My fiancé and I went opening weekend after church so naturally I expected a few hiccups along the way as they were figuring out service and such for the first times. Le pepe is your standard step above the cheap quick diner breakfast places. They have to typical breakfast classics as well as some more refinded options as well. I do like that they have a good variety of selections as far as breakfast pancakes French toast etc go. There is a breakfast bar at the front for those that want that feeling of a small town diner and it is useful for coming by yourself or one other and not wanting to wait for a table during peak time as the seating size is somewhat limited. The food here was good but the time to get it out to tables definitely needs some work which I expect to happen as they stay open longer. I ordered the Monday blues which was loaded with blueberry compote and some granola which added a nice extra crunch. I thought the granola was kind of lacking and could use some more but it was good nevertheless. If you're looking for an affordable brunch that's actually worth paying for I would recommend checking le peep out. Delicious food. Bad service. The gentleman who served us forgot my Mimosa and it took a while to flag him down. When I reminded him he responded with "ok" and acted like I was inconveniencing him. We received our food but did not get utensils. Another server got them for us. I was also missing a part of my food. I reminded him and, again, he seemed annoyed I was asking. No apology. No thanking us for coming in. This is a new restaurant and I'd love to see it thrive, however, service really needs to improve. read more

Arriving on a Sunday morning, we thought we could be in for a wait. To our surprise, we were seated within 10 minutes. Our drinks came out promptly; HOWEVER, 50+ minutes after ordering we were still waiting on our food. 50 minutes!...we're not talking "fine dining" here. It's breakfast. The real insult to injury was the four parties of 2-4 people each seated AFTER us, had all been served their food. Waiting 50 minutes on a breakfast order is unacceptable. Multiple parties seated after us being served their food before us is unbelievable. I tipped our server generously and let her know we would not be staying. If zero stars were an option, this Le Peep would have earned it! Plenty of other breakfast and brunch options within minutes of this location. We thought this would be a great new restaurant for breakfast. There is nothing great about Le Peep. First of all, the noise was out of control. It was like eating in an airplane hangar. I was really surprised the ownership did not recognize this and put in some sort of noise baffling equipment. Next, we asked for a booth but were told that only parties of four would be seated in a booth. We counted 4 booths with 2 people dining and 2 empty booths. Meanwhile there were at least 12 people waiting to be seated. The service was neutral. The food was average. The overall experience was not good. We will never be back. I hope the owners read this and make improvements because if you don't you won't be in business very long. read more

I'm giving them 3 stars for "not that impressed". The chicken salad was boring, almost tasteless. It needed seasoning and the famous croissant, was nothing to write home about. My husband ordered a skillet, and he had the same thought. It's "ok" but was lacking Seasoning! The employees were very friendly, but it did take a bit of time for the food to arrive. Totally great food and we had great and quick service. We found a table quickly because it was only 2 of us. I would recommend a way to get on a wait list, especially for those larger groups. I know Yelp has a feature that I use with other breakfast places, so I don't have to wait. The place is very inviting and good size. The owner is a very friendly gentleman. I mentioned to him that there was no phone number to call. The owner told us it was a problem with Google...I understand, as much as Google is the fastest search engine, their service is not as fast and customer service is non existent with Google. Visited for breakfast on a Sunday. Haven't eaten there in quite awhile but had good memories of good food. So disappointed. The sauce on the eggs Benedict was orange instead of the expected yellow and not flavorful and meat had a little spicy flavor. The breakfast bowl had almost no cheese and mostly potatoes with a little bacon. Orange juice was good but bottled (got the pitcher due to price). With tip, breakfast was $40. Service was good, but WAY too expensive for a mediocre breakfast. Won't return. read more

I will first start by saying that the food was really good. The reason I have rated it 2 stars is that the customer service was very bad. We waited 30 minutes to even get our meal started. A waitress finally came just to tell us that she was trying to get the waitress that was for our table went outside. Then she finally came and got our meal started. We never got refills and were ignored. Then we had finished our meal and 20 minutes later she finally came back and asked if we needed anything. But on this Sunday we should have taken our cue to exit as we waited for our table and I noticed most people didn't have food, lots of customers w arms crossed not talking and the table closest to the door leaving as we overheard them say they'd waited 20 mins wo being seen by a server. As we ordered our server literally yelled to the kitchen to see if they could make something on the menu. We felt stuck as we were between games at the middle school nearby - and it did take forever (30+ mins for 4 scrambled eggs, pancakes and home fries). The service was incredibly slow- from taking our drink orders to actually getting drinks and then food- over 90 min and to top of off, my husband still didn't have his meal. Our whole table was done eating and he still didn't have his meal. We don't usually complain, but because we were all ready to go, we asked for his meal to be free. They said they could only give half off and was very rude to us (stating that the wait was the normal wait time for them and that should be expected). Meanwhile, I left my phone in the bathroom and then it was not there when I went back. I asked 3 different employees if anyone turned it in and everyone said no. I knew it was in the building because my watch was connected to it. So I decided to wait near the kitchen for the manager to see if she could help. This manager was standing at the register talking to our server and was talking so badly about my husband and was cussing him out to the server- even using the f word. She didn't realize I was behind her. The lady that was helping me looked at me in regards to how the manager was acting and said "it's okay" to try to redirect me. I told her that she was talking about my husband so she immediately said something to the manager. After another minute of standing there, the manager turned around in a very nasty voice yelled at my direction that the phone was in her office and then turned right back around. I have never been treated this poorly before and it was totally disrespectful and at the least unprofessional. In the end, she didn't give us the meal for free and added a 20% gratuity charge. Later she took our order. Approximately 30 min. later she came back to review our order. Said the kitchen was short of chefs, only 3 today.At 2:45 our food arrived with one order wrong, but at that point, who cares. The manager said she would give us a 10% discount. Bill came, is not without discount and waitress said it was there. Later said it was not and would refigure. We left about 3:00. I went in le peep today. It was busy so I took as a good sign. I ordered the road warrior. The French toast is bomb. I probately will not get to try a better French toast. The wait for food was long so I though I'm going to enjoy this. I also ordered biscuit and gravy.the biscuit and gravy was flavorful from the one bite. The biscuits and gravy was cold, the home fries were cold. The bacon was very crisp and cold,but I ate it because its bacon and always taste good. My eggs were cold but I ate them not sure why,im a dummy I guess. I also got a side of holidaise sauce that tasted rubbery. The service person were super sweet and gave my drinks and 25% off. Really disappointed. La Peep has a reputation for decent food. I spent $28!!! for To Go breakfast this morning. Classic Eggs Benedict with a side of link sausage and added a Caramel Macchiato when I arrived to my order. The coffee that was handed to me in a To Go cup was only 2/3 full... for $4.50. I received sausage patties instead of links. The hostess was busy texting on her phone and I had to go to her in the back service area to make the add request for the coffee. There were only two people in the entire restaurant and it was apparent her co-worker was frustrated with her ambivalence to minding the front door. Did I mention breakfast was $28? The service was like the coffee... only 2/3... and that is being generous. The food presentation was good, however the hollandaise was lackluster and could have used a hint of lemon juice or a hint of mustard to give it some flavor. Really... for the money... drive the extra 10 miles and go to First Watch. They seem to understand the exchange of value for price. read more
