We got take out from this spot during COVID-times and all of our food was incredible! We were super happy with the Chinese side of the menu. We ordered the Orange Chicken, Honey Garlic Chicken, and Beef Lo Mein and everything was amazing! They also give you a side of white rice for each of the meat dishes you get. We wanted to make sure to sample a few different things and so our food was more than enough for the 2 of us. This place has great kosher Chinese- I would definitely recommend stopping by! From the outside, the restaurant is unassuming. We weren't sure about it (sushi and Chinese combo restaurants can be really hit or miss), but we decided to take a chance and I'm glad we did! The miso honey roll was really good, especially if you like a roll with a different flavor. The salmon sushi was really good and my boyfriend liked his salmon skin hand roll a lot too. The shisito peppers were pretty standard (we're not quite sure what all the hype is about anyway) but the sauce was good. We walked in right when they opened so it was pretty quiet. Service was standard, though they did push together an extra table for the two of us to make sure we had plenty of space. We're definitely looking forward to trying other items on the menu. They specialize in the Bait & Switch Roll. Was in the mood for sushi while at Ralph's who has a sushi chef but decided maybe to get it from an actual sushi restaurant. Found this place and it seemed to have a nice Lunch Special. Called and guy who answered seemed upset that i was calling in an order, oh well. Got Special C and a Rock n Roll and ordered extra wasabi. Got there and found out my order was much higher than expected. When i questioned the discrepancy I w told that the prices were probably different online.. I got the prices from THEIR website! Strike 2. Got home and received a SOGGY "Rock n Roll", no texture what's so ever. Imagine eating a roll with a consistency of a chile relleno. The Lunch C rolls weren't anything special and of course recorded no extra wasabi. To think I should have gone with the sushi from Ralph's says a lot. Won't be back and don't recommend. read more

Had to knock off a couple stars for now. Visited this place recently and it was a whole different experience. Most notably, since my last visit they replaced the pleasant and professional American hostess/waitress with an unrefined Israeli hostess. She was deeply engaged checking Facebook or whatever when I arrived and she was too bothered to get up and come greet me (the place was empty at the time). I sat at the sushi bar and when she asked me what I would like to drink I said "I'll have water please," and she asked, and I quote, "Tap water?" SO TACKY! If someone orders a water in a restaurant is the waitress seriously going to ask if it's "tap water" you want? Anyways, I said "Yes, tap water please." I placed my order with the sushi chef who turned out to be an awesome guy. Had an enjoyable conversation while I was eating, and he prepared my order super fast. Only downside is he said he's leaving Le Sushi pretty soon. As for the sushi, it was good, but just the interaction with the hostess at the beginning left such a sour taste in my mouth. Very bad food. I got the le sushi roll and caterpillar roll, and my mom got the veggie tempura roll, all of it was just mush, very bad. For her "veggie roll" all that was in it was avocado. The last time I went here the owner refused to let me switch a miso soup that came with my order for a bowl of white rice. When we got the order the owner thought better of it and let the exchange go down. Got the following rolls: Spicy Tuna - not good, put together terribly, bland taste for a SPICY roll Ninja - alright taste, yet not something I would order again, put together terribly, has a slightly crunchy texture that gives it a good mouth feel Golden Dragon - Order this. Now. It is a cooked roll, but this is the only saving grace of the night! Put together nicely, has a nice, non-greasy flavor, and it does not have a weird aftertaste. Also, no wasabi or ginger served with the sushi ... out of the thirty or so hibachi/sushi spots I have been to in my life, I have never had to ask for wasabi. And it seemed like the chef was slow to give it to us. The check comes out fast though, so a star for that in case you need to leave fast. And new update ... my wife also felt queasy after eating here. I have an iron stomach, but that bodes badly about whether we will ever go back. I live down the street from this place and it's been my spot for quite some time now. It's been my home for Sunday sushi about once every other week for at least a year now. I only eat the sushi but the menu is pretty straight-forward. Divided between your 2 piece sushi, hand rolls, simple cut rolls and the signature rolls. You really cant go wrong in any of those areas, find your poison, go to it and you shant be dissapointed. As was mentioned in the only other review here, it's kosher so there will be some notable absences from the menu, but I assure you that you wont even notice because there's so much other good stuff. If you're worried about risking 12 bucks on a signature roll that you don't like, might I suggest either the ninja roll or the crunch roll? Both are exquisite. As far as the environment, the place is almost always packed with neighborhood folk which primarily consists of people whom are native of Israel. The place can feel loud and cramped which makes it not ideal for a date, at least not a first date. Maybe later in the relationship but certainly not early. A good place to dine with friends though. You can relax, talk, get a little loud and not worry about bothering other people most of the time because of the environment. All in all, this place is one of the best arguments for me not to move from down the street and if you like sushi, you'd do well to give it a shot. read more

I try not to be too negative with reviews, but this place really did me in. When I say "did me in", I mean this place sent me to the freaking hospital... literally. This review is very much long overdue, but not too long ago, my wife and I wanted to try a new sushi place, and so we Yelped around our area. Saw this place had 4 stars, and figured why not. The food itself was alright (at the time). Nothing special. I would have given this place probably 2 (maybe 3 if being very generous) stars on the food alone. What happened to me later that night and the entire next day was something very new to me. (SPOILER ALERT: The rest of this paragraph is not for the squeamish). I woke up in the middle of the night with my stomach hurting... after an hour, I was able to fall back asleep, but the moment I woke up in the morning, I had to run to the bathroom to "pray to the porcelain gods". I was hugging that toilet like this was our 3rd date. It got so bad that I called off work and drove myself (barely) to the emergency room where I proceeded to throw up 4 more times while in the waiting area, and twice more while I was being hooked up to IVs to get pumped with whatever the hell they pumped me with to wash out the toxins of this food-poisoning. This was the first (and hopefully last) time I got food poisoning, but one thing for sure is that I won't be coming back to this place. So to all you sushi-goers, proceed with caution. read more

Crazy. I've lived right down the block from this place for 5 years and have never tried it!?! I always was scared of "Burbank Blvd Sushi" for obvious reasons.... but boy was I wrong! After seeing all these yelp reviews, we gave it a try tonight. Had an AMAZING dinner for only $41! Thats a great price for me and husband to get stuffed on yumz. The Smoked Salmon hand roll was simply perfect. Add the soy paper upgrade and you've got yourself one hell of a sushi snack. The prices were right on and everything was perfectly fresh.
