The people working always seem pretty chill. So chill that it's pretty slow so don't be in a hurry. This is probably not the best place to take a suburban full of kids after soccer practice for a quick bite, due to the amount of time the average order seems to take. So, I stop by MSM deli to grab a sandwich. I was looking for a quick, satisfying belly bomb before motorcycling back to Shoreline. Got there and found the wait for a sandwich was 30 minutes. 30 minutes for a sammich! Unless the lettuce is gold leaf, I did not need it that bad. Looked up a nearby place and Legendz pops up. It is a no frills drive through with a couple of tables, just down the road. Got a Beef cheese steak and fries. Toasted roll with a ranch/Mayo dressing was a perfect blend and really hit the mark. Oh, they apologized for needing 5 minutes to make it! This was a win find for me and will be my new sammich stop in this area. A Hilltop Tacoma institution, Legendz is a mainstay in a community with many changes. Over the course of the past 20 years, they been the constant community location for good burgers and food, for that matter. Having been called Fantastic Burgers in the last, Legendz have worked hard to keep the quality high and the burgers tasting homemade! I don't get anything too fancy - just a good old single or double if I had a particularly crappy day. The service is wonderful and the folks working there are very polite and attentive. Be aware that your order may take longer than usual to be prepared. I just look at it as they are taking their time in giving me a great burger. Take my advice and go there to eat. Called in a to go order was told to wait 10 minutes. Came in about 15 minutes after they hadn't even started my order so in the end calling a order to go was pointless. When I called I asked for no veggies they gave me veggies and had to redo it and put yellow cheese? So I've eaten here and the other greek place down the street. And in comparison, this one is my choice as the better of the two. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro, fries, and a soda. $8.75 I think. Not expensive, not super cheap, but cost to portion size was really good. The amount of food was great considering I got 3 things. Wish I could give negative stars. Called in an order of gyros. I arrived at the window after the 20 minutes and the employee told me to my face they were working on it. 40 MINUTES LATER another employee told me they don't have gyros. Haven't made them for over a month, and yet gyros are still on their physical menu and all the online delivery menus. Then the guy told us that the employee we had spoken with just left and they were closing up - at 215 in the afternoon. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Food was excellent! We got the deluxe double burger, single burger and the beef gyro. Everything was cooked to perfection. Hand made flame grilled meat was so fresh! Flavor and seasoning were also spot on. The wait for the food was a little longer than normal but well worth the wait! We've ordered from here a couple of times and generally have had a good experience. First things first, if you are short on time, this is NOT a good idea for you as they don't cook your food until you order it. This means, no burger patties already cooked sitting in a tub waiting to be made into a sandwich and no shrimp bits sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be chowed down. Even though they have a drive up window, it is not a Drive Through like McDonald's or Burger King. It takes time to cook food, so if you have a 30 minute lunch break, you are going to want to either call ahead or go somewhere else. They also have a few tables set up outside if you want to "dine in" and the weather agrees with you. I typically get the Philly Cheese Steak and am quite fond of it. A few other places in town tend to slather em in so much grease that the bread is soggy by the time you get home. This one has just enough to honor the Philly Cheese Steak ideal, but not so much your bread tries to sog out on you. My husband said the gyros were pretty good- not good enough to write home about, but pretty good. Our son likes the fish and shrimp and he can be a picky eater sometimes. The only complaint I really have is that they like to cram the cups full of ice and then don't even fill them all the way up. In other words, you are paying for ice, and a cup - not a soda. We haven't had to special order anything (ie hold the peppers, or add cheese, etc.) so I have no idea how they are in that department. Overall, if you have the time (15-20 minutes depending on how long the line is), it's a good eat for the price as long as you ask for no ice in your drink. read more

Good burger. Next time I'll ask for medium, this one was well done. Lots of mustard (I hate that most places skimp on mustard) but lacking enough ketchup for my taste (I added more). If it had pickles, I don't recall. I guess not enough to be memorable. Lettuce was crisp, and there was a touch of onion. Overall, very decent. The fries were pretty bad, although my wife thought they were fine. I don't think they were fried, I think they might have been baked. Krinkle-cut, little to no flavor, kinda mushy, not crisp on the outside at all. I doused them with adobo seasoning to make them palatable. The shake was awesome. I got a Reese's shake, and it was really good. My wife got strawberry, and it had real strawberries in it (sweetened frozen berries, not fresh, but no biggie). I spent $16 on two full meals with shakes. That's pretty tough to beat. They make the food fresh (I had to wait a while at the drive-thru), and it makes a difference. Where do I even start. We ordered the food and we're very specific about the fact we only wanted meat and cheese. Nothing else. I'm from philly and like a really philly cheesesteak, just meat and cheese. Get to the window and they messed up the order. I explained that we just wanted meat and cheese, to their face. They come back out 8 minutes later and there are still onions in the cheesesteak and this nasty sauce we didn't want. The fries were limp and bland, the staff was rude.
