I went to Leora Cafe on a Saturday morning with a friend, and despite the long wait, we decided to give it a try. The ordering process was chaotic and confusing, no clear direction, and staff seemed overwhelmed. When we finally sat down, we immediately noticed a ridiculous number of flies hovering around our food. My chicken Caesar wrap and sweet potato fries came out quickly, but that was the only positive part. The fries were soggy, the wrap was mediocre, and the croutons were stale, definitely not worth the wait. Then things went from bad to worse: I found a piece of hair inside my wrap after taking a few bites. I flagged down the host to let her know, and instead of apologizing, she literally rolled her eyes, said "omg," and walked away. No follow-up, no manager, nothing. After waiting several minutes, I went up again to ask if someone would address it. The host asked, "You're full?" which made no sense, and after my friend clarified that I'd barely eaten, she offered to replace it with another wrap or a different menu item. I went with one of the bowls just to move on. Later, I found out they charged my card extra for switching items, even though the change was due to their sanitation issue. I never approved or signed for the new amount. When I emailed them, they sent a receipt I never signed for and have not responded since. Charging a higher amount without notice or consent is not only unprofessional but likely illegal. Overall, this was by far the worst dining experience I've had in Los Angeles. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Leora!!! The service felt noticeably different compared to other guests, and it was honestly upsetting. Every other table around us was offered water by the waitstaff except for us and another couple of color seated nearby. When I politely asked for water, the waiter pointed to a container in the corner by the wall (which turned out to be warm water) instead of providing the same service everyone else received. What made the situation worse was that a new couple was seated next to us shortly after. When they asked for water, they were immediately served without hesitation. While this was happening, the waitress looked directly at me, which made the disparity feel very uncomfortable and hard to ignore. We spent about $100 that day and left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. Sadly, this was not the experience we expected, and it's not a place I feel comfortable returning to. I recently visited Leora Café in Beverly Hills for the second time and unfortunately had a really unpleasant experience AGAIN because of the hostess/OWNER, Laura. From the moment I walked in, she came across as very disrespectful, unwelcoming and extremely petty. A restaurant should feel warm and inviting, but her attitude completely ruined the vibe and energy of the place. Since I wrote a review regarding this matter already, I thought if going back, I would feel a different way, but clearly nothing has changed with her. My friends are still felt very uncomfortable and we're not excited to stay or go back which is so disappointing because the café itself seems nice. I really hope management addresses this and that Laura works on being more polite and welcoming to guests. Visitors should feel appreciated when they walk in, not annoyed, upset and pushed away. read more

I stopped by Café Leora and ordered the schnitzel sandwich with an iced tea, and wow it was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and made with so much care. Paired with the iced tea, it was just perfect. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the atmosphere. The chef personally comes out to greet everyone, which is such a rare and special touch. He's so friendly and welcoming, and you can feel the love he puts not only into the food but into the entire dining experience. Parking was super easy, which made the visit even more stress-free, and the ambience inside is excellent. It's such a happy, joyful, and welcoming spot you can't help but feel good being there.
