I am recommending this restaurant with some reservation. First, let me say the food was fabulous, especially the homemade pickle appetizer. Our four entrees were very good. Tremendous! Our wait person, Kierra, was absolutely amazing. Great sense of humor, accomplished, talented! We would go back because of her! That said, the experience started out very poorly. We arrived 30 minutes early for our afternoon reservation (we were traveling from out of town). The guy who was hosting was clearly annoyed. The bar area was not busy so we offered to simply sit at a high top there. He reluctantly said okay and as we approached, I asked if we could sit at the high top on the edge of a wall, not in the middle of the room. We are older and it's easier for us to hear. Let me be clear, I was very nice about this request. He, however, was a jerk. His response was "here", rolled his eyes, tossed the menus down and walked away. And there we sat for 20 minutes without a server. I left the table to use the restroom and as I was coming out, the host was at the end of the bar saying to another staff person "they can sit where I fu&king seat them". We were prepared to leave but my friend went up to Kierra and explained the situation and she made the rest of the experience fabulous. So, my suggestion is that staff be trained to be like Kierra. Had it not been for her, we would have left and missed a great meal. read more

I was so looking forward to going here! we went with a group of six with an age range from 20-53. We all had something different. My hamburger was just plain not good. Dry and bland. And I love hamburgers. My husband had the walleye and slaw which he couldn't eat it. We had the wings and hot chicken sandwich which were ok. But what finally took it over the top was the music in the restaurant, around 8 pm it turned into some hard core death metal. read more

Absolutely amazing food, kind workers, and an overall comfortable environment and atmosphere. I am a newcomer to being vegetarian but with every place I've been I have never had anything as good as the gluten free vegetarian shoe before. It was absolutely amazing and it was gluten free as well! The sample platter gave me such a unique variety of different options that each were delicious in their own way that it was hard to choose only one to eat at a time. Finishing off with the Flourless Chocolate cake and its fudge like goodness I am absolutely stunned by my experience here and would gladly come here again. I have to say Legacy Pointe Eatery is one of my favorite restaurants. There is a server there by the name of Kiara, who is an amazing young lady. I make sure every time I go that she's going to be there because she always has a smile on her face. She's happy she enjoys her customers. She gives the finest service and she is just a wonderful, wonderful young lady. One day when Kiara was off, we were have given Troy. Troy is just a bunch of fun. He makes you laugh. He enjoys his customers and I'm telling you that both he and Kiara will take good care of you. I cannot begin to express just what wonderful people they are. Everybody in this restaurant is kind happy interested in taking care of their customers and they just make you feel good when you go in there like you're part of the family. Service is excellent and the food oh my gosh, the food is just above and beyond. I love their steaks, which is always cooked to perfection. They've got some appetizers like there brussels sprout appetizer as a matter of fact are out of this world if you've never tried it and I have never eaten fried pickles and they have those and those are actually excellent. I know the dessert sounds really good but by the time we get through the appetizer and a glass of wine and the dinner we never make it to dessert so sometime I'm going to have to just pack that dessert up and bring it home. It is the first restaurant I always think of going to and those are the people that I always enjoy seeing. If you've not tried Legacy Pointe you need to make a point to try It and I cannot forget that they do a breakfast brunch on Sundays, which I really love. But no matter what you have they have something for everyone and you need to give it a try you will tend to go back to over and over again. All the servers are good, but just make a point of asking for Kiara, or Troy. You will not be disappointed. and as far as the ambience goes, I have to tell you it's a very comfortable relaxing restaurant where you just feel at home. and one last thing about that restaurant is the fact that that owner is always there. You know it says a lot when an owner is there because they want to see you happy they want to get to know their customer ,that their restaurant is providing the service that they had planned on providing from the day they open those doors. Excellent Lunch!!! My friend and I went hear for our monthly lunch out. Service was quick. Surprised at the number of reviews complaining about noise, because it wasn't an issue for us. The restaurant was busy, but we were able to hold a conversation and had no problems hearing each other. The food was on point. We had a Legacy chicken sandwich and a spicy goat burger. Both were hot an delicious. The breading was crispy and the seasoning was perfect. The heat and sweet of the Spicy Goat was just the right amount. A touch of spicy with a hint of sweet. The burger and the chicken were both juicy. I think the menu is fairly unique for our community. Lots of Gluten free options and vegan/vegetarian options. I'd suggest ignoring the negative Nelly reviews and give this place a try. I'm excited to come back and maybe try some of their cocktails too! read more

Have been wanting to try this place for awhile and since they have a number of gluten free options my sister decided to come along. It's funny that 3 of our group of 4 had the flat bread pizzas because they are GF. At $17 each it seemed a bit pricey to me, considering the size and amount of food provided. On the other hand, my goat cheese jalapeño bacon burger was a full half pounder and with chips was about $14 and was well worth the price. I ate every last bit. A side a french fries was only $2 and was plenty to share. Over all the place is very nice and not too crowded on a Tuesday lunch. I would go back without a doubt. read more

We went last night with friends. The Spartichoke Dip was delish. Our orders were Spicy Grouoer, Fried Grouper, Club Sandwich and Caprese Burger. All very good. Negatives. I had the WORST Lemon Drop ever. It was literally vodka and sour lemon. There could not have been any simple syrup at all in it. I added some sugar but didn't help. You shouldn't charge 12 dollars for a drink you didn't know how to make. Noise level not good. Difficult to have conversation. Not much done inside since last occupant. Nothing to absorb the noise. Question. When you order fried grouper you get two pieces if fish but with blackened just one piece. Why? As I said, we all enjoyed our food. However we will probably not return until they do something about the noise so you can have a conversation over dinner. read more

Oh my the food is so delicious! We have been three times and each time the service is outstanding. I wear hearing aids so if we would sit out in the middle it can get hard to hear, but sitting along a wall is perfect. The blackened grouper was very tasty, not too much on the spicy side, like I have most of my blackened dishes. My wife's margherita pizza was tasty, however, the crust was a little tough. The owner said the crust may have been a gluten-free crust, or perhaps overworked dough that made it tougher. Pretty busy. Waited about 5 min for a table. I had the Double Bean Dream on draft. Delicious. Hint of vanilla and coffee. For entree I had Goat Burger and lady had hamburger pony shoe. Goat burger was wonderful. One of the best burgers in Springfield. Spicy, but not overly so. Weird that they only have a pony shoe, but it's big enough it doesn't matter. Fries good, cheese sauce good, though cheese sauce serving was a bit light. Will definitely be back and would definitely order the same items. Second visit: I got the same - Lady got a penne pasta with chicken. Pasta not as good as horseshoe, but still pretty good. Little heavy on the garlic. This was my third visit. If I were reviewing the food and front of the house host, this would be five stars. Our food was delicious! This time, I tried the salmon, served with the mixed grain blend and two skewers of mixed roasted vegetables--excellent! The front of the house host is super friendly and welcoming. He also pops by your table to make sure your experience is a good one. Our server was curt, rude, and acted as if our mere presence bothered her. We ordered drinks to start and she was impatient with our inability to quickly find our drinks on the large drink menu. She grabbed the menu out of our hands and told us she knew it better than we did. We were going to order dessert, but she brought our bill and cleared the table!
