I've been going to this place for a few years. But since moving across town, I haven't been going here as often as I used to. One thing I noticed is the amount of meat in the sandwiches is much less than before. I always ordered the #5 and #6 Asian pork sandwiches. The taste is pretty consistent but the amount of meat varies from each sandwiches. I was really disappointed to have just a few small pieces of meat with my sandwich today. I feel like I was ripped off and didn't get what I paid for. $21 for 2 sandwiches that's just mostly bread and some carrots. I probably won't be going back anytime soon. Too bad. read more

i've been here a handful of times and it's actually the worst place ever. I've been to SUBWAYS on the eastside with better service than here, first of all they take 15 years to even take your order, and ignore you completely as well like i get it do what you have to do but not even a 'ill be right with you' is crazy. If it's that inefficient with just 3 customers in store i cant imagine how insufferable it is to get a simple sandwich during lunch rush. Maybe it'd be worth it if the sandwiches were anything above the disgusting mess that it is they serve barely warm sandwiches with hard meat.... but overall if you're looking for a sandwich shop that will serve your order 8 years too late and microwaved for .4 seconds this is the perfect place for you! seriously when sandwiches is the only thing on your menu how are you that inefficient at it? its just meat cheese and sauce ?? read more

This lees location is the best in my opinion! The people that work here are always so sweet and helpful, they really make you feel welcomed when you come here. I came in with my two sons and the lady at the register was so sweet with them, and the man that was making the sandwiches stopped to help me carry my food to the car since my hands were full with the kids. I've been craving banh mi and usually get it on the other side of town. But I moved to Henderson recently and decided to take a chance on Lee's. The place was very clean and the staff is friendly. There were only 2 people working and they were busy. I ordered the Dac Biet (special) and Xiu Mai (meatballs). The bread was perfect, not too hard or soft. Growing up, it was way too hard and would cut the roof of my mouth. The downhill is what I think to be the pickled veggies. They were bitter! I thought there were issues with the sandwich and wondered if it was my taste buds? But both sandwiches were bitter. Once I threw all the veggies out, it was delicious! The other thing was the canned soy milk. I love soy milk and have to drink it when I eat banh mi. They didn't have any fresh ones so I grabbed 2 cans. When I opened it, I realized the can was half frozen. When I took a sip of it, it was so freaking sweet. I poured it into a cup of ice to dilute it and let the can melt so I can drink it later. Well that was a mistake too because it was mostly water. So I guess the sweetened part was on top of the can and the rest was just ice. Why did they freeze it? I won't go back to Lee's. Came here today (June 25th) and there was a young man behind the counter and a lady that both helped me. They informed me that they are new owners, and took over the restaurant almost two weeks ago. So any reviews prior to that are got the most part, irrelevant. I was trying to redeem my Epoxy points, and was at $58. That's when she told me they no longer participate in that points program but seeing how much I've spent, she would comp my $10 meal for free. That is outstanding customer service. Not just a sandwich shop!!! I've passed by this place for years and always thought it was just a sandwich shop. We finally decided to try it and I'm glad we did. The staff was so nice, I didn't see a name tag but the gentlemen working the front was awesome! The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. We tried a grilled pork bahn mi, chicken nuggets & fries for the lil one, chicken wings, eggrolls, and spring rolls. We noticed lots of people getting the iced coffee so we got one as well. It's probably the best one in town. We've also tried their regular Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it was so good! Mmmmm, after smelling the bread when we walked into Lee's sandwiches we had to get three baguettes and of course asked for them to be made fresh. While waiting less than 10 minutes for the bread, I perused the counter and looked over some other goodies they had. On one wall above the drink refrigerators they have a huge picture of the Eiffel Tower that will make you miss Paris. Lots of sandwich options and baked goods available. The clerk said three baguettes and I asked for a bag to retain some of heat. The bread smelled so good I had ripped off an end and was sharing it before we walked out the door! I think this is the second or third time I've been to a Lee's Sandwiches, but I guess there's a reason why I never really cared to go back. The baguette itself was a decent size for me and the bread was toasted well, but my friends all said the whole size of the sandwich was a lot smaller than they've gotten in California. The weird thing about walking into this place is we arrived basically when the place opened, yet they put out signs saying "no breakfast is being served." What??? That's like almost a third of the menu though... Good thing I didn't care for breakfast. The front cashier worker also had no idea what was in the sandwiches apparently either. I asked what was in the combo sandwiches - literally couldn't understand what she was saying (no hate on her accent or anything, but it doesn't help when you're not even sure what kind of meat they are, nor can you properly say what's in it in case I was interested in ordering it). I ordered the grilled pork, which it definitely could've been packed a lot more. I've had Lee Sandwiches before, but mostly in southern California. For the most part they're all consistent. There are better places I've had banh mi sandwiches, but unfortunately they're all out in Westminister, CA.This one location in Henderson was just okay. I always liken Lee's to something like a fast food place. Think McDonald's for burgers. Not the best burgers in the world, but they get the job done. Whatever you get is what you would expect. Meat and some veggies between two pieces of bread. I was mainly in the plaza to get some milk tea from Brew Tea and it was in the afternoon and was really thinking of ramen at Monta Chaya, but they hadn't opened yet so I defaulted to Lee's. I went with their #11 Special Combination Asian Sandwich. It was okay meat tasted fine, bread was crunchy, but not abrasive. The ingredients were a little skimpy though. Veggies were also fine. Overall the sandwich and a few other Lee's sandwiches I've tried were just down the middle "okay". They fill you up and that's about it. I don't think I'll be heading back to Lee's unless it was more of a last option or I'm feeling lazy. P.S. (not that it matters) I did end up going to Brew Tea for some delicious Matcha green tea with milk less ice less sweet. read more

I'd say 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars, actually, I'd be ok with4 too... Today was one of the better sandwiches (grilled chicken banh mi) I've had there. Yummy! The service is always great, the only reason for the bummer is the boba. I always get the coffee with boba. But their boba is so big and slightly overcooked and mushy, that it gets stuck in the straw. The kind that you're gonna give yourself a head implosion to get it up the straw. AND, it still doesn't work, so you either try to blow it back down, or, take the cover off and suck it from the other side. It's a consistent issue which is frustrating. But easily remedied my just not adding boba I guess? I also tried the breakfast sandwich #80 - ham, egg and cheese on a croissant, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Not as tasty, and because I took it home and it's a hot sandwich, it was soggy by the time I ate it. The croissant was also pretty stodgy too - lol. Been watching too much GBBS. read more

Staff was very sweet, but I should've checked my order. Thought I got 2 veggie sandwiches to go and when I got 100 miles down the highway and was really excited for my Lee's, realized they gave me 2 pork sandwiches. If you want a good sandwich with a fresh chewy baguette, then this is the place. Their Banh mi hit the spot. We got the BBQ pork and grilled pork. The bbq pork is char siew, which I wasn't expecting, but it was good, and I liked it better than the grilled pork. The grilled pork didn't seem to actually be grilled, it didn't have any glaze or char to it. The banh mi could have used more filling - my first bite from the end on both sandwiches barely had any. A Lees sandwich in your neighborhood! I love this place. It was a miracle when Lee's Sandwich came to town but it seemed like overnight the love fizzled. I always enjoy visiting this spot and they are always prompt with good service. But unfortunately I don't see many people frequenting this spot! I hope more people come here because they do a great job at what they do. If you're in the mood for Banh Mi or need a quick meal this is a great choice. They are known to make fresh baked baguettes and croissants, they offer breakfast sandwich that is serve all day, and they have beverage like Italian Soda, Vietnamese Coffee, Iced Mocha, Thai Iced Tea, and they make refreshing Smoothies. In addition, they have a small section where you can purchase Asian snacks and additional drinks like Arizona Tea, Coconut Water, Coca Cola, and Energy Drinks. They maintain the place so clean and they do provide friendly service. You can dine in comfortably and watch TV while enjoying your meal. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($4.75) Euro Style ($1.80) with Lettuce, Tomato, American Cheese, Mayo, and it comes with a side of red onion, two pickle spear, pepperoncini, and mustard. The Euro Style sandwich is serve on a 10-inch baguette, which I think is a huge serving at an affordable price, but I could only finish half of it. The chicken, however, taste like it wasn't cook long enough. I felt like the meat has no flavor and there are just a few pieces of chicken. The texture of the baguette taste dry and the bread crumbles leaving a mess. There is little mayo in the sandwich, it would have been better if there is more dressing because the bread is thick. And I would have enjoy the sandwich if there is more meat and if the chicken is properly grilled and serve hot. On a brighter note, I did try the Chicken Pate Chaud ($2.25) which is a Vietnamese golden puff pastry filled with ground chicken. The pastry is so soft and buttery and the meat filling is very tasty. If I knew the pastry is good, I would have ordered two instead of one. Also I had a Papaya and Mango smoothie ($5.29) and the drink taste so good! I can taste the Mango fruit and its natural sweetness. I wouldn't mind coming back for more of the delicious pastry and to try a different flavor drink. And considering how reasonable the price is for a sandwich, a person can definitely get full ordering a 10-inch baguette. On my next visit I would probably go for a small order, maybe a banh mi or a croissant. Hopefully the next sandwich will taste much better. read more
