I had heard that this was one of the best Thai places in town and I agree! To start, this isn't a big place and it can get busy with a wait. Even the bar seats, you do need to check with the hostess. I hear there's a Happy Hour as well from 4-6pm so that's a good time to check it out. I went for dinner and sat at the bar. The bartender Manny is super nice, attentive, and was great! The vibe is cool in here. I had the Short Rib Fried Rice and added an egg. The menu says it's one of their special items so I had to try it. The sauce that comes with the fried rice is delicious! It reminds me of a meat gravy and I poured it on the fried rice. It was very good! The Ga Pow is your thai basil dish that you'll see on Thai menus. This was the best one I've had! The flavor was so good, the basil was fragrant. I got this dish with chicken and they use ground chicken and the texture was great. It comes with a choice of white or brown rice. This dish also comes with an egg on top. I ended with Fried Bananas. The bartender asked if I wanted to pair it with sticky rice but I already had a fried rice and a side of white rice so I was getting full. I just got the bananas and they come in a crisp wrapper, fried beautifully and it tasted like a condensed milk type of accompanying drizzle. It was a great way to end the meal! The food here is reliably tasty and service is fast. I love their lunch specials, perfect amount for middle of the day. Dinner portions are very generous. I'm vegetarian so very pleased they can make everything with tofu. Good beer selection at the bar and friendly, efficient bartenders. We've been there 4 or 5 times and only once was there an error with our order. We brought it to the server's attention and it was immediately fixed. Got to be treated. The weather is gorgeous and we came here for some great food and great customer service. I can not recommend the Short-rib fried rice enough. Service was ok. It was a long wait so the expectation probably built up for great food. It was one of the most disappointing food experience for me. Pad Thai - 1/5. The ground chicken was throwing me off and then it was kind of too wet. The flavors didn't really taste like pad Thai. Tasted very vinegary. Pork belly - 3/5. I was expecting the skin to be super crispy. This was probably the best thing we had though. Short rib friend rice (their signature per our server) - 2/5. Oily mess. None of these really hit the spot, sadly. It was recommended by a friend too, which is extra disappointing. These items all have similarity to 8 East's menu. I'd recommend trying that instead. Very attentive.. we got the pork belly appetizer which was amazing and the highly suggested short rib fried rice with an egg which was amazing. I got level 2 heat because the guy next to me said 1 was hot bit should have got lever 3. Benji suggested trying a little Chilli pepper which is level 4. I was traveling alone and decided to venture outside of El Cortez for lunch and was heading to get something to eat and came upon Le Thai and decided to pop in on a Monday since it was lunch time and there was a lunch special menu. I asked the hostess if I can peek at the menu and although the lunch specials were limited in choices than other Thai restaurants I've visited , I liked that they had a drink included as part of the special. I opt for Thai tea for an extra upgrade of $2,50 . All the lunch specials are pretty much $13.50 without upgrades but shrimp will run you $2 extra. There are a few curries to choose, however I decided on the eggplant stir fry with shrimp and holy Jesus it had so much flavor!! The portion size is perfect for lunch. You can select white rice or upgrade for fried rice or something else I believe. Anyhoo I throughly enjoyed my unexpected and unplanned meal here ! I would give it a 4.8 out of 5 for food and 5 plus for customer service ! I would definitely come here again. The plus is I sat at the bar and Pedro was working ...super inviting, nice, friendly and very customer service oriented with all customers . The kind of service you enjoy and which is rare nowadays. He was manning the entire bar area by himself too!! Kudos to him! Stop by as he is awesome. Service is quick and prices fair. My go to whenever I am in Vegas. There are two locations. Short Rib Fried Rice is so craveable; it's why I go back. Had the Drunken Noodles with chicken too. Another yummy dish. What's not to love about this spot? I have been here a few times now and I have loved each of my experiences. I have met a number of interesting people dining here and the servers/bartenders were also great. they were always so cheery and chatty, but not overly so. the food has always been really good. this isn't an upscale place at all. it's more of a come as you are type of place. I like that about this spot too. you don't have to be dressed up or anything fancy. I love that you can eat and take your time. you will not be rushed out or anything like that. the staff are so sweet and will really take good care of you. the dining room is so cute with their cute paintings and hanging lights. I love the ambiance. it feels like a cute creative space. portions here are not as generous as some other spots that I have been to in Las Vegas but they aren't small either. I've dined here with as few as one other friend and up to 10 other friends. we all order one dish each and share everything. it tends to be more than enough for all of us. nobody leaves hungry but we tyowially don't have any left overs either. Thankfully we beat the lunch rush on a Saturday. Been wanting to try this place out for a long time and it did not disappoint. We were able to get a table as soon as we were greeted. Cute place, we walked past the kitchen counter, right across from it is the bar sitting area. Place is lively, for a smaller area, it has lots of natural lighting. We ordered: Thai style honey garlic wings- Crispy. Was hoping for more of the fish sauce/umami flavor and some heat. Pork belly bacon - twice cooked made the pork belly so soft and tender, then fried nice and crispy. Tamarind sauce complimented this dish so well. Located in downtown Fremont--so be prepared for street parking or paying for parking in the lot! Highly recommend making a reservation, as this place is always busy. Honestly all the dishes were so good and tasty! My favorite were the chicken wings and awesome noodles. The wings were fried perfectly with a very unique taste with a a really good dipping sauce; not sure how to describe it but it was so good! The awesome noodles had a lot of bean sprouts and it was just such a good noodle dish. The garlic fried rice was a solid fried rice and very flavorful! The pad see ew I was a bit disappointed with because it's not as charred as I like and didn't have as much egg in it so I wasn't a huge fan of theirs, which was a bummer because my go to dish is usually a pad see ew at Thai restaurants. We ordered spice level 3 for all and none of the dishes were spicy at all, so next time I might try level 4 or 5 :) Overall I liked the ambiance and the cocktails and food were all delicious. It's a great spot on Fremont St. Great seating and fun atmosphere. They always have a great cocktail menu and seasonal cocktails. You have to start out with the Crispy Spring rolls. They are just like I said. C R I S P Y! So good. The Waterfall Beef is also a must. The sticky rice with it..... yum! The sauces they give are so good with it. Chicken satay is another fav. One of my favorite Thai spots! I used to go to the one on Charleston a lot! Just so happened to be in the area and friends wanted some Thai food. I rarely go downtown. When I saw Le Thai was an option, I was game. What really got me going as a repeat, would be the three color curry! So I already knew what I was getting. The three color curry! What can I say, it hit the spot! The creaminess of it, good amount of vegetable and chicken. I ended up added the chili flakes cause I wanted mine a little more spicier than I ordered. Didn't want to order too spicy where I couldn't handle it or enjoy it. Finished it all! Best is when you soak the rice in this goodness. Just enough to where the rice still holds and doesn't become mush. Got mango sticky rice at the end and when we ordered that, another good friend walked in with his girl. Ended up getting him a spiked Thai ice tea and got one for myself. Definitely recommended! Still have the Thai tea taste with a little kick to it. Service was great! We started off with rangoons that were sheer perfection- nice crunchy exterior with a light creamy warm center and a tasty plum sauce. I think I could have eaten 10 more!! For my main, I tried the special, Crab Curry- yes please!! 4 oz of fresh crab meat in a panang curry with bamboo, carrots, and bell pepper. The short rib fried rice is better than David Chang's with 10% of the price of Majordomo. Perfect amount of heat. I never thought I could be impressed with the execution of a crab rangoon but that dish with the spicy plum sauce is craveworthy. The sauce for the fresh spring roll is perfect and a unique take I can't describe. You could tell from the color of the sauce that it has some extra flavors other than peanut sauce. Stopped by for a late lunch on a weekday and we were immediately seated. It's a pretty neat place inside with tons of greenery and wall decor to look at. Since we came during weekday lunch hours, they did have a lunch special menu which is basically some of the entrees at a discount of a few dollars. I opted for the lunch special ga pow ($12) with chicken as my protein, and spice level 2 out of 5. My partner got one of their signature dishes, the short rib fried rice ($18), and we also shared the waterfall beef ($15) as an appetizer. We both really enjoyed the waterfall beef, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Coupled with the accompanying sticky rice and side of waterfall sauce, it was a great starter. In terms of the ga pow, I've had better. There was no spice to it whatsoever, it tasted more like a 0/5 than a 2/5 on their spice scale. Same with the short rib fried rice. I also think the ga pow could have used a lot more Thai basil, as I didn't really notice any in the dish? It was a nice sized portion though. Overall I felt flavors were a bit mild/muted but so I think next time, I'd order some of their spicier curries or soups (or maybe even the larb!) in hopes of finding something that packs more flavor. read more

In Vegas looking for a good simple meal and quick. Le Thai was suggested by waiters we met this weekend and they were right. They have two locations, the Charleston Street being more of a takeout hot spot. This place was humming with Uber drivers lining up. We ordered the cucumber salad, 10 / 10 with thicker slices than normal, red onions and peanuts. The awesome noodles with chicken was surprising and a new favorite dish packed with a unique taste profile (10 / 10). Our final dish was the 3 color curry with chicken ( 9/ 10). The spice level was perfect and the mixed curries were a first for us. The staff was very attentive but not overbearing. On our next trip we will try the Fremont location as it has more of a sitdown environment. This place is a real gem and should be on your give them a chance list. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, this is NOT the spot. We came here because of its high ratings, but found ourselves in a gentrified, fusion restaurant. We had our doubts but ordered the boat noodles, pad kee mao, and pad Thai anyways. We asked the waitress if they used any instant seasoning and she said no. The boat noodles came out and had no true boat noodle taste. It tasted like a Thai derivative of Vietnamese pho. Then, the pad Thai came out. It did not look like the typical pad Thai. Instead, it looked like a stir-fry with different colors of veggies and what not. At the bottom of that plate was a pool of sauce/liquid. Lastly, the pad kee mao landed on our table. That was probably the most authentic dish, but still there was little to no resemblance of authentic Thai. Nevertheless, the service was good and the environment was nice.
