Great service and prices make this place a solid choice. I can't speak at all to the Greek aspect of the menu, or really anything lunch or dinner, but it has a large breakfast/brunch menu as well. From looking at the menu, it is definitely less than most places around. I enjoy skillets, so I went with what I recall was called on the smaller (temporary?) menu the Mexican, though it could've been something like southwest. It indicated chili which I thought meant cooked with chilies and didn't see meat, so had some sausage added. It was a very unique taste when I jumped in. I then realized it was actual chili. Maybe obvious in hindsight, but was a surprise at the time. But it was also very different from chili I'm used too. Rather than the deep red chili with large beans, this was sweeter, lighter in colour with almost a pureed texture. I ended up enjoying it quite a bit, but far different from what I expected and a massive stretch from anything Mexican, or even southwest. But a surprise can be welcome. Leo's is a hit or miss thing for us but our visit to this location was definitely a hit. Leo's has 15 locations from what I could garner on their website. All are in Michigan and the majority of those appear to be in SE Michigan. We have been now to three or four of these and even with this small-ish sample size, I can tell the experiences can vary widely. This was the first visit to this store. This location on US 24 was convenient for us because it was on the way home from picking up our grandson to spend his Spring Break with us. We needed a place that was open until at least 10 PM and one where he could get pancakes. This location in a strip plaza was nicely placed in a good commercial area. The interior was tidy and attractive with a more than adequate seating capacity. It looked relatively new as though the store had not been in operation for too long. We were seated right away as it was not at all busy one hour from closing on a Wednesday night. Our server, Castle, attended to us right away and did a great job looking after us while we were there. The menu is typical of a Greek Diner at a Michigan-style Coney with a lot of choices. Our grandson indeed opted for Kid's Pancakes with Sausage and was very happy with his order. My wife tried the Banana Blueberry French Toast and was likewise pleased with her choice. I had the Chicken Kebab Dinner which included rice with tomato sauce. It was quite tasty. The portions were all more than sufficient as we each had leftovers to take away. I'll note that I had coffee to drink and found it better than average as far as Diners are concerned. Our final bill with food, drink, tax and tip was $43. At just over $14 each, I thought it was a good bargain. That's especially true since we all had leftovers for another meal. This was a positive visit and I'd say this Leo's location will remain an active option when we are in the area. read more

Holy heck, I guess they just mopped the floor, but it slicker than an ice skating ring in here. I am highly surprised that nobody fell on their tail end. The food itself is a solid 3 stars, Gyro's were decently moist and flavorful, however they drowned it in a massive flood of their tzatziki sauce. I do love me some sauce, but next time I will order it on the side. My wife got rice pudding from here to go, and she was pretty ill the next day, while we can't 100% attribute this rice pudding to be the culprit, it is the only thing that she had different from any of us so it is hard not to. read more

Dined at Leo's on Telegraph Rd. for lunch recently - nothing unusual about that, as we are frequent diners at this establishment. This time, I got the soup & salad. The bean soup is dependably good, although it sometimes can be overly salty.The co-diner got a chicken gyro, which was quite satisfactory.. As usual, service was pleasant and efficient. Leo himself was there - also not unusual, as the proprietor often keeps tabs on the place. As always, Leo's delivered good value for our dining dollar. read more

How this is not 5 stars is beyond me. We have lived in the area for over 20 years and Leo's is a go to place for take out! The Greek salads with chicken are a family favorite. Very disappointed... ordered a chicken Greek salad, which is what I try to order wherever I go for lunch, but this place features a pretty good size Styrofoam box for the small size however, an opening it up all the ingredients didn't even fill the box halfway and there's a big cup of dressing inside that took up even more room I mean, they could've jampacked this salad with toppings and should've done so nice and tightly to the brim, but definitely cheap out on the toppings and was well overpriced because of it as well... Coney's are a staple in this town, and I swear if you've eaten at one, you've eaten at them all. I've been here more than a few times over the years, but it's not really my go-to location. It's located at a really busy intersection, but parking is easy along with getting in and out. I usually come here to either meet up with a friend, or lately, have breakfast. Menu is good along with the prices, and it is a okay. In the summer, this place is toasty, and in the winter it's cold. Why? I don't know. I mean, it's not that they don't have heat or AC, it just seems to not be well controlled with the way the place is set up. Staff is good, and food is consistent. Like so many others, I have been a customer of this location for a very long time. The food is consistent and rarely disappointing. Today, it was disappointing. I ordered a mini Greek salad and my friend ordered a small Greek salad. The lettuce in her salad was brown-edged and not pleasing to eat. She did not send it back because our server said the new lettuce comes in Mondays and they use up the old stuff first. My friend said, "so basically we shouldn't order salads on Mondays?" Great coney island with a huge menu, including many greek items. The spinach pie was a good sized portion and just as good as most that I have had. The place gets really busy at lunch, and it's for a reason. Food is reasonalbe, fast and good. There are not many lunch places in this area, and at a reasonable price. This is my favorite meal to get - a grilled chicken greek salad (chopped of course) and a side of grilled whole wheat pita. I enjoyed eating at this Leo's because the waitress was so engaged.  She took notice of everyone in the party.  She took our orders with kindness and politeness.  One of the plates was a little late in coming out and she informed us immediately and commiserated.  She had a unique conversational skill that was interesting and reassuring. The food was very well made.  I had a mini-Greek salad.  The dressing was not what I was used to.  It was light and flavorful.  The vegetables in the salad were all fresh and crisp.  Following this I enjoyed a Gyro.  It was really good.  Plenty of cucumber sauce and just the right amount of meat and vegetables.  The onions were perfect - not too biting and not too mild.  It was an enjoyable experience. Drinks where fast ordering wasn't much later. Food came out in a reasonable time. I went with the Super Chili, my wife tried the Chicken Gyro and crispy Fries. Our friend got the Waffle. My Super Chili was good. The waffle was good also. The chicken on the Gyro was a bit dried out. The crispy fries seemed refried. Very nice crispy look but hard on the outside. I've eaten at several Leo's in the suburbs, but I do not recommend the one in Bloomfield Hills on Telegraph Rd. and Maple Rd. Upon pick-up, the server was rude and short with me. I ordered a medium Greek salad for two with chicken with some items on the side. I received one piece of soggy pita bread, three olives, and three slices of beets. Tiny spinach pie which was soggy, and I ordered it well done. Called and spoke to the manager (I'm really not a Karen). The response, "I will let the kitchen know ." Wow! Such a lack of consistency with salad ingredients and between days! I can say this because I eat lunch here 3x/ week! Some days my salad doesn't even bare any resemblance to the previous visit! Some days I have 2 tomato slices(very under ripened) and 2 huge chunks of cucumber slices and others I only get tiny morsels! Some days my turkey is shredded and some days cut. Some times I get the egg that goes on the salad and some days not! I'm told it's the cooks but it sure makes for an aggravating experience. I am a fan of the new menu, however. Leo's used to be our favorite quick stop for a Greek salad & a quick decent meal but not any more. Leo sold the restaurant and the quality and Management attitude has gone downhill. There is hardly any feta cheese in the salad, tomatoes are routinely hard & flavorless. Ask for extra beets, you get 1, maybe 2...even the quality of the lettuce is less. And lettuce is one thing that should turn over quickly and always be fresh in a diner atmosphere. New owners have expanded the menu, but really ruined a good thing. It's not a gourmet restaurant, it's diner food! The only redeeming quality, the servers work so hard. And the ones that have been there through the change know the quality has plummeted. Very very very bad news. This Leos has recently been sold and changed ownership. It is immediately evident in every part of the experience. The salads are skimpy and often missing key ingredients and the hot dogs, the linchpin of any Coney Island restaurant, are absolutely horrible. The hotdog literally smelled terrible-the smell lingered in our car for two days. This is incredibly sad because this was one of the BEST Leos or Coney Islands in Michigan-period. Leo's... You are one of the things I love about visiting my home town. You were born just a couple of years before me, and you've now got over 50 locations. That's what I call impressive growth! I'm waiting for the day that you expand outside of Michigan and only hope that you'll come to Arizona. In the meantime, there's nowhere else I find an incredible Greek Salad with pita bread that tastes like your's... perfectly balanced with crunchy fresh lettuce, just the right amount of feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, pepperoncini, olives, beets, garbanzos, and onion. Your famous Greek dressing is the perfect consistency and adds a flavor that I crave. When not in the mood for your Greek Salad, I love that you have anything and everything else one could ever want...from omelettes at breakfast time, Coney Specials and fries for late night or when the urge strikes, sandwiches, desserts, etc... I love the casual environment of your restaurants, the friendly staff, and of course the moderate prices. I don't get to enjoy you often, but you're typically the first stop I make when I get back to Michigan, and now that you sell your dressing by the bottle, I do get to pour that familiar flavor on my salads, which is the next best thing. In addition your employees that work inside should be at least somewhat gracious about handing out information that isn't accurate. I placed a carry out for a small Cobb salad. The cook forgot to put on the blue cheese crumbles. That was the entire reason for my order. I was craving blue cheese crumbles. I called to find out my possible solution options and was told the cook flat out just forgot and all the manager was willing to do was give me 15% off my next bill. Just a simple Coney Island. Nothing fancy or spectacular. We stop here when we are in Bloomfield Hills for a family trip every 2 or 3 months. The Coneys and fries are good with a side Greek salad, they aren't GREAT but it is good enough for a typical Detroit Metro Coney Island Diner Service is always a little weird, they seem distracted and you don't know if you should pay at the back register or the front one, seems to be know rhyme or reason to it, they just open the register they like most that day.....
