My partner and I stopped by for brunch during the opening weekend, and I can't wait to return! We were greeted by friendly staff and the indoor space is nice and spacious. We decided to each get one savory crepe (the Chicken Pesto and the La Dinde), and split a sweet crepe (the Chocolate Bonus). My partner got an iced vanilla latte and I got a mango iced tea. I loved that they had some samples of crepes out so that we could try some of the flavors! I tried a berry one (after ordering) so I'll definitely be getting that next time! We found a table outside and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food to arrive. The portions are HUGE - these were definitely the biggest crepes I've ever gotten from a restaurant/cafe. The savory crepes came with a side of salad which I really appreciated. All of the crepes were delicious and I was not hungry again for the rest of the day, which doesn't happen often! I really appreciated how accommodating the staff was. For the Chocolate Bonus crepe that my partner and I split, we asked for it without fruit because of food preferences. One of the staff asked if we'd like it on the side so that we were getting our money's worth. That meant a lot to me and I enjoyed a (large!) plate of fruit on the side! I first discovered the Crepevine restaurant when I went to CAL umpteenth years ago. I would go to class, meet friends for lunch before taking Rockridge BART back to Walnut Creek. Le Palais Sucre reminded me a little bit of this time. The freshly made crepes come in sweet or savory options. The crepes themselves are perfect, large and tender, not rubbery at all. We tried 1 savory crepe and 2 sweet crepes over 2 visits. The ham and cheese came with a small side salad and was OK. Their sweet dessert crepes were heavenly. Both of the ones we tried were so delicious, I'm abandoning all restraint and already plotting a 3rd visit in as many days. I had a bite of the sweet mixed berry crepe. I usually like fresh fruit but in this case, it was smart to use jam instead of fresh fruit. With the height of berry season passed, the berries weren't very ripe or sweet. My own chocolate crepe was so good, my plan to take home half of the dessert failed. Despite the huge portion, I ate the whole thing in 1 sitting and didn't regret a thing. My only quibble, the fresh strawberries in the strawberry lemonade were sour and not very palatable. I had the banana nutella crepe. Crepe was nice and soft (not the crispy kind). The nutella spread was really nice but I could have used a bit less of it since it was over powering with the sweetness. My new favorite go-to place in town. They opened up at the old Icicles location next to the Burmese restaurant. Started coming here when they were just serving crepes, but now they've added breakfast items. They have a great variety of menu items from savory to sweet. The portions are great and everything is fresh. Their coffee and mochas are of very decent quality. Plus they put such amazing designs on their espresso items. They also have really good ice cream. Family ordered two mushroom, egg and cheese crepes. The ingredients inside were good; however, not so good that we are hankering to go back again any time soon. I felt that the egg, cheese and mushroom would have been better served as a omelette as the crepe was missing any topping sauce to offset the layers of dry crepe. We had a wonderful brunch at this newer, delightful and unassuming little cafe off of Main Street in downtown Pleasanton. Service was phenomenal! They are known for for crepes, and I really enjoyed the chicken pesto one I ordered. Portions were quite generous as well.
