Breakfast Burrito
Erin T.

Tried Wake and Late at the recommendation of my coworker and it did not disappoint! I ordered online, so by the time I arrived, my order was already ready for pickup. The service seemed friendly and welcoming, though since I was only grabbing takeout, I didn't interact much beyond pickup. The interior is cute and clean, and seems to have a pretty decent amount of seating. The parking lot it's in is free which is convenient if you drive! I usually order the classic breakfast burrito with steak, and they are were delicious, flavorful, and I would say pretty filling and reasonably priced. I did notice that on a few occasions the sauce was mixed up (I got cilantro sauce instead of chipotle), so I'd recommend double-checking your order before heading out. I don't really have a preference and both are good, so it doesn't bother me much. Would definitely be back for another breakfast burrito run, just next time with a quick sauce check maybe.

Wake and Late serves one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! Each bite had the perfect balance of flavor and crisp, and the steak was incredible. Their sauces take it to the next level, don't miss them! Definitely check this spot out if you're in the area.

Okay, the breakfast burrito here does live up to the hype. Among some of the best I've ever had. I ordered the steak burrito and I was originally skeptical because of the small size and price at $18. However, the burrito was great quality. All of the components meshed well together from the creamy avocado to the crunchy tater tots. For the protein, I ordered steak and it was cooked and seasoned well and wasn't too chewy. I also really liked how compact everything was and nothing fell out while I was eating the burrito. For the side sauce, I ordered the cilantro crema and it paired well with the burrito. I provided good heat and herby flavor to the burrito. If the sauce had more of creamy flavor, it would be perfect. The interior inside was really clean and nice. I liked seeing how the tortillas were freshly made. I also liked the packaging of the burrito which made it feel upscale. Overall, a great experience here and I would recommend to anyone visiting LA. I would love to try the bacon burrito soon.

ICED MATCHA LATTE 8/10: I got the iced matcha latte, regular milk, with light sweetener. For the price point, I think that the matcha is fairly standard and if anything, it has to be some of the smoothest matcha I have tried. I would suggest this for anyone who isn't into cold foam and wants a simple matcha latte. *Also maybe this is just me?? But I found that the lids tend to collect some drink on the edge and it would fall down the side. I unfortunately ended up with some stains on my clothes :( BURRITO + STEAK 6/10: The burrito itself is 13 dollars and the steak was an added 5 dollars. Some good things of this burrito are that the base price comes included with avocado and that the tortilla is chewy, thin, and has a nice crispy edge. The sauces were amazing! The cilantro lime was my favorite, it had pieces of cilantro, and the chipotle aioli had some acidity and sweetness that paired wonderfully with the burrito. (The burrito comes with ONE sauce) While the sauces were good and the burrito had a nice texture, I unfortunately found it to be underwhelming. There was a lack of seasoning and I felt what added most of the flavor was the sauce. The size was also on the smaller side compared to other burritos I've had in the area. Just wasn't for me. *Take a look at the menu, they also do clarify that they have a seed-oil free kitchen which is great!! NOTE-- - Friendly service!! Quick to fulfill my order. - They have a little syrup bottle where they have the straws... very convenient if you want to adjust the sweetness of your drink!! Love that detail. - They have a bathroom! - Indoor seating.. and there is a little parking area! Beware- it does get full.

So finally trying Wake and Late since they just opened in WeHo. I ordered the Egg Burrito and added Avo. Total cost was $17 and includes 1 choice of sauce, each additional is .75 cents The size was pretty small for the price, everything was compacted. Bacon was chopped up like Bacon Bits. Overall it was an ok burritos, it's the price that gets me. There is a large parking lot and cards were accepted.

Got the classic breakfast burrito! I was worried this place would be overhyped but it was actually pretty good and affordable - with no added meat this was $12. For me, the crispiness of the tater tots and the tortilla are the most important parts of a breakfast burrito and they nailed it. The chipotle aioli is really yummy as well. Loved that they had a lot of tater tots in there but they do feel a little greasy and heavy by the end of the meal. The avocado helps. Pretty small compared to other breakfast burritos but fair for the price. It was a long wait but great ambiance inside, everything was super cute and clean. I would park in the neighborhoods nearby because the parking lot is tiny

Wake and Late has a new location (open a couple months now) and I couldn't be happier! I've been a fan of their breakfast burritos for years now, so I'm ecstatic about this location that is quite convenient to me. And they open at 7am everyday! I appreciate early opening places in this city of late risers. The base bfast burrito is $12 but add bacon for an additional $4 or steak for $5. This lightly but tightly wrapped burrito has eggs, avocado, tater tots, and cheddar cheese stuffed inside. You also get 1 sauce and I always get the Chipotle Aioli for a little kick without burning my face off. As I sit here eating my breakfast burrito while watching Sunday football (half for bfast & half for lunch is perfect sizing for me), I'm dreaming about their Frozen Latte that I must try the next time I'm in. The menu is simple and perfect, every time I pop in it tastes just as delicious as the last. I love a place that serves consistently good eats.

Breakfast Burrito DUNK, into chipotle ailoi. Don't dunk too much, it tastes great by itself.

A+ texture, crunch, & flavor in each breakfast burrito bite. Fresh OJ. I loved it. But WHEW! Glad my friend was treating me. This tiny $16 Burrito & even tinier $7 Orange Juice can't be something I visit too often. Very genuine, welcoming, friendly staff. Cool vibe, with LOTS OF PLANTS, which add a bit of privacy. Modern style and vibe, all around. Despite its size, I left feeling fulfilled. It's really all the burrito one needs in the morning. That orange juice on the other hand, could've been a few sizes bigger. Great place to take someone who hasn't been. Would be a great place to PICK UP and bring over, to someone, as a morning gift. Since everything is served in a cute lil' box.

I'm on a mission to find the perfect breakfast burrito for after my long runs, and Wake and Late was recommended by a friend. I usually run in Santa Monica, and most of the W&L locations are too far away to be feasible for post-run re-fueling. But today my run club met up in Griffith Park, so I jumped on the chance to try out their WeHo location. I have to admit that at first I was disappointed in the size of the burrito. It comes in a really cute box, but the burrito looked tiny compared to what I'm used to. Bacon was +$4 and I'm feeling cheap, so I opted for the meatless version which came out to about $15. I also got both the cilantro crema and chipotle aioli, and recommend both. I was glad I didn't get the bacon because nearly twenty bucks for a little brecky burrito? In this economy?! Turns out the burrito was the just the right size to fill me up enough without being too much. I only ran 5 miles today, so I wasn't super hungry but it was perfect. The tater tots inside were my favorite--they add a nice crunch which made up for the lack of bacon. If this place were closer to my run spot, I might make it a regular part of my rotation.

Cute packaging!

Talk about going above and beyond. We stopped by on our bikes and they let us store them inside the office so we could eat our burritos in peace, knowing they were safe. They couldn't have been more accommodating. And on top of all that, the burritos were banging. I really appreciate that they have an egg-free one. Not because I'm on some kinda dietary restriction, but bc I'm just not the biggest egg fan, especially in my burritos. Yeah, I said it. But the bean n cheese one was delicious, especially with the crema. It is on the small side, but it was priced right for the quality, and it was the perfect amount for the bike ride home.

Welcome to West Hollywood! We stood in line bright and early for some complimentary breakfast burritos and lattes. I opted for bacon and refried pinto beans with cilantro cream while my husband went for steak and pickled jalapeños with chipotle aioli. My latte was vanilla bean - his was chai. The homemade tortillas were top notch, and the filling satisfying. We couldn't identify the extra ingredients in huge quantities so the base burrito itself without add ons would probably be just as good. We both loved our side sauces. The space is huge and great for dining in person. But the togo boxes are cleverly designed and make for easy transport home.

Wake and Late has been my favorite breakfast spot for years and will continue to be my favorite! Visited this location for the first time while waiting for Ariana Grande's merch popup and have to shout Eric for bringing the vibes and great service at the top of the morning!! Bacon burrito with their cilantro cream is the best. We will be visiting again soon!

So many foodies swear by the breakfast burritos here at Wake and Late. We tried a breakfast burrito and a juarez burrito. The breakfast burrito was on my smaller size, but the components of it made it so flavorful, The cilantro crema was a nice touch, it has a bit of spice. If you thought the breakfast burrito was small, the juarez burrito is even smaller. I don't think it should be labeled as burrito, it's more of a tortilla roll up. It's pretty thin, but again it was really good. I hate to admit it...but I really liked the food despite the size and pricing. I recommend it for people that like smaller portions and care more about quality over quantity. They have a good amount of indoor seating and there's a free parking lot in front of the store. We came close to closing and the wait was only a few minutes for our food to be ready. ig: @cravingswithcat

5/5 - Flavor-packed, thoughtful plating, and absolutely worth the visit…read more This spot delivers on both flavor and presentation. I ordered a loaded carne asada-style dish served over fresh greens, and every bite was intentional and well-balanced. The beef was deeply seasoned, tender, and slightly crisped in places, which added great texture. It was topped with a creamy, slightly tangy sauce that tied everything together without overpowering the meat. What really stood out was the attention to detail: pickled red onions for acidity, fresh greens for balance, and a side of house-made pickled vegetables that cut through the richness perfectly. The tostada-style side topped with avocado, herbs, and onions added a nice contrast--crunchy, fresh, and vibrant. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portion size was generous without feeling excessive, and the dish felt hearty yet clean. I paired it with a refreshing citrus drink that complemented the meal well and kept everything light. Overall, this is the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen cares about execution. Bold flavors, great balance, and a presentation that looks just as good as it tastes. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying, well-crafted meal

She handed us menus and told us to order at the counter when we were ready and they serve breakfast all day. The menu can feel a little intimidating. It has Mexican, Guatemalan and Salvadoran which I am not all that familiar with. We landed on a couple of pupusas and a couple of fish tacos. There are signs letting you know the food is cooked to order and to expect a 20-25 minute wait, so at least they set expectations up front. The dining room was small but warm and colorful and there were additional tables set up just outside the front door. We had no problem finding a table inside. When the food came out, the portions were generous and the presentation was better than you'd expect from a humble neighborhood grill. The pupusas were crisp on the outside with plenty of filling, and the fish tacos were fresh and well-seasoned -- nothing greasy, nothing bland. Friendly service, solid food, and a spot I'd definitely come back to now that I know what to order.

The only other thing I did not like about this restaurant (and not much they can do to change it) is that there are only two bathrooms which get veryyyy busy and there is no room to stand and wait so you're kind of in the way the whole time. It's small dish style, so super fun to come with a group and try a bunch of different things. They had a ton of great options for vegetarians! It was a bit chilly outside but they have a lot of heated lamps on which helps a lot. I loved everything we ordered but I think my favorites (as a vegetarian) were the brussel sprouts, salatim, and the elote. The cashew pate and beet dip with the salatim were realllly good. The brussel sprouts were crispy and had a yummy sauce. The beet salad was good but I wanted it to have more of the goat cheese spread. The cauliflower was also really good - roasted and a little spicy. They had a fun list of cocktails and mocktails as well. The food came out at a good pace and I left feeling veryyy full. They were really sweet and even comped the dessert for our party which was very nice. We had the bread pudding and it was sooo good. I highly recommend eating here! It's an experience!

Since it was our first time at République, we didn't quite know what to expect, but we were completely blown away! From the atmosphere to the service and, of course, the food--everything was flawless. The Main Event Blueberry Pancake: My friend ordered this, and it was huge and incredibly delicious. A total crowd-pleaser. Filipino Pork Belly Adobo: I ordered this and was so impressed by how rich and deeply flavorful it was. Absolutely delicious. World-Class Service & Hospitality The service here is incredibly efficient, but what really made our day was the staff. Rambo took care of us and he was fantastic--so pleasant, attentive, and proactive with everything we needed. We also had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner! It was so impressive to see her on the floor working just as hard as the rest of the team. She was incredibly nice and you can tell she truly cares; we watched her personally ensure the quality of the dishes was on point before they ever left the kitchen. That level of dedication explains why this place is so successful. Do Not Skip Dessert! Before you leave, you must hit the pastry counter. We grabbed a few things to try, and they were sinfully good: Kouign-Amann: Flaky, caramelized perfection. Basque Cheesecake: Rich, creamy, and beautifully baked. Chewy Chocolate Cookie: Perfectly textured and decadent. We had such a beautiful experience here. The bread and butter was a standout, as well as the corn puff pastry appetizer (I can't remember exactly what it was called!). The steak and chicken main courses were to die for and the strawberry tiramasu was incredible. I could go on and on about the food. It really exceeded our expectations. Jared, our server was WONDERFUL. He was so attentive and on top of things. He communicated with my husband and I whenever he needed to and made our entire dinner so seamless and fun. The only downside to the experience was in planning the evening. I struggled a bit when it came to communicating with Sandra in the days/weeks leading up to our dinner. I didn't feel like we were a priority and often had to call or email multiple times to get a response. I found that to be very frustrating, especially because it was such an important part of our wedding and in the days leading up to getting married, the last thing I wanted to be doing was waiting on an email from the restaurant or hunting down a response about our beverage menu. I was also really bummed to see that when we got to the restaurant, our dinner menu had the wrong date printed on it. I wanted to bring one of the menus home as a keepsake, but it felt pointless when I saw the typo. There were also drinks on the beverage menu that we had never discussed, which was another disappointment. It ultimately didn't ruin our overall experience, but I think it's worth noting for other people planning larger dinner parties at Republique because I do wish a little more care had been taken on the restaurant's end while planning our dinner.
