Had the greatest experience can't even explain how fantastic the appetizers and entrées were. We were a party of 20 and the food was fantastic!!! Not only was the food fantastic the server,the staff ALL so professional. Apps each and everyone was amazing. The mozzarella sticks, I've never had anything like that before, as well as the deep fried artichokes with their special dipping sauce. The Barada was the best I ever had with tomato, sushi appetizer platter epic! I forgot to mention the french fries it can sound funny but nothing like I've ever had ever !!! As far as entrées go I highly recommend the shrimp risotto will not disappoint. How we had room for dessert is beyond us. I honestly can't pick one that we like better. I can't believe we have never eaten here before. It was absolutely amazing. Everything from the food to the service. The Korean fried chicken is out of this world good. Seriously get this if you are eating here. The sushi on crispy rice was to die for. My brother and mom had penne vodka with lobster and it was delish. My mom is Italian and a hard critic, but it passed her expectations with flying colors. We ended it all with the olive oil cake. Something I would have never ordered (my brother did, for the table) and now I will have this every time I come back. To top it off our waiter was amazing. We had a big group. The Girls (waitresses) looked as if they were forced to wear school girl-clothing. The owner is an old man who also is lurking around. If you own a business; you don't need to stare at customers and deeply manage like that. Get a young friendly manager to run sh*t for you. Please and thank you. The restaurant however is very nice. Beautiful venue. But the staffers are way under-dressed. (at least they all match) I ordered the most expensive meal besides lobster on the menu, and it was so severely disappointing. I had gotten the Baja fish tacos, and they were dry. Under dressed with dressing. Not enough food comma nothing on the side of the dish like beans or rice. Absolutely and utterly disappointing for $38.00 The cups are like the bottom, half of a bar shaker cup, they cut your lip and there's not enough water inside them, we had to hell the waitress down a couple times and ask for more water because we were drinking straight up to ounces. My partner had ordered some of the most tasteless sauced pasta. I was starving after the fish tacos so I had to eat her pasta. While she ordered some thing else. It's not hard to make pasta taste good. Add some chopped up garlic, fresh basil. I could've made this pasta better at home with two packets of Ramen. And saved $25.00 if you're super hungry and you want to eat it's not worth it going here. Portions are small and food is tasteless. The only thing that I do actually appreciate besides, the ambience is the salted caramel cheesecake, which was absolutely delightful. My friend and I walked over an hour to get here (PSA for those not from the area, you will have to walk, bike, or take the ferry to visit) and the staff still accommodated us and were so friendly and welcoming. Lovely meal at Le Dock on a Friday evening. Plenty of outdoor seating with a nice view of the bay, sunset and people watching. The service from the owner and waitstaff was top-notch. All employees wore masks, gloves, sanitized tables, tables were nicely spread out, and a QR code was used at the table to view the menu on your phone. They offer a very nice drink menu, regular menu and a substantial menu of specials. The food was very good and cooked perfectly. Good flavors and pairings. The tuna actually tasted like mush and was on a bed of guac that tasted like it was from a pre-packaged guac jar. Mezze platter was just hummus (from can) and baba ghanouj (just mashed eggplant, no spices). Service: he was extremely charming, but rather than show us a menu and be price transparent, claimed there wasn't one. We had our wedding at Le Dock on June 18, 2022! It was the perfect day! We worked with Michael at Le Dock for over a year to plan our perfect wedding day. He was amazing! He was genuinely excited for us, and happy to accommodate in any/every way he could. Leading up to the wedding, we met on zoom each month to discuss the details, any changes, and finalize everything. Michael & his team set up the chairs on the beach for our beautiful wedding ceremony (you can see in the pictures below). Then we had a happy hour at Le Dock, and the drinks and food were delicious! We had an amazing local band (thanks Howie Tichler and band!!) play during our happy hour. It was a particularly windy & cold day in June, and Michael and his team transitioned smoothly to more of an indoor reception than we had anticipated. Afterward, we had dinner & speeches outside as the sun set. Then, it was cake cutting and dancing! Michael recommended a local DJ (thanks DJ Brian!), and we all had so much fun! What I appreciate the most about Michael & Le Dock was that our wedding was so personalized and so perfect for who we are as a couple. So many other wedding venues we looked at had a "cookie cutter" wedding package, where every wedding seemed the same, and it was almost industrial & entirely financial in how they churned out weddings. Our wedding was ours. Every detail, every moment, was special and was planned only for our wedding by us & by Michael. If you are looking for a place to have your wedding, definitely consider Le Dock! Not only is Fire Island maybe the most beautiful place ever to get married, but Michael will work with you more than any other venue to make sure your day is perfect! NO STARS!!! Just had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life (and I'm 60). Had a reservation for 7:15, arrived 5 minutes early to see walk ins seated ahead of us and then waited an hour to be seated. During that time I repeatedly went to the host who kept saying "you have the next table" which, when it came open, went to someone else. And then things went downhill. Drink orders aren't delivered. My wife ordered two appetizers, one as an entree and they were delivered together (after 20 minutes) instead of separately, so her mussels got cold while she ate her burrata. When she asked for a bit more lettuce with her burrata (which came with a leaf) she was told "that will be an up charge"!! We couldn't believe it. I understand things are tough during COVID, but there's no excuse for the bad attitude and truly horrible service we got at this restaurant. I guess they think that since they're the only game in town they can treat their customers like dirt. Order take out, cook at home, but do not patronize this establishment!!! read more

We walked to Le Dock from Ocean Beach on a pretty hot day - just saying that the walk back was far better along the water than the midway path. We didn't make reservations because we weren't sure how long it would take and if we were making stops along the way. We did make reservations about 8 minutes before we got there and were glad we did because it got busy fast and if we were walk-ins, we would've had to wait. The service was really good and inside was nice and cool. The drinks were also good. I got the Burrata Caprese which would have been better if they had used a nice, ripe tomato. I saw some beautiful ones in the market around the corner, so I know they were available. The pesto on it was very tasty but just not enough of it. If you're craving basil, maybe ask for extra. I also got the Korean Chicken which was pricey for fried chicken and noodles but it was delicious and a large portion. My husband and friends got various other appetizers and entrees that I can't remember. There were no complaints from anyone and no one was wowed by the taste. Overall I would say that it was good and worth trying but the food was nothing special but was a bit overpriced even for the island. We have been going to this restaurant for a few years. However, this year since the new owner took over, it has become one of our favorite restaurants in Fire Island. The menu has expanded significantly, so your choices are much more varied. Most importantly, though, the food is delicious. The salad appetizers are fresh and tasty! The crab cake is filled with crab and fabulous. The fish is always fresh and so enjoyable. The pastas are always so good and cooked al dente. There are also a variety of specials each night to choose from This new owner has taken a restaurant that has a beautiful location, where you can view the lovely sunsets, and turned it into a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommended The new Le Dock, to anyone visiting Fire Island. Even if you aren't staying in Fair Harbor, it's worth the short water taxi ride, just to experience this delightful restaurant. read more
