The patio area is dog friendly and all of the tables are pretty spaced out making it extra comfy for everyone! The menu is limited, which isn't a bad thing - Makes deciding what to get a lot easier! We ordered the house made lox + eggs and the duck hash with salsa verde, and a side of fries. The main dishes came out a bit under seasoned but it wasn't anything a little s/p couldn't fix. The fries were delicious and has a perfect crisp. The fries paired well with the house made aioli. For 2 dishes, side of fries and a Bloody Mary it came out to just over $70 - a bit on the pricey side, but the food was fresh and the portions weren't too small. read more

This was a pit stop we made when we were driving up to the Adirondack Mountains. Line was long but went quickly, and everyone was so pleasant. The serving staff, and the host made everyone feel so welcome, ambiance is on point. Now let's talk about the food: Croissant was huge, crispy, flaky, and buttery. All that you can ask for in a croissant. The French toast came out, hot and piping. Let's say that French toast could of feed a table for four. The middle of the French toast was clustery and had the perfect consistency of a cake. I honestly believe this could of been used as a birthday cake. The croque madame had the perfect consistency and the perfect touch of saltiness. Chicken sandwiches were on point, if there is one item you get, it's the chicken sandwich. While the avocado was tasty, it was way more than needed for a slice of toast and the toast was hard and difficult to cut through. My partner did however enjoy some of the avocado with his duck hash (not pictured). He very much enjoyed his entree. I would have liked to see more options. Perfect breakfast/lunch/brunch option in Hudson! This was my first time visiting Le Perche after living in the area for over 15 years and I regret not visiting sooner! We were able to get a table easily and were sat right as we came in which is always a plus. The wait staff were all super helpful and friendly. It was gorgeous on the inside and it looks like they are building a really cool space for outdoor dining. We shared the fries and the salad as well as each getting our own croissants. My croissant was so buttery and flaky with a perfect amount of ham and cheese inside as well as the perfect crust of cheese on top. Get it warmed if you have the time. The salad had a dijony dressing which was so freakin' good! The greens were very fresh! The fries.. oh the fries. Was excited about going here during our trip to the area because of how cute it looks from photos, but within 5 min of arriving, I quickly changed my mind and realized this only looks cute from first glance. As we were being seated, I saw an enormous amount of crumbs on the bench seating, and the hostess did not try to help clear or acknowledge at all. Then as a server was trying to clear the table next to us, she spilled coffee and the spoon on the bench seat right next to me, and I was checking if it got on my clothes. She just picked up the spoon, did not acknowledge my closeness to the spill, and left pools of coffee liquid just sitting on the bench. I thought someone would promptly come over with a rag or napkin or anything to soak up the liquid that was continue to absorb into the fabric bench, but nobody came. A lady was seated at this table and she looked down at the splotches that had now fully soaked in, and she just chose to sit while very carefully avoiding it. Not sure what's happening at this place in terms of training and service, but even the man who seemed like the manager did not seem to care. No one said goodbye to use when we passed the host area, even though they saw we were leaving. While it looks pretty, I would not come back to this place or recommend to others until they have figured out their service approach. Felt sloppy and we were happy to get out of there. read more

Hubby and I along w/ our fur baby had lunch here one day during our trip to Hudson. We had a table at their pet friendly garden, it was a bit too warm on a hot day. What a terrible disappointment and, I think, a health risk. I am so sorry to report this because I so wanted to like this place. But, I really have negative things to say. I will add that I write very few one and two star reviews. So, this bad review must really be important to me. Let me start by saying it looks wonderful when you come in. There is a delicious looking collection of pastries in a glass case. The ambiance and vibe is wonderful. And, we loved the back courtyard. It was a great place for lunch. That is why there are two stars instead of one. I ordered an omelette, which the waitress described as s French omelette with French herbs and filled with garnet cheese. There was a side of salad. Now comes the crappy part. The omelette was under cooked. There was nearly raw egg inside. There was not an herb to be seen. And the cheese was a lump on one side of the omelette. So, I mentioned this to the waitress. She looked at me and didn't say a word. I asked to mention it to the chef. Not a word. I left it mostly uneaten on my plate. Not a word. Basically, she didn't care. To make matters worse, my niece ate her poached egg on spaghetti squash. About 30 minutes later, she was running to the bathroom. My wife enjoyed her meal. Le Perche is always there when we need it! For coffee or for brunch, it's got a sunny and friendly aesthetic that will make you smile. It's not hard to see why this is a Warren Street mainstay. Up until last week, I had only gone for coffee, but my fiancé raves about the Duck Confit Hash, which is apparently one of the best brunches he's ever had. On our most recent trip we were looking for something a little lighter, which is not easy to find on the menu but it exists. Came here for brunch at around 2:30/3pm on a Sunday. The space itself includes a bar and a decent amount of seating indoors, but we much prefer the backyard patio. Even on a somewhat hot summer day it's calm and comfy and there are big umbrellas to keep you shaded. I can't speak to the boozy part of brunch, but the coffee is great and the food is solid. On our most recent trip, my fiancé got avocado toast with poached eggs, while I got the poached eggs with zucchini, hazelnuts and tahini along with a small garden salad. My fiancé's last avocado toast experience was apparently a bad one (it's hard to screw up so I'm very curious about where this alleged toast was) but the now classic dish redeemed itself for him at Le Perche. As a few others have mentioned, the amount of avocado was definitely excessive. I think we could've gotten an extra piece of bread and expanded the portion with the amount of avocado overflow that was going on there. But aside from that, he absolutely loved it. My plate was good -- not outstanding but not bad -- though it was exactly what I was in the mood for. A little protein, a little healthy fat, a little vedge. It could have done with a bit more salt but that's an easy fix. Oh, and it looks pretty, which is always a plus. Service was efficient. Food came out at an appropriate pace (too fast and I'd be worried). Our server wasn't particularly chipper but I won't fault her for it and we were also hungover so it was probably for the best. read more

Not at all for me. There is a cozy dining area upstairs, however the kitchen is downstairs with no inside access to the dining area. Thus your food is walked out to the street down to the other end of the building outside and up the stairs. This does not help in keeping your food hot and mine was ice cold when it arrived. I also don't appreciate being served my food before my drinks arrive after about 25/30 minutes after ordering. Cold coffee (i guess for the same reason of journeying outside on its way to my table). No one checked back after the food was served. We sat with dirty dishes in front of us for a good 15 minutes before we had to beg for a check. The companion sitting next to my table was gross at best (wasn't able to tell someone about it because no one came to check on us). I guess I'm just not hipster enough to tolerate mediocre food and complete lack of service. read more

I got the omelette which came with a side salad and it was very simple and did not have much flavor but because I had a tummy ache from too much food the day before, it was exactly what I needed. My friend got some kind of porridge that had seafood in it I believe and she enjoyed it very much. Syrup was not too overly sweet and the toast was not drenched in syrup. Just when i thought it cant get any better, our last dish surprised us!! It was next level goodness. I went to Le Perche during Covid. And the followed all major protocols- waiters wearing masks, temperature checking, and single use utensils. The service left something to be desired. I know this place is very popular and busy but it took us a ridiculously long time to get our order taken. The food was fresh and tasty but pretty expensive for what you wind up getting . Then I asked what kind of omelets were available and there was no choice and the one offered didn't appeal to me. So I ordered the French toast. Great service and lovely food! The soft shell crab sandwich was so great and delicious. We also ordered the corn and eggs and the mix of flavors was so wonderful! The wait staff is so polite and courteous and they went out of their way to seat us under the umbrella because the sun was super harsh that day. This may be my first ever negative review on Yelp. However, due to this restaurant's lack of response to the comments that it solicited from me about our experience, I feel compelled to write one so they can hopefully improve. We waited more than 30 mins for two breakfast dishes with no explanation as to why it was taking so long to prepare. The ambience can best be described as impersonal and chaotic. When the food finally arrived, one of the dishes was cold with a poached egg that was basically hard boiled. I did not feel like waiting again so I did not say anything. To make matters worse, we discovered after we left that they overcharged us for one of our meals. I mentioned this to the restaurant in response to the comments section of the text receipt they sent me but they have not responded. We felt the food was overpriced considering the poor execution and slow, detached service. My companion described it as a place that is trying to be something that it is not and I agree. From looking at some of the less-than enthusiastic reviews of this place, a common thread I see is a gripe with the staff and their service; sadly, that was my experience at Le Perche as well. Their food is excellent (and that's why I'm giving this three stars instead of one or two---pastries are excellent, lunch entrees are tasty especially the FRENCH TOAST), but the wait staff was really unpleasant, if not, downright rude. Full-disclosure: I came with five other adults and six young children, so yes, we had a big party. However, we reserved a table in advance so our coming wouldn't be a complete surprise to them. The whole time we were there, it was kind of uncomfortable how cold they were towards us, as if we were inconveniencing them with our presence. During the meal, one of the people in our party asked our waitress for another croissant for his son; as she left the back dining room to put in the order in the front, she let out an audible "UGH" as she was walking out. Even when we left, I said "thank you, have a nice day" to some of the wait staff that served our table, and only one of them responded to me with a curt "bye" while leaning on the counter looking in some direction but at us. The restaurant wasn't very full the majority of the time we were there---We were their biggest spender by a mile, why would they be so rude to us? I get that we had six young children and maybe kids aren't really your thing, but we weren't rude to them, nor were our kids disruptive, we were happy to pay a good tip (20%+). Again, their food is excellent and props to them for that, but that wait staff... nope. read more

The croissants are so good here. It feels like I'm in Paris. Literally. I came back here twice during my stay in Hudson just for the croissants because it was SO GOOD! Service wise - I feel it could be improved a bit. But I wouldn't hold it against them because they are SUPER busy. Walk ins are really hard to get and it just feels like all the staffs are so busy (whether it's the bakery/counter or the servers inside the restaurant). I really miss eating here! The staff was always so attentive. My favorite snack to get there during mid-day is the Frites! They serve it with a house made aïoli and fresh shaved Parmesan on top.
