Yep this is the right spot and I love the food We went here on Christmas Day ! Ambiance is a "Grab and Go" place Service was fast clean and kind people !!!

Boston Creme donut lacked custard. 3 stars

Cool little donut shop in San Leandro. Stopped for a quick snack to satisfy my sweet tooth after visiting the dentist. Hey, I had NO cavities so I deserved the treat!! Bought a Boston Creme donut. The custard to donut ratio was lacking. Took a few bites before I finally bit into some custard. Always disappointing when they lack custard. Boston Creme donuts are my all-time favorite kind of donut! Service was good, and the shop appeared pretty clean. I'd give them another try.

    Breakfast sandwich w/ hot chocolate!

It was early in the morning, on the road again, my bf and I were in the mood for some hot chocolate!! Since it was really cold out and needed something to heat us up! I think I got my bf into drinking hot chocolate rather than his coffee lol. He loves hot chocolate as much as I do now! I ordered myself hot chocolate to see if they had good hot chocolate. My bf ordered a ham and Swiss croissant which he liked. I ordered myself a donut since I'm not really a breakfast person like my bf. The hot chocolate was good nothing really that stands out to me really but I still enjoyed my drink! Definitely will come by whenever I'm close by and need me some hot chocolate to warm me up!

I got a bagel sandwich with bacon, cheese and egg. It was pretty blah and not very flavorful. But the employees were friendly.

It's hard not to notice the popularity of this donut and breakfast sandwich shop when a fire truck stops in for a donut run. Open at 0400 am during the weekdays, it's convenient for us late night workers or those early morning commuters. Friendly staff with a good variety of fresh made donuts and huge breakfast croissants stuffed with meats of your choosing, eggs and cheese. I got my fill and sweet tooth fix for the day! Bookmarking this early open donut shop for my need to feed moments at 0400 am!

This is a small deli shop in Davis St. We discovered this one while looking for another sandwich shop. They offer donuts, sandwiches, croissants, coffee - typical deli place. We arrived around 11ish, they were almost done with their morning business. We were helped by Sofia that day. Stopped there to get the sandwich - they ran out of grilled chicken, so had to settle for a veggie sandwich. She was quite fast, asked me the type of bread for sandwich and made the sandwich in no time. There was fine collection of donuts on display. Very tempting to be honest. The donuts were glazed to perfection that we couldn't resist buying half a dozen of them. She packed the donuts in a typical deli fashion. I payed using apple pay. Looks like they charge additional fee for the credit card payments. The sandwiches were great. Nothing fancy about it, but it turned out to be delicious. Toasted well, filled with the veggies and avocados. Donuts were amazing too. Best part was they were not very sweet. Picked up 3 different varieties and they all turned out to be really good. This place is like a hidden gem. Small but really worth the attention. The service is also really good. It's part of a small shopping strip. So parking is limited. Other than it, everything is good about this place.

Their donuts are massive compared to other donut shops ! I love how they slice their donuts in half to make sure you have a good amount of fillings ! High recommend coming here the staff were all super nice and sometimes they give you extra donut holes !

I live only about a mile from this store after living in San Leandro for 20 years now I never actually tried their donut. I tell you this morning was the best decision: my $1.65 chocolate bar was probably the best one I've had so far. It perfectly coated and the bread is rich and not airy. Prices are reasonable compared to other hole in the wall spots. It is only 7am and I'm full. I will definitely get my next few donuts here. I'll be a regular customer.

This is the second time I have been here as well and as far as donuts go, they are your typical place. However what I did like is that they accepted a wide variety of credit cards! I use amex for most of my business travel and most donut places won't accept it. Another thing I really loved is the wide variety of breakfast sandwiches that they had! I totally got a Ham, Egg, Cheese, Sausage croissant; and this puppy was huge! Definitely enough to feed two people!

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

The Marketing Trap is Real (But the Service is Great!) I had…read moreabsolutely no intention of stopping by Peet's today, but their marketing team definitely knows what they are doing! I got a "spend $6, get $3 off" promo in my app since it had been a while, and it lured me right through the door. My goal was to stay as close to that $6 mark as possible to practically get a freebie. I originally ordered a large drink and a pastry, but when the total hit $12, I had the barista knock the drink down to a medium to save a few bucks. After the discount, I walked out spending $8. Sneaky marketing--they got me to spend money I hadn't planned on! For my order, I tried the Iced Lavender Vanilla Matcha. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the spot, so I only drank about half of it. I also grabbed a Lemon Blueberry Danish. Now, I have a personal rule about "open-air" pastry cases--if food is sitting out all day, it's an open invitation for gnats or flies to dance all over it! Usually, I prefer when they pull a fresh one from the back wrap counter. When I noticed the barista pull mine straight from the display, I asked her about it. She was sweet and assured me everything was fresh and they didn't have a gnat problem right now, so I decided to take a chance since she was warming it up. Sadly, the danish wasn't very delicious either, and I only ate a few bites. Even though the food and drink were a miss for me today, I still love coming into this Peet's. The atmosphere is always so incredibly calm and peaceful, and the baristas are always so friendly, upbeat, and polite. I'll definitely be back for my usuals, but I'll probably pass on the lavender and the display case next time!

Guava cheese pastry has guava jam inside. Not much filling but the flavor is quite strong. No cheese to speak of. Mango custard bun smells strongly of mango but the flavor is more subtle. It's mango all throughout though. Coconut bun was by far the strongest flavor, really generous amount of creamy custard coconut filling. Matcha red bean roll is filled with whipped cream. It has the green tea flavor but it's very subtle. The red bean is few and far between. The choco bun was chocolatey, with a pudding consistency of filling. The bun had a cocoa flavor. Strong flavor of chocolate throughout. The Hokkaido bun was filled with whipped cream which was unexpected. Underneath the cream is some sort of white bean paste The cream filling is like a really good hostess filling. It's self serve. A lot of similar places have you grab the pastries with tongs, but here they put them in plastic which is a relief in terms of germ spreading potential. Line went quickly. Tons of options. Tons of savories too and lots of drinks. They were constantly replacing and bringing out fresh pastries. They did so 3-4 times in the 10 mins we were there so you know when you go the pastries won't be stale or old.

It gives off such a welcoming, community-centered vibe -- like they genuinely want people to come in, enjoy good food and drinks, hang out, relax, and just have a good time. I was indecisive while ordering because there's just too many goodies to choose from and IK that can be annoying, but we had great service because the guy that took our order was patient and seen that my struggles was most definitely real . We ordered mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, curly fries, and two large Thai teas -- one with green apple jelly topping, which paired sooo well to me hehe. We don't eat out much because we cook at home nowadays, so when we do, we wanna enjoy the classics lol. It's actually really cool seeing how the place has evolved over the years. The very first time we came, the back area looked like this cute little library/study hall/tutoring/game/hangout room. Then a couple years into the COVID days, it turned into a unique snack and gift shop vibe. Now it's this awesome mini arcade/lounge setup with comfy seating, sports on TV, and really great food (savory & sweets) and drinks. And the food is SOLID. Even on my last mozzarella stick, I still had a cheese pull -- and it had already been at least like 20-30 minutes. That says a lot on the quality. What also makes this place stand out is the little acts of kindness. Part of their service is while we were already getting busy, grubbing, they randomly offered us a complimentary yummy, soft, and fluffy eggette on a stick with their condensed milk sauce, which gave me that feeling like how a love one would just randomly give something very sweet just because. I don't go out much anymore, but if I'm craving for some outside sweets and treats oh and almost forgot to mention how pretty affordable for the quality and portions we got for our meal, I'm def bringing my nieces n nephews here when they visit! I love the different chairs, décor, games, ambiance, food, and drinks! They keep everything so clean, neat, and organized at the station from where you sanitize your hands, grab your napkins, straws and condiments-- it genuinely feels like there's something here for everyone. You HAVE to find at least one thing you'll enjoy here!
