicken (not listed by that exact name on the website), and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, the portion was satisfying, and honestly, everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. Across the board, the food was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Between the great food, waterfront vibe, and outstanding service from Audrey, Lazy Turtle was the perfect spot for our group celebration. this place used to be so good, now it was really lacking in the food & management. ordered the oysters which were good overall. unfortunately got the mahi tacos which tasted of straight vinegar & not like mahi at all. asked to reorder the shrimp tacos instead (our waitress was super sweet thought). after reordering the manager came over and proceeded to say it was my tastebuds that were the problem and "our owner tried them and they tasted fine" which yes it may have been my preferred taste but seemed quiet rude to both my husband and I who have been in the restaurant industry for years. The only reason I'm not giving this place a five is because I made a reservation online and when I got there, there was no one to greet us and we had to flag down an employee only to be told we can seat ourselves. Not sure if that it is the norm or because it really wasn't busy due to the weather. We were able to sit by the window, which gave us a lovely view of the water, which was really great. Our waitress Robin, was amazing! She was really friendly gave us a great suggestions on whether or not things were good on the menu, and was very attentive and kind. Everything we ordered was really good with the exception of the kids pizza. Overall, a great experience celebrating Fathers Day, and we will definitely be back on a day with better weather so we can sit outside read more

We stopped at Lazy Turtle for an unexpected lunch. It is such a cute little hidden gem right that sits right on the Indian River Lagoon. It actually may have been our best meal down here! We ordered the Tres Tiki Taco Loco (shrimp and mahi) and they were so amazing! My mom said they may have been the best shrimp tacos she's ever had, and I may have to agree. Their mango salsa and volcano sauce is amazing!! My dad really liked their shrimp po boy as well. Drinks were good, especially the Coco Locco Mojito! 10/10, such a great find and we definitely plan to go back. Came here for my birthday dinner and I really liked my volcano shrimp that was gluten free. I loved that out back they had a saxophone player it made for a really nice atmosphere. It is a nice little place on the river. It might not be somewhere I go all the time but for a special occasion it was nice. The server was nice and made sure we were okay through out our time there. My husband's drink was just a bit too strong but they did go back and change it and just make a virgin one for him. His food he wasn't super happy with that there was too much dressing on his sandwich. All in all it's a nice spot just not somewhere I would find myself frequenting. read more

Came here with our party of 10, including 5 kiddos. Got right in on at around 6:00 in a Friday, which could be a red flag. The Lazy Turtle turned out to be a great choice. Service was fast and accurate. The only problem was we ordered fish and chips from the kids menu, but received the adult portion. Our server noticed immediately and only charged us for the kids meal. The rest of the food was great, especially the blackened grouper, blackened Mahi and the sushi. They also had a singer that was perfect for dining hours on the deck during our meal. The name of this restaurant matches the service. Don't waste your time and money here. We arrived here sometime before 3p. Didn't leave this place until after 530p. The restaurant was empty at the time we arrived and left. Maybe 5 tables occupied the whole time. They took a few minutes to push some tables together for our party of 8 outside. After we sat down it took a long time for menus to get to us. Then it took a long time for us to get our waters and other drinks. Then our food order was taken another 10-15 mins later. 4p rolls around and no food. 430p rolls around and no food. We ordered a few sandwiches, soups, tacos and nachos. Nothing complicated or requiring anyone to go fish and hunt for our food in the ocean. One of us got up and searched for the server or manager and was told our food would be out shortly. 20 mins roll by and we get up and go check again. Then we notice the guy that was seated not too long ago at the bar got his nacho order. It was time to throw a fit. The family next to us got their food pretty late too. Kids got served first and parents food came out like 45 minutes later. We go in and try to cancel our food so we can leave because it was clear to us that a few people that had arrived way after us had got their food. So apparently according to the manager, there was an issue with the system and they had to key our order in 3 times!!! And none of the 2 managers were able to communicate this to us and tell us that there would be a delay in our food due to this. As 1 friend was talked to 1 manager, our food came out. This was after 5. When the waitress brought out our food, she told us that our food would be comped!!!! All of it. Except alcohol. That was fine. So then we inhaled our food in 5 minutes cause we were starving to death and ready to drive back home to Orlando and wanted to get the h*** out of there. Then it seemed like the 2 managers did not communicate with each other because one of them did not want to comp the entire meal. But the other manager said she would. Except for alcohol. We were already closed out and paid for all of our drinks and beers. Probably 16 drinks between all 8 of us. Left the waitress cash tips. So let's start with the reviews. Several commented on how the lazy turtles service was, well" slow as a turtle" ! Our service was excellent and considering Friday night at 7:00 pm prime time. Started with shrimp cocktail, not jump but large. Excellent sea food sauce. Could have been a couple additional shrimp for $19.95, the wedge side said wax huge and delicious. My spouse has the Hemingway with snapper was wonderful. My seafood paella was amazing . Scallops, shrimp, sausage and mussels. BAIT & SWITCH we ordered the lobster & shrimp tempura sushi rolls ($28 ea). They were impressively huge, until I cut it (too big for my mouth LOL) & realized the shrimp roll was IMITATION KRAB & the lobster roll in 3 bites I saw 1 small piece of lobster & mostly just the IMITATION KRAB. They have a California roll for half the price. Looks like they just fry it, turn bites on side & cover with filler & sauces to hide what it is. The Owner's reply was I was the 1st person to notice in 7 years & that is just how they make it. No excuse ... dishonest misrepresentation, those are NOT shrimp or lobster rolls, not even a mixture of both. Absolutely worst restaurant we've been to in Brevard. Horrible service. We were there for 2 hours because it took forever to get anything, including water. Lobster bisque description says served on a sour dough roll. Soup wasn't hot and it was like they just threw a regular sub roll in it. Grouper sandwiches were fishy. Tacos barely had fish. The California roll was like it came from a gas station. I asked if they make their rolls there because I could tell the quality was terrible. She said they bring them in. Menu said crab but it was definitely krab. They screwed up on some of the orders. Will never ever go back. Prices were high, but that's expected on waterfront. What wasn't expected was the piss poor food and service. Do not give them one dime or your will regret it!!! read more

Extremely overpriced. Foods ok, takes a long time to get your food. Good location but not worth the price.

We arrived and given the option to sit inside or outside. There was one table inside that had 4 people sitting at a table. We sat outside and there lots of open tables. We were seated for 25 minutes and all the servers just walked by. Our party of 5 got up and walked out. Other people outside heard our complaints and they said they had the worst service and the food took over an hour. This was a Saturday night at 8:30pm was not that busy with at least 5 servers. I hope that this was just a fluke, but we will see next time and I will update the post. read more

Wow, use to be my go to restaurant when family or friends came in from out of town! Unfortunately not any longer, my sister and her husband were in town over this Easter and both have been to the Lazy Turtle several times. We went Saturday evening expecting the same great food and a reasonable price! My sister was the first to notice her favorite dish had gone up quite a bit I look at the menu and sure enough everything on the menu went up in price! The food while good was not delicious and we came to expect! My brother-law likes to enjoy a cocktail before dinner (Gin & Tonic) and he believes the Gin had been "watered Down" ! I have been to the Lazy Turtle many times and always enjoyed my experience and often I would recommend it to many of my friends and associates. Nice size, Fresh, clean and goes down smoothly. That is everything you want. I am not a cocktails person but the cocktails are flavorful, fun and tasty. Definitely order a cocktail or share one. Margarita with splash of mango. passionfruit cocktail. The deserts are fresh, moist and full of yummy goodness. Presentation is lovely like you are being celebrated while you enjoy the water front view of dolphins, pelican frolicking in the water. Love all the option of seating indoor in a more casual dinning or outdoor under umbrellas or not to catch a ray of Sunshine on your skin while Listening to band depending what Time and day you visit. All the areas are fun and enjoyable with a view of the bay. There always a smiling host to great and happy to seat you. They all are knowledgeable, attentive and always happy to serve. to start off, the food was absolutely amazing. best food i've had in a while. the environment was so pleasant, fluent, it was an entire beachy vibe and i love it. the only reason i took a star off was due to the wait time between the order and when we got our food. my waitress was very kind, and the kitchen was very lenient with my tables weird requests. however, there are so many great things about this restaurant and i 100% recommend it even with the wait time. bring your chattiest friend, and im sure it'll be great. read more

Went to lunch to catch up with a friend and had an amazing time at the Lazy Turtle. It was a beautiful afternoon so we sat on the patio with lovely water views and a nice breeze! Russ our server was fantastic and attentive! The bartender made awesome drinks and the food was great. I ordered the breezy summer salad with chicken. The portions were huge and I was able to make two meals out of the salad. The wild berry dressing was so yummy! The California Roll sushi was great and very fresh! It was Mother's Day, we are very patient and polite customers as I've worked in the restaurant industry in multiple establishments throughout the treasure coast and space coast for 10+ years. After waiting over 2 hours for our entrees and listening to the party next to us get several wrong dishes ( who got sat 30 minutes after us) and expressing my concerns to the manager she had no apologies and avoided any resolutions. It was Mother's Day, so I understand it's busy. But to some extent, you have to have a system in place for these things. First off, we waited 10 minutes for waters and never got taken down our drink orders throughout the entire service. We ordered sushi, and 10 minutes later were told they were out of that one. We ordered another sushi, they told us another 10 minutes later that they were out of all sushi. This must be a miscommunication between staff because some people said they had it and some people said they didn't. The steak we ended up ordering was low quality, and not the best. Waited 15 minutes for the waitress to address us. Gave us menus and walked away. By the time she came back we had waited another 15 minutes and was ready to order. Still with no water. We had to ask 2 more times for water. Apps took another 15 minutes to come out and they were wrong. Brought out one of the apps and a soup that someone had ordered for dinner. Soup was cold. Finally got the apps right and we once again waited. Dinner was awful. I was done. Guy brought our food out with another soup and just threw it randomly on someone's plate. I went to grab it but the waitress helped me out by taking it. My order was again wrong and we had to beg for another pitcher of water. Fish was fishy, sushi was store bought, and the mahi tacos were super salty. We finally got out of there after 2 hours. It wasn't super busy but they seemed under staffed. If looking for a beautiful spot on the water offering seafood and a great ambiance in Palm Bay, this is definitely it. I have been twice so far. On the first visit I had marked it as my favorite spot in PB; the second visit, and still rings true. The first visit, we sat on the outdoor patio with a group of friends and enjoyed steel drums, which was the perfect relaxing outdoor vibe. We enjoyed a selection of appetizers and drinks. The coconut mojitos were perfection as was fish dip, nachos, Brazilian cheese bread, calamari, and sushi. Service was excellent as well. On the second visit, my group enjoyed fried oysters, burger, sushi, and whole red snapper and enjoyed the indoor dining. They must have had a new bartender as the coconut mojito was quite different and the margaritas were some of the strongest ever (strong, but tasty- maybe why they kept on ordering them lol). This place doesn't deserve a star it's self the food is just bad I tried giving it a second chance and I over paid for the worst steak of my life . My waitress was not good about knowing the menu. And I even seen a dead cockroach on the floor. Do not recommend to anyone there parking lot also stays flooded when you try to enter.
