BEWARE - Unsafe vehicles, deceptive practices, and refusal to return refunded money This has been one of the most frustrating and deceptive experiences I've ever had with a car dealership. The general manager, Baha, repeatedly assured us during the purchase process that the extended warranty could be canceled at any time without issue. Based on that representation, we agreed to purchase it. We canceled almost immediately -- and were charged roughly $900. It has now been nearly 30 days since the funds were returned to the dealership, and we still have not received our refund. The warranty company has already confirmed that the funds were sent back to the dealership nearly a month ago. At this point, there is no excuse. The money is simply being withheld. Communication has been unacceptable: Baha promises specific call times and never follows through He responds to texts, sets expectations, and then disappears He repeatedly deflects responsibility onto staff We are constantly told "someone will call back," and no one does. We've also dealt with Leanne in the office, who has been equally unhelpful -- providing vague updates, running us in circles, and ultimately ignoring follow-ups. The front desk has no answers, no visibility, and no ability to help. To make matters worse, the vehicle itself was sold to us with improper tires that failed within the first 1,000 miles. Once again, we were given promises that the issue would be handled -- and once again, nothing was done. Same pattern: overpromise, disappear, repeat. At this point, it feels less like incompetence and more like a deliberate strategy: Say whatever is needed to close the deal Assure the customer everything will be handled Then avoid, delay, and ignore until the customer gives up - AKA STEAL FROM YOU We are still waiting on money that rightfully belongs to us, with zero transparency and no accountability. I tried to buy a car here. When I tried to make a reasonable and sound offer, I was met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. When they thought they were closer to a deal, they suddenly started behaving more kindly and amicably. When I was ready to buy at their asking price, they kept adding thousands of dollars worth of additional charges, including a scammy charge of over $1000 for a catalytic converter sticker. This is the dumbest and most useless charge I have ever heard of. They refused to remove the bogus $1000 scam from the contract so I walked away. I've never had a worse experience with a dealership. They're disrespectful and look for every opportunity to pressure, slip in unnecessary and bogus charges. They're also just so difficult to communicate with. I interacted with Michelle as the frontline staff and I have zero complaints about her. She was very accommodating. My complaints are entirely about my interactions with management. If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought a 2017 Land Rover Discovery from Auto Lending Group on July 6, 2025. During the short 15-minute test drive, the car seemed fine. No one disclosed any engine problems. Less than a month later (August 4), the vehicle broke down. I also purchased a full Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) based on what the manager (Halim) and salesperson (Taylor) told me: that it was bumper-to-bumper and I could take it anywhere for repairs, including Land Rover. That was a huge part of why I felt comfortable buying the car. Turns out, that was a lie. When the car broke down, I called the warranty company (Auto Assure), and they told me I couldn't take it "anywhere"--I had to go to Auto Lending Group's own shop due to a clause called a "tie-back." I never would've agreed to that. I called the dealership, and the finance manager Kris just doubled down and said I had to bring it in to them. I didn't trust them anymore and declined. After multiple calls and emails, I finally got permission in writing from the dealership to take the car to Land Rover. Land Rover diagnosed it the next day: over $16,200 in repairs needed. The car is basically unusable. Then, Auto Assure denied the claim anyway, saying the dealer never approved it--despite written approval. I called the VSC rep again (Terri), and he became aggressive, wouldn't share his full contact info, and refused to communicate in writing. So now I have: A car that cost $15,900 A repair bill of $16,200 A warranty that covers nothing A dealership that misled me from the start I've emailed Auto Lending Group demanding they take the car back and refund all money spent. What she actually received was a beat-up Frankenstein car with higher mileage, serious safety issues, and a completely different trim than what I was promised. The ad said 64,883 miles -- the car had 69,086. It had frame damage, suspension issues, mismatched parts, and wasn't even the right model. When she brought this up, she was harrassed They rushed her through the paperwork using some shady digital platform (SafeDealsAI), didn't let her review anything, and took her $2,000 deposit before she even saw the full contract.They told her to email herself a copy of it. By the time she realized the final price was over $34,000 -- almost double what was advertised -- it was too late. The worst part? After my mom sent a formal demand letter, they relisted her car for sale before the deadline had passed -- while she was still making payments and had it in her possession. Then they marked it as "sold" just to make their paper trail look clean. This was all done behind her back. I've found multiple other people who've been scammed by this place the same way. The sales person on the phone mentioned that they would get it fixed at their cost. When I got there and decided to purchase the car They told me because you're giving me such a great deal. They cannot fix the rims even though they told me they would I asked for a credit to take it off the price and they refused. I came from San Jose drove 2 1/2 hours to pick up the car. Three days later, the starter went out. And in addition to the tires were in poor shape and had very little tread left I wish I checked the tires prior, however regardless the promises that were not kept, poor customer service, and issues with the car made me give 1 star. I would like to give 0 star to this dealer becuase it definitely has no trust and business reputation. I set up the appointment on 4/6 to test driving a Ford Escape, the sales still called me to double confirm my appointment in that morning. However, after I drove 2 hrs from SF to Sacramento, another sales told me the car is not here and still in body shop. The manager( a korean guy) at that moment promised he could drop off the car to my home and I would be the first customer to check out the car once it was being fixed. However, i called couple times afterward to check whether the car is ready, the manager kept saying the car is still in maintenance and not ready yet untill the last call on 4/27, the sales told me that the car was sold and not available anymore. I actually had a really good experience with Halim and Jesse. My advice is to always do your homework when you are about to buy a big investment like a car. Have an idea of what are your must-haves and would-like-to-haves and what are your deal-breakers. I found the perfect car I wanted here with the mileage that was acceptable for me. After researching the market price and making sure the car had everything I needed and some of the things I wanted, I scheduled a test drive. Then I went over everything I liked and didn't like about the car, because I knew my must-haves and would-like-to-haves very well. I had a price in my mind with a $1K wiggle room to give or take. Once we got to a price agreement, I signed the contract with a down payment AND the condition that I bring my own mechanic to look at the car before I committed to buying it. If you don't have your own mechanic, you can use a company like 'Lemon Squad'. Once I got the thumbs up from my mechanic, I came back with a cashier's check, paid the difference, and drove home in my newly purchased car. It was hassle-free and very smooth. Do your homework. Stay in control of the negotiations. Know what your limits are and be ready to walk away if you can not get your must-haves in place. Remember you always have options. It has been a nightmare for my soon to be wife. I very clearly heard Halim tell us the warranty we were getting was bumper to bumper, and we could take it anywhere, even the Land Rover dealership if there was an issue. On August 4th it broke down in Traffic. She called the warranty company and the dealership, and they told her she has to go to the shop the dealership uses, run by a guy named Baha, who says yes he's heard of Auto Lending Group...but he is the OWNER! They lie and conceal and deceive at every turn. Do not go here. After getting the run around we were told to go ahead and get it diagnosed at Land Rover in Rocklin, where they found over $16,000 in needed repairs...fan clutch, motor mounts, oil leaking, coolant leaking, battery terminals, on and on, and on. And, the warranty company refuses to cover it at Land Rover, they want taken to Baha's shop...do the math here! Read the reviews. We were lied to, and my fiancée is distraught, suffering huge stress and financial loss and without a vehicle. I bought a 2014 Chevy Camaro ss from this place back in April 2022 so it's been a few years already. So far I've had a few issues with the car that were present when I first purchased it. Brake pads were worn, disc brakes in the front needed replacing too. Front suspension was shot. Down the line my engine began leaking oil but seeing as this wasn't an apparent issue until I've serviced the vehicle a few times, am not gonna hold it against this place. Look my experience with them wasn't all that bad. I got the car, my terms were pretty lame but I accepted them so that's on me. My main complaint really is there was some issues with the car I feel they should have had fixed before it was sold to me. Again it's been a few years since so I honestly don't really care much anymore. Also the warranty situation. I'd avoid it at all costs. I tried having an oil leak fixed at my local Chevy dealership and for some reason the warranty company sent us a warranty coverage for a completely different vehicle so I unfortunately had to pay out of pocket to fix it. Look guys, it's a used car lot. Am not saying you should avoid this place cause it really isn't all bad, just maybe for the dealership guys, y'all can do better at making sure the cars are drivable with little to no issues. It's a used car so it's understandable something will break down the road but c'mon now. And to the buyers, bring a mechanic and inspect the rides. It's common sense at this point, if you're buying a used car do your research on what your buying. read more

We purchased a 2017 BMW and upon driving away from purchasing the engine light went on. We immediately called and salesman said they'd take care of it and to come back next morning. Upon returning they had their mechanic take a look and stated they couldn't find anything wrong and there was nothing they could. After getting upset they said they could have their mechanic take a look and see if they could find anything. We decided to take it to our mechanic which we have trust in. He found they put in the wrong type of oil filter and was not place properly. This repair was $200, we crossed our fingers but within three weeks the engine light came on again, we took back to our mechanic and they found an engine coolant problem paid $850 to repair. Then after two weeks of repair engine light came on again. We took vehicle to BMW dealer and they ran smoke through engine and showed us on video of where the crack was in the engine $300 charge. To repair this would be between 8-10,000 dollars. We ended up trading in vehicle at a $6000 loss to us plus repair costs of $1350. Run away from this place, mechanic told there was no way they didn't know about this problem. read more

I know you don't know me but please trust me on this. They don't care about their customers they just want their money. Before all of this chaos has happened with my car i've heard others come here to get cars and guess what... they have the same exact issues. Bad customer service and no one knows what they're doing. I was greeted by one person, then pawned onto someone else. I couldn't even test drive a vehicle they had on a vehicle display platform, unless I was serious about buying it. How do I know if I was serious about buying it if I haven't driven it yet??? They agreed to have my mechanic to check out the vehicle before I fill out any paperwork and was told to call the sales person today, which I did, and they were out today. Talked with someone else, they said to get something scheduled then call that second back to let them know and they'll have someone take the vehicle to my mechanic. I was able to get in touch with my mechanic and they scheduled a time; I called the dealership back and they said the second person wasn't available; I mentioned that if they want me to make a decision to buying the vehicle today, I need their help to figure out a way to get the vehicle to my mechanic. Speaking with the third person during this time, they couldn't really help me and didn't want to get involved because they had their own customers. They finally decided on the call to make try to make it work out. 5 minutes later I received a call back from this third person stating that I would have to pick up the vehicle and have one of their people go with me, which I was OK with. They said that I needed to scheduled a time for my mechanic, which I already said I had a time, they said "No you don't, you said they would need it for the rest of the day"; which is accurate, I repeated what the mechanic said because they do have other customers in front me and if they have issues with other people's cars, my appointment could be pushed back. The salesperson started arguing that they can't have someone wait for hours with me, however, I told the person that could happen. The person kept arguing with me saying then it's not an appointment that I set up and that I would have to call the mechanic again, I repeated myself 3 times that I have an appointment set. I guess this person never went to the mechanic with an appointment that got pushed back before? I don't want to deal with people or a company that has people not on the same page or knows how to deal with reality. No one can tell a mechanic to work in a specific timeframe, especially a dealership, this isn't reality. read more

UPDATE: 11/15/2022 I have been non stop reaching out to Baha and get no response back from him.. I contacted the BBB, and they filled their response with lies saying I am making threats, which is a lie. The warranty I purchased for $2k extra is not working. He told me a week ago that I would have a rental, and that it was approved yet I have called warranty several times and they said no they haven't approved anything. The whole motor is blown on the car, and as checked since Baha blamed me for "hot rodding" the vehicle to blow the engine, he wanted the mechanic to check the computer rpm's when the motor blew, and as they checked it now they are saying to the BBB WE ARE MAKING THREATS WHICH IS LIES! And are saying that they upgraded my warranty more lies & they want me to remove my reviews which I will not be doing . Thanks . When I have my money back , a rental, or my car fixed I will gladly remove them until then I won't be . Horrible company if you want a car that is going to break down on you a few weeks later go here! Day I purchased ac didn't work! A week later I got broke down on the freeway with my 2 children in the car with me 2 hours away from home on my way to my father in laws memorial service! We couldn't make it cuz the piece of junk they sold me broke down! Had to buy a battery to get it back, and they replaced the alternator.
