Used DoorDash to order from here so can I can not comment on the tea. We ordered the Bee's Knees milk tea with boba and Viet Coffee with Boba. Definitely by the recommendation of some Yelpers unsweetened is the way to go as it was still quite sweet without sweetener. I say the drink is quite refreshing and boba was a little mushy but not bad. I like firm boba. Viet coffee was strong but like BLK dot better. But definitely good it you're craving Coffee at a boba place. Overall decent but of all the places I've been to I would say average. read more

Prelims 4/5: the interior is nice and clean with plenty of seating. Decor is very boba tea shopp-y: bright, decently loud music bumping, uncomfortable chairs, etc. Parking is ok - when we came on the weekend, there were lots of spots available (except the jerk that was parked in front of spot causing traffic, not in the spot - you're not so special, Cadillac!) but I can see how it could get crowded since there's a decent number of stores there. Price is decent for what you get but I can see people think they're overpriced. Size of the boba cups are quite tall and somewhat narrow - seems more than the usual. Drink 4/5: got the mermaid and a fan that they have the cream and non-dairy soy option. Really tasty - super creamy, sweet, and nice hint of all the different flavors. Definitely a dessert drink. Service 4/5: order upfront, wait for them to call your number, get your drink. standard operation, not too fast but not slow at all. Solid job. And the restroom is clean, so they probably do it pretty often. TL;DR Mermaid is delicous. If sweet is your thing, head on over. read more

Leaf N Cream is great so I don't understand what the people giving this place 3 stars are even talking about. I got the simple milk tea with boba and it tasted really good. The milk tea was not bland at all or watered down and the boba was soft. I wish it was a little softer though. This is the first customizable boba place that I've been too and this definitely will not be my last time visiting Leaf N Cream. For $3.50 (a great price!) I got a regular 24oz drink with a black tea base, a rose and peach flavoring (even though you can choose up to 3), and milk with normal sweetness. If you want add ons like boba or aloe it's an extra 50 cents. It took me a while to order since there were so many flavors to choose from! Once I did order they made it in a jiffy and I was happy to have my drink in hand in under 3 minutes. I liked the drink a lot and the ice to drink portion was awesome! I probably should have gotten less sweet because it was too sugary for my taste and I ended up asking for more ice anyway lol. My cousin ordered their taro ice cream which wasn't too bad. The cafe is quite cute and I love how they have wifi! The password is "thebobaologist". The customizable factor of Leaf N Cream is unique and fun. I wanted boba in the area and this was among one of the highest reviewed on Yelp so I went with this one. Ordered a Honey Milk Tea and Swirl Thai. Cup size was bigger than most places for a small. I hated both drinks though. The Honey Milk Tea was so very bland and watery. It barely had any sweetness to it (got normal sweetness). The Swirl Thai looked like the Thai Tea at Omomo but it was so disappointing. The Thai tea itself tasted artificial. I thought the cream swirl was cream or cheese but the texture was weird. Bit chunkier than creamy. It tasted kind of like mung bean more than cream or cheese. The Swirl Thai lid was not secure either. The Honey Milk tea lid was fine but the Thai one kept coming off when I held it to drink. I was scared it was going to fall and spill everytime I held it. I had to keep adjusting it. Drinks weren't good so not coming here again. read more

They have a cute menu of specialty drinks in addition to the standard bubble tea flavors. I always get Ms. Strawberry or The Mermaid, which is definitely Instagram worthy. Sometimes there is a line, but they manage to fulfill orders very quickly and are always upbeat and friendly. I've seen them dealing with a difficult customer and they stayed so patient and were able to explain the menu to them. Even if I didn't live so close I would still want to continue to visit this place to get my boba fix! read more

My postmate driver never delivered my order, which I understand it is not Leaf N Cream's fault. First time here, I'm usually in Fullerton area at ShareTea or Kung Fu Tea, but was in the area and thought I'd give this place a try. On arrival, I thought the place had a nice relaxing atmosphere. Calm music playing and not bright. I ordered the jasmine milk tea, light sweet, with boba and milk pudding. On the menu board it says "Milk?" And gives the choice of gluten free, lactose free milk. I asked the cashier if it was powder and she said yes. Asked if I could customize for regular milk, unfortunately she said they don't have regular milk, just the powder. :( Normally I wouldn't order it if it was powder.. but I was still in the middle of asking questions and she had given the other girl my order already and the other girl started making it. I'm all for quick service, but what if I changed my order? Just didn't seem to make sense. I felt pressured to sticking with my order so I paid and grabbed my drink which was already done and on the counter. Flavor-wise the tea was still too sweet for me even at light sweet. I had just finished a milk tea at the sandwich place next door at reg sweet and even that wasn't as sweet. Overall, Good atmosphere and customer service... drink quality and customization not great. The milk tea here is good, although a little sweet for my taste. I'll have to order less sweet when I order next time. They also have good boba quality, which I appreciate. One thing that always bothers me is that they'll leave the cup so far empty when you order with no ice. I can understand that they are filing it up with less since there was no ice. However since I paid extra to get boba, I feel that I ended up with less tea then I would've gotten normally. I'll have to reconsider coming here next time. Although I enjoy their drinks and boba, I don't like feeling shorted with my drinks. This has been a regular occurrence (not just a one time issue). Other boba shops will fill the drink up to the top when getting it without ice, and I'll take my business there instead. Edit: I noticed that a previous reviewer also remarked that the drinks are filled considerably less than full when you order a drink without ice. I used to at a boba shop and as a bartender and it is not that hard to adjust proportions based on how much ice a person orders. In my case I ordered the Jasmine milk tea with regular sweetness. There should have been no reason why that was not filled to the top because of a "ratio" that needs to be followed. This is the only boba shop that I know of (and I've been to basically all of them in OC) that will leave a milk tea that empty. Other shops will either just fill it to the top, or they will offer to top it off with tea. Either option would have been much better than leaving it empty by a third. read more

I come here once in awhile since it's right next to one of my favorite fast food Vietnamese places. On all the times I've been here, have to admit that the boba has been consistently good. It is cooked just right, chewy and tasty. The service has also been good. They really try to make your drink to your liking. They also have a good mix of flavors to choose from. So why not 5 stars? I have to say it's because of the extra $.50 added for boba. Not because I'm being cheap, but because I'm used to prices that already include the boba. I know not everyone likes boba. I agree with charging extra, but maybe the store can advertise prices that already include boba, and if a customer opts to not have, then discount the price by $.50? It's basically the same thing, but by advertising in this manner, it prepares the customer for worst case scenario... Just an idea. read more

Great boba compared to a lot of other spots around. I like the variety of the menu here. I went with the Vietnamese coffee with boba and it was super delicious. Also helped me get through my afternoon! The two ladies working the counter were also super friendly and helpful. We had a big order and they made our drinks as we ordered them. We were in and out in no time. A big plus for the rewards card. Love the layout here. I'll definitely come back here and try something else. read more

Drink 5/5 The drink I got was really good. It was something with sea salt, but I don't exactly remember which one I had gotten. I usually get mine less sweet, and I felt like they did a good job with that. Other times, other Boba shops don't get the sweetness the way I would want it. It's usually always too sweet. I'd say they did it well here. Service 5/5 My girlfriend and I had a hard time deciding what we were going to get. The cashier was patient with us, which was nice. Simple clean place. Let's start with the parking. Depending on the day and the time, there's usually space. Sometimes a little far from the actual location. But still good. What did I get? I got the sunset. Good stuff. Not too sweet. You can def customized the drinks so do it if you don't like stuff too sweet. I like their rose vanilla green milk tea. Just stopped by here! Decided to come here after being recommended by a friend and also seeing pretty pictures on Yelp. Appearance: The store is extremely clean and well-kept. The restroom is also extremely clean. Lol, major plus for me!! The cleanliness of a business almost always indicates the quality of the products. It's also pretty nicely decorated inside so it's perfect for those who want to take pictures of their food. There are plenty of seats for people to just stay and hang out/study. The place just screams brand new establishment which isn't a bad thing! Games too! 5/5 Staff: I had a difficult time making a decision and the girl behind the register was very patient. She let me take my time to observe the vast menu. 5/5 Selection: Very large selection of drinks. There are so many different and interesting tea flavors that you can create your own tea with. Some of the unorthodox flavors include: tiramisu, toasted marshmallows, pumpkin spice, peppermint. This is a fun concept, but I'd recommend following the pre-designed teas. You could easily go wrong with customizing your drink (*cough cough* peppermint, pineapple, and lychee like my friend did....). Delicious!! I love lychee jelly, and have tried both more firm and more soft textures in milk tea. Leaf N Cream has one of the best ones I've tried- pretty firm but with enough chew, very fragrant with a strong and sweet lychee flavor. yum. I added it to my Honey Milk Tea for just $0.55 and the two paired great together. The honey flavor was noticeably present and at normal sweetness plus jelly it was not overly sweet. They really pay attention to their drinks and I was very impressed; mine was very delicious :) They have reasonable prices and the interior vibe is cute and teahouse. I got the mango milk green tea w taro. How this place does it is: 1. There are many flavors to can choose ie mango, blackberry, honey vanilla... and you get to pick up to three flavors. 2. Do you want black or green tea 3. add milk or no 4. Add whatever topping you want, and the first one is free. So i really wanted the taro topping.. but i didn't see any 3 flavors matching up with it so I just went with simple mango. The people here were really nice and answered any questions we had, and they also let us try some ice cream as well. With my 10% check in, i went w the large and holy it is a large cup. The drink was good although I probably wouldn't go with the taro next time. The weird thing was, they were these huge chunks that you wouldn't have been able to suck them through a straw. I didn't know the taro pieces were that big until I finished my drink and saw them there. I had to take off the top off my drink in order to finish the big chunks of taro. I was able to create my own green tea drink with peach, lychee, and mango flavors, and added boba. My friends got the green tea rancho?, coffee, and sunset trio. Woohoo, another boba place in Tustin!! Good for my taste buds, bad for my wallet and waistline. This shop opened about two weeks ago and offers customizable teas. From the menu board you choose black or green tea as the base, your flavorings, add-ins (like taro or boba), level of sweetness, and if you want milk. I appreciate being able to adjust the level of sweetness and feel the light sweetness option is plenty sugary for me. So far everything has been really good and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I'm giving four stars instead of five because: - the interior design is not finished yet - the tea options are limited to black or green tea, unlike some tea shops that offer herbal tea drinks too (I'm not suggesting they go crazy with a huge menu though) - I'm not sure how consistent things will be yet I'll definitely be back for more tea and can recommend Leaf N Cream to others. My husband got some drinks here mainly green tea with passion fruit flavor and unsweetened with lychee jelly. The tea is a little inconsistent. On some days the green tea is pretty great and but on some days it feels a bit water down and I won't taste any green tea at all.
