These guys are the best. They are the only locksmiths I can count on every time. I'm a scooter mechanic and have had countless customers loose their keys. The guys at LB have mastered the long lost art of making a new key from the ignition lock. I bring the lock to them and they produce a new key usually in under 30 minutes. I have called around no one else even offers this service! The only other place I've heard of is way out in the valley and charges twice as much. I'm grateful to have found them and never hesitate to recomend them to others. They keep limited hours but its barely an inconvenience compared to getting a bad key cut elseware or having to order and install all new locks in my case. read more

I've been to this location 6 times all together, 2 times it was good and didn't have issues. The 3rd time I made a copy of my key and they charged me $10 yet the Key didn't work, then the last 3 times I went in to try to make a copy of my keys the older gentlemen tells me not without a cover letter which we Don't do. I offered email and he said yet. So I come back and he tells me he needs the email printed with a business card. I was so annoyed because it was my day off and I just wasted more time. I told him that I wish he would have said that when I was there last so I could bring the correct documents, He said He did tell me and I must be calling him a liar! It was insane... why would I need to lie over a key that I went previously to ask to make a copy and still come back? Save your time and money and go elsewhere! I had a problem with my car -- the key wouldn't turn in the ignition. It took twenty minutes of jiggling around to get it to start. I took it to the Toyota dealership in Valencia and they quoted me upwards of $600 -- $325 to change the ignition cylinder and more to change the "rack" whatever that is. I said I couldn't afford it and got the car back from them. My neighbor suggested I try L B Locksmith. I hadn't even thought of having a locksmith fix it. I took it in and they were able to fix the existing ignition cylinder (no need for the $135 replacement, never mind a new rack) and cut me a new key for $105. I reckon they saved me about $500. That's worth 5 stars on Yelp. Is he going to win Miss Congeniality? I don't know -- but he was perfectly polite and professional to me and obviously very skilled at what he does. And he saved me $500. Very highly recommended. read more

Needed 2 keys duplicated for my Dodge Avenger I allready programmed them myself and looked at the reviews of several key shops the review for this one said "they were rude" so as a professional myself I took that as a good review! However he was anything BUT rude( was kinda let down a little) he did a great job in only moments! And for cheap!!! People like this have been dealing with your problem for years and as a customer You have been dealing with your problem for minutes or maybe hours. If they are rude to you, then you have done something stupid and deserve a rude response! If you have a key that is stamped "do not copy" at least have the common sense to at least cover or hide that message! don't get mad cuz you tried to copy something that is illegally to copy and cry about it you should put some kind of effort other that jumping in the car and showing up. I had some keys that 6 other lock smiths were unable to copy. I saw this place when I was in the area. Guy said he could do it. I ordered 3 copies. When I got the keys in my hands, I lined them all up with the original. 2 were perfect, one was visibly way off. I asked the guy if he could redo it and he got offended. He said something to the affect of, "I've been doing this for 26 years. If you don't like it, just leave them all. If I did it, it's good." I could see that it was NOT good. I persevered and he got more and more upset. Eventually I held the key up in his face and said "STOP TALKING AND LOOK AT THE KEYS." He did, and said that it was off. He redid it. So, the long and short of it was that as far as customer service is concerned, this place leaves a bit to be desired. But at the end of the day I got 3 functioning keys that no one else could do and the price was right and it only took a few minutes. read more

This place is not only incredibly convenient but the guy is super nice and quick. I was in and out of there in about 3 minutes and a simple key only cost me $1.25. Awful. They tell you one price on the phone and then see you (not your key, but you) in person and decide if they're going to overcharge you. Will never go back. Would rather deal with honest, non-discriminatory, and polite business people. read more

So quick, so easy. My husband swears the guy popped out four keys in under six seconds and charged less than $2. Ryan is amazing! I lost my key while I was moving at 9 pm. He was the only Locksmith that would come and assist me with getting my car key replaced for my 2003 GMC Envoy. He was so helpful and educated me on the process for creating keys as well as knowing the difference between a licensed locksmith and a scam artist, you definitely need to know the difference so your car won't ends up being stolen after a con artist creates a key and returns to to steal. My door handle was broken and I was locked in my apartment. He came on Christmas Eve at 4pm and crawled through my balcony window on the 12th floor to get in. NOW THAT IS SERVICE. He came promptly and as stated and his prices were very reasonable and he replaced the door handle and lock with high quality for less than I expected. Would definately use him again. read more

Quick, but not a very convenient location in a cramped strip mall with very little parking, and hours aren't convenient if you work 9-5. I also came here after hearing reviews that they will copy "DO NOT DUPLICATE" keys and he refused to because he didn't have a written note. While that makes sense for security purposes, it was still disappointing because I rushed to get this done while they were still open and I had only decided to come here because of previous Yelp reviews saying that they would do this. I'd also been told in the past that you simply needed to bring these to a bonded locksmith and it would be okay to have those copied (and, in fact, did that in the past -- perhaps that place was doing it under the table, but who knows). Regardless, make sure you're aware of this before you try to go over there. read more
