I Hate Norwalk Superior Court I.

This restaurant and its owner are very disorganized. I wish I could write a review of the food but sadly, we never made it through the door as as they had made a reservation for 20 people in which 40 people showed up and they took our reservation away and gave it to the 40 people that showed up. so needless to say a reservation for six people got eaten up by the party that they had just brought in. They gave out all of the reservations for 530 to this random party that just showed up, we were never even able to get through the door the owner of the restaurant came out and tried to brutal attempted an apology which we did not take very well. If you wanna go get food, go to a restaurant that will actually let you in the door instead of a restaurant that'll take your reservation and give it away to 20 other people and never let you even try the food, absolutely ridiculous. This restaurant sucks. Wouldn't even go to try the food let alone go talk to the people ever again very rude. Very disrespectful. Do not go. (More so they offered to make us another reservation at a different restaurant down the street. WHY WOULD I TRUST YOU (A RESTAURANT OWNER) TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR ME AT A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT DOWN THE STREET WHEN YOU CANT EVEN GIVE ME THE TABLE I RESERVED AT YOUR RESTAURANTS?) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Worst of all they had an 11 New York Knicks jersey in the window, which everyone would assume is a Jalen Brunson jersey. but to add to the embarrassment that is this restaurant, they had a Frank Nilikinta jersey, the horrible draft pick the Knicks had, and not even a Jalen Brunson jersey. Too cheap to get it right[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . So angry I've attached a picture of the fake Jalen Brunson jersey they have hanging in the window to pretend like they're real New Yorkers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh and just to get the last check mark on the Yelp review I'm just going to type "ambiance" here to check it off. Again we never got to experience the ambience because the ZOO that was ensuing inside barred us entry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First off the food was exquisite the photos don't do it justice . The truffle was amazing so was the service and the ambiance was so intimate and cool . I've never been to an authentic French restaurant that felt like a true European experience . If you are curious , please go abeg . You really can't go wrong . The seating was comfortable and buzzing but calm I don't know how to explain it but it was an experience darling . My waiter was so nice as was the rest of the staff . This place is truly a gem . There's so much more I can say but I shall leave it to everyone else to make an opinion for themselves . Until next time

Definitely coming here for the food. And if the weather is nice, sit outside. There's a satisfaction in having a good brunch and watching cool fashinable west villagers at the same time. I won't sit inside, There's nothing special about the inside vibe. The decoration kinda weird, tennis racket, mickey mouse tshirt? Quite pricey, but hey its west village. I might come back when weather is nice.

Chill, perfect brunch spot. I came here with a friend on a Saturday noon and there were quite a lot of seats so didn't have to sharpen my elbows to get a spot thankfully. I ordered the classic Le Burger Baratin and it was cooked to perfection. Very juicy and tasty and perfected balanced with the fries and side salad. The service was also fast and good. The ambiance is nice and is decked in a French theme, along with a huge France flag near the back. Definitely can't go wrong with this place if you're craving a burger with a friend.

The environment here is what sold me on this place. Party of 9 came maybe an hour or so before closing and was greeted with open arms. A few of us had no idea of what to go after and our server gave us many recommendations based off our preference. The music was lively as well as the workers. These workers definitely have been together for some time but dancing between the door jams, at the bar, even outside for a smoke break was amazing. Lots of laughter and smiles for sure at this location. Maybe my experience was lively as these workers were close to being off but also showed they enjoy working together as a team. The food here is amazing for first timers in t French cuisine. So many choices and can't go wrong with them. The desserts were all amazing as well

This is a hidden gem that's not really all that hidden. We've stepped into this French bistro a few times now that we are in a close walking distance and have never had a complaint about the food or service. We went during a France World Cup March and still the service was top notch. The burgers are big and messy but delicious but the french onion soup bites are a MUST. The place gets to be a fun party scene at certain times of nights and during some sporting events. Highly recommend.

Bourguignon Benedict

Unassuming non pretentious French restaurant. Had a birthday brunch on Sunday there with a larger party and had a fantastic experience. Steak tartare was good. Truffle flatbread and French onion flatbread great. But the Bourguignon Benedict is what will bring me back. The side of potatoes was fantastic as well. Was one of the best brunch dishes I've had in quite some time. Service was amazing. The nicest and funnest French waitress truly made our experience. Anything we needed came out within minutes. Our glasses were kept filled and our stomachs full. We even put in a music request that had the entire place feeling like we were at a Donna Summer concert, right there in the West Village. Bring your date, bring your friends, bring your appetite.

This place is definitely worth checking out! Magret de Canard, Beef Bourguignon, Calamari, Escargot, Mille Feuilles aux Framboises.

Amazing little french bistro in NY. The mussles and fries are fantastic, so were the tartar sampler and wine list. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun and great ambiance with friendly service[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] back twice in one week!

Excellent, dependable neighborhood bistro. I used to live next door and miss this spot more than any other restaurant in the neighborhood.

What is the noise level?

I'd say medium noise level. You can hear your companions easily and don't have to raise your voice. Now, I was not there during a game so obviously that could change things dramatically.

They've kept this place in good condition. Lots of seating and menus everywhere. It once was an Art Deco bank, you can kind of get the feel of that just from looking around. If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... Mmm definitely next time. Maybe sometimes after work - sounds like a great wind down.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Overall: it's a great place to grab a shaved ice and relax . The atmosphere is chill and you can stay without feeling rushed.
