We passed by Le Cafe Du Val during a drive in Henderson and thought a lovely lunch here would be a nice experience. We learned they also have a sister restaurant - Le Cafe du Sud in Southern Highlands. This is a counter service establishment - you get in line to order and pay and get our number and find a seat. There is a lot of menu items and ready made pastries so your eyes will have to move quickly to decide on your final order. There are plenty of seats indoors and out, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. And water is self service as well. * Raclette Galette $15.99 - This gluten-free buckwheat crepe is served with raclette cheese, sunny side up egg, potatoes, bacon and ham. I love a buckwheat crepe and there's actually a place in town that I just love their version. At Le Cafe Du Val, they do prefer to cook theirs a little more on the softer side which I didn't realize. After a bite or two, I went and asked if this was typically how their galette is cooked. It was confirmed that yes, they do prefer it softer. They offered to remake mine which I initially declined but they insisted as they wanted me to be happy with it. So I agreed. I still found their version decent, but not exceptional. * Short Ribs Shakshouka $17.99 - This was on their Specials menu and was served with 7 pieces of baguette slices. It was good. * Melba Crepe $13.99 - It's a sweet crepe that's topped with poached peach, wild berry sauce, and whipped cream. It's simple and exactly as described. * Mini Lobster Rolls $18.99 - The lobster meat is mixed with celery, chives, and mayo and served on a butter toasted brioche buns. These are indeed mini rolls, so you may be hungry after eating them. Service - there really isn't too much to talk about as you order at the register and have minimal contact with the staff beyond them bringing the order to your table. I had to bring my plate to the staff member when I had the issue. I do appreciate their desire to fix my order though. Overall, Le Cafe du Val was just an okay experience for us. The food didn't stand out for us in the way that we hoped.
Came on a Tuesday morning and they were relatively busy. Great spot for people to get coffee and catch up, or get some work done as well. The interior design is open seating, has plenty of natural light, and has a bright design. Very welcoming and a nice spot to spend a few hours! Although the food is not bad, my only gripe is that the spot is pretty expensive for small portions. Almond Croissant (7/10, $7) - It has a fantastic almond crunch paste on the inside that was not too sweet, but very filling. - The croissant was nicely toasted. Prosciutto Sandwich (6/10, $16) - The sandwich comes with a small side salad that was pretty bland. Just some vegetables and some dressing that tasted a little sour. - The bread was delicious, the prosciutto is tasty, and their cheese blends everything together well. - The reason for the 6/10 and overall 3-star review is because of portion sizes and price. At $16, I would expect a side of potatoes. Friends got their eggs Benedict, and at a similar price point, it came only with the Benedict and no sides. Overall, a nice, cute spot with plenty of seating and parking and good coffee. Expect for things to be expensive and portion sizes to be small, hence the lower star review.
Visited Le Cafe Du Val for the first time! It's a French-inspired cafe with both savory and sweet options to choose from. The decor inside is charming, and the set-up is pretty casual - you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. We came on a weekday morning and the service was quick. Good amount of indoor seating, and plenty of parking in the square. We were interested in the short rib shakshouka, but unfortunately they were out when we visited! Decided to go for a prosciutto sandwich instead, along with a latte and almond croissant. Prosciutto Sandwich ($15.99, 4.5/5) - Big fan of the bread they use here! - Flavors were light and fresh - Good portion size for the price Latte ($5.99, 5/5) - Solid latte, paired well with the almond croissant. Almond croissant ($6.25, 4.5/5) - Nice crunch on the outside, topped with almond slices - Almond filling with just the right consistency. A little on the sweeter side, but worked out well with our coffee to balance it out. Overall, had a great time at Cafe Du Val and would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu!
We have heard so much about this Henderson gem that we wanted to give it a try on Easter. The place is cute with plenty of inside and outside seating and even a wine bar. The staff were plentiful and very customer oriented. The coffee was amazing and the place smelled incredible. You are forced to walk by all the sweet and savory delights to get to the order point. I think I walked so slow gazing the person behind me asked to jump the line. We ordered and paid at the register and they delivered the order as it was ready. We both thoroughly enjoyed both of our meals and I got to enjoy some of Danielle's too! . Definitely going to put this on the "show this place off to visitors" list!
Mother's Day brunch at Le Cafe du Val was absolutely worth the wait. We arrived to a line out the door with at least 25 people waiting and a completely full dining room, which honestly told us everything we needed to know before we even sat down. We ordered two cappuccinos, a mocha, two Berries crepes, and the Short Rib Sandwich. The cappuccinos were perfectly balanced with rich espresso and silky foam, while the mocha was smooth, chocolatey, and not overly sweet. The Berries crepes were incredible -- topped with fresh berries, wild berry sauce, and whipped cream, light yet indulgent at the same time. The Short Rib Sandwich completely stole the show: tender braised short rib with Gruyère cheese, Dijon mayo, and arugula tossed in citrus sauce on warm ciabatta. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Even with the Mother's Day rush, the atmosphere still felt warm and charming, like a little French café tucked away in Henderson. You could tell the staff was hustling nonstop, but the food and experience never suffered. This place lives up to the hype and then some. We'll definitely be back.
The food 9 out of 10. The customer service 10/10. The room was inviting and clean the jazz playing was in the background amazing. The coffee omg the best so far I've had. So good. OK, my Smoked Salmon benedict was amazing on the baguette toast was epic. I would not want it ever again on an English muffin, never. The cheesecake was fantastic, as was the apple turnover, flaky and just so freaking delicious. Let's talk about the lobster sliders.... GUUURRRLLLL. We will be bringing folks and will be there as many Sunday's as i can.
It's been a minute since I've had a chance to visit the neighborhood bakery, it's was not bad in the past. I was in the area and decided to picked up a cheese danish that looked appetizing. After getting home, I realize that the gentlemen /manager/owner had wrapped the top of the glaze with the paper, which stuck to it and then put it upside down, inverted in the bag which degraded the product and made for a clumsy process to remove the paper. Can't imagine why someone in a retail setting would do that. It seems careless and discourteous. I'd rather not have to remember to ask the team member to place the product in the package correctly. It seems like that should be a standard move. However, I would like to mention the helpful team member that was putting away the patio furniture. She was knowledgeable about the working hours and the correct entrance, I appreciated the friendly assistance. Unlike the gentleman who conducted the transaction, he went through the motions and answered my questions about the menu, but it was done in a less-than friendly demeanor that left me with the impression he could care less if I made a purchase or not... In the end, I did not feel valued, respected or appreciated as returning customer and I will not recommend this establishment. ENDS
Went to Le Cafe Du Val for a random weekday brunch with my parents. I've checked in here on Yelp before but I somehow missed out on writing a review for them. This was our last opportunity to sit outside before it starts cooling down later this week and into next week. The parking lot was packed to the brim, but I found a space a little further down the complex and walked over. My parents had arrived before me, found a nice table outside on the patio (lucky for us because it was so busy) and waited to take their order before I arrived. My dad and I walked inside to place our order. Obviously, this is a cafe, so I had to have a cup of coffee. I ordered a cappuccino with a lavender flavor inside...for some reason I think lavender goes quite well with coffee. I almost went with the vanilla, but when I saw lavender on the flavor menu, I went with that instead. Both my parents got a latte...all three of them had that sweet, foamy top on it, with the lattes featuring that awesome foam art. For food, I ordered a tuna melt and my dad ordered a quiche, both came with salad greens on the side. My mom does not eat a whole lot of calories during most hours of the day, so she ordered a crepe with pretty much nothing on it. When she got it, it was unrolled and it looked exactly like a slice of pizza with no sauce and toppings on it, which I thought was funny. My dad's quiche had spinach inside and my tuna melt came with cheese and other various veggies. Everything here was amazing, including the coffee. Highly recommend this place! It's nice to have a French cafe in the neighborhood with great food and great coffee.
2nd chances We meet again. My first experience a few years ago didn't bring me back. Hopefully the do over is better. Smoky, contemporary elegant with chandeliers. No greeting for me nor the 5 people entering after. Once finally acknowledged by 1/3 people the process was expeditious. Later in the day, 12, I was sent to find cheery yogurt danishes....all gone. A very popular item, but yummy looking alternatives. Beignets(fruit, Nutella filled) and cheesecake should suffice. The cheese cake for me wasn't praiseworthy but the beignets were good.

Needed a decent coffee and found a great one with some extras at Le Cafe Du Val. While there's all sorts of coffee's to choose from I went with a simple espresso neat and yummy. On the way here. I expected a coffee shop, but it was more a restaurant than I expected. We placed our order at the counter, and there on display were all sorts of baked items croissants, danishes, and others. Even more, there are menus on the wall offering more items like crepes, sandwiches, bowls, and other breakfast items like wine and beer. They have avocado toast! Wasn't that hungry to start but it sounded so good so I ordered it and did not regret it. Not only was it delicious with its yummy poached egg running all that goo over avocado slices, it came out beautifully plated. Whoever's running the kitchen back there knows exactly what they're doing. The only one gripe I have with this place is the size and its popularity. It was a Tuesday morning and almost all the seating inside and outside was taken. The only seats available were a countertop, and they were so close to the wall, its like I could rest my forehead on it. read more

What a great brunch. We had 2 lattes, bread pudding and a crab Benedict = $40. Not the cheapest but it's worth a nice treat. We got there around 10am on a Saturday and got a table inside because someone was leaving. Not too many tables, actually wished this place was a bit bigger. There's tables outside but today was cold so needed to sit inside. It's was pretty crowded. Lattes were terrific. Bread pudding warmed up, one of the best we've had. Crab Benedict, so good. I love coming here with girlfriends, especially for brunch. It's so chic and of course everything is very french which means delicious pastries. The croc madame is my favorite thing to order for brunch because it's tasty and leaves you feeling full for hours. It was nice to see they expanded since the last time I visited because it used to be very tiny. I definitely recommend it for a coffee date! read more

Pros: Delicious food, friendly staff, cool spot, large menu Cons: The seating area needed a little attention Details: We were looking for some fresh croissants and my wife found this place. We ordered them to go and also got some sandwiches for brunch. It seemed to be a popular place. They have a lot of stuff ready to go. The food was excellent, and the service was pretty fast despite how busy it was. My wife loved her coffee (I forgot exactly what she had). We will definitely be back. read more
The basil avocado toast was DELICIOUS! I loved how they added basil sauce to the traditional avocado toast and it worked beautifully. The poached egg on top and the seasoning all worked well togheter. A very flavorful and satisfying breakfast dish. My second favorite item from this cute modern cafe was the pain au chocalat, which is made from the same dough as croissants. It was PERFECT; crunchy and flaky on the outside and soft and chocalately inside. It looked unassuming but the flavor and texture were addictive. No wonder the store manager said this was his favorite pastry. I ordered 2 other pastries (apple pie puff pastry and cinnamon raisin pastry) but the 2 items mentioned above were my favorites. This cafe is located inside a shopping plaza. It is clean and modern. I was very happy to have found this place on a recent trip to Las Vegas/Henderson. read more
One of my favorite coffee places in Henderson! The lattes are perfect every time and they always make a little design on top for hot lattes. For the cold lattes, they added pistachio crumbles one time and lavender on my friends. They have a huge variety of pastries and cookies. They also serve breakfast and lunch and have hot food. Everyone that works there is so nice and friendly. There's seating inside and out but not a ton. My favorite thing is that they have so much to choose from. This last time I got a croissant and a cinnamon roll. They're both so huge and so fresh. The parking lot is not huge but there's usually parking in the mornings. It can get busy inside, but they get stuff out to you pretty quick. read more

What a cute French spot for brunch, coffee, pastries both sweet and savory. Hours are 7a-3p seven days a week. We came here on a weekday around noon ish and there were a few seatings indoor but plenty outdoors. Upon entering, we were greeted with a display of delicious pastries. They also have paninis and breakfast sandwiches made fresh to order. We ordered the following: -quiche du jour (you can choose between ham & cheese, spinach, and another option). This was pretty good although the temperature wasn't hot as I'd like. I think this was sitting out for awhile before being brought to our table. -breakfast egg croissant- delicious! Now this was fresh and pippin hot. Croissant was warn and buttery. Add an avocado in there...makes a great finishing touch. Both our items came with a small side salad. Do Not order food out of Le Cafe Du Val on Horizon in Henderson. You will not receive the same quality of food as you do eating in. I should not have given them another chance. In the past two years I have eaten in 4 times and taken food out 3 times. I already did a review from a while ago about the prices. When you order in, the chicken is moist with no grill marks. When you order out, the chicken has grill marks on it, is totally dry, and has a much harder texture. Below is a picture of a salad I got three weeks ago and a salad I got today. In both situations the salads were to-go, and you will notice the grill makes on them which do not appear if you order in. Before I ordered today, I told the assistant that I would like my chicken fresh and I explained my two prior experiences to her. She was quick with an answer, as if she was rehearsed because this was probably brought up by other customers. She said the chicken is the same whether you eat in or take it out, and they do not recook old chicken. She blamed the change of the chicken on my ride home, that the chicken could change somehow. This of course is ridiculous. Grill marks don't show up on food while you are driving. Also, my ride home is 8 minutes long. No type of chicken metamorphosis should happen in 8 minutes. She then switched gears and blamed it on the chicken being hot. Total gaslighting. The other issue is the amount of ingredients they place in the salads. Lots of lettuce, a good amount of dry cardboard chicken, but very little onions, olives, feta cheese, or other ingredients. The price of each salad with chicken added for an additional charge is about $ 25.00. YES, 25 bucks for JUST one of those salads pictured below! No bread, no fries, no drink, just lettuce, old chicken, and a cheap amount of dressing. When I've eaten in, I liked their food enough that I went back, but the prices are so outrageous. I'm so disappointed with the chicken which is great when you eat in, but horrible when you order it to-go. read more

We keep coming here again, and again, and again! I love that they're opened it up more and the food is just as good. Pastries are just as fresh, the salads and sandwiches are so bomb you can't just pick one. Coffee is always my go to here and their lavender lattes have my heart. The love is felt here and the restaurant is open and airy. I've never had a problem here and the service is always top notch. read more

Their cold brew was also delicious as well. Their patio is pet friendly and the server was so nice and brought out some scrambled eggs for the pup. read more

As you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful musical ambience with their outdoor speakers. Whether this meal is to indulge in some cultural enjoyment or a visit for a little whimsical afternoon this place was a simple delight. Service was efficient and friendly. The pastries looked too good not to want to eat everything in sight. The fact I could hear multiple conversations in French by patrons and employees added to the experience that I wasn't expecting. I had the Espanol galette that was very tasty. Wonderful presentation and surprisingly filling too. Decided to order an almond croissant and the Burrata Caprese Sandwich for lunch later. Couldn't help myself. Plenty of seating and fast service. Clean and very well kept facilities. read more

One of the best breakfast place tucked away in Henderson. The food is always excellent. The fact that they only use butter and olive oil is the main reason why we go to this place. More and more restaurants should get rid of the inflammatory seed oils. read more
Well where to begin? Wonderful place to visit on a Saturday morning for sure! Came here with the family on our way to Hoover dam. We always tend to order multiple plates as to try more than one item. It's definitely delicious. The croque monsieur was enjoyed by everyone one! Warm,crispy,gooey, the right ratios of bechamel, melted cheese, and ham! The cheese danish while good for me the bread was just a tad hard. But flavor wise was on point. The burrata caprese sandwich was oh so sublime! While the chicken Dijon sandwich was grilled perfectly. The breast was moist, and the sauce flavorful. The Nutella beignet while fluffy and good left a lot to be desired. We expected them to taste more like actual beignets. Still good though nonetheless. We also ordered two drinks one iced spiced chai latte and iced caramel latte. Both were scrumptious! At this point reader you may be asking yourself, would you return though? And the answer is...most definitely so! Great spot, good food, and good vibes all around. Was in a hurry to come here to try the best hot chocolate ever .... mmmm sadly my cocoa is warm almost room temp. Didn't bother to say anything . I use to come fete when it was smaller . The expansion is great but I think still needs more servers. The food you can never go wrong for sure.but also when I ask for water . The drinking fountain is directly right by the restroom. I had to get a bottle of water . Hey that's just me. Please still visit this place, not a big deal. Just letting you know the good and the bad :) aloha ! read more

Went to our local neighborhood French cafe Cafe Du Val located in Horizon Ridge Pkwy. They just re-opened after an expansion renovation and it's better than ever. I was happy to see they kept the gorgeous peacock mural, and it's bigger than the last one, kept the pretty chandeliers and definitely doubled the space at least. The food is a delightful as ever. We had some lattes and mocha, absolutely wonderful and robust, and ate avocado toast, their French toast trio (new on the menu) and incredible, as well as a crepe. Took my friends who were visiting from out of town and they loved it. The cafe added a classy touch for their re-opening weekend offering free champagne and beignets. I highly recommend a visit if you haven't been, the food and service are simply lovely read more

I frequent this place weekly! Apologies for my late review but I had to add because this place is my fav. First off, the service is always great. Even if you have to wait, it's totally worth it. You won't be disappointed. I usually order one of pastries (blueberry turnover or beignets) and the avocado toast. This time, I brought my mom and aunt who was visiting. They loved it! So happy this cafe has expanded and has more seating now!! Last time I tried to come here it was insanely packed with a line out the door, and no tables anywhere in or out. Every time I have been here, the service has been great! They are friendly and fast, and even when the line is longer at the counter, the place is beautiful, so I don't mind the wait, lol! I hope to do an updated review in the future after I actually have a sit down order; I've only had take out orders thus far. My husband approves of the coffee, and the croissant pastry I got here was delicious. The black tea here is also high quality. If I could change anything, it would be to add more drink options like chai or matcha. I look forward to coming here with a friend in the future! read more
We came in around 9am on a Thursday. The tables inside were almost occupied. The décor was appealing, with a small chandelier at each table. A lot of guests were coming in just before we left. There's a patio out front as well. Avocado Toast | The big toast had a generous amount of avocado that was ripe enough, not mushy though, it still had a bit more bite to it. Good call on the homemade basil sauce and feta cheese! :) Beignets | It's supposed to be airy and pillowy because these are what beignets are known for. The beignets here just missed the mark :( It wasn't airy. It's more dense, did y'alls over mix the batter? Lol. It was also slightly moist likely due to the filling which appeared liquidy than jelly or creamy. Apricot Danish | The crispy dough was thin and flaky along with very juicy and slightly tangy soft apricots on either side! It also had some kind of jam or custard looking filling in the middle. Coffee, regular/hot | It tasted like a low-quality instant coffee, almost burnt. Yikes! Iced Latte | Not too bad. Was going for the Cold Brew La Colombe, but it's "coming soon." This iced coffee was not the best, but just good enough. +oatmilk $0.50 Menu: The crepe and breakfast menu choices were more than enough! The beverage menu could have been better, but it seems like this place is more on showcasing baked goods than coffee and tea. The food menu is a bit overpriced though. Gluten-free crepes available. Service: The person who took our order was very kind and knowledgeable. Our server was attentive making sure the hot coffee was always refilled lol. Love the pastries and their breakfast offerings! We came here for a quick bite to eat before our kayaking adventure. Te coffee is nice and strong. The chai latte is pretty good but isn't on the menu. Definitely get their omelette sandwich and the crepes! I also had the avocado toast and it was a lot more substantial and filling and it also included a perfectly poached egg! Yum! The staff is attentive and courteous. I've never been to a French cafe, but it definitely feels like I'm in Paris sitting in a cafe having my morning breakfast. Definitely get some of their almond croissants for a snack later. Can't wait to come back again the next time I'm in the area. read more
They are expanding which is so exciting. The ambiance was so pretty and clean. The employees were so friendly, engaging, and welcoming. But that's just the start because the food... So tasty and light. The croissant sandwich was great but the croque madame was amazing. Not too much béchamel which can be annoying. The egg was cooked perfectly. Very reasonable. I wouldn't say it's on the high side, nor is it on the low side. I think it is fair.

There is limited seating and it's a small place when it gets busy it can be loud. I'd say not really.
Do they take reservations?
Yes, they took our luncheon reservations, so it looks like they take reservations for the entire day.
Do you have any gluten free options?
No gluten free bakeries or cookies. They buy their bakeries, so no guarantee a dedicated gluten free label. And the bakery case an open counter so there's a chance of cross contamination if you are celiac's.
Are there any dairy free crepe?
Yes there is a savory dairy free buckwheat crepe!
