Wow, wow, wow The best I've ever had and I've had a lot. Tired of sugar being the main flavor in pastries? This is the place for an eclair with the freshest most creamy flavors with good quality chocolate. I also had the flakiest, most buttery biscuit. It was so satisfying it did not need anything else but the pure biscuit. Great ambiance to enjoy the items that you can tell are made with love and attention. Will definitely make it a ritual every time I'm in town. It's a must.

Leah's is straight from a story book!! The inside smells incredible. They serve cookies, cupcakes, custom cakes, and tasty breakfast sandwiches. I go to bed excited every Tuesday knowing I can get iced coffee Wednesday at Leah's. Nicole and the whole team are lovely. One of my favorite places in the world!!

Went close to a time they were closing so I didn't get much to eat as they were sold out of most of the pastries. We went with a cup cake and chicken pot pie. They were good and wouldn't say they are the best I have eaten and thereby the 4 stars. Maybe I will have to get their early in the day and may be ill update my review. It's great to see a local business thriving with a good location close to a bike path which takes you to the round lake.

Super disappointed with this bakery. I've been wanting to come here for a long time and I usually can never get there on time (closes early) to stock up for later in the day when my sweet cravings actually kick in. Nonetheless when I found myself in the vicinity of the cakery I had to stop. They were almost closing, duh! They were sold out of most cupcakes so I had very few choices to pick from, I tried the hazelnut cupcake which is possibly what I would have picked even otherwise. I was so excited to take the first bite but to my disappointment it was cold, hard,dry and crumbly. Not what I expected....Such a let down.

I've wanted to visit Leah's Cakery for over a year. The Cakery is along the Zim Trail that I run frequently and I often see the Cakery and the long lines that form outside. I never stopped in, but on Saturday after my 5-mile run, I saw the long line and thought why not. I got in line with my music and my headphones and waited. The cakery only allows one person in at a time with a mask on so that contributes to the long line. I was at the end of the line but by the time I got to the door, the line was back to the parking lot again. Once I got in I could see the desserts and pastries to purchase the server was friendly and answered all of my questions. I got a chocolate cupcake with strawberry filling and strawberry cream icing as well as a vanilla cake with ganache filling. I also got a cup of coffee. I typically smell the coffee when I'm out running and was excited to taste it. The desserts were good, but the chocolate cupcake was a bit dry. I'll be back to try some of the other desserts.

Leah's made the most unique wedding "cake" of our dreams, a cinnamon bun cake! As soon as we started wedding planning, we knew if Leah's could make this dream possible, it would be perfection. Everyone who is local to the Capital Region knows how incredible Leah's cinnamon buns are, and now our out of town friends and family do too. The tiers were made of mini cinnamon buns with full size buns served for dessert. Extras were enjoyed all weekend! People still talk about our delicious wedding "cake". We can't recommend working with Leah and her team highly enough. Every anniversary we'll be enjoying a fresh cinnamon bun to relive the memories all over!

Don't tell my wife I ate the eclair before she got home! ;-) Extra icing for the buns.

Well, it's taken me five years to get around to visiting Leah's. Please forgive me. Maybe my penance should be weekly visits for the next five years, and say, three cinnamon buns, two éclairs and a box of other assorted pastries. It was James and Amy D.'s reviews that shamed me into making a special trip to visit this lovely bakery. Of course they were not the only ones to rave about the luscious pastries to be found here, virtually every reviewer has given the maximum number of stars. All the tables were occupied with friendly looking people and the display cases were still overflowing with goodies calling out to me. But I was actually on a mission. Cinnamon buns! I enjoy a good cinnamon bun and have been buying them at a competing bakery half as far from my house as Leah's. So two cinnamon buns ($3.50 each) to go was my planned order. It was my lucky day, there were only two left. But with one eye on those buns, my other eye kept getting distracted by scones, cakes, cookies and ultimately an éclair ($3.50). It was too much for me. I've loved éclairs since I was a kid. When the woman at the register asked me if there was anything else, my inner child blurted out, "an éclair, please". I should not forget to mention that the woman at the register also asked me if I'd like to have some extra icing for the tops of the cinnamon buns. I accepted and she filled two small plastic containers of the sugar icing and instructed me to apply it to the center of the buns before I reheated them. That was cool. I've never had another bakery offer me that option. OK, I'm home, I've added the extra icing and heated the cinnamon buns. The first thing I notice is that Leah's dough was thinner than many other bakeries when she rolls them up. This results in more swirls/spirals to each bun with the cinnamon-sugar spread more evenly throughout the spiral. It may not look like a lot of cinnamon-sugar, but the ratio of cinnamon-sugar to dough is almost perfect, and that extra icing on top makes it a killer bun. The filling in the éclair was not like others that I've had. It was not the custard that I grew up on, nor was it like the cream fillings that I usually expect to find in a cream puff. It was white like the cream in a cream puff, but so much tastier and even a better consistency. And the chocolate glaze that topped the éclair had a good semi-sweet flavor. Looks like I'll be starting my penance next week.

Thought I had found a place that our omnipresent Community Leader Daniel B. had not yet visited, but lo and behold, he beat me to Leah's Cakery by about a week. Dagnabit!!! Anyway, I'm giving this place 6 stars with a twist! Here's why... Only about a minutes drive east off the Northway via exit 11, Leah's is truly a gem, and not just because it's so easy find! Lots of parking on the side of the building, which looks to be newly re-sided. It's indeed quite small inside with only 4 tables, but don't let that stop you from visiting. Expect staff and even patrons to make you feel ridiculously welcome as soon as you enter. I just couldn't believe how nice and welcoming everyone was even though we'd never been there before and were total strangers. The Outsiders we were. There was no open table once we'd ordered coffee, a heavenly sticky bun, and a taste buds elevating bacon cheddar scone (see my pics), but that didn't matter. Oliver, probably the coolest counter guy ever, came out from behind the counter and hastily with care created a spot for my wife and I to sit. It required some customers to move over a bit and they didn't hesitate as Oliver asked with so much deftness and charm. All the customers were so friendly and talkative to everyone, including my wife and I from the moment we entered. It was like they were adding new members to their own little club. It really made us feel special. If everyone in this world was that nice, well, we'd be living in a much better place. The welcoming alone would probably have won me over as a customer for life, and then we actually stuffed our gut-bellies! We inhaled an amazing sticky bun with honey and pecans (nom nom nom) that Oliver heated for us and portioned into two, as well as the heated scone that had sooo much bacon and cheddar flavor and was so deliriously dense! Coffe was scalding hot and came with free refills of your choice all day. A small coffee is only 2 bucks, the sticky bun was $3.75 and a scone is only $3.00. Items are priced irrationally low (insert cheesy radio commercial voice here), particularly with regard to portion size and quality. Leah is a classicly trained bakery chef and it undoubtedly shows. We brought home some added treats to nosh later and none disappointed. Their muffins are huge and made with fresh fruits, nuts, and real spices...and are exploding with all those same ingredients. They also have gluten free options if that meets your needs. Honestly, they seem like the kind of people that would make you a custom order right then and there upon request if you had a nut or food allergy. The place is rustic and charming in every way, from its customers, policies, prices, employees, and also to its decor. How cool is this? They keep the half and half or milk in the fridge nearby and you just help yourself to it as you need it for your coffee or tea. It makes you feel like you're at home, it really does. WiFi is strong and free (just like 'merica!!!) and they also have a day-old pedestal at the counter that offers everything on it at half price...so you can buy a 1 lb. muffin for like a dollar fifty. Home baked bread is available on Sundays and Wednesdays! I don't remember the last time I felt so welcome to an eatery, but I do know they've won a loyal customer right here. This is the kind of place you should go out of your way to visit. Homemade cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, muffins, quiches, scones, eclairs, soups and on and on...and all are served by some seriously nice people. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

Cute little place in the unique town of Round Lake. I meant to stop by this bakery many times. Finally one of my friends who is also a Round Laker (or Lakian... I don't know) brought me there. He recommended the pecan bun which he was having. I ordered a cinnamon bun instead. He let me try his pecan, it was so amazing, with the right amount sweetness, not too much but enough to feel mesmerizing. My cinnamon bun is awesome too. They also have many kinds of coffee with unique names. read more

Fantastic goods and outstanding customer service make Leah's a standout business. We contracted her to handle the baked goods for our wedding a year ago which included a small cake, pumpkin pies, and cupcakes. All the items were delicious and on top of that, Leah advised us that rather than freeze a chunk of cake for a year to eat at our anniversary we could just check in and she'd provide us a small cake to celebrate. We did, and that cake was wonderful as well. Great food and great attitudes. Highest recommendation. read more

Over all Leah's has some great things, walked in to get a birthday cake and was told I needed to order it. What a shame it's a bakery you think they would have a couple of small cake made for walk in business. Bought a few other items and they were great. Just disappointed because I had to go to another bakery for the cake. read more

Wow! I had recently took a cooking class from Chef Leah and heard about the wonderful goodies here so dragged my hubbie on route to shopping today. Delicious doesn't even do the cinnamon buns justice. Warm, sweet, light and huge!!! Good hot standard coffee to enjoy with it, nothing special but perfect to accompany the delicious baked goods. And frankly anything more than good standard coffee wouldn't work here.The shop itself is warm, homey and comforting, the staff friendly and accommodating. We got another bun to go along with a sampling of the cookies. Everything looks wonderful and I can't wait to return, luck for me it's close by. Haven't tasted all the cookies yet but the snicker doodle was cinnnamony and delicious. read more

My mom is in her 80s and she loves this place and recommended we go there for lunch following her dr appt. It is a cute little place with retro tables reminiscent of granny's kitchen with the metal tops and the center drawer, mismatched chairs, etc. There are a few tables and some in the second room. The woman at the counter is so friendly and eager to help and the array of sweets is so tempting. I had the bacon quiche which I loved and my mom had the mushroom and spinach quiche. She had a cup of tea (and when I say she is picky about tea, that is an understatement) and I had farm fresh chocolate milk. For dessert, she had the peach pie and I had a chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing. They have brownies, breakfast sandwiches, soup, a featured sandwich, pie, cookies, cinnamon rolls, tarts and more. It was bustling at lunch time. Some were hanging out on laptops, others were enjoying a quick bite - from construction men to old ladies lunching there is something for everyone. I noted a shelf of personalized mugs (people bring in their own mugs and there is a slot with their name on it on the shelf) - thought that was cool - nice to see they have a lot of "regulars" in their coffee club. It is great to take baked goods home from here as well. The soup feature today was sweet potato curry and the sandwich was turkey apple slaw - I did not try them but people who did seemed to enjoy them very much. I don't live close but I visit my mom every Sunday and this would be a nice little place for a drive destination. It's a hop, skip, and a jump off the Northway on the way to Lake Ridge (another favorite place of mine). Cozy, kitschy, and recommended! read more

First time at Leah's, I had to drive around the incredibly charming Round Lake streets before pulling into the lot: it's like a miniature Victorian city. Then, I ate baked oatmeal that knocked my socks off AND allowed me to feel virtuous for choosing such a wholesome item. Since, I've had her mushroom barley soup, traditional crumb cake, and an oatmeal-chocolate chip cookie. A-one on every item. Eating in is friendly and comfy; eating outside, right along the bike trail, is refreshing; and eating in my car while combing Saratoga County yard sales was enough nourishment for a full day's "work." Leah is amazing -- knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly talented. And BTW, all her food is wholesome, even the naughty items! read more

This place has great reviews and it deserves them! Great atmosphere, friendly folks, and delicious food! My husband and I shared the cinnamon bun, pecan roll (only available on the weekend!) and a cheddar scone and all were fantastic. We also took home a piece of cake (how could we not?) and it was super moist and dense in the best way! They also have free refills on coffee all day! You can easily grab a coffee, go for a walk on the trail that runs right by the restaurant, and then grab another cup before heading home! Leah is super sweet and it was neat to see how well she knows her customers and takes time with each one! We also enjoyed chatting with the other gentleman working this morning - unfortunately I can't remember his name! Anyway, this was such a nice experience for a Sunday morning and we can't wait to return! read more

Stopped in yesterday and I must say, this place is amazing. It was very quaint and I felt welcome immediately. The super friendly and helpful gentleman behind the counter gave me a brief overview of the place and sweets. I wanted a variety so I ended up getting the cinnamon rolls, lemon cake slice, cranberry walnut cookie, and chocolate chocolate chip cookie. Since it was my first time in there, I was given a free coffee (Death Wish-- awesome) and a free brownie. Everything tasted was delicious, but my favorites were the chocolate velvet cookie and the lemon cake. You will not go wrong with any of your choices here and I plan on returning often! read more

Hands down the best cake I remember having in my 40 years!!! Ordered my daughters birthday cake from Leah's Cakery and was impressed. Not only did she make the cake beautiful on the outside -- the cake tasted excellent. Everyone at the party raved about how delicious the cake was!! This is our favorite bakery, however the service is substandard due to one employee named Danielle. She actually took the baked goods we were interested in purchasing off the shelf to keep them from us because she doesn't like my sister. Who knows if we will return, which is a shame, since our families order cakes and pies from Leahs year round. Word of mouth works both ways, positively and negatively. read more

Love this place! They have the best soups and sandwiches and their desserts are amazing. We always buy lunch and then end up over indulging on the desserts. Cupcakes are amazing - chocolate with raspberry filling and the peanut butter and jelly ones are my favorite. Their cookies and brownies are really great too! All the food tastes completely home made and healthy and the owners are super friendly. Love supporting this local place! read more

Place looks great, Leah appears to be sweet and caring. We ordered a wedding cake on june12 for July 16 paid in full even called on July 12 to make sure all was good. On July 16th cake was not delivered? When my son called Leah's she claimed she had no cake orders for the 16th of July. When I got on the phone she said she had made a mistake transferring from contract to her book and wrote us in for August....... 4 and a half hours later Leah brought a dried out small cake to the reception. Leah has not returned or taken a phone call from us.When I call I believe she is answering saying it's someone else. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Tucked into the historic West Side General Store building in Round Lake NY is Leah's cozy neighborhood bakery. Vintage kitchen tools and old enamel topped tables are reminiscent of grandma's kitchen. Since I was big enough to reach the mixer, I have been baking yummy treats. Cookies, muffins, pies and cakes kept me busy as I grew. Hobby turned into profession, and skills were honed at Culinary School (SCCC). I have been baking professionally since 2005 and my specialty is custom designed wedding and special event cakes. From the simple elegant to the wacky whimsical, this cake artist is poised and ready to bake for you.

One is plenty for me and I love that they use little blueberries for their pancakes. The atmosphere at Lakeside Farms is bucolic. I suppose it wouldn't have been so bad if I liked it. The bacon was not good. It was very greasy and kind of also dry and gritty. The egg had no seasoning. The toast was good the jam was good the hash browns were good. I don't enjoy them for breakfast. I did have the best fish sandwich I've ever had in my life there a long time ago it was a special. Was that fish sandwich and had a yummy sauce. It's a fun experience to go there by do not like the breakfast. I couldn't get anybody to eat this bacon except the dog and she can't eat bacon.

It was for a birthday I made cannoli cake but didn't want to make the actual cannolis to save time but wanted a higher quality version than price chopper I also got a latte and it was very good- nice and hot (some places they're kinda cooler) The service was great a woman with short brown hair helped me & made the latte. Seriously, there is someone here to blame. What is their name? I want to know. Sure, it's not a civil or criminal offense. But it's a crime against food. It's a crime against the people of Saratoga Springs. And it's just plane offensive. I regret if anyone was driven to try Mrs. London's based on my previous glowing reviews. I am so sorry. I had no idea. But I was just there this morning. I gazed into the pastry case at the croissants, and my heart sank. I felt sick. The croissants looked like something you would see in an airport. I think the croissants at Costco might be better. These were flat, flabby, and pale things. Far from the perfect, golden, flaky, structured, glistening beauties of the past. And this isn't about fond recollections. I have receipts. Photos from the past and pictures of the present. It's night and day. If the new owners aren't going to preserve Mrs. London's food, they should have the decency to put someone else's name on the joint. I too asked about the breads, and was told "their baker retired". Fortunately, Michael London taught other people to bake amazing artisan bread, and his legacy lives on elsewhere. Unfortunately, nobody at the shop bearing his name bothered to pick up the torch. What a shame. It is so sad. I am literally heart broken. This was one of my favorite bakeries in the country. I went out of my way to make a special stop in my limited time passing through the region. But I suppose nothing lasts forever, and this is a valuable reminder of that unfortunate fact. My days visiting Mrs. London's are over. I can no longer recommend it in good conscience. Perhaps the hot chocolate is still good, and the decor is still lovely. However, if you look closely at the glowing reviews, they all point back to a time that has now sadly passed.

Next to the register was a small package wrapped in red & white string, labeled "Bonnie's Uncommon Fruitcake." I've been a sucker for trying fruitcakes ever since I had my first slice of Freihofer's Fruitcake over seventy years ago. Here was a locally baked fruitcake with no difficult to pronounce or preservative ingredients. That definitely made it "Uncommon." Pecans, dates, candied fruit (cherries, pineapple), eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. That's it! I thought it tasted delicious. It was not overly sweet, had a good amount of nuts and candied fruit, and there was minimal cake (flour) holding it all together perfectly. They had gluten free bread, which isn't always easy to find in a bakery, so I got that. Now normally, GF bread is nothing to write home about and often resembles a spongy, white piece of foam, so I was delighted to open up the foil to see something that actually looked like real bread. This bread had crust too. It was soft and flavorful with an excellent texture. I think it's made with buckwheat, and had a bit of a sweet hint to it. The bacon was plentiful, thick, and a nice mix of crispy and meaty. I didn't want this sandwich to end. My husband got the same sandwich but on a Kaiser roll and loved it as well. The bakery itself was cozy and had a lot of options for freshly baked bread, croissants, and pastries. They had a full coffee bar with lots of options as well. I like that they have a station set up where you can add any type of milk or sweetener you want, as well as condiments, plasticware, to-go bags and more. And for dessert, I got a GF brownie to go...it was phenomenal. Big, moist, delicious, and had a layer of chocolate fudge and chunks on top. My only regret is that I didn't find this place at the start of my trip, because I would have been there every morning. I can't wait to come back on my next visit to Saratoga!
