Came here on a day of beer tasting for my birthday. Unfortunately, most of the beers were not well received with our group of beer lovers. The Cherry Poppins is the worst beer that I have ever had--it tasted like chemicals, and it ruined my palate for additional sampling. :-( We did like the Voodoo Stout and the Asylum Belgian Tripel, but overall we were not impressed. The Geeks Who Drink trivia is a lot of fun, we would return for that, but we much prefer Docent and Lost Winds for SJC beer options. read more

A brewery in a business park? Sure, why not! Left Coast's tasting room feels like you are going to a business meeting, but the meeting is all about beer. I could definitely sit through a few of those brainstorming sessions. They have a wide selection of beers that span just about anyone's craft beer palate - super hoppy, Belgium style, red ales, barrel aged, etc. The tastings are a very good deal at 6 tastes for $10. When we went they also had other specials, like Red Tide 22oz bottles for an insanely low price of somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 (I may have had a few too many to remember the exact price, but it was really a good deal). The staff is friendly, but it's not the kind of place where you're going to be served at one of the tables. You order everything from the bar and if they're busy you may be waiting for a few minutes. Quite frankly best range of beers in Orange County. I like that they don't try too hard by having 30+ beers all of which suck. Trestles, Una Mas and Del Mar are my daily drinkers in the fridge. Anaheim chili beer is my favorite chili beer in So Cal. Tasting room is a bit Spartan but cozy and comes with a friendly staff. Gotta love them offering Yoga, however I have yet to try. Really great place hidden away behind the Oggi's offices. Sunday afternoon we were the only people there for a half hour. Good beer lineup, some nice barrel aged options that showed real craftsmanship. Excellent to taste side by side a beer before and after months of oak laiden love. Such a great find!! Came here a couple times with my other and we have absolutely added this place to our "go-to's" list. He's super into Voodoo (we always have a growler filled of this when we leave) and I like trying out the different ones each time. While we get the growler filled, we wait and enjoy a 10oz of something new. The atmosphere is super chill, not at all the "this place is way too cool for me" feeling that makes you want to run out. Little space within the industrial office park with some good brews and tasty pretzels, not sure I would go back unless I happened to be in the area again as there are much better breweries in North County San Diego where I reside. Hopefully they will grow or maybe catering to the locals around that area is all they want, it packed up nicely after they started pouring at four o'clock. This is my brother's local tasting room. My first visit 2-3 years ago was quite enlightening. I found one of my favorite LOCAL brewed beers around. We both did a flight of the many choices of brews. I settled on a pint of Boardwalk, my brother on an IPA. After the flight and the pint, my brother gave me the best advice possible. "If we have another, you need to decide if you want to walk out, or crawl out." I was able to walk out after the second pint but lets just say, he made his point. A completely non-pretenious tasting room. All money obviously goes into crafting the beer. I go whenever I get down there to see him. read more

Just tried this place tonight and it was great. When you first come in it has a nice open feel. You have big screens TV's along the bar and a open "garage"style patio. The food is unique and very tasty. The beer is incredible. The staff are also very freindly. Highly recommend this place to hang out, have a food beer, and eat some good food. read more

If you are in the vicinity of San Clemente stop by th Left Coast Brewing Company Tasting room. Lots of tasty micro-brews on tap. If you wander in on a Friday night you can get your dinner too. On Fridays they host a food truck and you can grab your dinner and bring it in to the tasting room with you. They get quality food trucks each week. Flights are 6 - 5oz tastes for $10. Can't beat that deal. I especially like Asylum which is a Belgian Triple and any of the stouts or porters they brew. They have 12 beers on tap and I have found very few I don't like. I was excited to visit a local brew pub before we event left for our trip and Left Coast Brewing was at the tip of my list. I don't know if the employees were having a bad day or it was the fact that I was wearing a sweatshirt that had the California (maybe showing I was not a local?) Or what?! The service was horrible! I felt like I was bothering the server by asking about a menu. She simply pointed to the chalk board showing the beers they had and IBU, etc. . No cost of merchandise or anything else. I did see a small chalk board with a list of merch behind the bar. I ordered a flight and as I was you going to reach for my first glass, I accidently spilled one on the floor. I went and told one of the employees of the accident and she sighed and gave me a wet rag that I thanked her for. I wiped off the table chair and even the floor. Surprisingly as a emplyoee walked right past. No offer to get a mop or wet floor sign. I had a very small sip of what was left of the 4 oz? glass, and it happened to be the best of all to me. I was going to order a pint a disregard the poor service, but when I approached the counter, the attitude was immediate. Truly sad! I really looked forward to checking this place out and even buying a hoody. I was so frustrated, I just paid my bill and left. No thank you, come again, are you from around here, anything. I did the accordingly to my regular norm. 18% despite service. I have lived on server income before so I give people the benefit of the doubt. From here, my wife and I were so disappointed, despite our desire to eat the delicious smelling BBQ from the food truck, we went to Pi1zzaport and turned our night around. I have been wanting to try this brewery and am so happy we finally went. They had so many options available that anyone would find a beer that they liked. We ordered the samplers, which I definitely recommend because it allows you to get a wide range of their beers and try new ones you have never tasted. Plus samplers are fun ! The facility itself was very well kept and the bathrooms were extremely clean. The servers and owners were also very friendly and will socialize with you at the bar. They also had multiple flat screen tv's with sports on. Very fun atmosphere and great beers! read more

Secondly, one of the owners was working while we were visiting, and he hooked it up with lots of tasters. And while I'm mostly an IPA fan, ALL of the beers here tasted great. I ended up buying their zip up hoodie, cause I loved their beer so much. We also took how two growlers (which by the way, their growlers cost $5). I will be back! Out of all the beers we tasted there was only one that I thought was really good it was a barrel aged about 10 percent can't remember the name they seem to have a lot of the Bavarian style beers which is not my style we got the sampler and I didn't get a couple of their IPAs cuz my wife doesn't like those and the ambience for a brewery is not there has been an industrial area which is not a problem but inside is a small bar small set of speakers no games I have just been to a lot of other breweries that have a better ambience. Everyone that was there while we were there which was about 4 or 5 couples stayed for like 1 sample and growler fill and looked like they were ready to leave its not really a place to hang out but not disappointed that I tried it. read more
