Loved this place. The girl helping us, wish I could remember her name. Young girl who commuted in from Lancaster. Great to work with. Very friendly and really seemed to know her stuff. Worked with Dr Chow and let me say she is a god send. I have been struggling with my eyes and prescriptions for the last few years and she was able to get me exactly what I needed. 1 week into my glasses and I can say i feel so much better. Computer glasses, regular glasses and cute new sun glasses. She understood my issues and explained to me what could help. Love her. The Love that my glasses are ready in a few hours only problem I found was that they had less of a selection compared to the Northridge Mall facility and the prices were fine vs other places I have been to. Lot of waiting to see optometrist. When I went to collect my new pair of glasses they gave it to me in cloth pouch. Asked for cleaning cloth and the guy said "no we don't provide that". It is kind of cheap just handing you the new eye glass worth $300+ without a box or a cleaning cloth. read more

I went there on 12/3 to order a complete set. However, I forgot my wallet. I asked the associate to email the quote. I went back to fulfill my order on 12/4. The price jumped $130. The email somehow did not make it to me so they could not honor it even though the associate remembered us and the original price. Poor customer service standards. My wife and I were here on Sat. Oct 27 2012 for eye exams and glasses (we made an apt a week early). Emily and I were both very please with Debbie who helped us through the processes of our examinations and picking out frames. One of the great things about LensCrafters is the great selection of frames they carry. Dr. Wong comes across as very professional and thorough. Debbie as well was professional and helpful, despite being double-teamed by my wife and I. We had a lens pop out of a pair of sunglasses. A quick check of my maps revealed this Lenscrafters within a few minutes of our hotel. So we stopped by and were greeted by a very cheerful and enthusiastic young man. He took the glasses, identified the problem (and corrected it) and put the lens back in. Very quick, very friendly. I wish all Lenscrafters were like this. That said, I cannot comment on getting NEW glasses from here. We just came in for the repair. read more

I ordered my glasses before COVID and they were due the first week that COVID quarantining started. It took also stipulates two months to get my glasses. I used their phone system to leave messages and email and online forms to request stays that went unanswered. When I finally picked up my glasses, they were handed to me in a plastic bag. This place is unprofessional and they do not know how to or maybe just do not care to be courteous and definitely have communication issues within this facility. My daughter is a minor and they had her sign paperwork. ( the whole time they know whom I am I'm standing outside the glass they ignore me because they're rude) I ordered and obviously paid for contacts to be shipped at my address and have not received them the transaction was quick as to just get me to leave because I like knowing and I was asking questions. not once did the rep Repeat an address to me it was Like the information I was requesting from them was too much for them to look up and obvious that the chart or her file was not reviewed. The rude woman on the phone said, "If it's more than 10 minutes we'll have to cancel your appointment". This from the place that routinely makes you wait an hour or so. We explained the insurance had the wrong birthday which is why we came back to pick out friends . Apparently that concept was too difficult to understand because they looked at us confused . AVOID this place! First of all, my colonoscopy took less time than my eye exam and lense order. Dr. Healy was thorough, but they schedule appointments too close together and make you wait forever. Secondly, I received one voicemail at NOON saying my lenses arrived and the tech who cuts the lenses would be in from 11-1 and if I wanted to drop off my frames before that I could pick up the glasses the following day .... HUH, that makes absolutely no sense. Since I wasn't able to drop everything that day and rush right over there I began calling almost every day to see when the tech would be in again to cut lenses. Today I finally got a confirmation that two techs would be in from 10-5 so I rushed over and arrived at 10:10, but was told he is running late and the lens cut would take a minimum of an hour and a half. The other tech was due in at 11. I asked the gal why the lenses aren't already cut when they have my frame brand and style number ahead of time, and her response is we can't it's illegal. I stayed until 10:30 and no sign of the tech. At this point I lost all confidence in this establishment and got a refund. I will never step foot in LensCrafters again. read more

Cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. The Eye Exam of California office was great. Dr. Wong was very thorough! He explained everything thoroughly and gave me a great explanation of my eye health. He was very friendly to all of his patients in the waiting room, as well. When getting my glasses, Santana went ABOVE AND BEYOND. There was a slight hiccup with my insurance and they way my exam and lenses needed to be charged. He noticed the issue, was on the phone with the insurance for 45 minutes and did not give up until he got the best answer. He was extremely sweet the whole time and also helped me pick out great frames! I will definitely recommend this location for exams and frames/lens. read more

Let me just start out to say I'm actually giving five stars to the doctor who has helped me these last 3 months and was eventually and finally able to get my eyesight back in order thank you so much Dr healy. My review begins in the middle of April of this year 2022. I have been trying to find somebody who can deal with my astigmatism for the last six or seven years. I have a very high prescription and I have been going to The Vision Center who I have a couple people over there who ideally love and help me. I haven't been able to find the right prescription especially with doctors at The Vision Center and they have had to remake my glasses a couple times and finally got it right back in 2018. So I have been using a four and a half year old prescription to see throughout my eyes. But because the prices have gone up with the pandemic I decided to go with LensCrafters for a $75 exam, cuz I'm definitely not paying 150 with the other. I mean seriously you better increase the minimum wage or lower the cost of lobster. The couple of ladies who helped me with the exam we're amazing knew what they were talking about and quickly got me in and out with the machines. I wasn't expecting to be in the eye doctors for literally over 5 hours. I got there around 2:00pm and didn't leave till about a little over after 7:00. And that was back in april. When all is said and done I saw Dr.Heely who was one of the most amazing doctors in the world who helped me. On that day this last April, it was basically like trying to pull teeth with the front staff and figure out how to get the transaction done and of course pay over $550 out of my own pocket because I don't have a vision insurance. Over these last 3 months, Dr Heely took absolutely good care of me and eventually and finally was able to find the perfect prescription that gave me my eyesight back. It took four different remakes that he approved and was covered to finally get the right pair of glasses right. The reason I am giving this company two stars is not only for making me wait 5 hours for a doctor's appointment that should have taken one or two, but the front staff for a lack of the better word once they are very busy completely incompetent in actually focusing on one patient and dealing with them and then moving on to another. They try and manage everybody and end up screwing stuff up case in point, my transaction had to be redone over again because they were trying to manage three other people and didn't realize that the lady that was helping me who gave me and quoted me a certain price didn't understand how to put it in the computer and therefore was charging me an extra $200 until finally the manager Zahara (nice lady) had to come over and do it herself. I'm actually giving five stars to Dr Healy for taking such good care of me as I hope he reads this. Also one last thing I want to mention is there's a certain manager that works there which I won't say a name who needs an absolute personality and attitude check as she thinks it's okay to argue with customers and talk back to them basically arguing with them on what protocol is when the doctor tells me one thing and she tells me another. I think she knows exactly who she is. Attitude check woman! You're dealing with patients who are trying to get their eyes in order not a Rowdy fan of the Dodger Stadium. Learn respect or get out of this industry. I will probably go back next year for another eye exam and see Dr Healy and probably not make eye contact with a few people who I just can't absolutely stand. ALSO! Recently went for an eye exam. The Doctors here are very pleasant and professional. Looking at many reviews that mention rude employees is another thing. They really need training here on basic customer service skills. Very unwelcoming as you arrive. I think they are good at talking amongst themselves as part of a social click. Again, this is the fault of management and ownership. Be cautious of their up selling and pricing!!! I would look around for other eye centers before you choose this one (if at all). I thought this place had its own lab. Guest not. Have to wait about a week for glasses. If I would have known that, this place would not have been a choice. read more

I loved the darling designer frame, but they didn't tell me that they would not stay on my face correctly . Now I'm stuck with them. No one told me what to do after my eye exam, so I went to the counter & asked her if someone could help me order glasses. Jaime said, "You didn't get your eyes checked yet." I she did not ask me if I had, but told me I hadn't. I informed her that I did. She said, "Are you sure?" and began explaining how some people think the pre-exam is the eye exam. Zero rating. Long wait time. Staff upsells every step of the way. Office refuses to release prescription without a second follow up. Went in before a work trip: waited 1.5 hours with an appointment. Had an exam for glasses, sunglasses, and what I came there for--contact lenses. The doctor gave me some trial contacts to last the duration of my work trip (since ordering takes a few weeks) and told me to wait for the staff to help in the main retail space. The staff push product on you while you wait for the prescription. I waited an hour. When I came back from my trip I was ready to buy a larger subscription for the lenses and suddenly was required to go back in for a new fitting to confirm the daily lenses have "settled". I've been wearing lenses for 20 years and never had an optometrist office say I need to go back for a second exam to make sure the lenses fit--that's what the first exam is for--otherwise why send me off with lenses that don't fit? The staff told me when I come back in I can buy lenses thru them. I told them I will absolutely not buy thru lens crafters and plan to take my prescription elsewhere. read more

I went here hoping they'd be able to give me an updated prescription and fix my eyesight, as well as asking for basic medical information for work. They were unable to give me that information at the end of my appointment even though I had mentioned exactly what I needed at the time my appointment began. So, the next day I ended up going somewhere else and that place got me a new prescription that is pretty different from what LensCrafters gave me - and it works way better, I can see clearly for the first time in years. I had an appointment at the LensCrafters inside Macys at 12pm. When I called to schedule it I asked how long it would be. I was told one hour. I got to the appointment at 11:30am, filled out paperwork, did the pre-doctor testing, and was back waiting from 12:30-1pm. I had another appointment at 1:30 which I figured was enough time to go from LensCrafters to the next appointment. The doctor was incredibly nice and helpful but the staff outside the doctor was not nice or helpful. I'm not sure what her name is, but one taller lady with glasses and her hair up in a bun was helping a family check- out. I asked if I could come back to check-out and pick up contacts and she said no I couldn't. She made it seem like the only way to check out was through the computer. At this point it was almost 1:45pm and I was very late for my next appointment because they had triple booked the doctor. After 10 minutes of her helping another family check-out and pay she said, "you're just waiting for contacts?" I told her, "No, I am waiting to check-out because you said I couldn't come back to check-out" and miraculously a little credit card reader was brought up so I could check-out. Overall, not happy and will not be back. If you're going to schedule the appointment make sure you get there early and plan to be there for 2+ hours and deal with people that were not nice or helpful. I was given some contacts and the doctor was very helpful. I really appreciate her for her focus on each individual client but the other staff was less than desirable. read more

I was looking for good frames online at the LC website. Found about 6 that I wanted to try on and was surprised that the website said Valencia Town Center had them all. But upon arrival I learned that they didn't actually have any of them. I inquired about this and the clerk just offered "The website lies" and, without remembering her exact words, then implied that I'm somewhat responsible for this outcome for believing that the Valencia LC would have expensive frames. I just walked out. Then I came home, wrote to their corporate headquarters and this Yelp review. From these Yelp reviews you'd deduce that they must be losing a lot of customers because of this. read more

My appointment was at 12:40 today I waited for more than 30 minutes to get eye exam. Then front office couldn't find my insurance in the system which worked before !!!! I'm so frustrated right now. It's been more than two hours and I'm still waiting for my glasses to be ready and plus I'm late for work !!!!! So unprofessional of them, they should have given me a discount for wasting my time there !!!! Although it seems that their space could be a little larger, this store is very nice to be able to get an optometrist visit, contact lens training and glasses all in one place. These people don't know what they are doing. I tried getting some glasses there a few months back and they managed to get the prescription wrong 3 different times before I finally gave up and returned them. Then, after all the trouble I had with the glasses, they gave me a hard time for trying to return them. I also had a difficult time getting them to work with my insurance, which they claim to take, but when I gave them the info, they tried telling me I wasn't eligible. I had to have my insurance call them to straighten it out. I went to another doc and got a new exam, and after comparing the prescription that Lens Crafters gave me to what the other doc prescribed, LC basically gave me the complete opposite of what I actually needed. I'm nearsighted, and the LC doc told me I was farsighted and had astigmatism. I should have been clued in by the fact that several people came in to have their glasses adjusted while I was waiting for my exam. read more

BE PREPARED TO WAIT Today I had an unfortunate experience with the EyeExam segment of the Valencia LensCrafters / Eye Exam. I waited 25 minutes before the appointment started. Waited for the DR segment of the exam to begin, agreed to have my eyes dilated and waited again. After two hours I left without a complete exam. There were no less than six associates in the office yet what appeared to be one DR that could not handle the appointments. My husband who had an appointment after me, was smart enough to leave when his appointment hadn't started after 35 minutes. The process has you sign in yet they don't look at the sheets. They have you fill out forms with information that exists if you are a returning patient. Go elsewhere if you value your time. read more

I proceed directly to the front desk, no greetings no hello no may I help you, NOTHING ! ! ! By the "manager" So after I greet her she hands me paperwork to fill out, I fill it out hand it back. . She proceeds to tell me to look around that it will be some time before its my turn. . Ok Never did she once mentioned that they had a designated area to wait out my turn. . At a certain point I get tired and decide to grab a seat in the front, of course not knowing that I had an option of a waiting area. . Finally this poor technician approached me and asked if I was so and so. . Yes I said. . She proceeds to say, "I almost gave up on you, usually the people sit over on that area" The Doctor and the sales people are wonderful. . Its management that need customer service skills. .
