Visited this nail salon few weeks ago for the first time for a pedicure with my sister! Usually go to a nail salon down the street but had an unfortunate experience so wanted to try this new salon. Had a great experience, was able to walk in on a weekday. Got the special package with hot stones and was very relaxing. I used to love this salon. I don't know if they're using cheap gel now but my gel mani lasted less than a week. I use gloves for dishwashing and don't use my hands for laborious work so I don't understand why they wouldn't last longer. I'll be looking for a new nail salon. Bring cash if you don't want to pay extra fees, think it's a dollar for cards they do accept Zelle and there's a sign that they appreciate cash tips. I was fortunate enough to get in for my usual pedicure on a Saturday before noon. Usually this place is booked on weekends. I don't get manicures or use polish so not sure about those services. There's only three customers, but I do see they only have two people working and one sitting at the front greeting. I tell the person hello I'm here as a walk-in do you have availability? He then starts nodding his head no and tells me I'm sorry I do not have any availability at all today which I understand but he didn't try to offer to schedule me in on another day or nothing actually, I kind of just stare at him for a sec like wow OK and turn around and leave. Rude for no reason. Parking is a nightmare. I arrived and asked how long a pedicure would take because I was limited on time the guy said "I don't know there's different types of pedicure" I said I want a basic pedicure "Well I don't know ask the lady". The lady calls me with a pedicure chair ready for me and before I sit down I ask how long a pedicure would take she says "sit down". I am wearing sandals she can see my feet, again I ask "how long will it take?". An hour. That is all I needed to know, I walked out. I wanted to get a mani and pedi for my sisters wedding this weekend. It's literally in 2 days. After reviewing some local shops, I decided this one since it was walking distance from the barbershop and was getting my son's haircut. I asked for mid tier gel pedi and regular gel mani. My pedi lady was amazing. She did a great job and the hot stone massage made this experience a little more tolerable. The biggest problem was my mani lady. I kid you not, it was the most PAINFUL mani I've ever had in my life. She was so rough and aggressive. She was literally jabbing into the corners of my finger bed with her sharp ass cuticle tool. She knicked me several times which caused me to bleed. I ultimately had to tell her to stop cleaning up my nails cause I was literally already bleeding on 3 fingers. Not 1, not 2 but THREE FINGERS. The alcohol and acetone that was used during the mani also burned like crazy since now I had open wounds. My hands look crusty and beat up since I have dried blood just chilling. My hands are literally ruined for the wedding. Mind you, I am also the MAID OF HONOR!!! I didn't voice my unsatisfactory as the women who did my mani, also rung me up and I try not to be confrontational. I understand businesses and foreign workers and try to sympathize as much as possible. Instead of making a scene inside the salon, I paid full price and included $10 tip for each of the ladies. In all honestly, my mani should've been completely comped. It was a clean facility and the staff were very nice. I am so beyond happy it isn't even funny. I am the type that is incredibly loyal to my nail salon and went to my previous nail salon and nail tech Son for the better part of 6 years. She recently sold her salon and moved and I tried out the new nail techs that took over her salon.... And had the literal worst experience ever. They overbooked and kept me for 3 hours. I was willing to overlook that as I know Salon's get busy but I got a brand new acrylic set and one of the nails literally popped off in less than 48 hours and my toes were crooked and uneven and one was even cracked. I knew I had to find a new place. That's where Le My's comes in. Bryan did my acrylics, new set and fill and he is EXCELLENT. I've been getting acrylics and fills for almost 15 years and I LOVE his attention to detail and the quality of my set. He is quiet so don't expect him to chat you up during your service, but know he does great work. And I also got a pedicure done. I didn't have time for the deluxe service but it doesn't even matter because it was 10x better than what I had before and Hannah was able to fixed my nail shape (from the crack left by the former salon) and quality was great! Great place! You'll be there for a while, but they do pay attention to detail. I just wish the manicurists would stop speaking Vietnamese. It's rude. Sometimes I can tell they talk about the clients. This is a long overdue review. I've been coming here for years, primarily because it's the only place I have found that the Gel lasts the full two weeks. Other places start chipping within a week. The ladies here are all so meticulous in their work, they take their time. It's also very affordable I pay $51 for a gel mani and a regular pedi. They prefer cash and I recommend making an appointment. I have never experienced any rudeness from any of the staff. The main guy has a stern voice but I have perceived more as he's busy and it's a cultural difference in communication styles vs. he's rude. My usual nail spa was temporarily closed so I decided to try Le My. I have been here twice now and I enjoyed my pedicures. I have tried the basic and the special pedicures. Both are great and they don't rush you here. The leg massages are excellent. It's my preference to bring my own nail polish but they have a large selection of colors. I call ahead to make an appointment. I wish there was more parking as Downey Ave is often crowded but there is a small lot in the back if you can figure out where to enter from! I always get a simple French tip mani pedi and this place is local and although sometimes the paint job is bad or the French tip is uneven, I don't mind for the price and the convenience of it being by my job (although the fact that they don't take Apple Pay is super inconvenient). I had an appointment at 10am today, I couldn't make it and I called around 9:50 to let them know, no answer, I got busy and it slipped my mind. I called as soon as I remembered (maybe around 10:30) and apologized, asked if I can reschedule and the gentleman that's always in the front said "just call me tomorrow" in a very rude tone. Outstanding and exceptional experience from start to finish! My friend had her appointment at 5:00pm and I was there to keep her company. It was super busy and I just sat and waited for her appointment to finish. Monica did my friend's gel manicure and my friend was amazed about how it turned out. My friend upped for something different because she usually do acrylics for many years. My friend was so thrilled and loved on how her nails turned out. While I was waiting, the receptionist talked me into doing my nails also! But after 2 bad experiences with the male OWNER who's in the front & answers the phone . He has the absolute worst attitude & customer service , I came in for my 2 week pedicure with Amy and he had another woman coming to get me for my pedicure , I kindly said oh I have an apt with Amy and he was so mad & continued to say I didn't. I told him I only make my apts with her and gave my name and the time I made when we talked over phone, I definitely have an apt with AMY. I called 30 min later to see if she had an cancellations for an earlier one & he said no we don't have 4pm & I said oh no I booked one already for 4 pm , he continued to cut me off and ask "then why are you calling again" I said to see if she had got any cancellations... & he said you called like 10 mins ago no we don't . I don't know why he's so angry all the time , he seems to just be in there answering phones not even working , the ladies in there all work hard .
