Their service is incomplete and Carlos does not like to go out of his way to help me save my time and money. I was trying to see if I can get a prescription modified with the doctor's consent but was told that I would have to go in again, pay for another eye-exam, to get the contact prescription I need to order through Costco. False promise! They told me the glasses will be ready in 7 days or maybe sooner. And when I called on day 10, they told me the ordered was just shipped from Texas the day before. I broke my glasses and needed a new pair of glasses ASAP. And I wouldn't have ordered them if I knew the order would take two weeks. They said the only thing I can do now is to go in the store to get another pair of glasses which they can make there at their lab. They will not offer any discount or anything. read more

WORST service I've received at a LensCrafters. I walked in and wasn't even greeted. After the staff would answer my question, they would walk away and continue their task on the computer up front. After my husband helped me decide on the glasses, we sat down to discuss pricing. I asked about insurance and right away Ashley said, sorry we don't take your insurance.. She didn't even look up my VSP, and was so quick to turn me down. I felt no friendless from her and walked out. On a much better note, I still supported your company and had FANTASTIC service at the LensCrafters at the Main Place mall. They are friendly, quick to help, and they had the eagerness to check my insurance in a few different ways. And guess what, it worked! I would highly recommend for your eye exam and glasses needs. Making an appt online is convenient and quick. All paperwork is sent to you by email so you are ready to go right when you arrive. I just stopped in after work at the Irvine Location on Jamboree to get my glasses adjusted and was helped by Giovanni. I mentioned how I didn't love my glasses and the issues I was having with my progressive lenses. He showed me some frames that were exactly what I was looking for and told me about the new Varilux progressive lenses that he thought I would like. I was also able to get an overdue eye exam, since they had an opening. Fast forward to today, a little over a week later. I just picked up my new glasses and they are so perfect I can't believe it. The lenses are amazing, I can't even tell I'm wearing progressive lenses, they are so easy to see out of. No more headaches and switching glasses out for computers! The process of buying the glasses was a good experience but the date that we were supposed to pick up the glasses kept being pushed back. I also waited 30 minutes on the phone today after being put on hold. Initially I was told the glasses would be ready in 7-10 days. On the 10th day I called and they said it would be ready in 3 more days. I called on the date I was supposed to pick up and they said it would be another 2-3 day for the coating. I came in here for the first time today to conduct an eye exam and had an amazing experience. My appointment was at 11:20 and I was checked in and in the room right on time. Ashley was really friendly and helpful and explained everything that she was doing as she was doing it! Dr. Karen Wu then saw me and also explained everything and answered all of my questions. Played some games in my phone and 30 min later still nothing and my patience exhausted. Asked the same associate and she said almost you will be the next person. Really? Because I was already next 40 minutes ago. Be upfront. Why must it be a game. If I had know it was that long I wouldn't have wasted yours or my time. Another example of a company note worried about numbers and profit than customer service and respecting my time. I was in the area and stopped in to see their selection of cases (since it is a business that specializes in eyeware). I've been meaning to pop in there for a while as the one I have is on its last leg. Roham directed me to two hard cases for oversized glasses and two soft ones on a display. It was not quite what I was looking for. I thanked him and was about to walk out when he quickly made a trip to the back and then handed me a brand new Ray-Ban case. I asked him how much it was and he said "no charge". Imagine my surprise (jaw drop)!! I was more than happy to pay for it. This was totally unexpected. Thank you so much, Roham! My wife and I both bought new glasses from Lenscrafters in Cherry Creek Mall. We both had the lense issues within 6 months as they appeared to have the coating on the lenses separating. They looked like a snail was crawling on them leaving a chemical trail. I have had glasses for 50 years and have had lenses deteriorate and get scratched over time. I where my glasses all the time and only take them off at night so I am not hard on lenses and use proper cleaning material. When took the glasses back the assistant manager told me I had scratched my glasses and there was little she could do for me. I told her my wife had the exact same problem and that she had come in are replaced the lenses with a $50 discount on $600 lenses. I said this was not acceptable. She eventually offered me half off or $300 for a replacement set. My prescription had expired so I went and got a new one and trying to decide if I should even go back and get the discounted lenses or go somewhere they stand behind the quality of their product. Last year I bought prescription sunglasses from LensCrafters after renewing my prescription. Things went great last year, but not so this year. Wordprocessing on computers regularly for work almost requires me to get my eyes checked annually. And the eye exam showed that I needed an update to my trifocal prescription. I planned to put my new lens into my old Dior frames, which I love, but LensCrafters had other plans. I got the text message to come in earlier during the week and I decided to do that on Saturday. I get there and they can't find my lens. And come to find out they were cut and installed into frames I didn't even purchase! Now I have to wait even longer for a second set of new lens to be delivered to the store and in the mean time, they are "allowing" me to "borrow" the frames I didn't buy which don't even fit my face. I'm going to have to go to work looking like crap for however long it takes to get my glasses back. I'm furious and they don't seem to get it. I even asked for a call from customer service, but instead it was the stupid store again telling me the same sob story. They messed up and they were sorry. And they can't seem to figure out how compensate me for my time and trouble because of their screw up now that I have to visit their store a second time to get my glasses back. Their advertisement for glasses in about an hour doesn't apply to anyone with a complicated prescription like mine. It's a total lie. If I knew it was going to take a week or more to get new glasses from them, I would have gone somewhere else. read more

Second time coming to pick up glasses and they're still wrong. The first pair I tried and felt like something wasn't right - after two days of blurred and double vision. I thought it may be just my eyes adjusting. After I couldn't take it anymore I went in and they said the lenses were made incorrectly. Another 10 days for the new glasses. Well, after 10 days I went back today and the lenses are worse and still completely wrong. I'm extremely frustrated and confused as to how a place that specializes in glasses can get it so wrong so many times. read more

I am putting a five star review for Terry my specialist. Today I came in to have my sons two pair of glasses adjusted and my vintage Ray-Bans adjusted. Terry took the tube to remove the lenses from both pair of my sons glasses to better adjust the frame not just bend the temple piece in. What a difference taking the tone to do that makes!! Well done Terry! Also she noticed that the 10% discount was only applied for my right contact lens order so she applied another 10% and I had an extra ten bucks in my pocket !! My glasses are so out of focus. The techs argue with you. They don't want to fix an incorrect script. The doctor saw me again and asked the techs to redo script. I got bullied and made to feel like an idiot. They refused to make a change. Whose eyes are seeing thru my glasses......mine.....I can't see properly.....they are disrespectful and inept. My 20-year old son needed prescription sunglasses, so we took his prescription to Lenscrafters at the Marketplace in Tustin. We were fortunate to get Lani, the store manager, to assist us. She noticed that my son's prescription had been entered in their system backwards--that is for nearsightedness rather than farsightedness. So she fixed that and saved us potentially having the wrong lenses. Then we asked her if she could help us make his existing glasses fit better. When she was working on the frame, it cracked! My son was devastated, but Lani was quick to ask him to pick out a frame he liked to replace those glasses. She was so kind about the whole thing that we walked out very happy. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in looking for glasses for my daughter until I met the gentleman - I believe- Giovanni. I can't express my gratitude for his education, his professionalism, his support to get my daughter's oaklys that had inserts in them called miaopia inserts with new lenses. While at first I thought the prices were a bit higher than I hoped I realized how this establishment is well run and u felt like a family here. The experience Giovanni provided us was simply second to none. Ans the kicker; we gave him our lenses last minute with a volleyball tournament the next morning at 730 am and for him to help manage the back end team to get us our glasses a couple hours later was simply the best ever experience! Dan is THE MAN at this Lenscrafters in Irvine Marketplace!!! I had 2 pair of sunglasses that have been my favorites the past year or two, and so they needed minor screw and nose pad repairs. Dan fixed both issues with a positive attitude and genuine desire to help me, rather than see me as a burden in his workday. The repairs were made on site in less than 10 minutes. I asked for the cost of his troubles and he told me repairs were complimentary. "but I didn't even buy these glasses here?...." Nope, no charge regardless of place of purchase. Mind blown. He was eager to help me knowing it was no sale!! Wow!!! I will definitely consider LensCrafters the next time I need spectacles or sunglasses. BRAVO, DAN!!! read more

Wouldn't recommend this location. I ordered lenses for frames that were purchased elsewhere years ago. And after 12 business days and 18 full days, the only information I could get on the status of my lenses were... "they're on hold, we'll call you when they come in." I was promised 7-10 days upon purchasing them and have always experienced that in the past. I asked "Why are they on hold and can I get an ETA?" (I could and would've been patient if I received an explanation) But the response I got was "we don't know but we'll let you know when they come in." I completely understand the measurements are sent out to a lab that creates the lens, but I really would've appreciated if the folks at LensCrafters, who sold me the lenses, could reach out to their parter at least one of the four times I pushed, to see what's causing the delay and for an ETA for their customer. It was clear I was unhappy for getting no answers. I had picked up my previously purchased fames a few days before because I was completely uneasy about the shadiness that was going on. I tried to give them a bit more time, but after receiving the same response again, "we'll let you know when they come in" with no effort to find out what's actually going on, I canceled my order. Didn't have this experience when I went there about 3 years ago, so I'm sad to see the huge decline in customer service. A customer shouldn't be stuck waiting an unknown amount of time for her $380 lenses to be ready. At least be honest with what could possibly be causing the delay. Customer service wasn't the best during the visit either, employees are more focused on themselves than the customer, but I had hoped I just came at a bad time. Guess not. Canceled with out an issue. When I was asked why and I said " because I don't know how long I'm going to have to wait, or even what's causing the delay." The response I received... "oh sorry to hear." Customers aren't always right, but at least help them, by making an effort to get them answers they need when they ask for it. read more

During my 2017 visit, I was told that I should buy a full year of contacts subscription and any unused unopened contacts can be exchanged if my prescription changes. In 2018, my prescription changed and I turned in 270 days of contacts. I received my new contacts and it only contained 90 days of supply. When I called, the explanation is that my insurance doesn't rollover, and I only got credit for what I paid out of pocket. Poof, there goes 180 days of contacts. So lense crafter and the contacts company collected revenue for supply of 270 days, but only really sold 90 days of products. What a scam. I am disappointed and would not fall for this scheme again. read more

Poor Customer Service. I called in early to get pricing regarding some custom lenses for my frames. I got pricing and made it clear multiple times that I have my own frames. I even called back twice to inquire more about the product I was buying and verified pricing. I left work early and after waiting in line, they said the pricing offered to me on the phone was for a special promotion that was after you buy a pair of frames. Classic but unintentional bait and switch. I understand that people make mistakes, however I think if LensCrafters had better customer service they would have honored the price I was given on the phone. They would have made money on the product even though I got the sale price and I would of bought the second pair I wanted. read more

Had a wonderful experience my first time here. I was running late to my appointment and the staff and doctor still made the time to accommodate me and help me get my full eye exam and lenses ordered! Absolutely blown away by the service of Luis/Lulu, he took the time to assist me with my lenses and insurance and even stayed back an hour after he was supposed to be off just to help me finish my order and transaction. I brought 2 frames purchased from a separate retailer and they were able to accommodate me and use them to put my new lenses in. I have multiple insurance coverages and he actually took the time to find me the best possible deal for both of my lenses even if it took longer to do so. I'm definitely coming back just because his customer service was so great and would recommend this location to everybody. read more
