Some street parking up front but that goes faster then the lot. They are constant busy! It's because they are dishing out amazing eats! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner they have you covered! Have breakfast for dinner or lunch for breakfast or dinner for breakfast, they serve all dishes during business hours. We typically go there for breakfast but, this last time I tried something off of their lunch menu which was their Gyro sandwich. One word...AMAZING! Flavor of the meat was outstanding and tzatziki sauce refreshing and delicious! Lemon Grove Cafe packs their Gyro sandwich with their delicious meat! Not a lot of filler with lettuce. As far as breakfast goes the food is good and service is great. Place has a divey feel to it as it's a seems to be a small locally owned spot. Haven't been for anything other than breakfast, but this place can get pretty crowded on the weekend mornings. Parking can be a bit of an issue as there really isn't a lot dedicated to this spot. Great place. Came here yesterday for the first time. Ate a late breakfast. One of us had the egg potato skillet and a pancake, both were delicious. The other explored the Greek side of the menu and had a Gyro wrap which was also delicious. Ice tea was good and refilled often without request. As excellent as all the food was, our waitress Wendy was even better. She was kind and considerate and noticed that the eggs on top of the skillet dish were over done, and had them remade before we had noticed. The place, which is quite spacious, was not packed which allowed us the opportunity to talk to Wendy for a bit. In the end we told her we wished she could be our waitress everywhere we went. The chicken is cooked and seasoned really well and it comes with pita bread on the side. Met here for a breakfast business meeting and stayed 3 hours. It was that comfy and cozy. This was my first time and now I understand the charm of this cafe and why it's a local favorite. I can imagine how busy it is on a Sunday since I saw a church near by. There was already a crowd outside when I arrived. However we were seated quickly. I ordered the chicken fried steak and loved it. The staff were patient and helpful. Random but I always seem to pick up on this since I have a background in music. They play really good music here. I know random but I mentioned that and a colleague said that is why Lemon Grove Cafe is their go to place. The food is great, they luv the music and it's cozy. I have to second that. So true. Cute little cafe that provides a very cozy and simple atmosphere. The parking lot is the first thing you will notice and love. The walls are decked out with graffiti art and make an amazing photo opportunity. One thing I loved when walking in was that most of the tables were booth tables and who doesn't love booth tables! Service was friendly, quick and efficient. The menu was large but easy to navigate. I ordered the carne asada breakfast plate and my partner had the banana pecan pancakes (a late brunch, thankfully they were still serving breakfast at 3pm). We enjoyed our meals and had a delightful time. This place is lovely in it's own way. It is not like most modern cafes; it is very nostalgic and reminds me of how times use to be before every joint in town competed to be instagram hot spots. Lemon grove cafe has been my go to since I moved into the area a few years ago. We eat here various times a month. Today we came in to get our usual and towards the end of the meal my girlfriend discovered what appeared to be the tail end of a cockroach. I called the waitress and she apologized and we went about our business. I'm not by any means a sensitive person or squeamish about crap like this since it is basically fast food and I know no place is truly clean and bug free but come on. In this day and age of COVID and business closing all over the place you would think establishments would try harder to keep their clientele. Sorry to say we will never be back here again. I've past this cafe countless times over the years. Finally had a chance to go. Great food a mixture of Mexican, Greek and classic diner food. We had pita and hummus. The server said the pita wasn't homemade could've fooled me it was piping hot with excellent hummus. We had the pancakes with eggs and bacon/sausage. The pancakes were fluffy and very tasty. My wife requested and received her "crispy" bacon. The coffee was very good. Flor, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our food was served shortly after we ordered. I'm glad I accidentally found this on Yelp and I am glad I did. I stopped by this morning at 1130, the wait was about 10 minutes. You can sit inside or outside, we say inside. The place looked and smelled clean, I am always scared of places with carpet. The coffee was really good, so if you like coffee try it. I got the French toast and my partner got the chicken fried steak. The French toast came with eggs and bacon, also ask for their house salsa. The CFS came with eggs, bacon, hashbrown, and toast.
