This restaurant is so fantastic on it is always the 1st stop when I go to Paris I know the food and service will be fantastic

Excellent food. Reasonably priced depending on what you eat. I had the rabbit in a mustard sauce that was very delightful. I've never had rabbit before and decided to be brave. My bravery was rewarded with a great taste and tender rabbit that was delicate and flavorful. My Canadian French helped me order for my group but they do speak English. My girlfriend had the duck which was perfect. The bread was great. Dessert was the double chocolate mousse. Very light and fluffy. Almost so light I barely hold onto the mouse.

If your near the Eiffel Tower in Paris and want a very French Homemade Extraordinary Family Dinner this IS the place! Unique cozy comfortable furnishings and the Food is Crazy good. We picked a lot of the traditional French cuisine but there was much to choose from. Please beware of poor attitude reviews ...this is the real deal and right by the Tower ... Plan to get a picture of a lifetime and make a reservation here! You won't regret it!

I made reservations here after reading really good reviews on TripAdvisor and seeing how it was a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. My husband and I ate here for dinner after our visit to Tour Eiffel. First of all, WOW! Amazing service!! The service really stood out to me. There was just one server working all the tables but he was phenomenal! So attentive, friendly, and offered to take a photo of us without even us asking! So nice! He said it's because it wasn't a busy night.. but it seemed pretty busy to me! He also brought out English menus written on big chalkboard signs and brought them right to our table. We ordered the following: - Hot Goat Cheese Salad w/ Roasted Pear - Not what I expected but it definitely tasted a lot better than it looked. The melted cheese was delicious with the bread, and the sweet roasted pear was the perfect touch. I enjoyed this appetizer! - Warm Poached Eggs w/ Red Wine Sauce - my husband got this and really enjoyed it. I wasn't as huge of a fan because I don't like my entire dish to have mushy textures. - Pan-Fried Fresh Scallops with Homemade Butter Sauce: DELICIOUS!! I absolutely loved this dish!! The scallops were cooked perfectly and went SO well with the light butter sauce! It tasted slightly like browned butter sauce.. which made it even better! - Steak Tartare w/ French Fries: my husband really enjoyed this! It tastes better than it looks. Keep in mind this is raw beef so it's not for everyone's palette... but my husband claims he loved the steak tartare here and that it was much better than the ones he had in the U.S. Overall delicious food, excellent service, and decent environment in a cozy, inviting setting. If you're looking for a good casual dinner in the 7th arrondisement with authentic French food that is English-friendly, look no further! :)

Our favorite memory of Paris... We had reservations here for our first evening in Paris. We were quickly seated in a cozy corner by the window and welcomed with two glasses of Rosé. The place is small, cozy and only has about 10-12 tables. This, for us, is perfection. The menu is presented on a chalkboard which is moved around as needed, and I presume changed daily with the exception of their staples. We had the pan fried scallops, duck with ginger & rosemary and the fish, paired with a nice bottle of white wine. For dessert, we started with the crème brulee. Everything was amazing. This was the best meal and service we had in Paris. Service was impeccable. Very friendly and warm staff who truly take pride in their dishes and service. Now for the memorable part: Somehow we engaged in a conversation with a local French gentleman sitting next to us, and two ladies visiting from California one table over. One thing let to another and we closed out the restaurant around 2am with the owners and the lovely people we had just met (our dinner began at 8!). The after dinner drinks kept coming, as well as the desserts! On a recommendation from the local gentleman (who seems to be a regular there), we had the Poached Pears in a wine reduction sauce with Cinnamon. I thought I had died and gone to foodie heaven!!! We also had a flourless chocolate cake and countless glasses of after dinner drinks. This wasn't just a restaurant to us - this was an EXPERIENCE which we will forever treasure. I hope our story gives you an insight as to the kind of people who run this place. They truly love what they do and they do it with passion. I was asked "how was everything?". My reply, "the perfect evening!". He then said, "No, just a regular night..." These people know how to enjoy life! We came back here on our last night in Paris and were welcomed with open arms.

Better than most. The menu was in a chalk board which made its way around the restaurant when new tables arrived. Pics posted of menu because there is not one to be found online Great, really amazing service. Tiny, cozy corner place. Good wine. Exceptional raw oysters. Wow. My scallops were overlooked and came with the "foot" still on them! Cream sauce they were bathing in was good. Husband had the lamb shank which he said was gamy. Such nice people that work there. I'd go back.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

We were seated at a table facing the smaller street with IKEA City. Not much people-watching happened given shops were already closed in the evening and thus less people shopping on the streets. We ordered the croque monsieur and croque madame. The difference between the two is that the croque madame comes with a fried sunny side up egg. This was heavy but so yummy! The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.
