The girl staff is intolerable. Me and my boyfriend have come twice in the past two weeks. We have interacted with three different girls and 2/3 were AWFUL! The first time they messed up our order and I asked for the girl to fix it and she gave me a dirty look then when she served it we said thank you and she scoffed at us. Then today (11/9/18) we ordered and I ordered a combo and she gave me a kids meal! We specifically wanted the combo which comes with a salad. Usually cashiers ask the combo or the kids meal and we can choose but she didn't so we told her the combo but she switched it. I'm just highly disappointed and really upset at this place now because it really has gone down in the hiring area and workers just don't know how to do their job or be nice. The guy who just sits at the front but doesn't take orders or help or anything he just looks at the counter so he doesn't make eye contact with customers so they don't approach him. Not to mention that makes the line longer (and she doesn't get the orders right) oh well. The reason I'm upset about the whole salad is because this place's food is actually good so it's great quality food side the price but workers need to get it together. Came here just for shakes. Was really in the mood for some. Ordered ahead online. When I went to the counter to pick up my order, staff was rude and unresponsive. She didn't greet me or say anything to me other than "what do you need". When I showed her my order on the phone, she just walked away without a word. I stood around for 5 minutes and nobody else offered to help me, and she eventually just slammed my shakes on the counter when I wasn't looking and left them there. Unbelievable. We have given this place a few chances because locals like it for the nostalgia factor but I'm sorry we just can't return. The food here is about quantity over quality. The burgers are grisly and fatty. The breakfast burritos have lots of unmelted cheese. The bacon is mostly fat. For the money that they charge, the food needs to be better. The soda cup is on the small side. It's like the small size from mcdonalds. The burger bun is not toasted. The meat is grilled perfectly. Cheese is melted. you get a big piece of lettuce, tomato, pickes and onion. Standard condiments. You get the option of choosing but you can get all of the condiments. They have a thousand island ranch dressing sauce that tastes pretty close to mcdonalds big mac sauce. The line is kind of long since they only have 2 cashiers. Bathrooms are pretty clean. This post is solely based on the drive thru employees no one in particular just a consistent problem. My husband has gone through the drive thru numerous occasions and has requested NOT to have the tomato "salsa" with our order of taquitos and burrito. He requested to have the spicy salsa ONLY and NOT the tomato and tonight this evening we got ZERO spicy salsa and just the tomato based NON spicy salsa thats not good at all. It has ZERO flavor. I don't understand how the person working the drive through window didn't hear, not one time not two times but NUMEROUS times. Please listen to your drive thru guests and their needs. We are paying for what we want not what we get, I honestly feel our meal was RUINED without the salsa he requested. read more

This is a long overdue review. I have to say that Legends has been our go to for the past 14 years. We eat there once a week it seems. My favorite is the chicken burrito with jalapenos and wife likes the chicken breast salad. You just can't get the same consistency, value, and quality from any other restaurants in the area. We've wanted to eat at Legends ever since we moved to the area. It just looks like an awesome portal through time. With the added bonus of being on Route 66, it HAS to be good, right?? Well, we walked in and immediately commented to each other on how big this place is. Not quite the intimate diner setting of the '50s and '60s we'd imagined. High ceilings and about 40 feet between the front door and the counter with NOTHING in between. The walls were a giant art piece equipped with props from that era, but by the time you notice it, you've already been taken out of the mindset--even despite the historically appropriate, and enjoyable, music in the background. As for the food, my fiancee ordered the chicken fingers ($9 for the combo), which were terrible. They tasted like they had been frozen for 2 weeks prior to cooking. But this is the lack of creativity that's common here at Legends Classic Diner. The salad comes with Hidden Valley dressing and the BBQ sauce is merely packets of Bullseye. I had the 2/3 lb Double Cheeseburger with Bacon (about $8). It was somewhat enjoyable and actually didn't taste cheap. But by itself it had no character and wasn't worth the price. Nothing here was. The only highlight from the meal was the fries, which were pretty impressive to say the least. However, not worth wasting a date night coming here. My suggestion if you want a cool '50s-style diner is heading over to Richie's in Rancho Cucamonga. It's much more true to theme and has WAY better food (and amazing BBQ sauce!). Went to Legends this week. Ordered an asada taco. Was given an asada burrito. I told the manager I was given wrong food. He was very rude to me. He said " it's what we made, we are not going to change it, ". He would not give me a asada taco which is what I ordered. Have been going to this location for years. With Covid, I really miss going to Legends and getting a large salad and fries or zucchini. Anytime my family comes to CA they want to go as well, as well as In and Out. Now with Covid they have long drive through lines, but it goes fairly fast. Legends is our cheat day. I like their burritos and club sandwiches. My wife cheats with a bacon avacado cheeseburger. Been going here for years and today was they refused to make my nephews quesadilla with corn tortilla... he has celiac disease and they have always made it this way. The manager was rude and unwilling to make an exceptions Citing they are busy and didn't care that it's an allergy and no just a convience. Yet they are always busy and it's never been an issue! Others in our group already ordered and they refused to refund our orders so we could go eat somewhere else! So sad cause we won't be back!! read more

The prices are pretty good, Especially for the portions I got the small zucchinis in the small french fries and it was more than enough food for Junior cheeseburger was very delicious I was a little turned off because it doesn't look too good in the pictures or in person but it's really good. I haven't been here in a third five years but it's just like I remember maybe even better 10/10 recommend the ambience is also really nice. They play 50/60's music. Open on New Year's Day brought my parents, sister and I to this 50s inspired burger joint. The decorations are really cute I must admit. You order at the counter and food is brought to your table. It's a self seated establishment. Wasn't impressed with the cleanliness and lack of ice in the soda dispenser especially since it was not busy. I ordered the tuna melt on sour dough which was okay. It was barely warm. My dad had the pastrami and was not too impressed either. The Oreo milkshake was amazing though. Not too sweet which may come as a surprise. read more

I used to come here all the time. Im sorry Legends i will not be back anymore. I am a local and been coming here for years! The reason is because your staff customer service has gone down. The last three times I came same thing -they're not attentive .they say things that they're not very nice like "ugh what would you like to add now? Where are all these people coming from ? We cant give you a side of this because its not allowed" Fix your staff. Or train people who have customer service . My food was bad because it was like a game of telephone , the lady kept messing my orders up and i also had to pay more. Alot of eye rolling much? It made me feel bad and incompetent even though it was not my fault. And i wanted to write a review about the last three times but i figured we are human and everyone is not perfect so i shrugged it off to give this spot another chance . So this is my conclusion , my final review. I will not be coming back due to the customer service and staff not paying attention, along with the back talk and attitude . I didn't want to write a review, but just waited 34 minutes for a hotdog, burrito and zucchini fries. They finally came to the window and said they lost the order, asked us to pull up and wait longer, said we just wanted a refund and that took 5 minutes to get. We were the second car in line, so they were not slammed. Didn't seem to care we wasted over half an hour, that was the worst part. Worse customer service ever. Walked in with a fairly large group to order and one of waitresses walk by and says out loud, "ugh where did all these people come from?" Like honestly if you're going to talk shit, please do it discreetly and not out loud in front of customers. I was so shocked to hear that. Then later when that same waitress and one other waitress came to give us our food, they did not smile and kind of just threw our food down and snatched the numbers back. Came here today with my daughter and I liked the food. I ordered the BLT with avocado, but ended up taking out some of the bacon because it was way too salty. The avocado inside was really good though and ripe. For my daughter she got the junior meal with the cheeseburger. She actually liked the cheeseburger and that says a lot because she is 3 and super picky. I had some of her fries and they were good as well, not overly salty, but I wish they were a little more crispier. The guy who took our order was really friendly and patient, I was slow due to the fact it was my first time and I was not sure what to get. It's a little pricey for being a sort of fast food spot, but I will be back to try some of the other items on their large menu. read more

I'm super grateful for the service I received yesterday for dinner. We ordered an amazing Gyro salad and it was spectacular. I realize I had ordered the original incorrectly and asked for a Greek salad and not a Gyro salad and they were more than accommodating to fix the order. All of the toppings for that salad were so spot on. Today we went to another restaurant, got overcharged and wish we had gone back to legends. I am writing a review today because I got a burger that tasted horrible the meat wasn't good at all didn't taste like a good burgers meat. The fries were very soggy and tasted like a normal tams fries if not worse. The burger also smelled really bad, and when I tried the thing it tasted just like the smell. I know it wasn't me because I let my family try the burger and they all said the same thing I said. I wouldn't go here again although I might try something else. Maybe burgers isn't their specialty or I got a messed up bacon cheeseburger as my first time here from Legends.
