I needed to find an appliance repair shop for my more than ten year old dryer. Seems like you never really know how it may turn out when you're calling a company you've never used. I shouldn't have worried. On the recommendation of friends, I called Leonardi Appliance. Since my repair wasn't an emergency, I didn't ask for service the same day. On the day the repairman was to come, he called and actually wanted to come a bit earlier than the four hour window I'd been given. That was the first bit of good news. Then when he arrived, he was able to assess the problem, take care of it, and make sure my dryer was in working condition, all within 30 minutes. I am quite pleased with their service and will definitely call them when I'm ready to purchase any new appliances for my home, as well as when any of my appliances need service. I called Leonadri's asking if they could repair my ancient freezer that isn't working. With the COVID-19 Virus, I wanted to get it running to have some more storage capacity. Leonardi's was punctual and professional and did a quick inspection and advised due to the age of the freezer and R11 refrigerant, they could not repair it. My father owned a small business in Yorkville for 30 years and I owned one for over 20 years. We both always believed in supporting independent family businesses and not supporting the big box stores. Leonardi Appliance has great service: from my phone call, to their reminder of my appointment, to the repair person arriving on time, through the repair service, a fair and reasonable cost, to their follow up call on my appointment. The repair person had the parts in their van and obviously had experience repairing refrigerators. The repair person explained what was wrong and showed me the broken parts, cleaned everything up and it was done fast. I called and the person scheduling the appointments tried to fit me in as soon as possible. Someone came out and replaced the pulley that was squeaking real loud. Then the dry stopped heating up and we called them back, they came out again and looked at the problem, turns out the first guy accidentally loosened a wire while fixing it the first time. (Accidents happened) But we were told what honestly happened and weren't charged for the second visit at all! It's hard to find trustworthy people, but they have have business anytime we need a washer or dryer repaired. read more

I called in today because our oven microwave unit froze after a power outage. Previously after a power outage the unit clock stopped & I would reset it. This time the panel froze & I couldn't reset it. The whole panel lit up with instructions. So I called Leonardi because they had good ratings. I spoke to Dan & he asked me to turn the breakers off, check if the panel cleared & then turn the breakers back on. Dan walked me through & fixed the problem so that our unit worked again. He explains what broke, why, and how to prevent it from happening again. He is honest, fast, and I know for certain fair. We never knew he was the actual owner. I recommend calling on Leonardi Appliance. I have been a customer for some time. I called Leonardi's for repair on my French door, bottom-freezer refrigerator. And Josh answered the call. He was prompt and professional and diagnosed the problem right away. (The biggest problem was me - not defrosting the freezer correctly.) But just in case, he ordered a rail for the drawer. He gave me my "homework" before he returned for the next appointment. When he returned, sure enough I was the problem. So he saved me the costly expense of a rail and provided some detailed (and might I add simple) workarounds for my defrost issues. He was very pleasant and very honest. This is a review I never thought I would write. This past Saturday we noticed our refrigerator was not working. We called an appliance repair concern, and it became apparent that repairs would be too costly. So, we called Leonardi's. We were told that delivery would not be till over a week. We told Leonardi's that we had no refrigerator. This did not make a difference. This is ironic because we began using Leonardi's in 1987 when we moved into our new home. The appliance store where we purchased our kitchen and laundry appliances called and told us they could not make the promised delivery date. The promised delivery date was on a Friday, and therefore at the earliest it would be Monday before we would get delivery. we had phonebooks back then, and I called Leonardi's. We have had our older appliances serviced by Leonardi's a few times in the past and they have always been knowledgable, helpful and fairly priced. We recently purchased a new washer and dryer and the sales staff were very helpful. They price matched to another local business with no problems. The delivery guys were great and everything was hooked up properly and tested before they left. We ran into a small problem the night the appliances were delivered after using the dryer for a couple hours. I called the store just to ask a question and they sent out one of their service techs within the hour, and this was around 5pm on a Friday night. It turned out the service tech was one of the owners of the company. He checked everything out and gave us great advice and we haven't had a problem since. My dryer was not heating up like it should. I had Josh from Leonardi's come and fix it about 6 months ago and he understood and fixed the problem within 10 min. I attempted to use the dryer again this week and it would not heat up again. I stopped into the store and Josh was there. Thank goodness they were not busy because Josh remembered me and came right over to look at my dryer again. He again fixed it in less than five minutes because he noticed the gas was turned off due to the recent fire I had in my kitchen four days earlier. Leonardis was recommended so my fiancé and I went to buy a washer and dryer . our salesman was polite seemed knowledgeable, he sold us on buy American beautiful pewter colored front loaders with the pedalstools of course and don't forget the extended warranty , Crosley great co, he said Loved them ,,, NOT our beautiful machine were trouble right away now three yrs later we have a washer that doesn't work at all min price to fix 400 at least ,Crosley our American co ,no help our local business no help , was told we tried to buy from this company and were disappointed , they have over 2000 dollars of our money we have a washer that doesn't work and a dyer that doesn't dry and no where and no one who will help lest of all Leonardis I even called and asked if we bought a new set would they work with us the answer no would never recommend them read more
