Dr Harrison is...odd. I went to see him for my on-going shoulder pain. He told me to become a vegan and stop eating rice and flour and sugar and soy, oh and salt. He recommended that I fast like he does. Dr Harrison claimed to eat only once every third day. If you're wondering how this was supposed to help my shoulder pain, I am wondering that too. His office was to set me up for an MRI which never happened and nobody apologized for. I have had a very bad run of luck with Orthopedists for my shoulder issue and unfortunately this guy is on that list. I wish I had someone to recommend in his place. Dr Harrison has several condescending quirks. One of which is he kept calling me "young man." I'm 58. And he's very likely close to my age.

I couldn't be happier with my experience. Jeffrey is amazing --knowledgeable, caring, patient, and just all around lovely and encouraging. my surgeon was super impressed with the progress i made due to my immediate and continued therapy. and a year on since the injury, i am able to use my hand nearly to full strength. so so glad i found him, and wellworks. i would be remiss if i also did not shout out marilyn (sp?) and the OT student (forget her name!) who also assisted me in my recovery. If you're looking for an OT who truly cares and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Jeffrey and the entire WellWorks team. Five stars well deserved!

We had a bad experience with this business in the past. It was only one PT there and a part-time…read moresupport stuff. PT was not knowlegeable and made my right knee pain worse. Her one exercise was especially harmfull - she put all my body weight on this knee with a knee angle less than 90 degrees and without any support. After a few sessions my knee pain level increased and I stopped going. PT told me that she could never ever feel her own glute muscles to contract (?!). I never met anyone who could not learned or feel their glutes to contract. It is a big limitation, especially for a PT. How do you train patients to contract it then? Glute muscles contraction is extremely important to prevent injuries and in rehab. I was surprised that she choose PT field. Do not recommend.

To this day, I still use the stretches and exercises she taught even though my injury has healed because they're so functional and easy to incorporate into my leg day routine. Now, I'm getting therapy for scapular dyskinesia. This time, it's much harder to create the mind-muscle connection, but my therapist Alex gives me great tips and he spends a lot of time with me to make sure I have good form. Slowly, I can tell my posture is improving. Finally, the ladies at the office are always very helpful with scheduling my appointments. They remember my name, which makes me feel welcomed. Overall I'm happy with the services here and I would recommend them to others.

Bottom line, Dr.Stepan Kasimian is BUSY because of the same reason your favorite restaurant only accepts reservations and there still is a wait, because they are EXCELLENT ! I want to give my story, as detailed as possible, without boring you the reader. Around September 2008, I hurt my lower back doing very heavy T-Bar rows at the gym. Back then in my naive youth years, I never properly stretched or warmed up, just hit the iron. Why not ? I'm invincible and I'm special. Nothing will EVER happen to me. Guess what ?? After 20 years of abusing my body, on September 2008, I found out the hard way that I wasn't so special, and I definitely was "breakable." The day after that memorable T-bar back workout, I felt this intense heat on my lower back. Something that I had never experienced before, and hopefully never will. After 1 or 2 hours of this heat, I started to feel this sharp pain, which became a dull pain off and on. The next morning, with zero exaggeration, I couldn't move out of bed. I took maybe 5 Tylenol's that day and didn't really think about it, hoping that it would pass. Fast forward 2 years later on 2010. My right thigh always was in pain when I stood up, accompanied with numbing in my big right toe. From 2010-2014, I literally had about 6 MRI's from 4 different doctors. Unfortunately, they all looked at me at gave me prescriptions for physical therapy and some prescribed me pills which I refused. I went back to these same doctors, 2 who were the "best" at Cedars and told them "it's been 4 years of leg pain, numb toes, and now my left leg if hurting when my right leg isn't." He told me to "hang on" it will get better because the MRI shows a small bulging disc(approximately 3-4 cm,) nothing in his opinion that would warrant an operation because I was "still walking" and I looked strong in his opinion. Around the summer of 2014, I met Dr. Kasimian, and yes, he was busy and there was a big wait. HE ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME. I WILL REPEAT AGAIN, DR. KASIMIAN ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME ! Compared to other doctors who you see for 5 minutes maximum in the office while charging your insurance company $1000. Dr. Kasimian after 20 minutes recommended I receive a brand new MRI because he wanted the most up to date information. 2-3 weeks later after the MRI Dr. Kasimian recommended a micro decompression on my L4/L5 and L5/S1. I had the procedure on October 1st of that year and was surprised to find out that I had a bone spur on my L5 vertebrae pushing down on a nerve which WAS NOT evident or visible on the MRI. THE SURGERY WAS A SUCCESS AND I TOLD DR. KASIMIAN THAT HE "Saved My Life !" I said that because he did. 6 years of sciatica isn't a joke, not including the mentall trauma I endured because of the chronic pain. Thumbs Down to Cedars Sinai Orthopedics who really didn't care because they believed if I was walking, surgery wasn't needed. THUMBS UP to Dr. Kasimian who really cared and took time to see what options were available to help me.

I had a very disappointing experience at this orthopedic office with Dr.Bastian, and would not recommend it based on my visit. From the start, the interaction felt unprofessional. The physician greeted me in an overly casual manner ("bro/dude"), which immediately set an uncomfortable tone for a first-time patient encounter. Throughout the visit, he appeared rushed, spoke very quickly, and did not create space for me to explain my symptoms. I came in for evaluation of a painful cyst in my thumb and ongoing shoulder tendinosis. Instead of asking questions or performing a thorough assessment, he stated that he had reviewed my imaging and that "everything is fine" because I am young and healthy. My concerns about pain were dismissed without meaningful discussion or examination. What was most concerning, however, was the commentary about my insurance. When I mentioned my plan, it was referred to as cheap or something which felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Regardless of insurance type, patients deserve to be treated with respect and receive proper medical attention. Overall, I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and angry. I hope this feedback encourages the practice to improve patient communication, professionalism, and respect.

I had high hopes for Brand Surgical Center, especially since I had trusted them with my body once…read morebefore. But after this experience, never again. I underwent a breast implant + lift surgery with Dr. Angel Gomez-Garcia following a major weight loss, a weight loss procedure that was also done at Brand with a different doctor, so he was fully aware of my medical history and the condition of my skin and tissue. From the beginning, I was uneasy. During the consultation process, you primarily deal with nurses and staff, barely the doctor himself. Dr. Garcia only gave me a few minutes of his time for a quick evaluation, and then I never saw him again until the day of the surgery. There was no chance to build any kind of relationship or real trust with my surgeon. Just three months post-op, I requested a consultation because I had growing concerns about the results. Brand does not care about checking in on your recovery after they've been paid. At this visit, I was told by Dr. Garcia that my implants were being rejected by my body and that scar tissue was forming and hardening around them. He said they were encapsulated and needed to be urgently addressed. That was a complete lie. I have since consulted with multiple, far more reputable surgeons who all told me the real issue is what's called "double bubble." This occurs when implants are not placed in proper alignment with the lower breast tissue, and is very common in patients who've experienced extreme weight loss--which Dr. Garcia knew. I've been told this all could have been prevented with a standard technique: inserting a mesh to support the implant. These surgeons told me that using mesh in my case should have been common sense. But it was never done. Now, my implants have literally slid into my stomach. Yes, you read that right, my breast implants have migrated downward due to the lack of internal support. On top of that, there's an unnatural amount of space between my breasts, leaving me with absolutely no cleavage the ONE thing I made very clear to Dr. Garcia was most important to me. My nipples are now two completely different shapes, one oval, one circular. They tried to rush me into scheduling a revision procedure with them at full cost and zero sympathy. The only thing they offered to refund was the price of the implants themselves, which are insured through a completely separate company. They told me the revision needed to happen within the next three months "for my health," yet also had the audacity to say the same issue could happen again. They offered no alternative plan, no preventative solution --nothing, leaving me spiraling and in complete emotional distress over what the hell I could do. To me, it felt like Dr. Garcia realized where he messed up and was scrambling to fix it before I caught on while also trying to squeeze another few grand out of me in the process. Every time I tried to book a consultation with him (not a nurse) post op to discuss my growing concerns with my breasts appearance, he was "on vacation." I can only assume he was enjoying life with the money I had worked tirelessly to save as a 20-year-old student working two jobs just to afford this surgery. If you truly value your body and well-being, please do what I should have done: spend the extra couple thousand dollars and find a surgeon in Beverly Hills or someone with real expertise and ethics. I deeply regret trusting this center and this doctor. Learn from my mistake.
