    Biscoff Iced Coffee

Pretty good Vietnamese coffee. I got the biscoff coffee and the cream is the biscoff flavoring, which is very light. The worker made it quickly which was nice. However for the price of $8.50, I would go somewhere else.

Soooo trying out this "viral" biscoff coffee and it's at the Berryessa location now thought it would be hella good but....it was mid 8/10....will I get it again....maybe.

    Checking out Lee's in Berryessa!

I stumbled upon Lee's Sandwiches on my way to SJC airport while the kiddos wanted Taco Bell that was tight beside it. I have heard about Lee's, especially their coffee, but have never been to one until now. Located off the Berryessa exit on 680, it's has sufficient parking and signage that you can't miss it. The place is big, clean and lots of offerings. There is a dine in area with a wide screen TV to watch. As you walk in there is a mini mart of vietnamese goods. The gentleman at the register was very helpful as I asked about the sandwiches. In the end, I stuck with my favorite Pork and Pate combo, #11 on the menu. It's the only sandwich that you can purchase as a half too. I noticed a rice wrapped item on a warmer, and was told it was stuffed with ground beef in it. Out of curiosity, I bought one. My order would not be complete if I didn't get Lee's famous iced coffee! The sandwich is definitely 2 servings, and was good. I just wished that there was a little more pate than just a smear. The rice item was warm delicious! It was like a sticky rice you find at a dimsum place without being wrapped in a leaf. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture. Iced coffee is strong and sweet, as expected from a Vietnamese coffee. I added more ice to dilute it for my taste. Although they have several locations in Northern CA, mostly are in the San Jose (South Bay) area while there are 3 locations in the SF Bay Area. I will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Service was amazing, super fast. A few people here, like a steady 5 or 6 coming and going. They have lots of snacks here and candies too. Plenty of drinks in the cooler to choose from. They have 3 large tvs playing various channels, right now its the morning news 23 bucks for breakfast and lunch for me today. The place was very clean and open layout which was nice.

This used to be one of the best sandwiches Lee sandwiches in San Jose . My stomach hurts just know I was seconds away of eating a fly I can feel the maggots now. Shame on yourself these sandwiches.

It's been a while since we've eaten Lee's Sandwiches after moving to Northern California since we don't have any in our little town. We ordered 2 Grilled pork and BBQ pork sandwiches....OFF THE HOOK GOOD!!!!! Salty sweet combination with the crisp veggies and fresh French baguettes leaves me craving Lee's more often.

I have been to Lee's several times in the past when I lived in this area. I am not a sandwich fan but I enjoy the Asian twist on these baguette sandwiches. I got a chicken sandwich this time around. The veggies were fresh and crisp with the cucumbers providing a cooling effect against the fiery jalapeno slices. The chicken was tough though as was the bread itself. It took some effort to chow it down. I didn't enjoy the hard chicken much. The store/cafe has some aisles of Asian groceries and some tables as well. They also have some prepackaged fresh food like noodles, rolls, rice etc for a quick grab and go at very reasonable prices.

Anytime I am in the San Jose area I have to make a stop at Lees Sandwiches. They have a huge selection of Vietnamese and European sandwiches. Today I tried the vegan fried chicken sandwhich, what I love a lot about lees if their fresh baked bread. The sandwich was super fresh, love biting into the hot fried "chicken" mixed with the cucumbers, pickled carrots and daikon and fresh jalapeño. It was the perfect mix of fresh, spicy and flavorful.

It's a Lees ... but we know they can vary. Good quality from this one the visits I have done this year since I discovered it. I go with the Special Combo with pate. This one has a good interior as well.

Picked up a sandwich for my mom. She only likes their grilled pork banh mi with no mayo or soy sauce. She can never get tired of them, as she says. The bread is always crunchy. The vegetables are fresh, and the pork is slightly sweet and nicely marinated. I flip flop between this one and their combination banh mi.

Ask the Community - Lee's Sandwiches

Is Vietnamese Coffee adjustable with espresso and sweetness? I ordered the "Ca Phe Sua Da" and it tasted like straight up mocha?

Yes, you can adjust the sweetness and bitterness. _ Tell the cashier to "make it strong" if you want more black coffee…

Do they have purple sticky rice?

No, they don't carry sweet sticky rice. They only carry "xoi man" - the savory sticky rice with grilled chicken and Chinese sausages.

Good news is the new owners have done a great job keeping up the same consistency that this sandwich shop is renowned for--same amazing bread, same menu, same ingredients. Service has been nice and efficient as well! What sets this place apart is the sourdough bread. It's some kind of secret family recipe from the original owner, you just can't find this kind of perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside sourdough sandwich bread anywhere! The bonus is the bread is usually hot and fresh out of their fast-firing oven so you get the absolute freshest bread in your sandwich. It's so good that they don't even allow you to buy it on it's own. They don't even need to sell it that's how much they go through. Since this place has so many reviews I won't beat to death what is already well known, instead I'll add a few Pro-tips from my years of experience devouring their sandwiches: * you can get the sandwich hollowed out! This means they take out the excess bread-y part of the inside of the baguette. This leaves a more manageable sandwich in my opinion. I prefer that crisp exterior and just a bit of the fluffy interior. I feel like it creates a more balanced sandwich overall. You can get both sides hollowed out or just one. Recommend trying it this way! Feels less heavy this way as well. * They give you a slight discount for cash. It's just under $20 for a sandwich, I usually get the garlic herb turkey sandwich. Price is honestly fair since it's a full meal and delicious. They also have chips and a good variety of drinks that go well with the sandwiches. I highly recommend trying the diet peach snapple, that flavor is so good! * They have some dipping sauces on the side, try the chili-garlic sauce, it goes so well with most of the sandwiches! * Don't get discouraged by the line out the door, it moves pretty fast!

It's nice to see owners work at times and treat their customers so genuinely! So thank you, Chris! The store is honestly decorated so well. There's details everywhere on the wall, and it's all dedicated to San Jose culture and first responders. The ambiance felt local and cool. Now for the food, my husband ordered the Build Your Own Sub with Pastrami and it was delicious! I ordered their new and off the menu French Dip sub with aus ju and IT WAS SO GOOD. Highly recommend to get it now while they have it! Special notes: - All subs are served hot! - They have a hot sauce bar with unique sauces all leveled off from (1-10). 1 = mild and 10 = spiciest! Nothing to brag about, don't let the sando sit around. Make sure you finish it all at once or it will get soggy... may be its because of the oil and vinegar dressing I opted for? Not sure... The wheat bread is a tad too sweet for my liking and the white bread is just plain and flavorless. I do wish they provided options like Sourdough or Dutch Crunch, which also happen to be healthier for you. I wanted to complain that they were expensive but then realized that's how it is everywhere now. That food inflation is no joke... I'd stop by if nothing was around. Not so sure I need to try other items on the menu.
