I was under stress from a broken air conditioning unit on a super hot day. Joey was the representative for the company that came out. He was courteous, skilled, and is an excellent communicator. He really took his time to explain what was happening with my unit. The situation looked very bleak for me because I have a relatively old unit. So more to be done. However, I am so grateful that the temperature in my house is dropping!!!!! I was in a desperate situation so I did not acquire a series of quotes. But I later found out that they did give me a fair rate for their temporary fix for that day. But I didn't care for the way they started with a high quote for a unit replacement first. They should have recommended the battery replacement first. I might have accepted their high bid but I could not afford it. And later, after comparison, I found out that it doesn't need to be replaced. It just needs regular maintenance. And sure in the next 7 or 8 years, yes. We would rate our experience with Lee's a 1 out of 5, but you can judge for yourself based on the following information: 1) the price we were originally quoted by Lee's representative increased when we got their formal estimate; 2) it was originally requested that we pay off the entire price of the new unit immediately after the work was completed, which we found out was before the city had even approved the permit for the work, which thankfully we did not do; 3) the company that requested the permit from the city on Lee's behalf told us that the initial permit request was made after the work had been completed; 4) we were told via email by Lee's that completing the work before a permit was officially issued was a common occurrence and did not pose any compliance issues, which was contradicted by the city's Building Division; 5) the original permit submitted to the city for the work involved only included the A/C unit (with an estimated valuation of $5,000), well under the $14,152 cost of the new A/C unit and furnace, and after we informed the city of this, they required Lee's to revise their permit to accurately reflect the higher valuation of the work involved, which required Lee's to pay a higher permit fee; 6) on more than one occasion the workers knocked on our door to do work before the time scheduled per an email from the company; and 7) despite the fact that we were told that we would be getting one of Lee's best installation teams for our new HVAC system, the city inspector had to come back two additional times after his first inspection of the installation to ensure that Lee's had corrected certain items before giving final approval of the work. read more

Last Friday I noticed I had water in my ducting. After ServPro assessed the mold and damage in the ceiling and closet of my home, I knew I would have to get the ducting fixed. The problem was that this was a Friday night. I was desperate to find a 24 hour HVAC service. I called a couple and got no answer, or told they couldn't get to the emergency. I looked some more on Yelp and that's when I found Lee. He picked up, super personable and genuinely concerned about my problem. Lee had me wait on the phone while he contacted his main guy Jose and they fit me in their schedule the following day. Jose arrived, I explained the situation and he was off. He fixed everything that was wrong with the unit. It ran perfect after, but there was still a problem. There was still water in the air ducts. I had a water pump, so Jose and his guy and myself removed 25 gallons of water from the ducting. Lee would call me throughout the job a couple times to inform me of what was going on. That was Saturday. Lee had Miguel come to the house the following Monday and this young man, by himself, did an excellent job of replacing 25 feet of drenched molding, even elevating the ducting off the attic floor. The technician Joey came to service a very old A/C unit, 1990. I was quoted a finance rate of 1.25% for up to 10years. After replacement of A/C and furnace, Lee, the owner said it was 5.99% for 3 years. He apologized for his representative, Joey, for the error. The 1.25% was for 18 months. Joey never said anything about 18 months. The install was great, quick, and clean-up was fantastic. I did not understand factor rate of 1.25% nor was it explained to me. At 67, I have never heard of it when signing a contract. That's on me for not doing due diligence. I was offered $250 off loan to take this review down. The best I can figure is the actual cost of the loan to be 8.33%. I'll let you know when paperwork comes in. read more
