A little pricey! Ordered the Lime Cilantro Salad & Cobb Salad, they were good & tasty, but I was disappointed that my lettuce was mostly Iceberg instead of leafy green like told on the menu. This was actually more of a 3.5, but I'll round up. I got the migas, which are eggs scrambled with pieces of tortilla. It was pretty good, although the pico de gallo on the side was obviously a hold-over from yesterday. The refried beans on the side were delicious and smokey (I'm guessing they were made with bacon fat...I'm going to pretend I don't know that!). I also got a side of the peasant potatoes with cheese, just to see what they're like. They're basically country potatoes with seasoning, and they were alright. My husband thought they were dry, but he put his egg yolks on them and fixed that. He also thought his sausages were dry. He did enjoy the french toast and eggs, though (he got a giant platter--the 18 wheeler, I think?). I got a chocolate cherry mocha topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, and that was pretty amazing! I didn't finish it (a shame at almost $4) because it was too sweet, but I don't have a real sweet tooth so that's probably on me. The service was really good and our food came out quickly, so that's why I'm rounding up to 4. We would try them again. read more

I liked our experience and in general love these types of restaurants because they offer about everything to eat morning or night. We aren't huge breakfast food fans so having the option to eat a chicken sandwich or burger in the morning is a huge plus for us! We dined here Monday morning. I chose the chicken fried steak meal and had coffee to drink. She chose one of the egg white omelet meals. We both ate everything on our plates. One of the things I love about the meal preps here is that it is fresh, not greasy, not salty at all. You just get the feel that you are eating much healthier food than going to Village Inn. This restaurant is just above ok. My wife and I took our son here for the first time last week, we had exceptional service even though the food was just ok. Today we decided to give it another go. I ordered the homestead breakfast and my wife the 18 wheeler. The peasant potatoes were right next to undercooked, my eggs over easy sunny side up were over medium, the biscuits and gravy was unbelievably bland. The biscuits were the dice of a small prune and the gravy was dull and lifeless. My wife's French toast could have been slapped together on any griddle and looked better and tasted better than what she was served today. Her potatoes were also raw in the middle, the best part of her meal was leaving most of it on the table. I am honestly truly disappointed, I thought finally a breakfast restaurant that may hold a candle to breakfast and brunch in Kansas City. I will say that our server last time was what made me want to give this place another go. She was a quirky brunette that wore some fun chucks. She was fun and brought laughter and conversation to the table. This time however I was not so lucky, the waitress seemed to have no time and was just eager to figure out what we wanted and as soon as the food was out she stopped for a brief second to ask is there anything else you need. We said no and she dropped the ticket and bolted. Even though I always believe in tipping what you earn I still topped 20% even though the service was maybe worthy of 10. I figured she could spend the money on personality lessons. My wife and I will never attend this dining again and recommend going somewhere else that has friendly servers and food with flavor and flash. read more

Ordered the breakfast taco trio this morning. I was surprised to see it did not come with salsa. When I asked for some, I was told it was $0.79. Whatever, I needed salsa. When the waitress brought it to the table, it was a tiny little plastic cup. Food for the most part tastes ptetty standard. I ordered the"Migas" a 3egg omelet version of Chile quiles. I expected an omelet, instead I got a tortilla chip skillet. Once I removed about 50 chip strips, I was left with about 1/2 an eggs worth of scrambled eggs and cheese. Not so much the 3-egg omelet I expected. In addition to this, the coffee is left at the table so you can refill but when it's half empty (I can't quite say half full right now), and the server doesn't stop by or make eye contact when walking by so you can ask for more, it's a bit disappointing. read more

The first thing I recognized at Le Peep is the fact it is completely run by teenage girls. I wanted to like this place more than I did. The coconut latte was awesome and the smoothies that my kids had were great but this isn't a coffee house. It's a breakfast and lunch place and the food was a slight step up from Village Inn. If food is supposed to be hot then have it be hot when it hits the table. My wife's omelette was warm at best and the tortilla strips in my Migas were soggy which makes me think our food say in the window for a bit before it hit the table. The crepes that my son had were good but nothing you couldn't get at the other breakfast places around town. The service is great and that is why I gave it three stars. The food is definitely a 2 star at best. However I was quite surprised with how well the staff did their jobs in the front of house. Unfortunately I don't think we will be back. The food was not up to par with the rest of the small breakfast places around here. read more

Sad to say but you see restaurants slip in quality and customer service every day, but my last couple visits to this La Peeps has really taken me by surprise . From the front end manager, seated us , whom has not seemed happy in over a year now, to the food that came out very bland , no seasoning , and cold potatoes, this place has really gone downhill . Came in on empty stomach , and within an hour was running to a bathroom. Was it the chicken or the sloppy looking eggs ? Idk , just know one thing , there are other places to eat at ? First my friends order of toast came on my plate. The table next to us had various food items on the wrong plates also. My friend found a hair in her oatmeal. Mine was cold. Service was poor. The food was great as always; however there was a mix up with with the waitress or kitchen because 1 of my grandsons had to wait almost 10 minutes for his pancakes. We had a party of 8. All 3 grandsons (ages 6, 6 and 4) ordered the same meal...all meals came out except one. We managed and the boys shared a bit till the final meal came out...I would have appreciated a " I'm sorry for the delay" at the very least, but there was no apology from anyone on staff. This was my first time to Le Peep and I did not know what to expect. I had the almond crusted french toast special with sweet ricotta filling topped with bananas and raspberry sauce. Pure decadence. The potatoes were pleasantly seasoned with fresh herbs and the sausage was high quality. No grease in sight. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt. My wife and I typically go to a LePeep almost every week. You could always count on the food being good, good value, and good service. What is changing? 4 or 5 weeks ago - I sub fruit for potatoes and a grape had mold on the top. I told the waitress and she said "oh no" and walked off. She left the fruit sitting there, no apology - nothing. I called her back over and told her to take the extra cost off our ticket (which she did) - fruit still there no apology. 3 weeks ago, my sister-in-law got an omelet and it wasn't cooked all the way. It ran all over here plate and she didn't eat it. I am seeing a pattern here - where is the quality going? Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. My wife and I went to the Dodge street location and I substituted a pancake for my English muffin so my daughter could have. She eats maybe 5 bites of one, so didn't want a big one. They brought it and it was an extra $1. Today, we go to the West Center location as my wife just got back into town from a trip. We wanted a nice breakfast and to talk as she got in late and tomorrow is her birthday. We tried to do the same thing but sub it for potatoes and I didn't want an English muffin and that was a struggle. The waitress eventually said ok. Next, my wife's English muffin looked like someone had taken a bite out of it. I know they didn't, but why would you send that out of the kitchen? This is supposed to be a restaurant you can count on not a whole in the wall that you never know what you are going to get. Finally, we got up to pay and our bill was $33!!! 2 people, for breakfast - $33??? I can go to the Olive Garden for supper for that. They ended up charging us over $5 each for each pancake. Each of our omelets was only $6 something. I complained and got "we don't do substitutions." I told them they did at Dodge Street and she said, "they might there but we don't here.' (Side note: YOU ARE OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON) Then the other lady standing there said "companies are having to charge more now days." I was like, "$4 extra for one pancake in 5 days - that is some tremendous inflation." Ultimately, we left very unhappy in what should have been a great breakfast. We used to love going here and now with the quality slipping so badly and their lack of concern for the customer ... I think we will look for someplace else to frequent. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! The thing is, I USED to LOVE this place, but boy has it gone DOWNHILL! & the owner/manager is definitely to blame! I went there last week with 4 friends for breakfast, & I ordered 2 ala carte pancakes! They charged me $8/pancake! Yes, they are "gourmet (granola blueberry & chocolate chip) & huge, BUT...$8/pancake...seriously? When I brought the manager in to make sure this was correct, he could not have been more of a jerk! I pointed out that on the "specials" board (which was never brought to our attention by our waitress nor was a sheet given to us with them on)....I said "here is THREE pumpkin pecan (gourmet pancakes) for $7.99! & you want to charge me $16 for TWO!!! He continued to be a jerk & took like $2 off! My friends & I have vowed NOT to return, (I will go to the other location though where they are always VERY friendly & accommodating). Also, the carafe of "gourmet coffee" I ordered was also luke warm! I also used to purchase gift cards here for teacher gifts, & I will DEFINITELY never do that again! Bye Bye Le Peep 180th & Wright! My bet is you will not be in business for long, that is, unless things change! Just SO sad that it has gone SO downhill!
