I am a long time fan of Lee's sandwiches, so I am familiar with their menu. However, I have not been to this location before. It is on the smaller side, but most of the stores nearby are not very large. I assume this also works for the grab and go option for nearby workers. Service is okay at this location, but when busy, they seem to forget orders sitting ready to be called out. Other then, they are fairly friendly and know the menu well. I was able to try the banana pudding coffee and the Bischoff which were very good. I have to say the banana was my favorite though. I will be back if in the area again. read more

I think Lee's sandwiches has only gotten better since my childhood. They have definitely expanded with more locations, but their menu remains quite similar to their original one. They have added the option to get bowls, but the banh mi are as good as ever. I always get the grilled pork, and on this particular day, the grilled pork was phenomenal! It was nice and crispy in tiny pieces exactly how I like it. The portions were generous as always, and the sandwich keeps well for a second meal. I like this location strictly based on a few things, location to where I live, efficiency, and parking. Let me address parking because you're probably thinking, parking sucks here! You can't find it. Parking spots in this location are sometimes tough, however the size of parking and people aren't parking like jerks at this shopping center. At least from my experience. There are so many different areas to park and get in and out of this place it makes it easy to get in and out of here. This Lees location is great. The manager is always kind and he is efficient. He is not rude to his workers he jumps in and works the back as well. The way this location is set up is simple, wall mural, Asians snacks, and out door seating if you want. The menu is the same and food tastes great! The only issue I have is that it's a bit pricier because of the location. read more

This was my time at this location. It's located in Santa Clara in a nice shopping center with a Starbucks, Chipotle and Whole Foods. We found parking right away. There was no line when we arrived. After looking over the extensive menu we decided on a Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich. And since I couldn't decide between the Biscoff Iced Coffee & the Banana Pudding Iced Coffee I got both!!!!! There's a few places to sit inside along with a few tables outside. We found a spot inside and waited for our order. Biscoff Iced Coffee - strong Vietnamese coffee flavored like Biscoff and topped with cream and a Biscoff cookie. Flavor was good, but too sweet for me! Incredible banh mi spot!! It's kind of tiny, but there's seating both inside and outside, which makes it perfect for a quick lunch break. I went during work and it wasn't busy at all. Service was super fast, I waited maybe five minutes. The menu is HUGE. Tons of banh mi, bowls, rolls, plus European-style sandwiches and little snacks at the front counter. And as a vegetarian... First time stopping by - glad to see this place next door when my kids requested chipotle for the bajillionth time. Got the rolls - friendly staff recommended this as the best standard thing to try if I wanted a roll: Bbq pork and shrimp with vermicelli noodles and peanut sauce. I was craving some Viet coffee and finally decided to check this place out. Parking here can be tough since it's located in a busy plaza. The place itself is pretty small, and the line starts forming as you walk through the doors. They have a QR code to view the menu, but when I tried scanning it, it kept taking me to a strange website. It felt like I was about to get scammed. Very sketchy. Bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwich) is one of my favourite kinds of sandwich, so when I discovered that a Lee's Sandwiches (a counter-service chain for Vietnamese staples such as bánh mì, plus some classic deli sandwiches) is just a short walk from the office, I was super stoked. My first experience with this Lee's Sandwiches location was via a delivery order from Door Dash to the office. I ordered Pork & Shrimp Egg Rolls, a Chicken Pâté Chaud Puff Pastry and #14 Pork Roll & Pâté ASIAN SANDWICH. The pâté chaud and bánh mì were great, but I was disappointed that the egg rolls, which lost their crisp by the time they were delivered, came with sweet & sour packets instead of nước mắm (Vietnamese dipping sauce). My second experience was an in-person visit to the store in the Santa Clara Square Marketplace on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 17, 2025. I arrived around 4:15 PM, easily finding a spot to park in the private lot of the shopping centre, just steps away from the shoppe's front entrance. The eatery is tiny with their counter just a few feet from the front door and a very small dining room to the right with seating (table and counter) for no more than twenty persons. The venue was clean and tidy during my short visit. This time, I ordered Pâté Chaud Puff Pastries ($4.49 each), one Pork and two Chicken, and the #14 Steamed Pork Roll & Pâté/Cha Lua & Pâté Bánh Mì ($9.99) which, oddly, is missing from the posted menu above the counter. I was super hungry, so before I left, I ate the Pork Pâté Chaud Puff Pastry which was extremely dry, I assume from sitting under the heat lamp for so long. Interestingly, the Chicken version was much better, even a day later...and reheated via my home toaster oven. My sandwich was yummy. I appreciated that they did not skimp on the pâté amount. Service was quick, accommodating, and friendly. While I scarfed down the pork pâté chaud, the guy behind the counter even served a small cup of water to me. If I'm in the area again, I'm sure that I will stop by because I can't resist a pâté chaud and good bánh mì. I will also need to get a Vietnamese Coffee, Tea or Smoothie while I am there. read more

In Santa Clara working the Super Bowl me came across this spot. I ordered the BBQ banh mi, I was quite surprised at the size of the sandwich, and it was stuffed with plenty of bbq pork and fresh greens and veggies. The bbq pork was tender, the cilantro was fresh, the carrots and cucumber were also fresh and added a perfect crunch to the sandwich, the pickled onions were spot on as well. The baguette was nicely toasted, crispy, flakey on the outside and soft inside. Great banh mi, one of the better ones I've had outside of Vietnam. Went here for a late lunch few days ago. It was around 1:15pm and it was not busy at all. The gentleman taking my order made it easy since there are many items on the menu. I went with my usual the grilled chicken Banh Mi with an added on egg. The order took about 5-8 min or so which was nice. While I was waiting, I took a look around and noticed that the established was clean and visibly appealing with all the decor. I saw some seating up stairs but wasn't sure if that was for customers. Nonetheless, the Bahn Mi was served on a nice warm crispy roll. Soft to the bite and full of flavor with all the veggies and grilled chicken. The chicken had a nice smoke flavor to it as well which added a nice touch. Can never go wrong with a Lees Sandwich. If you want to get more exotic than chicken they have those options as well. This Lee's Sandwiches is an anomaly amongst other Lee's Sandwiches we've been to in California and Nevada. Their menu is crazy big with Banh Mi Bowls $13.49, Breakfast Sandwiches and Specialty Soups, Bahn Mi Sandwiches, Appetizers and Pastries, European Sandwiches, Bahn Mi Rolls, and Beverages. As with our experience at other Lee's Sandwiches, we would be able to order our food quickly and be in and out. It took over thirty minutes for our orders to be completed. (I think their online orders came in and those took precedence over ours, which was super frustrating. We saw a good handful of others come in and pick up their food while we waited and waited.) We ordered 1 coffee, 3 banh mi sandwiches, 2 orders of bahn mi rolls, and other items from their ready-made section like skewers and egg rolls. Our bill was over $100, which was crazy! (My sister went to a different Lee's Sandwiches and we compared the menu and our receipts and this location prices their items about $2 more per item than the other Lee's! I guess it's all about the location and you're definitely paying for it!) They have a small seating area and counter. We had planned to do takeout for all our foods. But since we were waiting so long, everyone ate the ready-made items while we waited for our banh mi sandwiches and spring rolls. I also noticed that their ready-made pork or chicken skewers were priced at $5.49/each. However, on my receipt I was charged $12.98 for two. We got four total, so we were overcharged $4 for that alone. The math isn't adding up here. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until after I left and compared my photo to my receipt. Overall, I wouldn't return to this location again. It's definitely not quick and very over-priced. Update! Right after I posted this review, I decided to call Lee's Sandwiches to let them know I was overcharged. I spoke with the General Manager and he did say the pork and chicken skewers are now $6.49/each. He actually just read my review, so he knew exactly what I was talking about. He apologized profusely for the error and took ownership for it. (So the menu and sticker on the front of the display should reflect the correct price now.) I asked about the other items costing more at this particular location but he said that they are all generally priced the same, although they do sell items that are unique to this location. Since Lee's Sandwiches is a franchise, the other store by the same owner has the same prices since it has a similar menu and store layout. But other Lee's Sandwiches owned by others definitely do not have the same price point at all. You can easily compare the pricing for banh mi sandwiches and the majority of the ones at this location are all over $10/each. read more

I've been a huge fan of Lee's Sandwiches since I was a kid. A core memory for me was driving up to Santa Ana with my family on the weekends and stopping by Lee's. My go-to is usually the Vietnamese Coffee and Combination Sandwich as I love the cold Vietnamese deli meats. I've already liked Lee's Sandwich and if you are from the Bay Area you know it's been here forever. I always order the special #11 and I think compared to many other Vietnamese sandwich places, Lee's has really good cured pork belly. Looking at the menu it looks like they really diversified their menu for the picky and weird bay area folks but I just always order the special banh mi because that's what set them apart from other non Vietnamese sandwiches. The sandwich is fairly long so I don't think you will find yourself hungry afterwards. The price is Bay Area price but it's understandable because of the physical location. The placement of the menu is really high up with a ton of items listed. Small font since it seems like they're fitting so much on the board. Easier to scan the menu.
