Obviously a hamburger! A big ass hamburger at that!

I'm not gonna lie... This hamburger was delicious! They told me how they grind their own beef from three different cuts and you can tell! Super wonderful! The cheese is rich, so just know that... But I loved it! Perfect fries as well! The ambience of the place was really welcoming as well as the staff. I can't recommend this enough if you're looking for a good burger on the island!

New hidden gem in Galveston!! Came to Leeland House tonight with a large party of about 25, and the staff was extremely accommodating and made the experience smooth despite the group size. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar, and everything moved efficiently. I ordered the seafood pasta, steak with risotto, and truffle fries, and every dish hit the spot. The seafood pasta was flavorful and fresh. The steak and risotto was amazing -- the mushrooms complemented the risotto perfectly and really elevated the dish. The truffle fries were a great side and tied everything together nicely. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the night. Overall, a great experience and definitely a new hidden gem in Galveston. Would absolutely come back.

Great food, reasonable pricing. Great service! Family of five. Needs a kids menu or 1/2 portions for seniors.

Came here two years ago and it was absolutely amazing. However, after coming back after two years, the food was honestly disappointing and severely lacking. The fried cauliflower was delicious! Great for sharing and still tastes as great as it used to. The rest of the food, however, was just lacking in flavor. The sweet potato bowl had huge chunks of unripe tomatoes and the cheese wasn't melted. I had to use copious amounts of salt and chalula just to eat half of it before giving up. The ambiance itself is loud and uninviting. What used to be a charming brunch spot is now almost like a morning club. The music is very loud so that everyone has to raise their voices. No comment on the service since you have to go up and order yourself (which is completely fine). It was disappointing to say the least. I'm hoping this was just a one time experience and hope others have a better shot.

We came in for brunch on a Saturday and the crowd was not too crazy which was nice. They have a few outdoor seating in the front as well as a spacious dining area inside. You can grab a menu and seat yourself. When you're ready to order, you walk up to the bar to put in your order. Don't forget to take note of your table number to let them know where you're sitting. We ordered the honey chicken biscuit, brisket hash, and eggs benedict. The brisket hash dish was rich and filling. It had a good amount of meat and was flavorful. The honey chicken biscuit was also nice. The biscuit was moist and the chicken was fried perfectly. We didn't like that the syrup ran into the fried potatoes though. The star dish was the eggs benedict. The perfectly poached eggs were plated on top of big pieces of ham that sat on top of avocado toasts. They have a variety of drinks as well. I opted for a banana cold foam matcha and it was so good. I personally wasn't too fond of the coffee drinks that I got to sample from my family members. I found the coffee too acidic, but I would definitely get the matcha latte again. Cool place to grab a nice breakfast/brunch before heading off to our cruise!

Leeland house is a chic and welcoming place nestled in the neighborhood. Everyone was friendly and welcoming upon our entry and the decor was crisp and inviting. They have an open seating and bar ordering system which some people balk at but, it was easy and more efficient than waiting for someone to come take your order. Our family of six was easily accommodated and instantly serviced with drinks. We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone left completely clean plates which anyone with kids knows is a miracle alone! The gravy for the biscuits and gravy is one of the most unique and tasty ones I have had with its andouille sausage twist. Be sure to add brisket for the true chef's kiss experience. Overall, very tasty and cool vibe place. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Galveston.

There's plenty of free parking out on the street and the location is very close to a lot of nice places on the west side of the strand. We came in to get a quick bite to eat before going to our Red Light District tour and the staff was friendly and quick to have our food out. When you come in, it does feel like a nicer spot but with casual feels! As for the food, I will say that the pizza was very delicious! Crunchy on the outside with fresh ingredients! Definitely recommend this to people just want to try something different.

The food is incredible. I highly recommend the Brie app or the bacon wrapped dates. Delish! The drinks are amazing too, but they are pricey. It's bar service which I wasn't expecting for the prices or ambiance. It definitely gives bar vibes. If you haven't been, def check it out.

Waffles were fabulous? Chicken was tender, waffle had a good flavor. The whipped butter/cream was the cherry on top. The fruit on my friend's waffle was quite sweet. Potatoes and scrambled eggs were on point.

My Leeland House review originates around four years ago after a night out in Galveston. My friends and I had tried just about every hangover brunch on the island, but once we found Leeland House, we never went anywhere else!!!Throughout our four years at UTMB, we've been here more times than I can count. It became our tradition after a night out and something I genuinely look forward to every weekend. The food is consistently delish and the portions are great. A few favorites are the brisket hash, seasonal salads, and the mimosa flights. The staff is also the best. We've gotten to know many of them, and even become friends with a few over the years. (Special shoutout to Jayden, Veronica, & Cece) The morning we all went our separate ways after med school, we met at Leeland House for one last brunch before leaving town and it felt like a fitting way to wrap up four years of memories. If you're looking for a brunch spot you'll keep coming back to, this is it. We certainly did!

    Pistachio matcha latte and migas
    Sandra K.

Service was amazing. Hands down. Pistachio matcha latte was also a winner. The migas were okay. We were told it was homemade brisket which I think knowing they made it more sad. It wasn't really a stunning brisket flavor and more so just flakes of beef. There were SO MANY CHIPS in my migas. It was three layers of chips that covered the entire bottom.

After reading multiple reviews and comparing it to other local seafood restaurants in Galveston, we knew we had to go. We were seated with my Service dog, no problem. Mike immediately came and delivered water. It was hot outside. The decor is inviting and the bar area looked well stocked. We began with cocktails xtra Dirty Martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives and for my husband a Maker's Mark bourbon . This gave us time to look over this incredible menu! Seafood is what we came for so we ordered 2 sharable items: soy, ginger octopus on crispy wonton and roasted beat walnut and fried goat cheese salad. We could have stopped there completely wowed. Both if us love Texas Redfish and it's so hard to get fresh seafood where we live so that caught our eyes. Husband ordered blackened and redfish over mushroom risotto and French style green beans. I could not resist a similar item blackened redfish over mushroom risotto and asparagus. We both were over the moon with the meaty blackened redfish FLAVORS! Risotto was perfectly cooked al dente and both veg choices were the perfect accompaniment! Honestly it had been a ling time since we had such a beautiful meal. Service was outstanding and he even picked up on a comment by my husband encouraging me to order whatever I wanted given it was a birthday dinner. So I was completely delighted when Mike showed up with the final surprise a Creamy NY style cheesecake. So I guess what I'm trying to say is this place was outstanding. Our lunch was absolutely delicious. Here's the rundown: 1 appetizer of ahi tuna won-ton, 2 raw oyster samplers, 2 Galveston Island Brewing blondes, 1 dirty gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, and one to-go bottle of Cat Five hot sauce. I am not a huge fan of tuna, but this ahi/poke style of tuna with actual umami flavor elevates a mild sushi gateway fish to something yummy. The oysters were a delight. Shucks has a color coded system in place to help you identify which oysters are which, but my tired old eyes can't seem to make their system work. I did have two favorite kinds but could not tell you what they were. No matter, they were all superior - and small like east coast/ Canadian bivalves are. Dan's beer was tasty and swillable and my martini was appropriately dirty. We got the hot sauce because you can never have enough condiments and cats were referenced in its name. Our server was friendly and efficient. Interesting to me, I was mildly making fun of their music selection and soon after it changed. Coincidence? Dunno, but I appreciated the change to Motown! Bottom line. So, so enjoyable and something we don't do too often these days. It was an expensive meal, but worth the splurge.

Our waiter was super friendly, and the service was excellent. We started off our meal with the fried mushroom appetizer. Usually, when you order fried mushrooms, you get an entire mushroom dipped in breading and fried. Here the mushrooms are chopped into chunks before breading and frying. It came with both marinara and ranch for dipping sauces. We loved having the smaller chunks, because if you've ever eaten fried mushrooms, you know that when you bite into them , the juice can sear your mouth. By using smaller chunks, it was much easier to eat, especially when piping hot.
