Lee Company advertises "straightforward pricing" and "no surprise fees," which implies customers should receive clear, upfront estimates. When a long‑time customer only learns about a substantial diagnostic fee after the technician arrives, that's a breakdown in communication and not consistent with those promises. It's reasonable to expect to be told the full structure (dispatch + diagnostic + separate repair quote) during scheduling so you can make an informed decision. I usually don't write reviews, but I am compelled to write this review today. I had a scheduled appointment for somebody to take a look at my home regarding electrical switches that were no longer working. The technician did show up, and I acknowledged the $79 dispatch fee. He came in and took a few pictures and then came back to me and told me I needed to pay an additional $255 for him to be able to find out what's wrong. This approach seems so absurd and ridiculous. Lee Company has never done so in all seven years that I've used them. This is the first time, and I'm very disappointed. They could've been much better in their approach. This gimmick here allows them to pad their wallets with both $79 and $255 all at once. What doesn't make sense is that after charging me this amount they would then tell me what it would cost to repair it. What if they tell me that the cost to repair it is $1000? So now I'm out $255 plus $79 if I choose not to proceed. Instead of utilizing these gimmicks, would it not just make sense for them to simply tell people when they're making the appointments that it's not just a $79 fee for dispatch, it's $79 plus $255 for them to actually look at what's going on? It is just sad and disappointing. I think you all should know before you call Lee Company for any work that this is what they are now doing. When I told the technician that I was going to write this review, he said he would just not even charge me the $79, which I don't really care about. I'm happy to pay this stupid $79, but I am so disappointed because it's a waste of my time. They could do better than that. read more

These are some of the kindest, loveliest service folks out there. They treat your house like a home, and they treat the people they work with as other humans. I cannot say the same for many other service folks out there today, unfortunately. Lee Company provides quality care and thorough service. Yes, they are professionals which means that certain repairs will cost more. However, with a service visit, they can assess beforehand and give you a quote, leaving you to decide if you would like to go with their services. Personally, as a homeowner, there were several things wrong with our new build that we needed some help on. Our builders rushed through several things, including an issue with electricity that always scares me. The staff who helped us have always been extremely dedicated, explaining us each step they were going to do patiently, without contempt or condescension. Again, I can't say I've always experienced that, particularly as a woman of color living in the South. Our neighbor recommended their maintenance service, and we have invested in it with no regrets. The people who chat with us are always polite, no matter on the phone or in person. The standard of care is really high, and I think they really value people at their company. It shows through their willingness to converse with clients and treat them kindly. read more

Ever since they replaced our hvac a few weeks ago we've had ongoing issues with no resolution. We were told everything was included in the hvac replacement with a 10 year warranty, only to have them back out within the next few days to be charged several hundred dollars more after already being charged several thousand. It appears we were sold lies and now we are being taken advantage of. read more

Always treating my home with respect and leaving it cleaner than they found it, working as long as needed to make sure the job was done correctly and completely. We have been longtime Lee Company clients - since about late 2012. We called Lee Company late Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend (Christmas 2025) with an emergent hot water leak in our crawl space. From start to finish, they were extraordinary. The young lady who took our call was polite and understanding and assured us that we would hear from someone soon. The plumber (Alan) was terrific, as well - timely, friendly, very efficient in finding and fixing the problem, while taking time to explain everything and answer our questions along the way. He was terrific. Ultimately, the Lee Company repair was considerably less than we anticipated - only about $375...not bad at all, especially after hours on a holiday weekend! Great service, great value. We will continue to be Lee Company clients and appreciate all that they've done to care well for our home and our family for so many years. read more

Last night at 9:30pm, we lost heat in our home on one of our first below freezing days of the season. We called immediately to notify Lee & they said an emergency technician would be there as soon as possible and to keep our phone ringer on. We barely slept throughout the night between it being 27 degrees outside and causing frigid temperatures in our home and waiting for a phone call that never came. We called again at 6am, they said we would get someone between 7-11, still no one showed up. Called again at 12:45 they finally told us it would be FIVE PM the next day. We have two pets, both took off work to ensure we'd be home when the technician came. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed not only in how this was handled (lack of prioritizing a maintenance emergency) & the lack of honest, clear communication. This has disrupted our work and our lives for far longer than it should've. In the past, we've had Lee services rescheduled due to technicians needing to address other customers emergencies & completely understand. How does this not warrant an emergency?? read more

I called for a maintenance check on my two heat & air units, and an estimate on replacing them. No one ever called back, so I called Phase 3. They replaced my two units, and Lee Company lost over $6,000 in a sale and lost any future business or recommendations. read more

Still after months of ending my service agreement they are trying to rob me if more money. I Canceled my monthly service agreement in May 2023. Was charged again for 5 months at once at the end of November out of no where, and then again in December. Called multiple times and was told a refund is being sent in the mail... NOT TRUE. apparently that request was denied for outstanding balance reasons on a service call charge submitted for someone coming out to QUOTE a project for lighting and electrical ( which was $500 more expensive then the company I eventually chose to do the job). Never once did anyone request payment for a service charge fee, nor would have I ever agreed to pay money for someone to quote me on a potential project. This company is designed to provide a mediocre service and take money out of your pocket as often as possible. Stay away... Stay far far far away. read more

The woman I spoke to on the phone and there was extremely rude on not one but two calls to the office. The rate to install a water heater was absolute highway robbery and nobody in the right mind would have paid that I in fact did find somebody who does home improvement on the side and he only charged me $175 which is absolutely reasonable not the ridiculous garbage quote they gave me which was in the hundreds, I think that businesses who take advantage of people think they're the only game in town really need to rethink their ideology and get rid of the female who fills that she can treat people however her she sees fitting. read more

We are a long term customer of Lee Company. We have spent thousands of dollars with them. New AC unit, water pump, service fees, etc. We recently called them because we are interested in connecting our emergency generator to the house. To come and give us an estimate they charge us a $75 "dispatch fee" When I tell them I don't think I should pay that for them giving me an estimate, they say that for small jobs this is the policy. That if a project manager had come we would not have to pay that fee. The thing is that they are the ones who decide who to send. On top of all that, it turned out this is a 4K job and a project manager has to come and give the exact estimate. When I say, so now that this is a big job with a project manager, can you please wave the "dispatch fee". They say they can't do that This is a racket. I am done with this company read more

I called Lee Company to replace my kitchen sink's hot and cold water supply lines. A friend of mine from out of state who is a plumber looked at it over the phone and said that a good plumber would charge about 50 dollars total. The lines I needed were about 9 dollars, so this made sense to me. The Lee company intended to charge me 90 dollars for the fix alone, not including the call-out fee which they did end up not charging me in all fairness. Not only that but there is now another leak on the sink itself that I was told will require a whole new sink. I have never seen that leak before. I will not be using this company again. read more

Called to report broken AC unit on 90 degree day. Lee came same day w 2 techs. Did complete check on both zones for obvious issues...all looked fine. Went to attic it was a clogged line. Vacuumed it out and and got the air cold. Went under house to check for drainage and see about any issues. Went above and beyond and had complete confidence in them as professionals and their no nonsense approach. Will use again for sure. read more
