This is a cozy cafe that is conveniently located on our way to The Met. The staff is friendly and the place was kept clean despite being quite busy. I got a dulce de leche latte and a madeleine. Dulce De Leche Latte- Sweet and rich with a deep dulce de leche flavor. It hit the spot on a cold morning. Great coffee shop across the street from the midtown Hilton. When you see the locals going in, then it must be good. We had two vanilla lates and ordered the LeBooste bagel!! It was outstanding. Plenty for 2 to share, well depending on your appetite. We went x2 on our weekend in NYC. Service was polite, quick and helpful with suggestions. Cool little coffee shop in the middle of everything. Not only does this place have good coffee, good pastries, and good service, but they also have a cool selection of European items for sale. From Nestle cereals to fancy mustards and everything in between you are able to get a nice set of unique items here while also getting a good coffee. This isn't going to be the world's best coffee you've ever had or the best pastry, but for midtown, this is a much better choice than Starbucks. read more

Stopped by this coffee shop after visiting Hudson Yards and I'm so glad I did! Super convenient location and the barista was incredibly friendly. I ordered an iced Americano and it was perfect, bold and strong, with a smooth sweetness and no sharp acidity, just the way I like my coffee. Wanting a quick pick me up while walking through the chronic stimulation that is Midtown Manhattan, we stopped by Le Cafe on 57th Street. The cafe was bigger than we thought once inside and had nice decorations throughout, definitely on the cleaner side too. They offer a decent amount of food and drink options ranging from lattes and iced teas to bagels and acai bowls. The line moved quickly and we got a red tea latte which was described as similar to a London fog latte. Our latte was handed off without a lid and we had to put one on at the side bar, which is a small detail but we wanted to note that as well. We also noticed that they didn't have any cup sleeves so we had to use napkins around the cup to keep our hands from burning up. The latte itself was pretty underwhelming. Yes, it's a tea latte so the flavor is going to be lighter but this felt a bit like drinking milk that was vaguely around a cup of tea at some point. The flavor was not bad by any means, it's just the intensity of the flavor that was the problem. The texture of the latte and foam were good and the temperature at serving was not much of an issue. For the price point it beats whatever Starbucks is offering but we would say don't come into Le Cafe looking for anything revolutionary, just a standard coffee. read more

This is conveniently located in the food court area of Penn Station. We got the Dulce de leche latte with only 2 pumps instead of 3 and it was perfect. The barista made the latte hot, frothy and flavorful. Has limited seating but comfortable. Like the vibe of this coffee place. read more

Beautiful coffee shop, terrible customer service. I saw this place on yelp and was excited to eat some breakfast and get a latte. The barista working the counter ruined the whole experience and I didn't get food because I was so turned off. I was giving him my drink order and I didn't realize I told him twice I wanted almond milk and he rudely looks at me says "I HEARD YOU" like who says that?? I'm sorry it's loud in there and I'm lactose intolerant so I wanted to make sure you heard me correctly?! I changed my mind on getting food there. Le Cafe has great drinks but unfortunately had very terrible experience here recently. I by accidentally ordered a hot latte in the morning, I realized this when I picked it up and nicely asked for a cup of ice. The cup of ice was very small(which I understand, they are not obligated to give me a larger cup) but I nicely said "excuse me" again to the barista who responded in a very rude tone "WHAT NOW." As someone who has worked in food & bev as a hostess and waitress I understand how frustrating it can be to tend to people when you are slammed, as the cafe was on this particular morning, but the tone of voice and response was completely unnecessary to a customer who was very respectful. I asked if it was possible to have a slightly larger cup and began to explain that I ordered a hot drink accidentally. Before I could get halfway through my sentence the barista yelled "NO sorry." I was in such shock from the volume and tone of voice that I just silently walked away. Speaking so loudly to me in such a rude manner, whether it was intended or not, was embarrassing first thing in the morning. Normally there is great service here but sadly a complete misstep by this employee. Going out of your way to be rude and dismissive to any customer, especially one who is nothing but nice and respectful of you, is never okay. read more

Super cute coffee shop, I ordered the lavender latte but had a hard time choosing since they have lot of lattes that sound super good. I'll have to come back and try the others. I gave four stars because they keep the shop so warm. What about air conditioning? The employees were so friendly and helpful but I can't imagine it is comfortable for them to work in such hot conditions. Hopefully they fix that soon, especially during these warm summer days! read more

I ordered a pain au chocolat and lavender latte. The pain au chocolat was the best pastry I've had this year. It was perfectly flaky and had three different types of chocolate in it. It didn't taste bitter at all. 10/10! The lavender latte was just okay for me. If didn't have a wow factor and was very expensive. The service was quick and there isn't much seating area bc it's a small shop. It is a very cute and trendy cafe. read more

Id been here once before and enjoyed the coffee so i came again to kill a few hrs and do work. Each time everyone was v nice and friendly, this time i got a wonderful latte and surprisingly good croissant. The place fills up w ppl chatting and stuff but theres wifi and plugs - i took a high stool which wasnt the most comfortable for a few hrs but if u can snag a table itd be a good place to set up shop read more

The coffee is great, the ambience is so classy! The male barista is such a gentle soul and kindly explains any question. Here on a Friday night 10/7/25 - we were drinking coffee and there was a drunk gentlemen blasting music, drinking beer. The male barista came over to let him know that he can't drink alcohol here. I thought he was very respectful, so gentle and very polite! He never once raised his voice and kept asking the drunk guy if he was okay. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Absolutely adorable and quaint coffee/cafe near Columbus Circle. I'm surprised there is not more reviews! There is plenty of seating and the workers greet you good morning. Ordered the Nova toast which was delicious and perfect! The coffee I ordered was the dulce de Leche latte and it was so good. We were visiting this past weekend from Seattle for our kid's theatre auditions and she found this place and it hit all the notes for us. Attractive design, friendly baristas and very good coffee offerings and quality and not crazy prices compared to seattle, honestly. I don't know why we don't have pistachio milk in seattle? It added such a nice touch to my drink. Le Cafe was a great welcoming coffee haven for a family of picky Seattleites to happen onto. Highly recommend. read more

My first time here today. I got an iced latte decafe and it was ok. I also got hardboiled eggs and it was pretty not tasty at all. Very cold which I understand it had to be in the cold but wow it was hard. Staff was ok a bit hard to hear as the coffee machines were going and it was a tad crowded. The best coffee. In the hustle of nyc people rush to get whatever coffee is closest... and this is worth going out of your way. Delicious fresh beans, modern calming decor, plenty of space inside and the tastiest coffee. They have a big selection of fresh French pastries with a twist and a little store section with shortbread biscuits etc. the coffee is beyond phenomenal though. Whether you are looking for a latte, a flat white or a drip this is definitely the best coffee in the city. I found it on my last work trip and look forward to coming here when I'm back in town. Excellent coffee and espresso drinks, not to mention that the food is also very good. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon, and it was spectacular! For my espresso drink. I asked for a cappuccino with pistachio milk. there are not many places that offer pistachio milk... It was delicious. My only problem with this place is the pricing. I get it's close to Central Park, but $25 for a coffee and avocado toast is steep. However, that's not to say that I didn't enjoy both. The iced mocha had a good ratio of ingredients. The L'Avocado Toast used a thick and soft piece of bread, with a few different seasoning that paired well with the avocado. The avocado did seem a little oily, and I think it would taste better if they didn't add extra oil to it. read more

I was at this quaint tea shop east of Koreatown earlier in the evening before going to a meal at the excellent new Thai place, Wanglang. The staff was very friendly, and they specialize in matcha, along with having hojicha, genmaicha, black tea, and sencha. Along with more traditional drinks, they also have fruit options as well as black sugar jelly (I presume kuromitsu) and a Japanese citrus that's not seen much here, hyuganatsu. Along with the citrus, this place is rather unique as they had three different matcha options in terms of variety. As I tend to prefer teas pure and without add-ons, I ordered the Matcha Americano, which is simply matcha and water. I went with the 12-oz version for $6 + tax and ordered the Hajime, though I would likely get the Fuku No Midori next time based on descriptions online. The matcha was solid and had a mild sweetness and a light earthiness. However, it lacked some of the mouth coating found in very high-quality drinks from Sorate or Setsugekka, while being similar in price. Still, that is comparing to some of the best, and this was still very tasty and a lot better than 90% of the places in the city, being more comparable to Kettl. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

I needed a sweet pick-me-up after missing a train home. While the ice cream flavors looked interesting, I opted for a blue coconut iced matcha latte instead. Aside from the striking visuals, the drink tasted great. There was sweetness from the matcha and the coconut but not super overtly sugary. I also got a box of four donuts. They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y. I look forward to trying other donuts and sweets from Bear Donut in the future!

One good thing is that, at least on the upper level, they do not rush you out whatsoever. You can literally stay for as long as you want.
