Thai isn't my favorite food, but once in a while I will crave the combination of flavors that Thai food provides. My favorite dish is gai pat prik king, which is Chicken with String Beans with chili paste and basil. My wife likes the Chicken Massamum which is a hearty chicken and potatoes curry with coconut milk. The Massamum is good as well, but I prefer the version a SriPriPrai up the road on Hillside Avenue in Williston Park since they use chunks of chicken and not the sliced as presented here. The Tom Yam Goong soup is decent, with a nice balanced sour to spicy flavor, but with only two shrimps - c'mon, it feels a little cheap. The place is usually empty, but that isn't a sign that food is bad its just that most people order delivery or takeout for some reason. If you are fan of pink and wood decor then this is the place for you! The service is usually very friendly and its a good place to go if you are hiding out. lol I order the curry samosas here and that was a real downer since they were literally soaked in grease to the point of being nearly inedible. It came with a curry dipping sauce which made the app even heavier. I seen other thai places give a sweet/sour (perhaps with cucumber?) thin dipping sauce that helps cut the heft this dish. I'm just gonna speak from the heart for this one: this is a horrible disappointment of Thai food. I was so excited to try this restaurant, i ordered the spicy basil fried rice with chicken and it could barely be classified as Thai food. Who puts a bag of frozen mixed vegetables i to their Thai food? Apparently this restaurant. It was so far below mediocre honestly the only positive is that the food was delivered fairly quickly. It wasn't spicy at all, unless you count adding an extreme amount of black pepper spicy, i don't know I've ordered from there twice, ordering different menu items but it's just not good. One of my go to Thai spots! Have been going there for years even after they moved a bit further a way from me to their current location. I love that they have their hot sauce and peppers in fish sauce available if you ask for it which is a must to pair with their sweet pinapple fried rice. My go to is the noodles and I'll rotate from the spicy coconut noodles and the drunken noodles. The duck is normally very good and they give a great portion. Lunch is an excellent time to try a few dishes without breaking the budget. read more

I have only ever gotten delivery from this restaurant. But I've always loved the food that I have gotten it has always come piping hot in good timing. I think for the size, the price is very reasonable. I definitely ordered here at least a dozen times. And I'm sure I will continue to do so. Got the pad Thai. It's delicious. Personally I would love more crushed peanuts in it but it's got a great flavor and I love that you can get it with chicken or shrimp or beef or I think you can get it with tofu to even if tofu is not one of the choices listed when you order online. Do you still want to get tofu it was listed. So now if I'm in a tofu mood I'll put it in the options or like special directions and I think I've gotten it every time with tofu. I also love the pad see yu. It's delicious. Another great flavored noodles. And I definitely recommend this one with tofu I think it goes together really well. I've eaten from many different thai restaurants before, and this one simply does not live up to the standard. Be aware that any dish that mentions thai basil will at most contain one or two tiny leaves if any, and the taste will be severely lacking. And i have given them the benefit of the doubt by ordering from them several times, each time a disappointment. The service is quick, but somehow I feel they premake some of their dishes, esp. popular staples like pad thai. I say this because a couple of times, their pad thai noodles were served stuck to each other and congealed. Yet, a couple of other times I've eaten there, the food has been pretty good. Ive also held a lunch party for a group of 20+ people and they accommodated us really well. My husband also loves their drunken noodles and Tom Yum soup. Keep in mind owners are not Thai, but the only other good Thai place is Sripraphai on Hillside Ave (which isn't as good as the Elmhurst branch) so I'll take what I can get in this part of town. read more

Joined in a lunch order at work and I ordered 'pineapple Coconut fried rice with chicken topped with ground peanut & fried onions' - I believe that's lunch special L6. Delivery was timely and accurate, food nicely packaged and it looked pretty attractive, as far as a delivery packed plate can look. Alas, it was a disappointment. Completely lacking in flavor. I mean I actually added salt. If there was Coconut I didn't taste any. The only high point was the pineapple which was sweet and juicy as canned pineapple chunks usually are. The frozen peas and carrots mixed in the rice were utterly boring, the chicken texture was kinda mushy-- it was plain white unseasoned meat in large pieces. For this kind of dish should have been shredded. The fried onions were scarce. Crushed peanut was plentiful and added a bit of texture but not enough to save the dish. It was garnished with a forlorn and unseasoned slice of tomato and cucumber. So. The office orders out from a lot of local restaurants in rotation, so I might possibly give them one more shot with a 'spicy' selection. But not in any great hurry to do so. read more

Anyone who knows me knows that attitude is my biggest thing. Our First time here was very good. We came for the raved about coconut fried rice which lived up to its reviews. This was on a Tuesday night ( last night ) - Now we return the next day Wednesday November 14 for lunch. We ended up with the two of the most rudest waitresses, The shortest of the two was the nastiest. Very off putting attitude. When we first sat, I wanted to change the angle of my seat to avoid sunlight and I guess because she had to wait 5 seconds for me to do that, it was an issue. Just STANK. We found a very small fly in our water but kinda allowed ourselves to shrugg that off because of how good the food is and gnats are common. But the waitress was just not nice at all. Maybe because I'm bla The waitress noticed me typing this review as we sat and ate our lunch. She kept trying to quickly glance at what I was writing and I literally didn't stop typing. Her attitude kinda changed once she realized I was sitting here writing this. The food is good but I've had better Thai food on Long Island trust me. Chada In Hicksville is better and Nara Thai In Massapequa is excellent. The food here at Lemonleaf is pretty good. I just pray you get nicer staff. And don't switch the position of your seat. 5 stars for this place people! The service, the food and drinks were perfect. Instantly greeted as soon as we walked in which is always a pleasant factor. I had the shrimp dumplings as an appetizer and it was AMAZING. I will definitely go there to order that again as a quick bite. For my entree I had teriyaki shrimp and coconut rice. I will say the entree as a whole was great. My only thing is the coconut rice did not have as much coconut as I hoped for but nonetheless it was all great. OH and it came out SIZZLING. I loveeee when food comes out hot and sizzling, it was clearly fresh all the vegetables and peppers everything was perfect. I will definitely order it again. Honestly. For drinks, I had the bay breeze and the lychee margarita and the bartender who was also the person who greeted us made the BEST drinks. It was the perfect combo of mixes and the alcohol. She suggested the lychee martini as my second drink and I thank her for it it was SO GOOD and I really appreciated her taking the time to make sure our meal was great as well as the drinks. I could tell she genuinely cared and her customer service was GREATLY appreciated. She's definitely a factor in why this place has 5 stars. Her service was great as well as our waiter. Meh. I've experienced better.. lol so I love Thai food and Lemon Leaf failed to blow me away or make me feel like OMG I have to have that again.. The pad thai was super dry. I actually hate that when there's absolutely no remnant of a sauce and all the noodles clump together. It was lacking in flavor and I know I requested it to be made spicy and they didn't succeed in that either. They have a couple of bad reviews from people complaining about how sweet their food is and I honestly should've taken the warning. My bf wanted a sweet dish and I ordered him the mango chicken and it was super sweet. Dessert-like almost. The chicken was good and it was a good sauce but you definitely have to keep a glass of water close by. There were chunks of mangoes inside of the dish and that's probably what made it so sweet. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and although I liked the fact that they give a nice big whole shrimp-- it was lacking serious flavor and had too much dough on the dumplings. I actually had to pull some dough off to get the taste of the shrimp. i wouldn't be in a hurry to return or order from here again. It wasn't horrible but I've had way better Thai food. read more

However, the food itself wasn't that good. The curry was extreme watered down, in fact it was basically flavored water. The flavor of the noodles were too heavy and creamy-it sits in your stomach. The service is fine and the place was a bit dirty; there were bits of rice on the table we were seated.
