Soooo I went here as a walk in and I asked for flame design on my nails. At first I was hesitant about whether they could do it or not and I asked them and all they said was that it cost $25 extra. I showed them a pic of exactly how I wanted it and I was disappointed in the end. It wasn't like the picture that I showed them at all. Like I think it would've been nice if they told me they couldn't do it exactly like the picture from the beginning than to charge me $25 for something that doesn't even look like flames... at first it wasn't too bad until people kept asking me if it was a whale or a mermaid.. My total came out to be $75 with tip included but my nails are just not worth $75 at all... if you want to get nice designs (that need to be drawn) I would avoid coming here. My nails look great, however the service was disgustingly disappointing. When I arrived, the manager was very welcoming and friendly. I communicated that I was a new customer who made an appointment and he informed me of the services and got me situated immediately. When the technician who was providing my nail services on my hands arrived, she made no eye contact nor greeted me. I experienced very passive aggressive and rude behavior filled with micro aggressions from the nail technician who did my nails. I thought she was just having a bad day, but she was very rough and made comments to her colleague working next to me in her native tongue that were directed towards me and the Black woman sitting next me. Additionally, the woman who was working on my pedicure exhibited sarcasm when I wanted to clarify about a service I wanted to substitute. She made the comment that it was not included in my services, laughed, and made comments to the same technician providing services next to me. She did not even give me the option to substitute the service unknowingly I would pay. I did not want to interrupt the process and cause a scene, so I remained seated and let her complete the services. Lastly, at the end of my services I was given a receipt telling me I needed to pay and came back to put the top coat on my toes and assist me with my shoes. What I gathered from this experience is that unless you are of a certain race, you will not be treated with an equitable approach. There are biases that tarnish the customer's reputation before they even are greeted. I do not recommend anyone patronizing this location because of the behavior towards Black women I experienced and witnessed. read more

DEFINITELY COMING BACK!! I popped in for a last minute gel manicure on a Friday afternoon and was quickly greeted when I walked through the doors. Iris gave me a heads up about the benefits of Nexgen (dip powder) and how it was more durable and looked better. She had me sold and brought me the book of Nexgen colors. She did an inspection of my natural nails and asked me what I was looking for. Luckily, I still had a substantial length of my natural nail and she was able to file them to my preferred length and shape. I had broken my thumb nail the day before my manicure and she saved the day by adding a nail tip and blending it in to match the rest. My biggest thing about manicures is addressing my cuticles and she trimmed them for an additional $5.00 which was TOTALLY worth the extra charge. I walked out with a beautiful manicure after amazing customer service. I am writing this a week later and my nails STILL look great! read more

And I have to do extra bragging about Diamond. She did my nexgen set and it's clear that she's very experienced. Pros: The salon itself is beautiful, they offer beverages, were able to take me immediately as a walk in, and did a fantastic job on my toes. I got the milk and honey treatment with paraffin wax and was in heaven! Very reasonably priced. Cons: my entire manicure. 1) shape: I asked for round nails. Unfortunately, I was completely zoned out as I was getting my pedicure at the same time and needed to relax, so I wasn't watching how he was filing my nails. At the beginning, I asked for them to be just a bit shorter and he confirmed the length. That was not what I received. They were filed so short, it felt like I didn't have much nail left (similar to when you accidentally file your nails way too short and close to the skin, and can feel it constantly) In addition, he filed around my entire nail, rather then just the tip and a bite on the sides. Also, they weren't even filed straight. Several of my nails curved to the side. Please see picture for reference. 2) technique: I'm not sure what the technique used was, but the dip powder didn't adhere to my nail very well. I've never had that issue before. A couple days after getting my nails done, I was washing my hair and two of my nails just popped right off (please note that my job involves desk work - nothing that would be lifting objects and pulling the dip powder from my nail). Several other nails were lifting away at the base. When I went back in to get these redone, they hardly spent any time on them. The technique was better that time, but upon examining my nails, there were bumps from nail dust. I gave up and left. I hate leaving negative reviews, but wouldn't want anyone else to have this experience! read more

9/2/22 I was so looking forward to having a pedicure on my day off. My usual place could not get me in so I tried Legacy Nails. It started out promising until the technician cut too close and I said that hurt. She had me put my foot back in the water and I noticed her hand had red on it. I asked if that was blood and she said "no that's your nail polish." I had red nail polish that was removed. I took my foot out of the water and my toe was bleeding. I said "you cut me." She, a man (maybe owner) came over and tried to tell me it was because my feet were dry and my nails were thick. They told me this several times and I kept saying you cut me. I go every month to another place and this has NEVER happened. I had to ask for a bandaid. No one offered to do anything for me. I was crying and just wanted to leave, which I did. I went in for a mani/pedi and I am completely satisfied! I had Tracy working on my Nexgen manicure and she was absolutely wonderful. You can tell she really takes pride in her work, with her attention to detail and the care with which she handles your nails. After everything was dipped and dried, she came back to inspect, and she even took a cotton ball dipped in acetone to remove the leftover 'polish' from my skin. I cannot tell you how many times I have left the nail spa with my skin stuck to my nails with the glue, it felt like such a personal touch. Michelle was on my pedicure and her massage was amazing! She also was very delicate with my feet, not too rough when picking the dead skin off my cuticles and there was absolutely no bleeding or unnecessary skin cutting. I have been going to nail salons all around DFW, and I always wondered why every place I went to didn't have good service...until I came to Legacy Nails. I have visited this salon the last few times, and I've had such a lovely experience each and every time. The staff is so friendly, thoughtful, meticulous and are truly kind people. The atmosphere is so pleasant and clean, and you can tell that Legacy Salon cares about their work and their customers. I don't believe any of the false 1-star reviews on Yelp about their service because today the salon was a PACKED house, and you could see how much effort they put towards managing everyone, and even the owner and manager were helping out. Today, I saw firsthand, a woman with her young children give the staff so much attitude because they couldn't accommodate her with the limited space (they didn't even have an appointment on a busy Sunday morning before the first day of school), and the manager tried very hard to get a few chairs together to make sure that she was siting with her daughters, but this woman had thrown a fit, was so rude and walked out. Please, everyone, don't ever treat anyone with that much indecency, especially don't teach your children to treat anybody in the service industry like that. The staff here are humans too, and they are working hard and doing a fantastic job. I was just appalled that other people have that much entitlement to treat any business owner/employee like that. It is so rare to find a salon with such great service and kind staff, which is why Legacy Nails will be the only place I will go from now on.
