We had such high hopes for this place as we LOVE traveling in Europe for many reasons but mostly the coffee...and we're from Seattle so we take our coffee far too seriously. :) We walked quite distance to get here and were super stoked but our cappuccinos tasted like warmed milk. This is hands down top 5 coffee bars in manhattan. We make sure we stop here every trip to the city. The staff and owner are so warm and welcoming, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the setup where you walk in and it's a bar almost with no seating is honestly perfect so close to Central Park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The espressos and lattes are great along with their sandwich. My favorite quick coffee spot near Central Park! They are always quick and attentive. I always get an oat milk latte and the coffee is always perfectly roasted. It is rather small inside but there are a couple tables and chairs outside to sit at but I always order to go and then go to the park to enjoy it. My only complaint is the price: $7 (not including tip) for an oat milk latte is on the more expensive end. read more

I think they labelled their prices wrong because I got a biscotti ($1.5) and machiatto ($3.5) and it somehow came up for ($7+). Biscotti was ok, could've been more sweet and buttery especially since the machiatto was so strong. This was also the smallest, most bitter cup of coffee I have ever gotten in my life and I am unsure of how to feel about it--apparently it's authentic Italian coffee, but I think I'll just stick with my watered down iced Americano. Love this little pocket of authentic Italian cafe right in the heart of midtown. You're not too far form the park so I highly recommend grabbing an espresso drink and a sandwich + cornetto and heading to Central Park for a little snacktime. CAPPUCCINO - one of the better cappuccinos I've had in the city, and now makes my top 15 espressos in NYC but admittedly that may be due to the cute vibe. If you order to stay you'll get the cute cup and saucer that makes you really feel like you're in Italy. There's outdoor tables so when the weather's nice, you can enjoy your coffee on the street and do some people watching. PISTACHIO CORNETTO - cornettos are the Italian analog to French croissants; here they are airy, soft (not flaky/crispy/crunchy like croissants are) and have a softer chew which I honestly prefer! The pistacho paste at the bottom is lightly sweet, and jammy. TURKEY SANDWICH - these little sandwiches are the perfect portion and they grill them for you before serving it to you. I will say that the interior was still quite cold while the outside was warm, but I still enjoyed it. Simple, delectable, and no frills. Transport yourself to Italy and return to Central park for a moment of rest for yourself. read more

Ordered: Marocchino (~$5) Aya's take: Nothing better than a warm coffee on a rainy day! I stopped by Zibetto since I was in the area, saw many positive reviews, and liked their cute cups. I went with the Marocchino to try something different. It's an Italian beverage made by layering cocoa powder, espresso, and milk foam. When I was handed my cup (which was pretty small), I was surprised at how light it was. It wasn't filled all the way. It's slightly resembles a mocha but there isn't nearly enough chocolate flavoring to call it that. It was a decent try but I wouldn't return here if I'm being honest. read more

The coffee shops in NYC are fortunately uncountable and hence, there is almost everywhere a place to get a great coffee. All or many of them provide wonderful variations of coffee. And while they may not beat each other, their real win is not what they are but what they are not. I.e. it is great to have so many alternatives to Starbucks, and CBTL, and Peet's etc. The Zibetto had a nice Italian touch, the coffee was delicious as were a torta della nonna, a cannoli, and a tiramisu. I like this place! It makes me feel like at home. It's a cute place, very clean. It's one of the few places where they do cappuccino in a cup and I can drink it at the counter. Had a great cup of coffee on Fri. The next morning went in and ordered a cafe Latte and an Americano! Paid $11.50. The person sneezed in her arm. Then she took a towel and wiped her arm and hands. Then she used the same towel to wipe out the coffee scooper, and proceeded to make the coffee like nothing had happened. I walked out. Forget the money! Nobody wants those giant germs! read more

I had a pistachio cornetto, and my husband had a chocolate one. I order the marocchino and my husband had a cappuccino. This is a coffee shop, but there's no ordinary drip coffee served here. The beans are a custom blend, specially roasted in Bologna. That La Cimbali machine is perfectly calibrated, with temperatures set out to the decimal place. The friendly staff dresses with the effortless chic of Italy, and that same attention to detail applies to the coffee. Baristas demonstrate the skill, expertise, and many hours of training it takes to pour a perfect cup. There isn't really space for a line to form inside, so you may need to wait outside to order (there's also a bit of a lack of room to wait for your drink once it's ordered). My strawberry matcha came out to $9.25 total, which is pretty pricey, so I expected a lot. In total, it took me around 10-ish minutes to get my drink with about 4 people in front of me. At first it took a while for our orders to get taken since the two employees were focused on getting drinks out ASAP, one person was preparing the syrups and milk, and the other was making the matcha. The matcha itself had a nice green color. I've had many strawberry matchas prior to this, and based on my experience, this place was alright. The strawberry syrup was nice and not too sweet, but I wish there was a bit more flavoring or more of it, as after two sips I couldn't taste the strawberry at all. Overall, it's a nice shop with cute trinkets around and their own products they sell, like matchas and tea sets. However, for $9, it was a lot for what the drink offered in my opinion.

She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! Ok this espresso bar has been here for almost 6 years and I've been coming here for at least 2, the coffee is good depends who's making the coffee. I notice a big change in the past 6 months, until the last time I was here the new barista has kind of attitude that is unprofessional, I don't like to use the word rude but a few times I felt like this. Last time I was here I had a terrible experience and I also felt embarrassing for my friends that I brought with me that day. I said to my self to never put my feet in this place, but yesterday I decide to give them a second chance, and nothing seams has been change. I order my usual latte and after a long waiting I asked the barista where my latte was, and he goes ( what latte!) did you order one? than instead to apologize he got mad and ask me again if I want it one? Of course I said, so finally I got my latte but in the way he made it I couldn't even drink it, the milk was burning I could even touch the glasses. For Midtowners, Zibetto has to be one of the best places for coffee in New York. It's the type of coffee you would expect only in Europe. Inconspicuous on 6th Ave, there's no seats but to just stand at the gleaming white marble bar and sip a Zibetto latte, espresso or cappuccino, instantly transports you to Italy. Service with a smile (and a glass of water) and expert baristas who look for perfection in every cup. Have a little biscotti (cookie) or cornetti (pastries with fruit filling or chocolate) with your coffee or one of the fantastic toasted homemade panino sandwiches if you're there for lunch. And with Anastasios your host, welcoming you warmly and making you feel at home, you'll want to make Zibetto your regular coffee stop. Even better is that now there's also a Zibetto in the Financial District at 102 Fulton (near Williams). Get out and enjoy what real coffee tastes like. read more

I checked out that spot at this week first time. This is a nice tiny coffee shop. I got super creamy cappuccino, very well done. They have no tables so you have to strictly stand up. The iced flat white was good but the espresso tasted a bit burnt for my liking. The cardamom bun was yummy though and I loved how flavorful it was. The bun itself could have been a bit lighter and fluffier which is my preference but overall it's a nice cafe and very aesthetic for pictures.

There were tons of regulars coming in, many with dogs, some sitting for a bit and some heading right back out, but almost everyone knew everyone else. It was nice to see such familiarity and warmth play out with such an enormous city as its backdrop. Nothing super special about the drinks to us, but the atmosphere was definitely a 5.

Instead of fluffy scrambled eggs inside of a pillowy dumpling as described on the online menu, I got a pastry with chopped hard boiled eggs and dill. It was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. I ate a good amount of it because I was starving, but utterly disappointed. I also got a cold brew which was fine. I posted a pic of menu description vs what I got.
