I'm on a boat!! We had a private event on a beautiful, warm fall day for about 50 people. We had beautiful weather and set off from Marina del Rey. The ride was smooth. The staff was nice and cordial. The DJ was spinning some great tunes. There are 2 decks with plenty of seating. There's room on the roof deck for a dance party. There's a bar area on the bottom deck. Legend Limo is a great place to have a private party with your closest 50 friends for a couple of hours in the dock area of Marina Del Rey. This 80 footer luxury yacht included a top deck that can fit almost everybody in your party, dining area with a wet bar, 3 clean restrooms with a huge tub in one of them, and the usual front and back area for some shade and peace. The yacht stays in the Marina keeping the boat steady for those that are sensitive to sea sickness, no fear! The staff was great and down for the cause which was for us to party haaaaard! Fun times on a harbor cruise around Marina Del Ray on Sunday morning... I had hoped to leave the harbor, but alas we cruised back and forth around the entire harbor pulling 180s at the end of each row of boats. Consequently, due to the location; the boat ride was a gentle meandering around the harbor. Several of the folks on the boat are predisposed to sea sickness and they had no issues. That alone made things much better. Especially since no one was completely hopped up on Dramamine or something like that. PRO TIP: Parking is $10 cash for the lot next to the boat dock. There is only a couple of trees providing shade so most cars will be baking in the sun... The boat has a single stateroom, 2 bathrooms bow, rooftop deck, and main cabin with 4 rounds and a bar. It may have been possible to fit a 5th table round in the main area, but I am not sure. The rear deck is a nice relaxed area and reminded me of a porch or stoop on a house. Great for congregating and relaxing with friends to discuss anything. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. I don't think I would charter a boat for a wedding to do a similar service, but I did enjoy it and I especially enjoyed that we were not packed on the boat like sardines. The crew was nice and accommodating as well. Fun times for sure, perhaps I will run into you on one of these little outings in the future... if so introduce yourself to me =) read more

I'm on a boat! Was here at a private event and the staff was courteous and friendly. The ship is docked in Marina del Rey and it's next to a bunch of little food stalls that sells hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream. So if you want to eat beforehand you can. Getting on the boat was a breeze and there was enough room to accommodate about 30 people. There is the lower deck and the upper deck. There were seats all around and the upper deck was used as a dance floor. The boat got a rockin', literally, when people started to dance. Otherwise, the ship was fairly stable as it just cruised the harbor and didn't go into open water. All in all, a great boat to rent for a few hours of a party. read more

I'm on a boat b*tch! The crew is super friendly and the tour around the Marina was relaxing. The yacht was big enough to host a party of 50 people for the Gogobot event, although squeezing through the stairways could be a little cramped at times. Also, there's no AC in the cabin area so it could get a little stuffy and hot inside. If you get seasick like me, its best to chill on the deck with the fresh ocean breeze. Although there's no shade whatsoever on the deck so bring lots of sunscreen! read more

I rented a Yacht for my 22nd Birthday Bash with Legend. I took 49 guests and it was a blast!! Amazing, beautiful boat! And great service! Captain and crew were very nice and did not get in our way. Everyone had a wonderful time. Also the owner and employee that helped me book this trip gave me great service, answered my every question and emails. I even got a discount on the yacht. They are very flexible and will work with you with any specific requests you might have. I tried looking at other companies and they were so over priced! Not really sure how their how there services is but from a customer service specialist standpoint. I emailed someone regarding two weddings i was planning along with a couple other charter businesses. I gave the brides budget and guest count. With other companies i received a letter stating that these are our prices and we could or could not work with your budget. With this company i got one sentence. "We have nothing in your price range" for the record i had one budget that was 5,000 for an engagement party mixer. Light appetizers and drinks for 90-100 people. I should have read the reviews here first. Regardless if you can or cannot accommodate the customer, they took the time to look you up, send a quote request, so the least you could do is fill the request and give pricing, that way when i go to my brides i can say. This is how much they charge, are you willing to pay more? But now ill have to say no quote given, next company. At least i know to put them on my list of uncooperative vendors. But likei said before this is for customer service. I have never chartered a yacht with them, and from the looks of that email, i never will. read more

Anyone who wants to believe Brian's bullsh&t go right ahead. I never once confirmed a deal with legend limo. We negotiated, but far too many shady incidents occurred for me to authorize a deal. I have all of the email correspondence I would be happy to send you that prove what Brian is saying is a lie. Email me and I would be happy to send you my correspondence with legend limo. I was hustled into giving a credit card before we finished negotiations. I was told he wanted to hold the spot for me while we finish details but he needed a credit card number to do so. I did not like the way negotiations were going, I opted to go with a different company, Brian charged my card anyway. I never gave authorization and he blatantly stole 2300 dollars from me. These emails state Brian refused to reimburse the unauthorized transaction because he was upset that I found a cheaper deal with a competitor. My credit card company investigated and has already reinstated my money given the evidence I provided showing Legend Limo conducted a fraudulent transaction. In attempt to better understand a company that would blatantly disregard customer service I personally researched all business licenses related to the marina del ray address. Research shows Brian has several businesses that operate under the same address and phone number as legend limo. When you cross reference these businesses versus fraudulent claims and criminal activity, there have been multiple incidents related to every phony business Brian has tried to establish. Don't take my word for it, research for yourself. I'd be happy to direct you to my sources. I also have an email where Brian states specifically he does not care about social media because it doesn't matter to him. Why the f are you responding to my post if you don't care Brian? If I could give this company a negative review I would. Please read all the reviews carefully before booking with them especially if you are booking any type of limousine or party bus. As far as I can tell Legend Limo doesn't own any limo's there are just a limo broker. Like several of the other reviewers, my son made a reservation for a party bus in Chicago (with my credit card and my approval) with them a month before the event and 4 days before the event, they cancelled our reservation. The reason, they said, was because the reservation was by a minor using a parent's credit card. This is true, however Brian Mitchell, the owner, knew this more than a week before the event as I called and emailed him requesting a contract so I could get something in writing to confirm the arrangements. Furthermore, the cancellation also said it was because we had not returned the contract. It's hard to return a contract that I never had even though I requested one in writing via email. I called and emailed many times and all I got was silence. I tried to get in contract and talk to Brian but he was NEVER available on the phone and doesn't answer emails either. The poor woman who answers the phone has to bear the brunt of my frustration at no fault of her own just of her scumbag boss. read more

The owner is hands on & super helpful in making your experience as personal as you'd like. For me, it was my wife's 30th surprise party. They helped me keep the surprise (which is no easy feet in 2013) & let us decorate the vessel! The boat was sizeable & equipped with all the bells & whistles you'd need: flat screen TVs, full bar & a dance floor upstairs...which we abused :). I booked a charter for my wedding reception this past weekend! It was a great time, I can't tell you how many of our friends and family talked about how great and fun it was! Brian worked with me on changing my head count as well as a custom dinner menu which was very important to me! And it was excellent! All of the staff was awesome, constantly making sure everyone was taken care of, especially the bride and groom!!! :) We did not have to worry about a thing, just showed up and enjoyed ourselves!! We had a lower level with plenty of room as well as a very nice lounge upstairs and open dance floor to take in the beautiful city and views!
