Their 5-star rating is well-deserved! These boxes are absolutely worth the rental price - they're durable, close nicely, stack beautifully, and fit an impressive amount of stuff inside. There's no need for tape or labels, because each box comes fitted with a dry-erase label, and they provide the dry-erase marker. We saved SO much time compared to our last move with traditional cardboard boxes. Our movers were very happy with the experience, too! The delivery woman was also extremely patient, prompt, and friendly. She arrived a little earlier in the day than I expected and had to wait a few minutes for me to retrieve the boxes on account of my being dead asleep. When it was time to pick up the boxes a week later, she arrived during the window I expected, but due to sleeping right through my alarm, I was unconscious AGAIN! And yet, she didn't seem the least bit annoyed, even though she would have had every right lol. Great experience from start to finish. As everyone has said, Leafy is a GAME. CHANGER. Everyone hates moving. We hate to see it. We dread it. Especially because we have moved multiple times within the past two years. So when it came time to move AGAIN, I was determined to not have to buy a bunch of cardboard boxes for a move that was a short distance. I thought there MUST be rentable moving boxes. And that's how I found Leafy. And they changed EVERYTHING. I got the Studio package and I cannot believe how amazing it was to fit everything in those green bins and how EASY IT WAS to transport!!!! Even small items that didnt fit, we just put the open container on top of a couple boxes and pushed them on and off the elevators and easily offloaded. I can't recommend Leafy enough for a quick and easy way to get moving boxes. I realized that one of the most stressful parts of moving is going to buy a ton of cardboard boxes (or scrounging around to find free ones), building all of them, having to get more packing tape, then having to break them down and figure out what to do with them. Leafy solves all these pain points and offers a more sustainable way to move your stuff! I rented 50 large boxes (what they suggest for a 2-bed apt) and it was the perfect amount, with just a few extra. It was nice not to have to cram each box because we had plenty. The staff dropped it off to us in a pre-assigned delivery window and easily rolled them in on the three included dollies. I also purchased a mattress cover and bubble wrap but without that the total came out to $169 for a week rental, which I think is the same price or better than getting all the supplies myself. When the time came to pick up, it was as easy as the drop off. It was by far the least stressful part of moving, and anyone that can help reduce the stress of moving deserves five stars in my book. Ordered 50 boxes for 2 weeks and this was hands down the best decision. The boxes are sturdy, so they were easy to stack and I didn't waste time building boxes. Nothing got broken during the move! The best part is they come and take them away when you're done. So you don't have to find something to do with all of the cardboard boxes at the end. The move was exhausting. I used Leafy a couple years back and just ordered from them again for my most recent move. They show up on time and are very friendly (there is also a great tracking tool to see exactly when they arrive). Such a better option versus cardboard boxes.

Will never go back to regular boxes after using Leafy for a move. Not only are these boxes sturdy and so easy to cart around because they stack so well, but they force you to unpack because you have to give them back! If you're like me, you let boxes of crap pile up for weeks before unpacking because moving is such a pain. And I love the idea of reusable items, especially when it's done so well. Our movers even commented on how they wish more people used these types of boxes. You stack them up on a dolly as tall as you want and they move so easily. We have a two bedroom apartment and we ordered the package for a two bedroom (50 crates), but if you're like me and just have so much STUFF (collectible items, random crap, camping equipment, etc.) I would get more than that. It's no fault on Leafy, we just have a crazy amount of stuff for a two bedroom. Next time we'll do a three bedroom package. The Leafy team was so helpful from the jump and the dropoff and pickup could NOT have been easier. They even gave us a few extra days with them at no cost because our pickup date fell on Jan. 1. Will definitely use them for every move and will recommend them to anyone who mentions they are moving. read more

This is my second time moving homes (and hopefully last) and used Leafy Moving Boxes again! We had a great experience the first time and did not hesitate to use them again. It reduces the hassle of having to to build boxes, use tape, etc...They promptly delivered the plastic totes in the delivery window and made it easy for me to extend the rentals for the extra days I needed. Very easy to reserve boxes on-line. The site has a nice section to add-on other items such as zip ties, mattress protectors, and wardrobe boxes. I highly recommend getting zip ties if you are moving with these boxes because tape may not secure the lid if the box tips over for some reason. Delivery was on-time in the two-hour window provided. Unfortunately there's no option to pick the delivery/pick up time. The delivery team were great and helped roll the boxes into the old place and cart them away from the new place. I didn't have to worry about breakdown boxes after I unpacked. The interior of the boxes came nice and clean. The boxes stack nicely which helps the movers load and unload quickly. I recommend getting a few large size boxes for your larger items. I wasn't able to fit everything in the one size I ordered. read more

Leafy saved us SO much time with our move, I will never again move without Leafy! The boxes were a total game changer, they are the perfect size so that your things stay well organized and not having to construct and then deconstruct dozens of boxes saved so much time. Absolutely crucial to making our move painless. Because my partner was in finals and I was out of the country we ordered the boxes for 3 weeks. Two weeks in we realized we'd need more boxes -- but we were one day out from our move. I called to see if possibly I could drive to their office to pick up more (and was googling where I could buy cardboard boxes assuming it was just way too late). Instead they dropped 10 more boxes off -- within the hour! Our movers (who had no connection to the company) commented frequently about how much faster the move was and how much better protected our stuff was and how much less extra packaging we had to pay for. I hate moving. This was my 19th move in the past 20 years, including cross country and international moves, so I'd say though that I've gotten pretty good at it. I decided to try Leafy to see if it would reduce any grief, and can absolutely say that it did. First, I love the fact that the crates are perfectly stackable and fit perfectly on the dollies. It saved a ton of room while packing to be able to stack the crates along a hallway corridor without worrying about the bottom boxes getting crushed. It also made the moving easier for the moving company that we were paying by the hour. Second, the delivery was easy and painless, with awesomely strong women delivering the crates on time and efficiently. Third, when they delivered the 50 crates for our 2 bedroom condo I thought it would be WAY too many, but ended up realizing that we could have actually used more, so don't be shy about choosing the larger option. The next time we move, I'll probably order a couple of the extra large crates in addition to fit the bigger or awkward shaped items that *just* barely didn't fit in the uniform crates. The only downside to using Leafy though, is that it's really easy to pack stuff in the crates, which means that it's easy to keep a bunch of junk that you otherwise may have thrown away/donated. From booking through delivery and pick up Leafy was an incredibly easy vendor to schedule, pay and interact with online and in person. The boxes were pristinely clean. I saved a considerable amount of waste by using this service plus their boxes are sturdy and a good size for household objects and folded clothes. In retrospect I would've rented additional dollies because having all my bins ready to roll in stacks of three would have sped up my actual moving day. Short version: WINS ALL AROUND. Leafy boxes saved us money, reusable/saves the environment, stackable (I don't have to worry about things breaking!), we use so much less tape, and don't have to deal with collapsing and disposing of 50+ cardboard boxes!!! Boxes arrived on time, were clean, in great shape, and the dolly made it super easy to move a big stack around. What's not to love? ------------- Moving is a pain. I hate, hate, hate moving. So after we finally signed a lease on our new place, I spent a good several days figuring out the movers situation (I was 8.5 months pregnant at the time of the move, we DEFINITELY need the packing/moving help!), and then found out that most moving companies charge something like $5 per box--which seemed ridiculous! I was also still stinging from our last move, when we had to figure out how to collapse and recycle our million cardboard boxes. Enter Leafy! I actually found another box rental company first, and then realized they don't operate in Southern California...so did some searching for local options, and came across Leafy. After a few emails back-and-forth, we set a date to get the boxes the day before the movers would come. They did specify that I would be given a 2-hr delivery window the day before the boxes would be delivered--and around 2 pm, when I hadn't heard from them, I called their offices and was given a delivery window. A small extra step that probably wasn't necessary, but I was very nervous about the move! The boxes arrived during the delivery window, and I also got an updated ETA via text about 30 minutes before they arrived. Esme was so sweet--she moved some of the boxes into shorter stacks, so I wouldn't have to struggle to get the boxes! I actually didn't count the boxes when they were delivered, but luckily they did deliver all 50. The move went super smoothly, and I noticed that the movers use so much less tape with the Leafy boxes than the few cardboard ones we did use. We weren't left labels, but the movers labeled the tape, which made it super easy to make sure all the boxes were in the right rooms. Boxes stacked well, and were super easy for everyone! We unpacked quickly, so that we could return the boxes within 7 days--and when I wasn't given a pickup window, I called (and texted) to see what was going on. Turns out, they pick up on the 8th day, so you get the full 7 days of use--which is super nice of them, and worked for us! They came in the given 2-hr pick up window (again with a text with an updated ETA around 15 minutes before they arrived). We plan to use Leafy for our future moves (which will be at least 2 years from now)--they are so great! read more

We rented moving boxes from Leafy for a crosstown move and will never buy another carboard moving box again. Their containers are sturdy, stackable, and uniform size. There is no need for tape and extensive packing materials to protect your things. I spent twice as much on boxes on our last move, and it was a big headache, breaking down boxes and figuring out what to do with them after with the move. Leafy Moving Boxes was the BEST thing that I have ever done with a move. First of all their customer service is great for any questions, with drop-off and pick up. Second, not having to build or break down boxes made the move that much easier. No annoying tape guns and no horrible removal of cardboard. ***AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!**** If you do yourself one favor in your lifetime, it would be to steer one thousand miles away from Leafy. First, it was almost impossible to reach them. Emails, phone calls (two of them), then a Yelp message (in which I asked "Are you guys still in business?") finally resulted in a call back. The woman on the phone inexplicably, and weirdly defensively, said "I didn't see any missed calls." Okay.....? So the morning came for my delivery. When the company sent me an ETA of 9am, but didn't show up, I called to find out what had happened. Guess what? The company mixed up the pick up and drop off addresses. That's right, they delivered the boxes eight miles away from where they were supposed to. Mix ups happen. I get it. But the woman on the phone refused to take any responsibility for the problem, blaming me entirely (she said "you confirmed via email!" No, actually, I didn't.... I didn't receive any email). I asked her to bring the boxes to my actual drop off location, but she refused to do that until the end of the day - again, refusing to accommodate me, and refusing to accept any responsibility for the problem. When I became upset and told her that my entire day of moving would be impacted, and literally begged her for her help (trying to prevail on her humanity).....rather than seeing if she could shift things around or otherwise help me, she essentially told me to f*ck off. I am still shaking with anger, nearly in tears. This company deserves to go out of business, and I'm sure it will in due course. read more

I highly recommend Leafy Moving Boxes for your next move! The 25 box, 1 week option was perfect for my 1 bedroom. I did feel a bit rushed to pack and unpack within that timeframe, however knowing I had to return the bins in a timely manner forced me to not procrastinate! The durable bins/boxes are a good size & I liked having all my items in uniform boxes that were just deep enough for some of those awkward sized items. Just a tidbit of advice...I packed a handful of traditional boxes with items I knew I wouldn't need to unpack right away (i.e. books, knick knacks, seasonal items) so I could get to those later after all the bins cleared in my new place.
