I have heard nothing but rave reviews about LeDu Thai from friends for months, so I finally decided to check it out. While my first meal didn't quite live up to the hype, I am definitely planning to return. The atmosphere alone makes this spot worth visiting. The decor is the perfect balance of funky yet elegant. It feels upscale enough for a date night, but remains comfortable rather than stuffy. The service was also top-notch, and the location is fantastic. As for the food, my experience was a bit of a miss. I ordered the tofu Pad Thai and requested a 3/5 spice level, but unfortunately, the dish arrived with zero heat and came across quite bland. That said, I'm willing to chalk it up to an off day in the kitchen. Given the great vibes and excellent service, I'm looking forward to giving them a second chance and trying something different on the menu next time!
Kao Soi was a bit too sweet for me but I could tell they have a solid curry paste down. My perfect version would have different ratios but this one's pretty damn good. This was the first time I tried Kua Kling and it definitely won't be the last. It's got a really great spicy kick that pairs well with the lime leaves and lemongrass. It's like Pad Kra Pao's unappreciated cousin. The thai tea is alright here but overwhelmingly sweet. There's a couple of little things like the rice being slightly overcooked that make me want to try their other location to see if the quality control is better there, because the recipes seem promising.
5/5 for food 2/5 for speed 5/5 for vibe 3/5 for drinks LeDu is easily one of my top Thai spots. Great for takeout, but also such a cute date night place. This is where you go for a cute, slightly elevated dinner vibe. Gentlemen, this is a safe win. I usually don't touch the appetizer menu and just get a noodle dish as my "starter," but this time we switched it up. We got the Som dtam plara Los style and the Happy Tiger. The som dtam was a little too fishy for me personally, but everyone else at the table loved it. Happy Tiger was good. Nothing crazy, just exactly what the menu says, NY steak. For entrees, I always go for the pad zee u. I love a thick noodle moment, and theirs is so good. It's super garlicky, soy saucey, just hits every time. I get it with fried tofu and it's perfect. Another must is the gaeng panang curry, which is probably their most popular dish for a reason. It's sooo good. One of the best curries in the Valley. The short rib is insanely tender and just soaks up all the flavor. You will not want to share it. Service is really the only downside. If you go during peak hours, just be ready to wait. They seem a little understaffed when it's packed. One time we waited about 45 minutes for food. But they did acknowledge it and made it right, which I appreciated. Every other time, it's been pretty normal timing. Overall this is a great pick. ENJOY!
I showed up to have a late lunch at around 2pm. There were only a couple more diners inside and no one dining al fresco. Service was attentive and the staff was very nice. The inside of the restaurant was super cute and painted in a vibrant green - it feels cheerful and chill and kind of tropical inside. I started with the pork larb Thai style and it hit the spot. The minty chili lime flavor was spot on. It wasn't too tart and I requested mild spice level, just in case LeDu's idea of mild might taste like a strong medium to me. Larb is a great cold appetizer and made exactly the way I expected. Then my papaya salad arrived, this dish also had the right amount of chili lime flavor with crisp papayas and long beans. The wings were overcooked and a little on the dry side. They were unseasoned and definitely needed the dipping sauce. I love chicken wings, so I'd give this another try. My table had a card on the table advertising their drinks and desserts. I saw Thai tea custard and my interest was piqued. I love Thai tea and I love custard, this will be a double win. It was not a double win. The dessert was not in custard form, I could have eaten it like soup. The toast was nice and buttery, but I wouldn't order it again. The way it was served intrigued me, but there wasn't anything else about it to keep me interested. I'll just keep drinking my Thai teas with dinner and skip the custard. I enjoyed my lunch here and would return. It had been recommended to me by a Thai person, and overall, happy with my appetizers.
My dining experience at LeDu Thai was great. I ordered the Magic Noodle salad from the appetizer menu and the Mango Charm dessert, and both were delicious. The Magic Noodle salad was colorful and fresh, but the coolest part is that it literally turns purple when you pour the dressing on top that's why it's called "magic" noodle. It was a fun touch. The noodle salad vinaigrette reminded me a lot of Vietnamese nuoc cham: bright, tangy, slightly savory, spicy and it paired perfectly with the noodles and fresh vegetables. The Mango Charm dessert was light and refreshing, not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It's basically ice cream with fresh mangoes. It came out a Tuesday evening and it was very busy. The service was great. The servers were very attentive. The ambience was kinda cool. It was a trendy dark and enchanting vibe - something different for a Thai restaurant located near Roosevelt Row. Great food, beautiful food presentation, and an overall good vibe. I'll definitely be back maybe during happy hour.
This place is the ultimate vibe. I absolutely loved the ambiance. I ended up ordering the Coconut Sunset which was my type of adult beverage because I didn't even taste the alcohol. My friend and I ordered the Pla Goong Salad which was delicious. In addition, we shared the crab fried rice and crabmeat turmeric dishes . They did ask us what spice level we wanted which we opted for mild lol. The food was full of flavor and we cleaned our plates. This is a great spot and an even better one for a date night. I can't wait to come back.
Went here for Valentine's Day with my girlfriends and it was great! We even got a cute little spot in the back that felt secluded from everyone else, which made it feel extra fancy! The ambiance is perfect, with dim lighting, music playing, and a plant filled vibe that makes the whole place feel cozy and aesthetic. The food was delicious. My favorite was definitely the magic noodles. They pour this sauce on top that changes the noodles from blue to pink! Not only was the color change so fun, but the quality of the dish was perfection. We also got the steak appetizer and it was delicious. The dipping sauce was amazing, and the price was super reasonable too. Unfortunately, I didn't particularly enjoy the entrées, but that was more of a personal preference. I don't usually like coconut flavored dishes, but all my friends really enjoyed theirs and I could tell by the quality that it was a well made dish. I also got a mocktail and it was delicious, it tasted like a piña colada! The service was very polite but unfortunately not very attentive. At one point we were waiting a long time after our entrée because we really wanted dessert, and by the time the server came back, the dessert we wanted was sold out. It may have already been sold out, but it's hard to say. To be fair, it was Valentine's Day, so I completely understand that it was probably just a very busy night. Overall, I would definitely go back!
This is my second time here but was still such an enjoyable experience! I came for a date night and was not disappointed. We were seated very fast, the server and hostess were super kind and friendly. For food we ordered: Pad Z U 19$ Kra Pao 19$ Larb Mushroom 10$ The portions were really good and were very filling! Drinks: Singha Beer 7$ Passionfruit Fizz 9$ We went during happy hour so the appetizer and Passionfruit Fizz were smaller priced. Food came out very fast and it genuinely is the best Pad See ew i have ever had. I adored the ambience, the lights were dimmed around 5:30/6 and it really transported you to a Thai destination. The decor was so fun to look at during the dining experience as well.
I come here one a year when I'm in the area for a work conference, I always look forward to getting a meal at LeDu Thai. The location is extremely walkable if you are staying at a hotel downtown, I can't speak to parking since I've never driven there. There is table or bar service, and a cute patio. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The cocktails here are excellent. The espresso martini is top notch! They have great happy hour options for food and cocktails. We ordered a beautiful spread of appetizers. The flavors at LeDu Thai are so delicious, perfectly balanced with spice and flavor. We got medium hot which was nice and warm, with Thai hot chili oil on the side. The Larb Pork and Larb Mushroom is exploding with flavor, truly unreal dishes! I love this place and look forward to eating here every year!
Dinner was amazing! The patio was so nice to sit on and enjoy the lovely fall Arizona weather. Service was great and quick. Our server was attentive and helpful. We ordered the lard pork salad as a starter, very delicious and flavorful. For an entree we enjoyed the pad Thai and it was absolutely so delicious and flavorful. I was skeptical of the fried tofu but it was such a tasty texture and flavorful addition. Highly recommend!
Decent pad thai, funky and creative decor, attentive service, but the portion was half of what it should have been for the price. I ordered pad thai with chicken, and it came with about three or four small pieces of chicken that were overcooked. There were a few pieces of tough tofu, too. The sauce was heavy and noodles were a bit mushy. The noodles portion should have been twice as much, especially for $19. Also, I ordered a soda water and they charged $6 for a tiny bottle of fever tree club soda. I was a bit disappointed and probably won't be back.
Came in for dinner with some very fun friends before the Sarah Millican show on Saturday night. They take reservations and I can absolutely see how that would be helpful as this place can get busy and parking can be tough to find. There is street parking by meter and perhaps some without meter elsewhere if you want to walk a little ways. This location is right off Roosevelt. Staff was super nice, very attentive, and helpful in making recommendations. Prices are reasonable. Flavors are delicious. I forgot to write down what my friends ordered but everyone really liked what they ordered. Spice levels as described. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend.

A standout dining experience at LeDu Thai. Every dish arrived bursting with vibrant, layered flavor--bright, balanced, and deeply satisfying in that way only truly thoughtful Thai cuisine can deliver. The Gaeng Panang beef was a highlight--exceptionally tender, rich, and deeply flavorful with just the right balance of heat and depth. The green papaya salad was fresh and light, offering a perfect contrast, while the pad Thai chicken was absolutely delicious and beautifully executed. The mango sticky rice was completely off the charts--perfectly ripe, delicately sweet, and unforgettable. The staff was warm, attentive, and effortlessly dialed in, elevating the entire experience without ever overstepping. I already can't wait to come back with friends... though part of me hopes I don't regret sharing this gem when it suddenly becomes impossible to get a table. And to top it all off, Chef Gabby's charm and genuine excitement about sharing food from Thailand shines through in every detail. read more
I was excited to try a new Thai place in downtown Phoenix. We were sat at our table by the hostess and waited approximately 20 minutes for our server to come over for drink orders. They seemed confused when I asked for whiskey listed on the menu on the rocks and had me click the buttons for them on their mobile ordering device to make sure it was right...that was strange, We ordered two apps as well which were bland- tofu and a papaya salad. We then were left alone without anyone returning for about fifteen minutes when we got the drinks and appetizers from the kitchen and bartender, who directly came over versus our server. When we placed our orders the server pushed me toward medium even though I said hot or Thai hot was more my range (I have eaten straight Thai chilis without issue in Thailand). But he insisted so I picked medium. From when we ordered to when we got the food was about 50 minutes. The food was nothing memorable and the spice tasted like chili flakes or powder versus real Thai chilis. At not point outside of the two interactions of ordering did we see our server again, and we had to flag down the hostess to get the check. It was worth asking her to split four people into two bills by order so we did a clean break. She seemed very disinterested in our table from the moment we sat, which she told us it would be tough to move us from an available high top in the sun to a lower table given how many reservations they had...I did not see anyone waiting for a table at any point but that is not relevant to my scoring here. For two drinks, four meal, and two apps this felt overpriced. The portion of meat for the entrees felt paltry and I was hungry within an hour or so. If the service wasn't so bad and the meal overall time there not 2 hours I would give it a 2.5 or 3. Either way I don't plan to come back. Phoenix has a few decent Thai or Thai adjacent spots in Lom Wong and Glai Baan. read more

I LOVE THE THAI CUSTARD, I dream about it every month. the pornstar drink is very good as well. the crying tiger is a little dry? depending on the day. the pad z u is perfect, not too sweet or salty. I love the dark lighting ambience. The service is very friendly and attentive. read more

This experience at this beautiful restaurant was top tier! If you are ever in the Downtown Phoenix, AZ area you have to go to LeDu Thai. Awesome ambience, excellent service Jo our waiter was the best ever. The food was delicious and their drink selection was excellent. So, everything on the menu is great but these are the items we order that were superb! The drinks I forgot the names but I'll post the picture, appetizer was the NY Strip with sauce, main course was pork pad Thai, shrimp pad Thai, and the crab fried rice! Awesome you have to go and tell them that I highly recommended this restaurant! Enjoy Bon appetite read more

We arrived and were seated (we had a 5:30 reservation on a Saturday). We received water then no one ever came to take our order. Our server walked past several times, apologized twice and said he'd be right with us. He still never made it back to our table. Another server was walking around and any time I tried to get her attention, she'd look away. We wound up leaving without having any food after waiting approximately 25 minutes. It sucks because I really loved the food here and wanted my mom to try it so I brought her for her birthday. We had to walk around downtown until we found something else. read more

My gal pal and I were craving delicious Thai food and visited LeDu Thai on a Sunday evening after she got off work. Parking downtown in general sucks, but there are curbside options available nearby. Upon entering, I was impressed by the decadent interior with low-lighting, cultural elements, and stunning green walls. The restaurant was surprisingly not busy despite being a weekend night, maybe because it was close to closing time. We were seated immediately. I opted for my usual Thai restaurant order of the pad thai, with beef, mild, no beansprouts. My gal pal opted for the crab -fried rice, opposed to her usual order of some curry. The crab-fried rice came out first, and while it was a large portion size perfect for sharing and generous with the crab, I felt like it was tastey but lacking in extra dimension. I also noticed it didn't come with the usual tomato wedges I've seen at other institutions. Then, I tried my own pad thai. IT WAS THE BEST PAD THAI I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. Usually I find that restaurants are lazy and skimp out on the tangy-tamarind flavor and instead just let it be sweet, but the taste was perfectly balanced to me. The noodles were adequately sauced and flavorful. There was generous amounts of beef. There was even tofu on the side. Phenomenal and absolutely hit the spot. Then we tried the cha-thai gelato. It was also so good in both thai tea flavor and gelato texture and lastly portion size vs cost. Overall amazing but reasonably-priced upscale Thai restaurant that I would definitely return to, especially for intimate date-night vibes. read more
Ohhhhhh myyyyy tastebuds!!!!!! I'm gonna start with the crab fried rice. 10/10!!!! It was excellent, fresh, flavorful and had actual crabmeat throughout and on top. No additional sauce or spice needed. However, a portion of it I did put the chili oil and it was aromatic and oh so yummy. Next was the appetizers of the mushroom and the fried chicken. The mushrooms were more flavorful for me and I went with smedium heat level and my mouth was on fire! lol! The fried chicken wings were good, but not as wow as it's been raved about. This was my first time trying Thai tea and it was refreshing, light and not too sweet. I enjoyed it. To finish things up, I had the mango sticky rice (in my hotel). Another great treat to wrap up the meal. Jay, the server, bartender and all the roles he played to help out the team, was AMAZING! He was incredibly kind and made suggestions that I went with and I can't wait to go back. Definitely a cute sport for solo, dates or large gatherings. Check them out and enjoy! read more

Food and service top notch; forget what the name of the appetizer I had but I was a salad with shrimp in it and it was incredible. Star of the show was the crab fried rice omg easily the best rice dish I've ever eaten. Also tried the steak appetizer, would skip next time. The Thai lager they have is really good too and the first time I've had a Thai beer before. Service was extremely friendly. Would come back here solely for the crab fried rice... unbelievably delicious! read more
Cozy Thai place in downtown Phoenix. I really enjoyed my meal here. The pork belly was flavorful and the egg was a perfect compliment. It had nice crispy edges and a runny yolk. The staff was very friendly too. I wasn't a huge fan of their lychee martini, but everything else was great. read more
2nd time at LeDu, both times were great experience! The food was great. Their pork belly is crispy and tender. The drinks were so good! My partner had the Kao Soi with thai hot level spice. our fave dessert is the bong-bong. Service was awesome both times we came. Ambiance was date night vibes. read more

Disappointing for the price. The beef in the kua prik gaeng was tough and chewy - it felt like my mouth was getting a workout trying to get through it. The curry sauce it was in was good, but the overall dish was ruined by the poor quality of the beef. Service was a bit slow, but fine. However, all of the drinks in my party of 3 were great. Really loved the thai martini. If I were to come back, I'd probably only order appetizers and drinks. read more

We completely stumbled upon LeDu Thai when we arrived early for trivia across the street and wanted to feed our 17 month old something slightly healthier than pizza. I can't believe we hadn't found this place! To start with, the upscale atmosphere at LeDu Thai is maybe a little more cozy date night and a little less "my toddler is hangry," but despite this, the helpful staff were ready with a high chair! There's no kids menu, but a combination of the absolutely delicious crab fried rice (they don't skimp on the crab) and a side of steamed vegetables satisfied the little one. Make sure to request no spice if you're feeding a toddler (or anyone with the spice preferences of a toddler) - our gaeng crabmeat turmeric curry had kick!! It's served in a unique way, with a bowl of the curry sauce that you then mix the noodles and veggies into. One benefit of the side steamed veggies was that they served well to soak up the rest of the curry sauce. We were initially going to order thai iced teas, but the waiter recommended a cocktail that he thought was similar and we went for that instead. I still have no clue what we purchased, but it tasted like a thai iced tea with a little something special inside. You know when you find a new lil spot, love it, and selfishly don't wanna share it? Thats this spot for me. I know this will be a spot we frequent, and I'm so glad we found it. Super cute decorated inside. Easy to make a ressy online (which we appreciate with a baby). Food all 3 meals were delicious, even my picky eater husband and father in law loved it. I had a really great evening here with some friends the other day! This place is beautifully decorated, with dark, intimate lighting. Love it. Parking is on the street. They do take reservations and have indoor or outdoor seating. Our group decided to enjoy the patio, and they did have heaters to keep us warm. Annie was our waitress and took great care of us! I decided to try the pad Thai, and it was so delicious!!! Everything I didn't know I needed. We also ordered some appetizers: the fried tofu and larb mushroom. The fried tofu was incredible, paired perfectly with a sweet chilli sauce. The larb mushroom was also good, but I highly recommend that fried tofu! My friends both ordered kao so-i and let me try it. It was very flavorful, and I will probably order that next time. Soo yummy. I also ordered the ledu margarita which was refreshing too. Already looking forward to coming back here! The local foodie buzz caught my attention regarding a good, new and refreshing Thai restaurant in downtown Phoenix. LeDu is a small but warm restaurant. They are in a busy and bustling part of downtown. Parking here can be a challenge. We made reservations just to be safe. The decor is colorful and on theme with the cuisine. The food is served when it is ready, hot and flavor packed. We started with the fried chicken wings marinated in coconut milk, curry paste, sweet sour dip and crispy shallots. The coating was crispy while the meat was moist and packed with flavor. A grand slam was the Magic noodle with glass noodles, ground pork, shrimp, onions, cilantro and a chili lime dressing. They should bottle this dressing for sale. Incredible flavor, taste and memorable! Our entrees included one of the best Pad Thai dishes ever. Great sauce but not excessive, perfect medium heat, and the ideal blend of all ingredients. YOU MUST TRY. The Pad Z U was fair, a bit dry, lacked adequate sauce and somewhat bland. A shocker was the Gaeng Panang Nuer with panang curry bathed braised short ribs, basil and long red chili. Another amazing dish that was done to perfection. LeDu is small but has dishes that pack a kick. If you want to turn loose your taste buds, this is the place for you. The staff here is friendly, eager to help you pick the right dishes and always smiling. Treat yourself to this jewel in downtown Phoenix, you won't regret it. Service was excellent, and the food was amazing! When you eat Thai food, you share it family-style. It's the only way it should be enjoyed, so you can experience a variety of dishes and flavors. 10/10 recommend! 1. Magic Noodles - omg! Love how settled the flavors were. So good! 2. When you find this beautiful gem hidden between construction and other spaces you are thrilled. Beautiful colors invite you to explore and walk in. Once inside you're further mesmerized by the beautiful chandeliers and the richness of Jade, Gold and dark wood. The menu is well crafted and gets you even more pumped about what's next, so we ordered stuff to split. Hat-Yai , Noor Toon Zap, and Thai fried rice all @ medium heat! Everything came out extremely hot and fresh from the crispy fried chicken to the warm beef broth to the aromatic fried rice we absolutely devoured it all. So much so that my compadre crabbed the rice before I could snag a freshly served photo but it was all bursting with flavor and on a cold afternoon was truly great. I have been wanting to try this place for a bit and finally got the chance to bring some friends/family from out of town. I was a little nervous to bring them without trying it first but luckily we all loved it. Service was great. Parking is a little hassle but it's downtown after all. We didn't have many issues because we came a little early and it's the summer. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We started with the LARB PORK. It was so tasty but VERY spicy. I would get mild because médium was super spicy in my opinion. I got fried pork belly with rice and egg - I forgot the name of the dish but it was delicious. Again super spicy so beware. A great authentic Thai spot! My wife and I came across this spot after the farmers market in downtown and what a gem! The interior is so pretty and the weather was perfect for the patio. We had papaya salad & fried chicken for appetizer and pat see yu & pad Thai for our entrees. It tasted very authentic. Portions are on the smaller side and definitely watch the spice level. You can select between 1-5, 5 bring spicy. My wife and I both selected 2, I personally love spicy so I had no problem with it but my wife's pad Thai was spicy probably because she's more sensitive.
