My delicious almond milk vanilla latte!!! Thank you for serving pasadena!!
    Nicole T.

I was killing time before my class and decided to visit La Cafe Creme. I was a little confused about the location but once I was inside the building I found the cafe! It's the cutest cafe I've ever been to. Not because of spectacular interior design or trendy drinks, but because of how homey it felt as soon as I walked through the door. There was an older man working there, who I'm assuming is the owner after reading the previous yelp reviews. He's very sweet. I ordered a vanilla almond milk latte and he offered to put more vanilla if I needed some. The coffee itself is delicious. It was the perfect flavor and it wasn't too sweet- just how I like my lattes. I wish more people knew about La Cafe Creme, this place is severely underrated and I can't wait to try more of their coffee drinks and delicious pastries they have on display.

Lovely quaint cafe next to Verizon. My dad and I walked in after upgrading my phone. I ordered a cappuccino. The sandwiches and pastries are home made and I look forward to returning to try them.

    Quiche very good

Hidden Gem.... very nice lobby... food is good... price reasonable... nice owner... walked by thos place for uears on Lake Ave and never knew it was here. Good find!

Broccoli and cheese quiche, chickpea salad, peach tart

I can't believe I hadn't found this place until I randomly spotted it on Google Maps. I've walked by the Colonnade SO MANY TIMES and never had any idea there was this little cute and homey mom and pop cafe! Hunted it down to see if the cafe was still there, and there it was! The gentleman was so kind and went above and beyond when I asked questions. He said he makes everything in his kitchen next to the register except for the spinach pastries (folded in three or four ways). We got spinach quiche, almond croissant, peach tart, and chickpea salad. Total was $22.50. There were sweets to savories including quick lunch options - sandwiches and salads. The selection might be rather small, but that way you know he keeps things fresh and he's specialty is focused! I personally think it's so much better than seeing all kinds of things that's been sitting for days or just not taste good! I ate the almond croissant on my way home so no pic, but WOW!!!!!!!! Seriously! I love croissants and care greatly about their quality. It was so crispy on the outside, and buttery and flaky on the inside. I There was good amount of almond filling and it was mildly sweet, pronouncing natural almond flavor more than anything else. I loved it!! I mauled it before I got home. Don't be fooled by the size of the broccoli quiche! It's so filling! I loved how the crust was still so dry (not soggy) even after leaving it in the fridge for all day. The texture was so good and the filling had good balance of cheese and egg. Not too cheesy or too eggy. The texture was dense and creamy and the roasted broccoli provided good substance, flavor, and texture to the overall richness. The chickpea salad tasted homemade! And the fresh parsley adds freshness to it. I would've personally liked it a little more tangy, but generally speaking it was not too salty or anything -- tasted healthy, fresh and homemade. Haven't tried the peach tart yet since the quiche really filled me up, but we're definitely going back. Overall impression is that the gentleman has good palate and skills to pull off delicious homemade style (not too fancy), wholeheartedly made sweets and savories and I felt like he really cares about what he provides to his customers. Made my heart warm and belly happy. Hope they'll be more visible so other people can really enjoy their delicious goodies they have to offer!! Side note: business hours are Tue to Sat from 9am to 5pm

Great place for a cup of coffee and a treat to eat. Located inside the Colonnade on South Lake Avenue. Coffee to your liking, and tables and chairs just outside in the courtyard. Friendly service and a good selection of bites to eat with your coffee. Very relaxing. Plenty of parking in the South Lake Avenue parking lot on Shoppers Lane. Entrance to the colonnade from Lake Avenue, as well as Shoppers Lane.

    Love the view!

This place is so cute. I tried the spiced chai tea latte and it was very tasty. They also have good size half sandwiches that are real good especially the brie with basil for under 4 bucks. I loved their assortment of chocolate and pastries. It was so hard narrowing it down. My sister and I really enjoyed our lunch here. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem.

It says on open Yelp and there's a sign on the door saying they're supposed to be open now, but no one is here. Not even a BRB sign. Ugh

We arrived just after they opened at 7am and were quite literally the first customers of the day. Thanks for opening your doors to us! The music selection is top notch, and I loved browsing the cute merch and randomly awesome stationery items. Service was super friendly. My husband had a great conversation with one of the guys behind the counter about the shop's minimalist decor, and we learned Two Kids has been thriving for 10 years. I hadn't been in since right around the pandemic, so it was heartwarming to see they made it through and are still flourishing. The espresso was absolutely luscious, and as a bonus, we got the prettiest latte art with hearts in our drinks, big love for that! Really wish I had more time to hang out on the comfy couches in the middle of the shop and soak in some vinyl tunes. Can't wait to come back and spend a morning here the right way, highly recommended!

The one issue I have with them is they show a loyalty program in terms of entering your phone number -- if you order online as well as the register. But I've never gotten any points. I once asked the owner about it and he claimed that they do in fact give out items, and said he would check on it that night when I told him the situation. But he never actually asked my name and info, and I've still never received any points since, despite having ordered here about twice a week for the past several weeks. Found seating outside but moved some plates ourselves from one table to another to find shade for us the kiddo. Grabbed a high chair and got seating set up. A few folks were setting up to play music out on the patio. We ordered inside as expected, thankfully the line wasn't too bad at that time so it went smoothly, though the prices are still higher than the average mom/pop sandwich place (but we anticipated this). We waited a bit for food while the patio band played. Ambience was pretty nice. Our friend's sandwich came out first and about 5 minutes later our food came. However, the Arnold Palmer we ordered didn't arrive with the food so we asked if they'd come back to bring it, and we were told they'd be right back. We waited probably another 5 minutes but drink still didn't come so I went inside to ask about it and saw the drink sitting on the back counter. So I asked staff if I could pick up the drink and they handed it over. Our friend's sandwich (the Jester) looked pretty filling while wife and I ordered/shared the Crown Jewel with cheese and mayo on the side. The Crown Jewel was pretty meh overall. Wasn't as stacked as the Jester and the bread fell apart as I ate it, despite the mayo on the side. At the end of eating someone came by to grab our order numbers and ask how things went. I commented on the wait for the drink and was told they couldn't find us, which sounded strange because they found us when bringing the sandwich and we still had our order number. But she said we could get a free refill. Since I wanted to take advantage of the refill I went inside to inquire but the order counter had gotten extremely busy. So I asked one of the bus/wait staff outside if they could grab my refill. He directed me inside and he commented how busy they were but I said I didn't want to wait in the huge line simply for a refill, so he offered to meet me inside to get the refill. Eventually I did receive the refill and we left. Overall, for the price of the food I felt the service was very average bordering on subpar, and the food was meh for the price. I don't blame the staff as they all seemed to be working very hard, but perhaps they were understaffed which would be more of a management issue. We basically bussed a couple tables on our own and waited what eventually amounted to 20-25 minutes for an ice tea/lemonade. I pre-tipped when I bought the food, which I kind of regretted but also felt bad that the employees were understaffed so I likely would have left a tip anyways. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. Wish the food and service were better
