I have been spoiled by China Delight. . We ate here with my aunt. And sat in the bar portion, so we had one bartender for the whole bar. We waited probably a total of 45 minutes to get our order taken, our food brought to us, and plates. The food was pretty gross, my fiancee got orange peel beef and it tasted like candy. My fiancee has a sweet tooth and so does my aunt so they both liked it. However being as I have taste I hated it. My garlic chicken and mushroom was okay, kinf of bland. I have been coming to this restaurant practically since birth. I had to finally come to the realization after my last visit that despite the nostalgia a meal here evokes, the food quality makes a return unlikely. I don't know if it has declined over the decades or if I just didn't know any better from the beginning, but the older and wiser more objective me is no longer in love with fare served up on their combination platters or anything else for the matter. You may be better off eating out of a can, or hell they may be serving you from a can, but one thing I do know is you would be better off eating frozen Chinese food from Trader Joes or Costco. read more

Been going here for years, dine-in and take-out. Love their fried shrimp. The chow mein seems to take over the plate in combination dinners, regardless of the type. Just introduced my girlfriend to it, and now we have a new destination for Chinese food. read more

Everyone has their favorites dishes at any restaurant. I don't love every thing I have had here, but I am figuring out what are my favs. Just because a dish does not appeal to you, does not make it "bad." I like Lees. My only complaint is it gets too loud with the staff yelling at each other and the constant vacuuming the dining room floor. Give Lee's a try. read more

The food is so-so and the service is horrible. We ate there once and it was decent, but nothing great. A few months later we got some won top soup for take out (which took 20 minutes to get). When we arrived home we realized the soup had been put into cardboard to-go containers, and the broth had completely leaked out into the plastic bag. We had a bag of soup and a leaky to-go box with mushrooms, peapods, and chicken in it. When I called to tell them, they insisted that's how they always do it and they were sure it didn't leak. I had a kitchen counter and pants full of hot broth, and they were sure it didn't leak. After several minutes of explaining the situation, the woman reluctantly said I could come back up for another one. I was not in the mood for two bags of soup. I had to talk to several people just to get a refund on the $7 bag of soup and they were rude the entire time. Never again. read more

Love this place. Best sesame chicken I have ever had. The noodles are excellent also, although it does take a while for them to com out. The service is always friendly and this place is packed for lunch. Weird but the steak is really good along with their crab puffs. All in all this place is delicious and I try to eat here at least every other week. read more

I was sad when Mr. Lee sold the restaurant and doubted if the quality and generous portions and freshness would be sustained. I am happy to report that the quality and freshness has survived. The generous portions have declined a bit as the plates are not "FULL" but still plenty of food. I've been going here for over ten years and never - ever - had a less than great meal. read more

I love Chinese food, but I generally have a hard time finding a good Chinese food restaurant. Lee's Kitchen is delicious and affordable. The restaurant is right on the Commons (man made lake in Tualatin), and has great lunch specials, as well as generous portions for the price. My favorites are the chicken lo mein, general tso chicken, and orange chicken. The lunch comes with a free cup of soup and tea. read more

this place to me is okay...... nothing special nothing remarkable. Though it does have the distinction of not cooking with peanut oil so my friends who are allergic have no fears of eating here... so it gets points for that........ I have eaten here with a friend a couple times and found their food edible but not remarkable. I then went here with my boyfriends mom and she loved it!!! her food smelled and tasted wonderful my food on the other hand was meh...... so I think it really is hit or miss with this...... if possible I would have given this 2.5 stars since I think it sits squarely between meh and okay.... since I cant I will round up since it was not horrible. Just not my style or taste...... I have a thousand other places I will go before I come here on my own..... but if my boyfriends mom wants to come here I will join her and not complain.... read more

My adult children took me to Lee's at my request. The company I worked for had previously have an event catered by them and the food was delicious. I was thrilled to have the chance to enjoy their Chinese dish's once more. When we arrived there were very few dining and no one in line but were asked to wait to be seated which was fine. It took about 10 minutes before all the ladies behind the counter finished and one seated us next to the kitchen and in direct line of the cold wind blowing in the front door. I decided I would just try to eat with my coat on since I was excited for wonderful food. We gave our order and waited for our food for at least 45 min. There was only one other family and they were finishing. Another larger family came in 20 minutes behind us and food was taken to their table long before ours. I thought maybe they had phoned in ahead of time. Never the less my disappointment grew. Our waitress was moving tables and sweeping out from under them as we waited. When our food finally came. One egg foo young patty on a plate by itself smothered in gravy was dropped, literally on to our table. It sat there as we waited another 10 to 15 minutes for food to very slowly arrive. The food was nothing like the food prepared for my work event. After trying the egg foo young it was raw inside with no taste and soggy. My daughter got the beef won ton soup with what appeared to be raw beef, the egg rolls were terrible and would not even stay together long enough to pick up. I asked for the egg foo young to be taken away with only two bites out of it. When the bill came it took the waitress talking to 2 different people to subtract $1.00 from my bill. We were there from 7:00 pm until almost 9:00 pm due to the wait time, poor service, terrible food, entitled attitude from management, and the need to clean more than wait on customers. It was truly a Mother's Day disappointment. read more

My son called and invited me for lunch. Lee's is a block away from his work so I met him and we walked over. The hostess/waitress sat us and took quite some time to come take our order. It wasn't busy only one other table in the place. She passed by us with our menus on the edge of the table. Several times we said excuse me and she kept on walking. Finally came and was rude. Geez, what happened here. Just stopped in for lunch. Wish I had gone home instead. Not happy. Got lunch to go, so by the time I got home I certainly wasn't going to drive back to send the food back to the kitchen. I ordered sweet and sour pork. What I got was lumps of fried bread with a sauce on them. I opened 11 of these lumps, but did not find anything in them but bread! Rice was not fried or re fried. Just plain rice. Hugh spring rolls, again mostly bread covered with the same sauce. This place used to be so good, but not now. Personnel not friendly, rather curt. I'd rather go anywhere else. read more

Possibly the worst hot and sour soup I have ever had, definitely worse than the kind you make out of a packet from the grocery store. It was extremely salty, very bland, and not spicy at all. There were probably 3 pieces of tofu and maybe 5 small pieces of chicken in the entire large sized container, not to mention they use canned mushrooms and canned water chestnuts. We went there for dinner around 7pm. First it took about 10 mins for someone to take our order and we did not receive our appetizers until after 8. It was at least 8:15 before we received our entrees. The woman also forgot to bring us rice. The biggest disappointment was that they started vacuuming the other dinning room while we were still eating. And not with the soundless sweeper vacuum, but a full size and very loud vacuum. After waiting this long, you would expect the food to be hot when it came out. It wasn't. As for the food. It was just okay. I've tasted better from the mall. 2 words....CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Basically, there is none at this place. Let's start in the bar. The Karaoke is fun and the gentleman running that does a good job. However the service SUCKS!! If you're not at the bar, don't expect to EVER get a drink. The bartender never comes to check on you....and the restaurant is too cheap to have a server. The bartender on duty most nights I'm in there seems genuinely bothered when you ask her for a drink. I observed she provided excellent service to the people she knew in the bar. To us she was rude and mean. Now for the restaurant itself. The food here is OK....which is the only reason for the lone star in this review. I called a few times to take out. First of all, the lady who took my order makes it obvious she'd much rather not even be there. Very rude. I do realize there may be a bit of a language barrier.....but how about a smile once in a while? A hello and thank you wouldn't hurt either. I just feel like I'm not repected as a customer when I come here. I think this young lady would be better served working behind the scenes like in the kitchen. I have had some good food here in the past, but the to-go dinner I picked up tonight was pretty bad. The fried shrimp was tasty but had a ton of batter on it. One shrimp looked like a deep fried star fish and easily had enough batter for the whole order. The sesame chicken was the best thing in the dinner. The pork chow mein was pretty much just huge pieces of celery and bean sprouts and tiny pieces of meat I guess to be pork, looked more like overcooked hamburger, and tasted like Cambells beef soup. Speaking of pork, the BBQ pork was dry and overcooked and I suspect it was yesterdays leftover's.It might have been good if it hadn't been over cooked. Oh , and the pork fried rice was very plain and if it contained any pork it was well hidden. read more

I have been a fan of Lee's kitchen for over 20 years. Back then the food was delicious. I think they changed owners or something like that because its slowly gone down hill over time. I was there earlier this week and appalled at the service we received. The waitress was very rude, slammed our food and drinks on the table! She did not ask how we were doing, during our meal! Although she paid special attention to the people drinking alcohol.. Better tips I suppose. The food was good but due to the awful service I will not be going back! Sad but true. read more

I call in my order and am told "30 minutes." I show up 30 minutes later to pick it up and end up waiting 15-20 minutes for them to put it together. Are they concerned that people won't show up for the order so they don't start it until you get there? After having this happen about 5 times in a row, I've decided to go elsewhere. read more
