Will spread the word that this is the place for Chinese in Port Washington. Been around a long time but parking difficult on Main Street so I ordered by door dash. Never had an issue with this restaurant until yesterday. Food was always good and delivery was always quick and efficient. I work in a hospital and unfortunately did not get to the delivery driver in time. He left the food with security (which is okay) But unfortunately I was un able to tip since I didn't get to them quick enough. I do not know what you people are talking about here with all the good reviews. We have been looking for a new Chinese place in Port because our old stand by has been off the last two trips! So we ordered from here last week for delivery. They showed up earlier than the 30 minutes promised. The food? Terrible. We had pineapple fried rice that was dry and tasteless and very little pineapple. The dumplings yuck! I don;pt think they were home made! Schezuan dumplings just plain crap! We also had the Sambal beef!. You couldn't chew the beef it was so tuff! So two orders of dumplings, two spring rolls, ( striingy) small fried rice and one entree or Qt size portion. How much? $36 !!!!!!!!!!!! I'm starting to think we need to yelp the yelpers! You people need to stick to Cheerios and pop tarts! read more

Drove in to NYC area for the 4th tonight and decided randomly to order from this place. We pretty much ordered a feast to share: Vegetarian Spring Rolls--- So-so. Kinda stringy cabbage, no rice stick noodles like I prefer... extra good flavor though via the use of sesame oil in the cabbage, carrot, mushroom mixture. Mushrooms were rather rubbery, sadly. Wasn't terribly crisp either. Not the best but far from the worst! Cheese Wontons (ie crab rangoon)--- little tiny wontons with a small amount of real crab and scallions and cream cheese mixture. But I liked that. They were clearly good quality and in this case less was MORE. These were crispy and delicious over all. Eggdrop Wonton Soup--- Fresh tasting, SEEMED made in the store rather than a packet mix. I was told "These wontons are really really good. They are the best wontons I've ever had in a soup. Really good quality and great tasting." Dry Sauteed String Beans--- Garlicy, delicious and pretty basic. I usually prefer my string beans to be a bit crisper but these weren't terribly mushy. Sweet n Sour Chicken--- Nice cuts of chicken, not too much breading. Tasted fresh. Fried to a nice golden brown and they were still pretty crispy which was a pleasant event for delivery! General Tso's Tofu--- Great. Star of my plate, personally. The pieces were pretty small like I prefer... and the sauce had a sweet and lighly spicey flavor that was well balanced. Sometimes General's sauce can be heavy and too strong but this was nice and light. They weren't quite as crunchy as I like but given the overall flavor and texture I didn't mind it a bit. I'm looking forward to eating the leftovers (FYI, chinese left overs always taste best re-heated in the oven I've found, strangely enough. Things get crispier and the flavors marry even more) Malasian Sambal Chicken--- A pleasant surprise. Not something we've seen on a chinese menu before. It had a good spicy sauce that wasn't insanely hot but had good heat. Kind of red-curry esque but without any hint of coconut. Had red peppers, tons of onions even though we asked for less and sugar snap peas stir-fried with white meat chicken slices. We enjoyed it a lot. Chicken Fried Rice---- Bleh. Flavorless steamed chicken slices in flavorless fried rice. I've had worse and worse luck with chinese fried rice recently. Some places get it right with a deep, smokey flavor and other places just miss the boat and land on Bland. Sadly this place is one of them. Wow, see? A Feast. You could order lunch or a combo and no apps or sides and eat here easily for less than $10/person. But if you want full courses it's going to cost you. After delivery guy's tip, tax and the cost (even with a free fried rice) it was $50. But we've all got some leftovers for tomorrows lunch. read more

The food is really tasty (assuming you like classic, American-Chinese fast food) and the staff people are always nice. We used to order from this place often, but unfortunately, we noticed one day that the portions were significantly smaller. Around that time, the prices also went up, so we were paying more money for less food. A few weeks later, we again noticed that the portions of food were now even smaller (smaller than the first time we noticed a decrease in size). I ordered yesterday and the Egg Roll tasted like it was fried in week old oil, was hard and chewy......into the garbage. The dumplings tasted like old shoes.....into the garbage. The General Tso......sticky, gooey glop with sinew ridden chicken parts........into the garbage. The Szechuan Beef..........it wasnt bad or untasty...it was disgusting. I have ordered here 3 times before and each time it was not great but never this bad. The driver, who drive a mile to get here, was given a $7.00 tip to drop it on my front door(which is not working) and I specifically requested he dont leave it there as per the instructions on the website, rang bell and left..........I was upstairs for 5 minutes and did not hear bell but he left anyway and food sat there 15 minutes in the rain. PLUS a $3.00 delivery fee.....$52.00 for crap food! The management said they called 3 times....I can prove they didnt......and offered me nothing in return. I will never eat there EVER again.....and neither will my family. There are so many excellent Chinese restaurants in Port Washington.....and some not as good. But not disgusting like this joint. The meal contained 3 large (and yummy) shrimp and a decent amount of chicken. Great place for takeout. Large menu, and although certainly I haven't sampled everything, I have tried a good number of dishes and thus far found that they have delivered in freshness and flavor. Really tasty ribs (never dried out or burned). Very quick and friendly service. This is the best Chinese food place I have ever been to. Now, I have been to Chinese restaurants where entrees can cost upwards of $50, and this one still takes the cake. Not only is this food more inexpensive than most, and it still tastes amazing, but the delivery is free for nearby towns and some of the friendliest people work there.
