The service is impeccable, the whole team is professional and it feels like you are home upon your arrival. The ambiance is warm, the lighting is perfectly yellow gold and honed, the bathrooms are clean, the food is predictably delicious and comforting with a twist and the drinks, have I mentioned the cocktails? Service is unmatched. Came in with a friend (who forgot his mask in the car) and immediately one of the staff brought him over one before taking our temperatures. I was looking forward to eating here after reading all the great Google reviews, but alas, it fell very short of expectations. When we first walked in, there was no acknowledgment from the hostess. She and another employee were busy setting up a large table for about 12 people, but a simple "Good evening, I will be with you in a minute" would have done the job. So we just stood there and waited. Finally, another person came over, probably the maître d', no smile whatsoever, and we were seated. Our waitress was OK but has not checked on us during the entire meal. My gin fizz drink was way too sour and when I asked for the bartender to make it a bit sweeter, I could swear the waitress, the bartender and the maître d' were clearly making fun of my request, like they were literally staring at me and cracking up. Now onto the food. Chicken dumplings were good, but most likely, these are not made on premises. Halibut was good, a bit on a dry side, but I loved the sauce it came with. Probably the best lobster roll I have ever had. Staff is so friendly and it's always a nice time when we go! Food is incredible. Also had the chicken parm which was excellent too. We hosted a fantastic bridal shower for my sister here on a Saturday afternoon. The space fit our 30 people perfectly and for the price what we were provided with was beyond generous. The food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding. We were able to arrive two hours in advance to set up and were immediately offered drinks even though our "open bar" start time didn't begin for hours. Matt was so easy going and made the planning process a breeze. Nothing we asked for was "too much" or a problem at all. My fourth visit to this comparatively new restaurant convinced me that consistently great food will create repeat customers like me. My first experience was at the bar where I shared a few apps and a main course with a friend. I said to myself ( yes I occasionally talk to myself and I know you do too!) I'm coming back for more. The owner/chef was formerly with Panama Hattie's in Huntington.... another 5 star dining experience. This last trip I had Pappardelle Carbonara. The pasta was prepared perfectly and the sauce made with love for sure. It was served with a healthy portion of jumbo shrimp. I did pause half way through my meal to watch my son devour his Double Cut Pork-chop. This is one of the house specialties. My son said it was the best he's ever had. This boy knows and has some refined taste. Trust him. Zucchini Linguine Seafood looked WOW. Loaded with fresh seafood on top of nicely "sauced" Zucchini Linguine. Oh yeah... had a taste of the Organic Chicken Parm. Very well could be my entree next visit. Fish and meats are all fresh and wild or organic. My next visit will start with Grilled Octopus and Blue Point Oysters. The chef, Matt, is truly a culinary artist. Full bar. Some fun house cocktails like a Bacon Old Fashioned and The Social Cocktail. Parking is readily available. Does get crowded later in the evening. First off I'll say the food was great, drinks were good, but the manager or owner whoever the guy walking around in a chef outfit, he was rude, disrespectful and rushing my family and I out the door. Creative but classic menu, very thoughtfully executed. The seafood is super-fresh, and I am very selective about ordering seafood in restaurants. The clams in the appetizer I had were fresh, sweet, and without a single grain of grit, and the halibut, which was on special, was of equal caliber. I had not been to this restaurant for some time. I had bad experiences with each of the two previous restaurants in this location so LB Social got judged as a result. I was in the area visiting another restaurant that ended up being closed so I gave it a shot. I really was impressed. First of all the server was amazing. She knew details about every item on the menu including the specials and I trusted her enough to take her recommendations. I got dumplings to start and had baked cod as a main course (from the specials menu). My dining partner had the chicken parm (also from the specials menu). All was incredible. Definitely prepared very well. The food itself was also very fresh. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. Matt, the owner truly treats all of his customers like family and exemplifies how a restaurant should be ran. Brian goes above and beyond and takes such amazing care of all of his customers. The entire staff truly makes the experience that much better. We started with a Maple Bacon Old Fashion and the Bee's Knees which were both so good. We also always start with the oysters, they're fresh and absolutely delicious. The chopped salad is so simple yet filled with so much flavor and a staple each time. They offer a diverse menu with healthy options like zucchini noodles that I absolutely love. The steak, where do I even begin? I've had both the grilled skirt steak and the filet mignon and both are absolutely to die for. The chimmichurri on the skirt steak is freshly made and compliments the steak so well. I never leave without the crispy fingerling potatoes, they're insane - crispy and salty. Order the mushroom risotto, it's creamy and made with fresh mushroom stock and you will absolutely not regret it. This is hands down one of the best establishments in Long Beach. When the dining room is open Matt takes care of his customers as if they are family. Even during difficult times he has opened a take out window and is serving fresh delicious food daily. The take out portions he serves are as large as they are when you eat in house (which I can say is not usually the case at a lot of other restaurants on long Island). When picking up my order I was greeted by smiling faces and a positive attitude at the window. But this place was phenomenal. I basically pestered the chef about opening a location in midtown, because I will really miss this place. It's a must visit in Long Beach - the chef really cares about the food, goes out of his way to make healthy, tasty dishes without relying on a bunch of fillers or additives. And you can tell.
