Le Creuset Outlet Store turned out to be a great stop while shopping at Vacaville Premium Outlets. We were looking for a birthday gift for a friend who loves cast-iron cookware, and after browsing for a bit, we ended up purchasing a traditional round skillet that matched the color of her existing cookware. The associate helping us was very patient and helpful, especially when it came to choosing the right color combination. The store itself is not huge, but it carries a surprisingly large variety of cookware and kitchen items. Since it's an outlet location, you won't necessarily find every style or color available in full retail stores, but the pricing is noticeably better. We've also been trying to slowly move away from some nonstick cookware and toward cast iron and other materials, so it was nice to see so many quality options in one place. To be honest, Le Creuset doesn't really have a lot of whole new exciting products. On the other hand their classic lineup is exciting. So I headed in to take a look at all the pieces I didn't have. 25 years ago, I would've crumbled and purchased everything. Now I've grown up a lot and learned how to use straight up cast-iron. since I can make my own nonstick coating, Le Creuset suddenly looks expensive and kind of over the top. The one great thing about that enamel cast-iron, it resistant to acidic foods which means you can cook just about anything you want in the Le Creuset without switching to stainless steel or any other material. Since Le Creuset shouldn't be heated past medium, you still have to switch to stainless steel if you want high heat. Nevertheless, if you're making a stew, a Dutch oven from this company rules. So I took a close look at the Dutch ovens. They have quite the lineup. There were the adorable little ones which look cute but cook hardly any food. there were the more medium size ones, but since I already have one, I don't need the one that's one size down or one size up. Which leads to the 8 to 9 quart Dutch oven. Honestly as a single person 8 to 9 quarts is pretty impractical. Also, where would I store it. Nevertheless, I drooled. I was quite amused to see the big signs announcing the fresh new colors. They just don't have very many marketing gimmicks that they can apply to classic cookware. The one really nice thing about the store is the full lineup of cookware that this company makes. There aren't a lot of places that have anywhere near the stock that this store has. It's a great place to check out some of the harder to find items. Just make sure to ask about cosmetic defects. I purchased my pot from an outlet store 20 years ago. The staff person was very meticulous and showed me the exact cosmetic defect in the pot I purchased. She also warned me that the outlet products were not covered by the usual warranty. I purchased the pot and the cosmetic defect was indeed cosmetic. The pot cooked great. Luckily I've never needed the warranty. So make sure you ask. read more

This was the last Le Creuset outlet that I had not visited in the area and I was really excited to see what they carried. And truly they did not disappoint. They have a much larger selection than the Gilroy outlet and were slightly more organized than the Pleasanton location with a bit more variety as well. If you're looking for pink items, like the Pleasanton location they carry the Satin pink pans, as well as pieces in the olive branch collection. Of the three, if you're looking to purchase Le Creuset, I would go from the North down, Vacaville, Pleasanton, then Gilroy if you really want to make the drive to the third, although between the first two in my opinion you could easily skip it. The service was friendly and helpful and I was able to pick up some pastel pinch bowls and a couple tasting cups in Provence - so all in all it was a great trip and I would absolutely return! read more

Employee was beyond rude to where we walked out without our purchase. I was checking lids and to see if there was pitting in the enamel. There's no sign asking for customers to ask for customer service. The lady yelled at me in front of other customers for opening a box, which I've done on numerous other shopping trips. It was extremely embarrassing for me to be yelled at in front of other customers. She then told me to be patient at the same time thanked other customers for being patient, a sarcastic jab. My mom and my aunt were there and we were dumbfounded on what we did to cause this reaction and treatment. I've spent thousands of dollars on le cruset both at the outlet and from Williams Sonoma so I know my way around the cookware. Won't be buying from Vacaville outlet. I was in the area on Friday and decided to stop by. I have to say this was some of the best customer service I received in a store in a long time. The prices are about 20 to 30% lower than online. Choices are a little limited on colors but it is an outlet store so don't expect it for them to have everything in every color. The store was very clean and organized well. After we got greeted, we walked around in circles around the store clerk and not once did he ask if we needed help. I asked if they sold sets, was told no, and that's it. He lost a sale due to this. Le Creuset Outlet Store - Cobalt Blue 5.5 QT Dutch Oven - Tableware Near Me - Vacaville, California

I'm a part of a cooking group on Facebook (FB) where one of the members often uses the Le Creuset Every Day Enamelware tray. I wanted one but it was no longer carried online. I contacted Le Creuset on FB and they recommended I contacted the outlets. Vacaville had it and I purchased two. I told another member of that FB cooking group (who is from Ohio), that Vacaville had a few more trays. That member bought two trays as well. At that time, I thought I should purchase two more as Christmas gifts. Unfortunately, the Vacaville store ran out (that member bought the last two). Fortunately for me, I spoke with Cherri who is the district manager for the region and she advised me the Gilroy store had several more trays. Since I was swinging by the Vacaville store in a couple of weeks, Cherri helped make arrangements for me to purchase from the Gilroy store and pick it up in the Vacaville store. We spent about a half an hour on the phone talking and before long she seemed like an old friend. Thank you to Cherri and her team for making my purchases so personal! My friends from Ireland are huge Le Creuset fans, but it's super expensive in that country. When I mentioned we have Le Creuset outlet stores here, they nearly fainted from excitement and asked me to look for a couple of items in a particular color. I stopped by here on a whim when I remembered their request and perused the store for a bit. So, I'm an admitted food-nerd, and kitchen goddess (in my own mind, of course). And, I have been pining away for just one piece of Le Creuset enameled cast iron... any size, any color - I just wanted one. Warning, kitchen nerds... one will never be enough. Once you get one, you'll find another reason for another size. And damnit, this is the place to procure your dream-cookery items. The store is nicely organized by color. Some items are "seconds", but you can still get the lifetime warranty. And, some items are discontinued colors - still get the lifetime warranty. In my humble opine, all of the colors are beautiful. So why not go for the discontinued color that happens to be on sale!? I now have three lovely pieces in various colors (someone is trying to keep me in the kitchen), one discontinued exclusive blue for Williams Sonoma. Eh, blue schmoo. I died and went to Le Creuset heaven! Went there with my BF during the New Years weekend and wound up buying a 7.25 qt French Oven for $145, which was cheaper than with my discount from Sur La Table (I work there part time for the discount) and absolutely love it! They have colors no one else has and there was ONLY 1 table that had "irregulars" the rest was all just fine. Le Creuset pieces are each individually made, so no 2 look exactly alike. This place is a gem and you have to go in and sign up for their mailing list to find out about other deals. OMG Becky, this is the store for me!!! I don't know why I didn't latch on like a baby to it's mother's teet sooner. This place is amazing with it's ultra durable cookware and beautiful enameled colors. In true outlet fashion, the nice associate brought to my attention that they were discontinuing the Napa Round French Oven which came in a stunning green I hadn't seen before (like hunter green). I was instantly enamored or enameled no matter how you look at it. I already needed some good cast iron cookware for fine cooking that others would partaking in as well as it being the perfect conversation piece. It was a total treat to come upon a Le Creuset outlet store the other day while I was browsing the mall (which is getting less and less impressive as the years go on. Remember when outlet stores were a thing?). The store isn't very big, but they have a lot of merchandise. There is almost every color in the rainbow to be had and they are all the quality product you expect. I didn't make any big purchases--but they had a lot here at decent prices when I decide to. The prices were decent--$13 for a medium size spatula, $12 for a set of gorgeous clearance salt and pepper shakers (originally at $35, $24 at the outlet with 50% off) and a basting brush for around $6. So, for $30 I took home three things that would've usually been at least twice as much. Nothing was wrong with any of the items I purchased and all are sturdy and authentic at prices that are equivalent of the "nice" stuff at Target. Now, I'm not a stickler for color--I didn't get two pieces that matched, but they were all in complimentary colors. Even if I was, they had a large stock that would meet the needs of a novice or seasoned collector. Obviously the more unique (read: 70's orange) will probably have more in stock than the more popular or neutral colors. If you are a AAA member you get an additional 15% off of regularly priced items, so my spatula was under the advertised price. Make sure you ask about it before you complete your transaction so you can get the discount. They carry discontinued colors like Fennel here at 35% off and I saw prices as low as 70% off. NEVER RETURNING. My mother and I went in to le creuset this weekend on our shopping day and browsed through the store. We were in the store browsing made our way to the back where the two older employees were and got ABSOLUTELY NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM EITHER WOMEN. All we heard from them was a lot of trash talking about what i assume was another employee. One single female stuck her head in the store and got a "hello how are you today?" from one employee..but my mother and i were almost COMPLETELY IGNORED until we walked out and I said "have a nice day!" and the older female employee replied "thanks you too!" My husband wanted a Le Creuset braiser so we headed to the outlet to get him one. We found a second quality one in the color he liked for 35%off. When we asked what second quality meant, they said it had some cosmetic imperfections. We looked at the sample they had on display and when we found the flaw, we decided it was so minimal that we didn't mind buying it. The salesperson who assisted us still went out of her way to check the backroom for a stock item with lesser imperfection. How amazing is that!?! read more

The prices at the outlet store were maybe a couple bucks less, but after factoring tax it's right up there or more than Amazon (hello, free shipping and no tax). Definitely worth checking out if your in the area, but not worth driving to unless you really need advice from a sales rep. Don't try to return anything from this company. I bought a replacement lid direct from Le Creuset. It did not fit my frying pan. Le Creuset does not answer their phones. You cannot obtain an RMA because you can only obtain one over the phone. They do not respond to feedback that their process is broken. The item arrived without the promised return form. The instructions they provide on their site wrt to returns is wrong. They hung up on me before answering my call (after waiting a long time). They do not respond to emails. I bought this lid thinking it would fit my model #0215 frying pan. It does not, and I cannot either exchange it for one that fits or simply return it for my $50 back. Fifty bucks is a lot for a lid, but I suppose you are paying for that snobbiness that the French are famous for. I sure learned my lesson not to ever buy anything from this company again. read more

This outlet is absolutely awesome! I have been wanting a Le Creuset dutch oven for a long time & I finally got one, and more, the other day when I visited this outlet. First, Richard (I believe he is the manager) was so great!! He paid a lot of attention to us, and made some great and honest recommendations. Second, the store carries what they call "first & second quality" Le Creuset items. The sales people will always make sure to look through their stock & find the best pieces of the item that you're looking for. The crazy thing is is that the second quality is classified that way, for example, because of some tiny scratch on the lid, etc., that you really can't notice anyway. And, that little scratch will get you a DEEP discount. Some of the second quality pieces looked like first quality to me. Third, I went a little crazy because the store was having a 40% off sale on their second quality enameled cast iron dutch ovens, skillets, pans, pots, etc., and because I bought so much, Richard, threw in a few goodies that I really appreciated such as: a cooking with cast iron cookbook, a bottle of cleaning solution for enameled cast iron, two silicon pads to be placed on a table under the hot cast iron, & a silicone handle to put on a pot handle. Today, I realized that I needed to take advantage of the sale that's going on until 8/31, and ordered 3 more pieces over the phone, and they will be shipped to me for free, which saved me an hours drive each way :) This place has wonderful customer service, great prices, and if you catch a sale like the one I just did, e.g., 40% off on already discounted pieces (since it's an outlet store), you will be in cook's heaven! Anybody who likes to cook knows that Le Creuset is some of the best cookware that you can get, will last you for the rest of your life & can be handed down to loved ones when you're ready to retire from the kitchen. I had to get the word out. This is one hot potato that I am not keeping in my lap. Le Creuset, the emperor of fine french cookware has an outlet store right off of HWY 80 in Vacaville- and it is hot! They feature all of the enameled cast iron cookware that Le Creuset is known for, plus cool little cooking tools, like brand new silicone (not just for your boobs any more) cooking sheets sheets, cast iron pots and pans and oh so much more. We love their products but....customer service (SC based NOT Vacaville store) is horrible!! Impossible to talk with a real person...have left several vm's and can not get a return call. If they have that many product issues that you can not get a return call from customer service, I think you need to be concerned. Here is specifically what you need to consider when buying from a Le Creuset store...according to company policy...you can not return any product to the store. If broken (i.e., a tea pot whistle cap) or a faulty product under warranty (i.e., a torn wine cooler sleeve), you will be given a photocopied sheet directing you to call customer service in SC for a return authorization AT YOUR EXPENSE (which will be quite costly if returning cast iron cookware). This assuming customer service will answer their phone AND/OR return a voice mail msg. As stated above, I have been unsuccessful with both. I just think it important that you understand their return policy given their products are not inexpensive and, at least I, think you should expect more from their customer service. read more

It was neat seeing a larger variety of colors than in a typical store, but I didn't think their prices warranted a special effort to buy anything. Even with the "discounts" it was pretty similar to what I'd pay in a department store. If you are wanting a specific item, it's great. But there really are no big savings to be had here. read more

We visited the Le Creuset store this past weekend (04/05/11). It was our first time shopping the Vacaville outlets, and we simply happened by chance upon the store - did not know ahead of time that it was there. Once I saw the store (but my wife didn't) I knew that I couldn't just pass it by, so we stopped in while simultaneously agreeing not to buy anything/only browse. We quickly changed our minds about buying because of the customer service and great deals! Once inside the store, we were greeted courteously and proceeded to browse for about 5-7 minutes before one of the Sales Associates - Vicki Mizzi - engaged with us. Vicki was very experienced and knowledgeable. She was formerly at the Walnut Creek signature store. I especially liked her approach and manner of interacting with us. Unlike a lot of commission based salespeople, she wasn't "on" us the moment we walked into the store and didn't 'hover' over us like we were prey oblivious to the coming pounce. Instead, she observed our browsing and chose an opportune time to speak with us. We already owned a few pieces of cast iron cookware, including two heavy skillets and one Le Creuset 2.5 qt. french oven. For several years, however, my wife had been wanting to start acquiring her set of red enameled cast iron from Le Creuset. Turns out, this was the perfect opportunity and we jumped at the chance! Vicki helped us to find the best pieces to match our cooking needs. The merchandise was very high quality, and although this is an outlet store, there were really no discernable differences between the quality of the merchandise you might expect to find in a signature store vs. the 'seconds' that you would expect in an outlet store. Even though we had decided ahead of walking into the store that we weren't planning to purchase, we ended up purchasing 5 pieces of cookware because the prices were so great! Vicki examined each of the pieces individually to double check and ensure that they were either of first rate quality or had very minor, cosmetic blemishes. We were also able to pick up a couple of pieces that were to be/have been discontinued which might have been difficult to find elsewhere. Credit to her extensive experience in a signature store. THUMBS UP - picked up my first couple pieces of Le Creuset cookware here. They have first-quality goodies at a slight discount, and seconds (cosmetic blemishes) at an even bigger discount. They apparently also have really good specials from time to time, because on top of the seconds discount I got an additional 30% off for buying $300 worth of stuff (which is not hard to do if you just buy a couple pots here).
