Maryland Crab Cake On The Hill

Food and service were excellent and certainly hit the spot after a long day of walking around the Mall.

Cherry Old Fashioned

Came to DC for a few days before I head out to Maryland to visit friends After a long day of travel I checked into my hotel and given that I was thirsty and hungry I decided to just keep it local... and by local I mean eating inside the hotel Came down after leaving my stuff in the room and the grill was hopping! You have to sit yourself bar style so I was lucky enough to find an empty table for two although it was me, myself and me again! Service was slow but can't fault a ton there as it was packed especially since I was told they had a few conferences going on which explained the packed bar and grill I had a few drinks... started with a stella after I was told blue moon ran out ugh but I love Stella too but was bummed because I wanted a blue moon. Stella wasn't stellar ... I mean it was fine but it wasn't cold it was kinda room temperature cool which was a little disappointing. Then I decided on an signature cocktail and did the cherry old fashioned and that was delicious!! I ordered some wings, a pretzel, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The wings were great and so was the pretzel but I was hoping for more flavor on the chicken sandwich it felt bland and that's shocking given the chicken was grilled and had pesto so I was surprised and the fries it came with felt a little half cooled down too... not sure if they had left my plate sitting made before they brought it out but either way the sandwich could use more flavor Still it is a nice place and good choice to unwind after a long day!

Our friends were in town for the weekend and we stopped in here for a quick bite. We started off sitting at the bar, and tried their old fashioned's. I tried the apple cider and my boyfriend went for the cherry, both were tasty and made very well. There's ample seating and there's a ton of photo ops, including a sexy fireplace! Our servers were quick and helpful, we got a chance to talk with one of the managers and he kept us informed about their upcoming events. I'd definitely like to come back for dinner and try out some of their specialties.

Great food and great service. I ate a lentil curry dish. That was absolutely amazing and did not have any rice only Vegetables and lentils. My friend had the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. She said it was delicious. The food was beyond amazing. I had the best salad I think I've ever eaten in my entire life called L'Enfant Salad $15.00 Local Spring Greens Dressed with Sherry Vinaigrette, Shaved Fennel, Grapes, Tiny Tomatoes, Black Olives, Toasted Pepitas I couldn't do the vinaigrette due to mini allergies so I asked for a balsamic vinegar and olive oil. That way there was kind enough to bring me an amazing, thick, delicious, balsamic vinegar with it.

Not bad for a hotel restaurant and bar, quick service, decent options but as you may have guessed definitely overpriced. But that's standard for hotel restaurants and bars. I had the lamb kabobs and hubby had the rotisserie chicken. Both dishes were good and worth coming back if you're staying there.

This one of the best restaurants inside Hilton hotels i have been too. Food was great. We got cheese quesadilla. It was spectacular. Salad with salmon. Was super fresh. Pizza to go. Was amazing. Bar tenders were nice And very attentive. Will come back.

Pretzel, crudites.

If you're staying in the Hilton, this place is handy. But it's expensive, and slow. Fairly swanky bar and restaurant layout, a bit noisy at busy times (hotel busy times, not just the restaurant, because it is fairly open.). I first went in the evening for a late meal. The staff didn't seem to know the items on the menu, I had to point at each one. I got the pretzel and the crudites. It took half an hour to arrive. Now, for an entree, that's a little long but might have been appropriate. But not for these. True, they did arrive elegantly plated. And the food itself was great. Huge pretzel, a good dipping sauce. Very fresh veggies, also with a dipping sauce. But, for $40 and 90 minutes there total? Not worth it. The breakfast buffet, which you can purchase ahead of time or bill to your room, was equally overpriced. Service again was good, though minimal. The buffet is really nothing more than your standard hotel buffet, although the quality is definitely a bit better. But is it worth $20? No. Scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, pastries, fruit and juice. I mean, it was decent, but the only reason I went is because it was handy. There aren't many other places in the area.

Overpriced, pizza was clearly a frozen pizza, and the service was nonexistent. Do not eat here, go somewhere else.

Each cold pressed juice had a different spirit in it; our favorite was the green juice with the whiskey. I also love that they use good quality spirits because I'm not hungover today! The service was unbelievable, they truly made it such a special experience for us and we can't wait to come back. The tent was warm which we were thankful for given it's getting chillier out. I also love that it's black owned and they use catering and the juices from other black owned businesses. You have to check this place out!

Dacha is a semi-outdoor beer garden across from Nat's Park and a short walk from Audi Field, making it the perfect storm to collect a massive crowd before a game. We arrived shortly before happy hour ended, about two hours before a Friday night Spirit game and were able to get a table. Dacha did fill up quickly, but with plenty of seating and an open section with standing tables in the center, there was still room to move around. With the glass walls surrounding us, we felt like we were in a garden. The noise level, while high, was not as bad as Solace, and we were still actually able to hear each other. Our server did not check on us as time went by, but she did bring us waters as soon as we were seated, which really exceeds my expectations for a beer garden. Our food and drinks arrived quickly and were super tasty. Both the flagship lager and IPA were drinks I'd order again, and as a vinho verde admirer, I appreciated having that as an option on the HH menu. While the skinny burger is delicious, the real star of the HH menu is the fried pickles, homemade and flavorful and piping hot. I'm eager to go back for another pregame and try the HH cocktail, perhaps sampling something from the regular menu as well.

Trouble Bird was the answer to my prayers on a recent trip, where I was looking to have high quality drinks and a laid-back NON-commercial vibe with my team. We liked it so much, we came twice in one week, and I was impressed at their ability to handle and be comfortable for a large group in a space that can feel intimate. The lighting is nice and moody, the menu available via QR code, and the WiFi free and listed with password for patrons to use. We had excellent service both times, by the two folks working each night for a groups of 6-8 each time. There was something for everyone from the nondrinkers to the beer enthusiasts, to cocktail aficionados like myself. There's an amazing happy hour deal, with discounts on drinks all Monday and reduced prices for a couple of hours on other weekdays; it almost felt criminal how generous the happy hour was when I've gotten used to paying $20 for a mediocre cocktail at other nearby establishments. And the cocktails here are really very good, probably the best in the area, except for their immediate next door neighbor. The group favorite cocktail was the Midori sour which was incredibly well balanced and refreshing, and the surprising crowd pleaser was the Hamilton Dry Float, which came in a creepy tiki mug presentation that we really loved. We had a couple of the bar bites - the spiced peanuts were well loved across the group but my person favorite food item was the blistered shishitos, which came with a great chipotle aioli. The bathrooms are extremely clean and overall this was a bar favorite for the group for our week of going out and socializing together. Overall this is a gem of a neighborhood hangout with really excellent cocktails and service! Will absolutely come here next time I'm in town!

We ordered the Mac and cheese bites but they did not have any Mac.. it was just fried cut up mozzarella sticks. Which is great.. if that's what it was called on the menu. We also ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a pub burger. The chicken sandwich was fine. The pub burger was ... meh. The pretzel bun they brought out was over toasted and looked like it was pretty dry before that. Like it was HARD. No one came to check on us after the food arrived so I had to take my plate to the check out desk to address the issue. Cait took care of it right away; I asked for just a new bun - I don't mind swapping it out myself. But in the end the burger was still just meh. Almost forgot to mention the fries .. not great. They were salted well but the fries themselves were almost chewy. When we checked out, Cait said apologized and mentioned some staffing issues. She offered to get in touch with some sort of compensation but didn't offer to waive our one beer. We left paying full price for everything. Again, fine spot if you just wanted to hang out and drink beer.
