Pho is something I always eat at least once a month, and we usually crave it when we feel like eating out. It's pretty solid that we revisited twice recently. Any spot I can see myself rinsing and repeating often has to be an auto 5 stars. I know there are like four locations across the GTA, but this was my first time recently trying it. They serve the classic pho options and also some additional dishes you don't see at every pho restaurant. I had the bun rieu (crab noodle) and the Banh xeo (Viet crepe), both of which were executed well. Keep in mind the Banh xeo doesn't have much protein, so we got some grilled short rib on the side on top of our mains, which was great to round out the meal. Service is prompt and place is clean, not fancy, but also not rundown like some OG spots.

I've been so happy with this location. Their pho is one of the best broths that I've had accessible to me for the last few years. It's filling, tasty and has such a good depth that I wouldn't touch anything in the recipe (other than some hot sauce and lime to round it out) Staff are friendly and willing to help out and I haven't had any problems when visiting. Definitely a solid staple for me?

Went here for my dad's birthday. I don't live in this area so our usual pho Viet restaurant was closed on Tuesday, which was a good thing because we discovered this place having such high reviews on other reviews sites. Venue: Enough seats here and well lit. We went during lunch. Got seated right away, turnover is fast. Food: Decent pricing, the spring rolls were the perfect crisp, it was light and the filling was delicious - it had meat in it for sure unlike other places. The grilled chicken they used for vermicelli and rice dish was flavourful and did not disappoint. It was well cooked and memorable. The pho I didn't try but my dad said he really liked it as well. Service: The young host and the man that served us who was also the one who cashed us out were so attentive and provided phenomenal service. You can really feel that you're taken care of. They apologized because I asked for no beansprouts in my vermicelli and they put it. I let them know it was okay because they're so nice already from the get go - they still offered % off just for this. I wasn't expecting anything because it's not typical for Asian restaurants. I will be coming here again when my parents want viet. Next go to place in the area!

I was never a big fan of pho but decided to try this newly opened Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood after seeing good review about this place. We came in for dinner. The layout looked exactly the same as the previous restaurant at this location. The restaurant was very kid friendly. Not long after our order, the server prepared kid's utensil and a free bowl of plain pho just for the kid. They were being very considerate that the pho soup might have rare meat. We ordered shrimp and pork spring roll, mango salad with shrimp, brisket noodle soup, crispy seafood pancake and bun rieu (tomato, tofu, crab paste and pork noodle soup). Of all the dishes, my favorite was the brisket noodle soup. The portion of the meat was decent and the cut was really good unlike many other pho places who provided super dry beef pieces. The soup was tasty too. The shrimp and pork spring roll was also good, very crispy. The seafood pancake was different from my expectation. I was expecting Korean style thick pancake, but it turned out to be super thin and crispy. Now I learned! The pancake itself didn't have much flavour so I suggest dipping the sauce they provided. My little one really liked this dish. Nothing special about the mango salad. The bun rieu came in with decent portion of meatballs and pork ribs inside. The soup base had a strong crab flavour. I didn't like the meatballs though coz it didn't taste fresh. Overall, this place offered really good beef pho with good value for money. Expect $20-$30 per person for dinner.

Toronto's most highly reviewed pho restaurant has a new location! Pho Metro has now opened in Thornhill. I won't gatekeep this as one of my fav pho spots. They have among the best review ratings across their GTA locations due to their sensational broths, tasty flavours and affordable huge portion sizes. My favorites include their huge Banh Xeo crisp pancake, Bun Rieu crab paste broth, Curry Brisket Pho, and Bun Bo Hue. I think their whole menu is outstanding. For this visit we enjoyed: B1. House Special Dry Vermicelli w/ marinated grilled meats, shrimp & crisp spring roll P3. Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, another go-to pick Another reason that I enjoy Pho Metro is their incredibly friendly service. They always provide child-friendly utensils & high chairs too.

With the high standard of pho in the GTA area does this new branch Pho Metro hold its own? Upon entering you smell the aroma of the beef broth. The renovation is quite fancy for a pho restaurant. The portion is good. The price is standard. The broth is good. Homemade chili is tasty (not spicy though). The same can be said for 90% of Vietnamese restaurant. Although it does everything right, I can't picture myself coming back in. It's just me, but I expect a Vietnamese restaurant to have the basic decors (feels more down to earth) of a Vietnamese restaurant. Also, the curry brisket pho was more watery than their Lawrence Ave branch.

I have been here a few times. The portions are consistently large, the food is fresh and flavourful. Their durian milkshake is also a favourite. The service is quick and the staff are all really friendly. The restaurant is fairly new and kept clean. I recommended this place to my family and they all agree it's a great spot for Vietnamese food.

I absolutely love this place! I've been here several times, and it never disappoints. My go-to is the bun rieu--it's always packed with ingredients, and the broth is incredibly flavorful. Bonus tip: Leave a Google review and get a free drink of your choice!

I was dining solo today, so I only ordered one dish: the Khao Soi Soft‑Shell Crab, which was marked as a recommended item on the menu. The curry noodle soup itself was delicious, with that classic Thai‑style sweet curry flavour. But the protein‑to‑noodle ratio was disappointing. It was a serious noodle overload, noodles in the soup plus a pile of crispy fried egg noodles on top. Carb coma incoming. The toppings were minimal: a few bean sprouts and a small fried soft‑shell crab. The crab was tasty, but overall the dish didn't feel like good value for the price. It's something I'm glad I tried once, but I'd move on to another dish next time.

He had the fried chicken wings & said they were delicious. When I arrived I ordered the beef pad thai. It came relatively quickly & was really delicious. I would definitely come back & try some other dishes. Service I was surprised that my husband & I were the only people in the restaurant. Hubby said that they had been doing mostly take out orders. In any case, service was attentive & polite. There was a young man who took my order and another lady who was preparing things around the restaurant. It was relaxed and a nice atmosphere. Ambiance It's very colourful inside the restaurant. The walls are painted with cute designs. I liked it. The washrooms are down the hall on the main level. I didn't like how cluttered that hallway is though. I hope they clear away some of the restaurant supplies from that hallway to the bathroom. The women's washroom was clean. However one of the cabinets in the washroom was full of dust on the top. It's kind of strange because the toilet & sink itself were very clean. Overall I think if they did a few improvements I would rate the ambiance of the restaurant better than 3.5. The food & service were otherwise really good here. Next time I'm in the area I will come back & try a different dish.

Service is a hit or miss, while all the staff are polite and friendly, sometimes it's hard to get their attention, especially when things start to pick up. Though it didnt come with the traditional large wide noodles. The khao soi was good as well, though again, had mixed canto fried noodles as the topping. Overall a good place to grab a quick bite.

Service was very quick and we were seated right away on a weekday night - wasn't busy at all - servers were friendly and made suggestions on what to order. The red chick curry was average at best, found the chicken on the dryer side of things. Pad Thai was also pretty average to me , nothing really stood out. Had Tom Yum soup as well, that was pretty tasty and had a nice spice kick to it (not pictured - as I forgot) Pricing and portions seemed fair - not sure if this was the best Thai in Toronto area, but I definitely have some better go to's in Vancouver. Overall, it's worth a try - however, I'd probably try something else next time, since I'm not local.

The family favourite ended up being the veg pakora. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, with a nice little kick from the green sauce. The canto chow mein had everything: crispy noodles, umami sauce, assorted seafood, chicken, beef, and veg. The dried chili chicken was super crispy with a nice kick and the meat inside was so juicy. The crispy ginger beef was surprisingly better than we expected. It was crispy and tasted sweet which was so nicely balanced. Chili shrimp in the gravy was good but it was more gravy and not enough shrimp that I wouldn't reccomend this one, lol. Hakka chicken chow mein was just okay for us. The dish size and portions are pretty small. Each dish portion is enough only for just one person, but thankfully we just ordered enough to share and satisfy us. They gave us the take out menu to order from that was just a generic list of all their dishes. There were no descriptions or pictures for what's in each dish, which made it difficult for my in-laws to know what to order. The pakora was our fave dish, but had my BIL not ordered that, none us would have thought to order it simply cause we didn't know what it was. When my MIL asked in hakka what she suggests we try, we didnt get much and still had to depend on other reviews online to know what to order, lol. If you're looking for cheap and delicious takeout (wouldn't dine in again tbh) this is a good spot for a quick eat!
